Prince Dimande did not realize time travel was possible until the Little Rabbit did it to try and save her parents. But now that he knew it was possible, he would use it to his advantage.
With Wiseman's help, they come up with a plan to create a much better future for themselves.
They would not use time travel to go after the Little Rabbit. Why would they when they can use it to get the bigger and better prize; Neo Queen Serenity herself or in this case Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom.
Basically, Prince Dimande and Wiseman spit on canon and then told canon to go fuck itself.
