This was the original version of Chapter 3 that I wasn't very happy with and rewrote at the suggestion of SilviaNorton. I wasn't too happy with the sudden murder and it somewhat clashed with the other chapters. I'm posting this here for posterity's sake.

Kipperlilly scoffs, trying to come across with an air of casualty. "I just don't trust her, that's all,"
"Oh sure, you completely gloss over the other five but the hot lesbian is the one you're for some reason still intently watching,"

It's laying in the dark at night trying to sleep, but being too scared to close your eyes. Scared that you're going to see things. That you're going to see Porter, or Jace, or the corrupted Ankarna, and when you look down there will be that all too familiar red glow coming from your chest. That you'll feel that burning sensation coming from it that's almost normal now, almost comforting. One of the only constants in your life, one of the only things you could hold onto in those long months of waiting.
But then you look down, and there's nothing in your chest. And everything's quiet. And you don't know if that makes you feel better or worse.

Now Willow, Gus, Hunter, and a particularly distraught Amity must find Camila Noceda and hope that she is willing and able to help them survive while they search for a way back -- and in the meantime, they can fill her in on what her daughter has been doing in the Demon Realm.
Or, the one where I cut Luz out of the plot of "Thanks to Them" to explore the Luz-shaped hole left behind as best I can.
