    Ochako’s breath caught. Of course she had, but surely it was a bit taboo to bring that up with him, right? Well, he was the one who said it… “Yeah… They’re your relatives, right?”

    “Yeah. And my quirk is like theirs.” Deku’s hands gripped his sheets, knuckles turning white. “My quirk is evil, Uraraka. I’m defying my nature by even trying to be a hero.”

    Izuku is born with a quirk that seems to lead him down the path of villainy, but he's determined to be a hero. He wants to be the nice guy that everyone looks up to, but it's hard to be nice when you're a dragon.

    Fortunately, he isn't alone, and with the help of his friends and mentors, he might just make it through alright.

    Author's Note: A bit of context - This story is a mashup of the comics and the MCU and doesn’t exclusively take place in the MCU universe. It’s more of an alternative universe where I just throw a lot of the comic lore at the MCU. I'm nostalgic on everything related to Spider-Man. I grew up reading the 1960-1970s comics before moving on to the 1980s-2010s comics when I was a teen. I care a lot about these characters and I hope that my writing reflects that and does them justice.
    This story also is heavily influenced by the comics and the 'Spectacular Spider-Man' cartoon. If you are familiar with these, you should catch on to a lot of easter eggs that I have dropped along the way! Let me know in the comments how many you are able to find and point out for each chapter.
