When Columbina told her she couldn’t fall asleep outside of Silvermoon Hall without her special pillows, Lumine expected some complicated fetch quest, or maybe having to put in a special order with an eccentric Nod Krai craftsman who would most likely make them do a rain dance first and then charge double the mora and take over a week to deliver the product.
She did not anticipate going to see Sandrone.
And she most definitely did not anticipate the pleading look in Columbina’s eyes, and the way her lower lip juts out, and the way she wraps her arms around Sandrone’s waist, tightly enough that you’d guess she was particularly distressed at the thought of someone taking her away, and how she looks down and says, “Pretty please, Sandrone? Just one more time?”
