Summary
“Even if we make it through all of that—even if we get fucking married—that number only goes up to fifty. Think about that, man. All that time and effort, and it’s a coin flip whether we end up like your parents.”
“Divorced?” Chris sputters. “Josh, we’ve been together less than two months!”
--
It’s Josh’s first official dinner with Chris’s parents, and he can’t help but imagine the worst.

… but you can’t take the Mountain out of the man.
Ten years after the games’ events, Mike has moved to the mountain to keep the spirits at bay and to make sure no one else dies there in the ways he has seen.
Simultaneously, he is the cool uncle for Jess and Matt's kids, if only it was that easy.
Because sometimes things can't go the way you want them to, and sometimes a solution is just a painful compromise. No one ever said family would be easy. Especially when you don’t know where you stand in that family.

Summary
Reo was always the best at everything he did. He knew that, everyone else knew it too. School? First of the class. Music concert? Best singer AND best musician. Languages? He was fluent in several of them. Sports? Just give him a week and he would be a pro. He grew up used to be the best. Most of the time it also came without too much effort, he was just that good. He took pride in it, of course, but he also made sure to not flex against the others, he could see they were trying hard and he admired their dedication. However, he had to admit that he got used to it, it was natural for him to look at whatever competition's results and see his name at the top of the list.
