Legosi extends a finger toward the ladybug perched on the colorful arrangement. “You are right,” he feels like the biggest idiot, he even put on his nicest shirt to see Louis. “I’ll head back home,” he murmurs trying to muster a smile.

Maybe he deserved it a little for calling her a dog, and to this day Taigen hesitates to use that terrible word in every context.
