Warren watched Scott get smaller and smaller as he trudged over the snowbank back towards the ship with his dad. Off to go on fucking space adventures for who knows how long. Barely back together ten days and already the team was down a man again, and this time it’d take a lot more than a quick blackbird ride or portal to bridge the distance. They’d just have to trust that once Cyke had his fill of the stars that his dad would bring him back to them.
Fuck it, now or never.

Love is confusing. Scott didn’t pretend to understand it in the slightest, but last week it got a lot more confusing. Before last week he’d have said love for him began and ended with Jean, who he was either falling in love with or already head over heels for. In the future they get married. They don’t get a happy ending though.
Before last week he would have said that Warren was someone he loved like a brother even if they wanted the same girl. But that was before Warren kissed him on his last night on Earth.
