Summary
Sometimes Louis thought his former companion had only ever been a lump of clay, amorphous, interchangeable, just filling a void. That Louis just missed the feeling of a body in bed next to him, the knowledge that there was someone he could rely on to handle things when he was tired. That it could have been anyone.
But in other moments, he was forced to admit that he missed Armand.

“I am sorry,” Armand leaned into placation. He always looked so young like that, wet-eyed and frustrated. You could almost forget what he was. “Daniel, I apologize, please let's forget I said—”
“No no no, let’s not ‘let’s forget,’ let’s dig in on this!” Daniel focused in on those big wet eyes, those beautiful liar’s eyes that always made him want to curl around Armand, burrow into him, eat away at him, destroy him from the inside and never leave again. What a hypocritical asshole.
