Summary
Luffy wasn't Roger's child, and she wasn't a revolutionary, either. She was the granddaughter of a marine, grew up on an island in the middle of the weakest sea, and couldn't think anything through. She wasn't Ace, with his brash drive to prove himself, and she wasn't Sabo, with his wit, and she didn't have the snark of either of them. Still, though, she was larger than life in her own way.
Luffy smiled brighter than the sun, and her heart stretched to make enough room for anyone, and she only ever saw things for how they were. She had saved Ace when he needed her, and she never let Sabo live thinking he didn't have a family, and if there was anyone who could become the Pirate King, Shanks thought it would be her. Hopefully, Roger would be proud of the person he bet the future on.
Or: Luffy's now the older sibling, and a few things change because of it
