  Summary

  Hirose starts to notice something about Nakamura that doesn’t quite make sense. No matter how many times he fumbles a conversation or ends up in an awkward situation, he never stops trying to stay close to him. It’s something Hirose can’t ignore.

  Curiosity turns into a question he eventually asks out loud: why him?

  Nakamura doesn’t answer. Not at first. And when he finally does, it shifts something between them. What should have made things simpler only complicates them, leaving Hirose unsure of how to respond to Nakamura's feelings and Nakamura caught in an uncertainty that’s harder to navigate than a rejection would be.
