The fingers still on her scalp as Hymn looks at her.
“Yeah?”

“Of course, always.”
“How…” Jen looks away, trying to find the right words. “Do you know how it’s going to end? For you?”
“Oh.” Hymn puts her phone down. Takes a second to think it through. “I do, actually,” she answers with a softer voice than Jen would expect from her. “I can tell you, if you want.” »They both made it out of the hospital. Ten years later, Jen is still in remission. Hymn isn't.
