Summary
Thrud grew older year by year with a hope of it getting better. The promises would work for a few days or months at the most, but they all fell apart at some point. Finally, one of her uncles pushed her past the limit, not knowing that her family would lose her forever.
Off on her own, Thrud does the unthinkable and finds a way into Midgard. The broken family she meets there gives her a second chance, a clean slate to try to be normal again.

Sonic breathes in the steam from the water, wrapped in a gentle coat of warmth.
“Chaos, you’re beautiful,” he hums, paws settling in her chest fur. Shadow only responds with a tiny smile tugging at her mouth, her own paws moving from Sonic’s cheeks to his back, claws combing through the mess of blue spine quills. Something flickers in his eyes.
