Nico sighed. The kind of sigh Jason did when the rest of Camp wasn’t taking their duties seriously. The sigh of someone who knows what they’re talking about.
Jason stopped in front of him. He studied Nico’s face.
“I’ll let you stay,” Jason said.
Nico hummed. “Boy, thanks.”
“Conditionally.”Nico tilted his head at him expectantly. Jason felt compelled to go on.
“You will be my eyes and ears. I’ve seen how to melt into the shadows. I know you can teleport at will.” Jason said, watching the sass melt off Nico as he realized just how much he had been observed.

Summary
He doesn’t find Rain’s car.
Instead, in the spot where it probably was, he finds Rain.
Slumped in a heap on the ground.
“Rain?!” Sky rushes over and drops down to his knees so fast he thinks he might have given himself bruises, but he doesn’t care.
There’s blood on Rain’s face and his hands look rough and bruised. His breathing is hard and he’s moaning a little, and Sky manages to register that that means he is still breathing. Whether or not he’s conscious is a different question.
“Rain?” Sky repeats. He reaches out to touch Rain, but stalls when he doesn’t know where might be okay to touch.
Rain’s eyes flutter open halfway.
“…Ky…” he manages to wheeze out, then his eyelids fall shut again.

Or, Rain gets attacked.
