Ciel wakes up by Sebastian calling for him and helping him get up, as usual. But he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen and he felt even more snappy than usual. He also felt like he was laying in a puddle and then he let out a blood-curdling scream when Sebastian lifted the bedsheets. There was a puddle of blood beneath him...
But why? What happened? Did .. that .. happen again?
He was going to ask Sebastian, but the guilt was written all over the butler's face.
"I'm sorry I let it happen..." the demon said as he was fidgeting. "I thought I kept the intruders away, but it seems that some managed to-..."
Before he could finish his apology, the young earl snapped at him. "I don't care for your excuses, Sebastian!" Despite his attempt to maintain his cold façade, is voice cracked. He couldn't believe someone managed to get their hands on him again, and also get away with it... his butler had ONE BLOODY JOB and yet failed so miserably that the child is actually bleeding.
"Sebastian... there is still time to make this right. Find whoever is behind this and KILL HIM WITH YOUR BARE HANDS, I ORDER-.."
Before he could finish his order, however, the other servants entered the room.
"Young master, are you okay? We heard you screaming and yelling and we needed to che-..." Finny was clarifying, but then he saw the puddle. "HUH!?!?"
The Bard and Mey-Rin seemed equally shocked... and Tanaka was just there.
ho ho ho
Sebastian then went ahead and explained "something terrible happened to the young lord and he needs to rest, I'm going to call a docto-..."
But before he finished Mey-Rin interrupted "..Sebastian, are you sure that the young master isn't just on his period, yes?"
"...wait what?" Sebastian looked at her. "...his what?"
Bard then responded "...wait, isn't that the thing that girls have every once a month?"
"it is, yes." The maid responded.
Ciel perked up as he heard that. Feeling a sense of relief finding out it's normal, even though it makes him further wish he wasn't born the way he was. But he supposed that he'd prefer that over having been assaulted in his sleep.
Sebastian seemed relieved as well.
"Well then, I suppose that means I did not fail the young master after all.." now the butler can sleep peacefully at night... if the demon does sleep, that is.
"Okay wait... but... isn't the young master a boy?" Finny then asked.
"I'm pretty sure he is, yes." Mey-Rin responded.
Although he didn't understand any of this, the demon knew he had to respond, especially with how he saw his young lord react to this question. "well boys get those too." he responded quickly.
Bard tilted his head to the side as he lit up a cigarette. "Mr. Sebastian, are you serious?" He asked as he put the butt of the cigarette in his mouth "I'm a man, 36, and I still haven't gotten one."
"Well maybe it'll just take a while longer for you... also don't smoke in the young master's room. He's already throwing a coughing fit because of you." Sebastian responded defensively.
Bard sighed as he dimmed the cigarette guiltily. How could he forget about the young earl's condition? But he did think that what Sebastian said did make some sense, even though it sounded a bit crazy.
Finny and Mey-Rin seemed to buy it too, and Tanaka.... well, he was just there.
They just all nodded to each other and then left the room.
"Sebastian, is it true that boys also get periods?" Ciel then asked.
The butler then grinned
"no."
