Summary
After Derek, everything went to hell. Who knew the Hale family was what kept the Nemeton stable? Who knew the Nemeton was just as desperate as I was?
There was a civil war. A war between code-abiding hunters and those that hated everything supernatural. Well, the psychopaths won and their victory brought Armageddon. No one knew the damage they did until Derek died. The Nemeton became unstable and the magic started draining. When the hunters realized that the dying Nemeton weakened the supernatural they began tracking those down too. In less than two years there was no magic left in the world. Funnily enough, magic was just as important to humans as it was to the supernatural.
