Summary
“You can keep going. If you, ah, if you want.” Jayce interrupts, and Viktor freezes.
What?
“It can help. With the pain, right? I've—I've read about it.” Jayce whispers. Viktor tries to take a deep breath, but fails miserably.
“I-huh?” Viktor isn't quite sure what to say, because he's not at all sure what they're talking about in the first place.
“You're saying... What are you saying?” Viktor asks, and Jayce shrugs a little, way too nonchalant.
“You can keep going. Get yourself off. I don't—I don't mind.” He whispers, and Viktor can't believe his ears.
He must be dreaming. Yeah, that must be it. Because there's no other explanation for Jayce offering him to—to—
But that's when Jayce's hand slips lower on Viktor's back and presses down, gentle but firm. Viktor hisses as the movement forces his swollen folds to rub against Jayce's thigh once again.
OR
Viktor and Jayce are locked in the lab and have to spend the night. Viktor is in a lot of pain. Jayce finds several ways to relieve it and changes their relationship forever.

Summary
When the final batch of eggs floated to the bottom, Viktor counted that he’d only produced half a clutch compared to last year. Barely a pitiable two hundred. He scooped them up into his hands, careful not to disturb the slippery mucus that held them together. His tiny pearls, so precious and fragile in the cradle of his grey webbing.
In the ancestral grounds, the waters would have been still. He would have fanned his little ones to keep them aerated until they hatched. A mate would have sung to them, passing along their songs and letting their guppies know that they were loved, even when they were oceans apart. When they finally hatched, the guppies would be able to sing to their siblings to find each other when the current swept them away.
But out here, the deep would claim them.
