Summary
“What kind of person gets off on blood?” said Yuji, and Megumi licked his lips as he stared at him intently.
“Perhaps the kind that’s not a person.”
“No, you’re not,” Yuji agreed. “You’re like… a figment of my imagination. You’re so fucking beautiful, nothing that looks like you could ever be real.”
Megumi just stared at him with those blank eyes.
“I am real,” he said. “I’m only dead.”
Yuji is self-destructive in more ways than one. Megumi searches for men specifically like Yuji to feed from and then kill. He never expected Yuji to enjoy it so much, nor did he expect himself to cling to Yuji’s presence like a lifeline.

Summary
“Do I have to drink other people’s blood?” Yuji asked as he tugged on Megumi’s arm, gazing up at him with a frown on his face. “I only want yours…”
Megumi looked down at Yuji and felt his lips curving up against his own will. Sometimes, he could have sworn there was still a flicker of Yuji’s old eye color. Dark red mottled with little specks of brown hiding between those long lashes. He wasn’t quite sure if he’d ever get used to how devastatingly beautiful his Yuji was.
“And I suppose you’d still want me to only feed from you, is that right?” Megumi said.
Yuji rolled his eyes, smushed his face into Megumi’s shoulder. “Yes,” he mumbled. “Obviously.”
Megumi introduces Yuji to the world of being a vampire. Similarly, he learns what it’s like to have a fledgling for the first time.
