Today was surprisingly calm, no explosions, no disturbing class and definitely no more zombie resurrections, but even without all the chaos, Pugsley was fine, somehow, just tired
Eugene actually asked him after class if hes okay because he didn't zap anyone mid lesson
“Yeah, just really tired” he answered, yawning softly
“I told you, you need to sleep better”
“I will, promise! See you after class” his next class was starting in about 2 minutes and he has already been late enough, not that he cared much, but if he didnt pass this class he was absolutely fucked. So he quickly kissed his boyfriend on the cheek and sped to his next class
It wasn't even pas curfew yet, so Pugsley already wanting to sleep (and cuddle) was something new (well not the cuddle part, he always wants that)
He definitely needed a shower though, and to wash his hair, so off he went
He was done in about 10 minutes, giving that he didn't really care how his hair came out because he was gonna slick it back for some reason, he just put on some 3-in-1 shampoo and got it over with
Eugene was laying on his bed, reading a book about nature or something
Pugsley came out of the bathroom, his hair still damp, water drops landing on his black pjs shirt
His boyfriend looked at him for a second before returning to his book
‘Wait a damn second’ he thought
He looked again
And again
Pugsley was so confused, the look on his face clearly indicated that
“YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR??” the boy finally exclaimed
“Oh, yeah, i guess?’ he shrugged, getting ready to just throw himself on the bed and go to damn sleep
“What the hell possesses you to slick it back everyday then?” his book was now closed and thrown on the side
“I don't know, never really wore it curly so”
“And that ends today! I know you're tired and i’m sorry, but you’re not going to sleep without letting me style your hair” Eugene said, already getting up and going into the bathroom to get whatever he needed
Pugsley did not expect a full damn basket
‘Well there goes my sleep’ he thought, not that he minded much, he gets to spend more time with his favourite person
Eugene sat on the edge of the bed and threw a throw pillow on the floor in front of him, motioning Pugsley to sit down
So he did
“Are you really going to use all that?” he asked as he leaned forward so Eugene could put a towel on his lap
“Most of it, yeah”
He sighed and just accepted his fate, he didn't want to make his boyfriend sad so
He leaned back a bit, making himself comfortable between the boy’s knees
Eugene started patting his hair with the towel softly, so it would stop dripping so much
He started to brush his hair, knotty
“How is it so tangled if you literally just got out of the shower?”
“Oh, I don't brush it”
“WHAT?!”
After he somehow got rid of all the knots, he picked up the first product
“Whats that?” Pugsley asked, trying his best to stay awake
“Leave-in conditioner” he answered as he sprayed some in hand and evenly distributed it in his hair with his fingers
‘For someone who uses 3-in-1 shampoo and doesn't care about his hair, its surprisingly soft and nice’ he thought
‘Hmm this is really nice, how the hell am i supposed to stay awake’ Pugsley thinks
“Whats that?” Pugsley yawned as he saw Eugene picking up the next product
“Curl cream”
He nodded softly in return
‘This better look good, i could be sleeping and hugging this pretty human instead’ he thinks as he rubs his eyes
“Whats-” he doesn't get to finish
“Mousse”
“Wait i know this one, its for volume, right?” he asked, fidgeting with the edge of his shirt and rocking back and forth slightly
“yeah , smartie, stay still please” Eugene said as he softly pulled him back in place by his hair
“How much more do you have?”
“Gel and diffuse” he said as he showed him the gel in his hand, meaning he’s almost done
Pugsley just yawned again and continued to play with his shirt
After Eugene diffused his hair, he thought he was about to melt, but he’s somehow still awake and hasn't melted one bit
“Can i go to sleep now?” he asked as he was about to get up
“Wait let me put in some oil” and he got pushed back down in place
“Now you're finally free” Eugene said after separating some curls
“Yay!!” he said tiredly
“Look at me”
Pugsley get up, surprised he even has the strength to do that from how tired he is and turned to look at his boyfriend
“Lawd dayum”
‘Damn this boy is mesmerising i think i just fell in love again’ eugene thinks
“You okay?”
“I think i just fell in love again”
Pugsley laughs softly at that, making eugene laugh too and leans in for a quick kiss
“I better not see that slick back ever again”
“I am not doing all this whenever i wash my hair”
“No problem, ill do it for you, but please throw out that damn 3-in-1 shampoo” eugene said as he went back into the bathroom to put his stuff back
“Yes sir!” Pugsley answered, finally being able to lay on the bed
As soon as Eugene got back in bed he was wrapped around him, his arms holding him tightly around his waist and the boy’s head resting on his chest
“You are not allowed to touch my masterpiece? Understood? At least leave them in for a day or two” he said, trying to sound intimidating
Pugsley just murmured something in agreement and was fast asleep
Eugene smiled softly and placed a soft kiss on his head
Before he knew it, he was fast asleep too
