By mid-March, the teachers had developed a system.
It didn't help.
Because Conrad and Belly were not subtle.
Not even a little.
They were crooked ties and swollen lips. They were Belly laughing into Conrad’s shoulder while he looked at her like the rest of the world had disappeared. They were Conrad pulling her back for one more kiss when literally every adult in the building had already told them to stop.
