Description:

600 years ago, a man settled a village on an island rumored to be filled with magic and supernatural beasts. The island was dubbed Ashford, and he helped his wife raise their son on the island until he suddenly walked out of the house one night and didn't return for six long years.

Now, 599 years later, in the year 2019, a derelict house stands among a sea of abandoned houses. Rumors of seven monsters living inside it fill the town. Everyone knows to be wary of those with red eyes and sharp fangs.

How can one know these monsters aren't victims from another perspective? Just looking for ways to fill the voids that their lives have become. They want to be left alone, they want to love, they want to forget, they want to be free, they want to know why. But does anyone know why? Why these things had to happen to them, why they were born only to be killed, why they couldn't be loved by Him.

What does He know that He never told anyone? Will anyone ever uncover His secrets? Or will He return to tell them Himself? Has He been right here this whole time?

His children, and all their companions, will just have to live until the day it can all be let out.

Notes:

This series is listed in chronological order and as new fics are posted, the order may change. However, you can start anywhere you like.

Sometimes I may go back and change certain small details from previous fics to keep ever evolving characterization accurate.

The first fic written, Alarm, is now non-canon to this AU and will likely be rewritten. For now please consider it a prototype or beta version of the universe, as, at its core, it is really more of an inspiration for the AU than anything else nowadays.

It is also possible I may rewrite Monster before finishing it but I haven't properly decided yet.

As this is an AU, certain things, such as characterization, may differ due to the different experiences the characters have gone through compared to canon. Also, not all canon events will be adapted 1:1. Pieces of canon may still be intact while others may serve as inspiration to create a different idea used in the AU. Plus canon has not ended, so my ideal ending for this AU obviously won't match whatever ending we get in canon.
