Work Text:

Walking across the tiled floors of Babyls, Kalego and Shichirou walk together, Shichirou, walking his close ally to his class while passionately talking about whatever subject has him transfixed.

“I just wish I could get closer to them without scaring them” he whined cartoonishly, yet still feeling disheartened “Maybe I should try a new haircut again..” he thought aloud. A firm disapproval is promptly heard from his ally. “Yeah I guess you’re right about that” he said sheepishly remembering the last time he tried a new cut, safe to say Kalego got alot pictures.

The two's conversation came to a halt, when they spotted a very distressed looking Lied, who seemed to be doing some sort of (ritual?) outside of Kalego’s class. When Lied spotted them, any confidence he had, was now vanished, he promptly tried to run away. (obviously failing due to the two rank Cheths(8) approaching.)

“What are you loitering around my class for, brat?” Kalego asked, with an especially irked expression painting his face. The boy Lied, seeing the fearsome look on his teachers face quickly excused himself, claiming he was “just stretching”

Balam glanced at Kalego who was clearly *not* happy with this answer, Replied to the boy, “Lying is bad y’know!” he said, looking at him expectantly, Lied looked at the gargoyle and sighed. He might as well get this over with.. “I’m.. having love troubles!!” He exclaimed boldly, but no matter how much boldness or whatever nuance he may have had in that sentence, it would not have saved Kalego from promptly turning into a statue.

Though this statue wouldn’t have lasted long because of his ally, sparkling beside him. I mean, can you blame him? This would be his chance. His chance to finally gain the trust of even one student, Balam would help this kid with his love troubles. However, Kalego, who knows Balam well enough to know the expression on his ally’s face, would only ever cause trouble, had to step in to help Lied, but not before giving Shichirou a glare.

Kalego had already made the decision to, reluctantly help the boy, but every thought built up made him want to let Balam help himself, but no, his reputation as a teacher was on the line! He wouldn't be the powerful sensei he was if he wasn't able to help a student, would he?..
..Atleast that's what he told himself.

“Damn kids..” he muttered “Sure I can.. Help you..” the words felt like sandpaper on his teeth, it was as if devi itself were mocking him “let’s get out of this hallway though..” Despite his resolve to help the troublesome kid he would not let anyone find out about this. They swiftly entered the empty classroom, while Kalego was not able to shake off Shichirou, he was able to take the lead with the conversation. For better or for worse…

They each took a seat in the empty royal one classroom, following a short silence which was swiftly cut by Kalego “What the devi do you need help with brat!?” Kalego was not suited for this nature of conversation, but Lied didn't seem to mind, especially with his mind preoccupied with what Kalego could only describe as garbage.

There was a short pause before Lied explained “I'm worried I'm not a loyal devotee for Nee-san!!” Lied explained, nearly making Kalego do a spit take, Balam was grateful he wore a mask to cover his expression, which he was sure was not good for this situation.

Kalego swore that he would end that damn headmaster unless he got a raise soon. “What makes you say that” his voice was dry and tired, as if he aged ten years from the conversation, he would have to check for grey hairs later, but for now he needed to wrap this conversation up as soon as possible.

“Something.. happened a while back” he started, not knowing how much of his “akudol double life” he should share with his homeroom teacher of all people, but he needed to get this advice, if not for himself then for Nee-san!! “I’m totes worried im gay!!” he said much louder than necessary.

Kalego was dumbfounded, to say the least but to put the conversation to rest he has to answer. “And why do you think this?” He questioned. Lied faltered at the question, sure it was a valid question, a good question even, but did he really want to tell his teacher about the time he crossdressed infront of thousands of devils, while making two male akudols inlove with him? Short answer-he did not. “Does it reeallyy matter sir?” He squeaked, safe to say, Kalego’s patience was running thin. He cursed in his head before answering, “well, do you still like Elizebetta?” Lied looked up at the mention of his crush's name, had he been obvious?(He really had) But he wasn't caught in thought for long before answering passionately, “YES OF COURSE!!” he practically radiated sparkles when answering. “Then, does this matter still bother you?” Kalego questioned “no.. I guess not.. THANK YOU SIR!!” Lied enthusiastically replied while making his way to his seat in the royal one, when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder “well, Lied since you seem to have things figured out, how about you write a page essay on your findings, hm?” Kalego had to give Lied some sort of task for the irritation he caused, and now Kalego doubted any student would ever ask him for advice anymore..

Little did he know…
