Summary
Chat Noir figure out Flairmidable’s identity and prevents the theft of the miraculous. But without this catastrophic defeat, Ladybug and Chat Noir’s relationship continued to evolve following the same trajectory than in season 4 until it became too much, and Adrien gave up his miraculous.
One fateful day, with a clever plan, Shadow Moth win. As a civilian, all Adrien could do was manage to steal the peacock miraculous and create a sentimonster to take him months into the past to prevent all this.

“Someone’s in a good mood,” Nino commented when Adrien slid into the seat next to him in the student lounge during the mutual gap they both had between their university classes.
Adrien turned his grin towards his best friend. “Yeah,” he agreed.
Nino grinned back. “I haven’t seen you in this good of a mood in months. Were you hanging with your mystery lady?”
The question caught Adrien completely off guard. Was Nino seriously comparing his feelings for Carapace with his feelings for Ladybug?
Sure, Carapace had become one of his favorite people. Adrien currently coveted every moment spent in Carapace’s company. He walked away from talking to him for hours feeling like he was floating on a cloud. And he was anticipating their next patrol like a giddy child waiting for Christmas morning.
