She only stared, wide eyed and shocked- rooted to the spot as nothing leaves her open mouth. Her nails dug deep into her palms, the only thing keeping her here. For once, Kotone is silent- no witty one liners or smooth whispers of reassurance.
Just… quiet.
Its wrong- like the swirling anger that drives everyone away from her. Her first friend in so long was finally seeing her- the bitter, cruel side. The truth laid bared for her to see. Undeniable- unforgiveable.
Even then, her gaze is soft- Kotone looked fond of her, a glint in her eyes. Something she can’t quite place- something she will never understand."
