The night was rainy, and 007n7 hugged his sleeping son, C00lkidd, who was probably dreaming about dinosaurs, if the boy's murmurs were any guide.
007n7 still hadn't gotten used to his new role as a figurehead. He used to be an exploiter and now he was a single father, but he wasn't bothered by having a peaceful life with an adorable son. He was watching his little one sleep peacefully until he heard a knock on the door and immediately became alert. Was it an admin? He quickly made a clone and prepared the c00gui to teleport himself and his son away just in case it was an administrator.
The clone moved toward the door, opening it slightly to see who it was, still maintaining the security chain. In front of him stood two people: a brunette and a dark blue-haired man, almost as dark as night, both pale. What was most striking were the spawn symbols on their shirts and the fact that the brunette was injured, both hugging each other for warmth.
"Were you looking for something?" He tried to answer normally, as neither of them looked like administrators.
The brunette was the first to speak, his voice heavy with pain, probably from the wound. "Sorry to bother you, sir, but we need temporary shelter, even if it's just for tonight. We promise to keep quiet, and the ground will do."
007n7, from his clone, looked the two of them up and down. They didn't look good to each other, and it felt wrong to leave them in the rain. He had committed many cruelties in the past, and a little kindness was needed. Perhaps with that, he could redeem his actions a little. He quickly looked at the blue-haired person's bloody dagger "It's not necessary. I can offer you the couch and some blankets, but weapons out."
The blue-haired person shuddered and looked at their companion. "Azure... we can't-" They said weakly, but the brunette, apparently called Azure, sighed. "It's necessary."
They gave their dagger. With that, the 007n7 clone removed the security chain from the door and let both people in. "You can stay on the couch. I'll bring you blankets, a first aid kit to treat any wounds, and food. Please don't make too much noise." The clone went to the kitchen to prepare something, while the real 007n7 managed to detach himself from C00kidd and grabbed some blankets, along with a first aid kit he had stored in a drawer near the bed. He went downstairs. living room where he found his guests, who looked at each other in confusion as to why the same person they saw had suddenly gone to the kitchen down the stairs, but no one commented.
"Here, here's enough to heal you," he said to Azure as he handed him the first-aid kit, watching as the blue-haired person helped their companion heal. Once the wound was disinfected and bandaged, they both gave 007n7 a grateful smile.
"Thank you very much, sir. We appreciate your hospitality. Spa-" Azure stopped in his sentence, as if regretting what he was going to say, though 007n7 decided to ignore it; it wasn't any of his business for now.
"No need to be so formal. I'm not that old. Besides, you can call me 007n7 without any problem." He gave both people a friendly smile after saying that.
Both people stared at 007n7 before Azure smiled back. "Very well, 007n7. I'm Azure and this is Two Time. And once again, thank you for your hospitality."
007n7 nodded as he repeated the names in his head to remember them. He saw Two Time, who was clinging to Azure's shoulder like a lifeline, which made him wonder what kind of Their relationship, but he let it go and went to the kitchen to serve the food. It was just some instant soup, but it was the only thing he could find in his fridge at that moment. "I should go grocery shopping once it's light..."
He grabbed two plates and two forks for each guest, pouring the still-hot soup into the two bowls. It tasted like chicken, with some vegetables floating among the noodles. It wasn't the best food, but it was better than an empty stomach.
He grabbed both plates and went to the living room where his two guests were, leaving the plates on the table in front of the armchair. "I know you might be sleepy, but please eat first before going to sleep." 007n7 showed a little concern. How long had they been wandering from house to house looking for a place to sleep in the rain? They must be hungry, and a little warm food won't hurt.
"Thank you so much for the food. We're truly honored by your kindness." The brunette's words were filled with gratitude, which only reinforced how helpless they both were, provoking a feeling of pity and sadness in 007n7.
"You're welcome. I couldn't leave them out in the rain." He couldn't help but remember the day C00lkidd stood at his door on a rainy night, with only a blanket covering him. The man tried to push those thoughts aside and focused on his guests, waiting for them to finish eating before washing the plates and cutlery.
Once they were both done eating, 007n7 grabbed the bowls and forks, leaving Azure and Two Time in the living room, only watching out of the corner of his eye as the two snuggled up on the couch and hugged each other, covering themselves with the blankets left for them.
007n7 cleaned everything, from the pot where he had boiled the soup to the plates and cutlery, tidying everything before returning to the living room. He watched as the two guests slept and decided to turn off the living room light before going back upstairs to lie down in bed. He saw that his son was still sleeping peacefully and smiled at how cute he was before getting into bed and hugging him, closing his eyes to finally rest.
