‘’I’m going.’’
Katsuki knew he would, and he wouldn’t stop him. Fumikage had apparently made up his mind about traveling West, one last desperate attempt to find any other way to break Katsuki’s curse other than to take his life.
‘’Fine.’’
He could hear Fumikage sigh behind him.
‘’It’s not too late to give me any information that could help me in my search. A name. A physical description. Anything.’’
But he refused to give him anything, as he genuinely hoped Fumikage wouldn’t find him, that as soon as he left, he would finally come to his senses and leave him alone. If he wouldn’t kill him, the least he could do was finally go away. Katsuki would just have to wait until another mage traveled this path and up his mountain. Another mage more willing to do what Fumikage couldn’t.
‘’I’ll be back, I promise.’’
He wanted to be vile, to tell him not to bother. But Fumikage’s voice was so genuine, something within him just couldn’t bring him to do it. So he simply listened as the other man left him.
