One-sided Debate

Summary:

As Felix’s eyes clear somewhat, Chan leans down and licks his scent gland again. He forces a hand around the back of his neck and pinches the skin—just like he used to when he scruffed Felix as a child. Both touches have his son gasping for air and his hips shooting up.

“You like it.”

“You need this.”

“You’ve always wanted it.”

Notes:

Welcome to Heartstrings, a Chanlix Valentine's Event by Safeira!

This fic was based on the prompt "debate turned love." Admittedly, this prompt has been twisted a little bit, but I'd like you to keep it in mind while reading.

Please read the tags several times. While it's not always a very dark fic, some of the topics and themes are extremely dark. Both Chan and Felix are adults in this story, though they don't operate under the same idea of consent. I do NOT condone this behavior in real life, this is a work of fiction!

For Chan, this is a love story fitting for Valentine's.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Chan groans as he pinches his nose bridge. A continuous current of annoyance and discomfort courses through his body, but he’s doing his utmost to cover it up with what he hopes looks like fatherly worry.

He steals a glance at his son. Felix, tucked into the corner of the couch, sits with his knees close to his chest. The long arms on his oversized hoodie cover most of his hands. The hem of it is frayed from picking at it for the last few years.

Felix is anxious, he’s always been—ever since he was a young child. But lately, those nervous ticks and glances have gotten worse, and Chan feels a greater urge to protect his little pup—even though Felix is far from young now.

“Look, I know you don’t like the idea, but I—”

Felix bites down on his lips as Chan waves his hand dismissively. “I’ve lived without you for three years now, I don’t mind that you live alone again,” Chan says, interrupting his son. He leans forward and props his elbows on his lower thigh. “I simply don’t approve of your potential living situation. I would much prefer you to stay here for a while and then—”

Chan’s words are cut off by Felix throwing his hands up in the air. “I’ll be living with Changbin and Jeongin for a few months tops, then I’ll find a place of my own. Fuck—Dad, they’re my friends, we hang out all the time.”

“That’s not the same as living with them,” Chan says through gritted teeth. He stares at Felix, taking in his flushed appearance. He knows there are tears on the verge of spilling, but fuelled by some sort of extra courage, Felix seems to be holding it in pretty well—though Chan wouldn’t mind if he saw some tears, convincing Felix in that broken down state is far easier.

“Why are you so against it?” Felix asks, tone hushed and unsure. “I thought you liked them?”

“I do like them,” Chan answers immediately, righteous and proud. “Changbin has always been a good friend of yours, I still remember that baby crush you had on him when you—”

“I was eleven!”

Chan grins, a brief moment of ease, ”See? A baby crush. Well, and the Yang family is an important pillar in our community, no wonder Jeongin grew up to be such a good man.”

Felix’s sock-clad feet tap against the soft couch cushion, creating small dents Chan hopes he can still see when Felix ultimately decides he’s annoyed enough to storm out. He watches eagerly how those barely visible fingers of his twist and turn when Felix pulls on them—a nervous habit Chan would give anything to calm down by wrapping his own hands around his son’s. Alas, he doesn’t do so—for there’s a sentence that lingers on Felix’s lips, one that Chan doesn’t want to force out prematurely.

He prefers it when Felix comes to his own conclusions.

As long as they match Chan’s opinion, of course.

“You like them as my friends,” Felix mumbles. “But not as potential roommates?”

“I think you should stay here with me,” Chan insists instead of answering his question, eyeing Felix’s furrowed brows. “I don’t think it’s wise for you to live with them. You know how that type can be… Aggressive and irritable—possessive even.”

The little pout on Felix’s lips is so cute that Chan struggles not to reach for his face and run his thumb over the protruding bottom lip. He wonders briefly how soft they would feel. It’s been a long time since he felt those lips on his skin.

“It’s because Changbin and Jeongin are alphas, right?”

To that, Chan shrugs, willing his smirk away by pretending to clear his throat. The two of them being alphas is definitely part of the reason. Chan isn’t overly fond of having his son living with them, especially not when Felix is a pretty sensitive omega—emotionally but also when it comes to his instincts.

However, it’s not the only reason. Chan knows full well that both Changbin and Jeongin are proper people who carry no obvious ill-intent, but besides the ingrained knowledge that no alpha can be trusted, Chan simply wants to keep his son to himself.

Is that too much to ask?

“Your silence says it all,” Felix says, his eyes narrow and his jaw clenched. Chan thinks he looks terribly cute, like a baby tiger trying to bare its teeth for the first time.

“What are you going to do when they go into rut?”

Felix’s eyes flare wide, turning glassier by the second. He tears his gaze away from Chan and bites down on his lip, removing that cute pout entirely. There’s an uneasy shift of his body, one which Chan preemptively decides to ignore, fearful of the urge to make Felix sit still—chained.

“I’ll go somewhere else…” Felix mumbles.

“I want you here then,” Chan says, reaching out to run his hand over the top of Felix’s knee—not quite able to reach his face. It’s meant as a soothing motion, but it also proves to quell a looming hunger. “It’s safer. You don’t know what they’ll do when they’re like that. Ruts can be horrible for an alpha. It’s easy to lose one’s mind in that period, and—”

“You’ve always seemed in control,” Felix says,  peering up from where he has his face hidden behind his knees.

Control.

Chan prides himself on being in control. Sure, he might not have the upperhand on all of his routines especially with sleep often evading him. However, he’s on top of everything else. He’s made sure to build a name for himself, reaching such levels of relative fame that he can now sit back and enjoy passive income and easy to handle opportunities.

When it comes to his family, Chan has always been in control. Not that it was difficult with Felix, considering he was always a pretty easy child growing up. They’ve had their differences, but Chan has always made sure that whatever he sees fit is the outcome of it all.

It’s for Felix’s best, after all.

However, he also recognizes that he needs to unveil some of his vulnerable sides as well. Especially when Felix looks at him with those round, brown eyes, seeking his advice. Oh, how it warms Chan’s heart.

“Not always,” Chan answers, running a hand through his hair. “Don’t you remember that you often spent time over at your aunt’s house?”

Felix purses his lips. “I do…”

“Well, that was partly because I didn’t feel like I had my rut all figured out, but also,” Chan smirks and Felix’s cheeks grow red, “because I wanted to spend it with Minho—”

“Dad!” Felix yells, chucking the nearest pillow from the couch at Chan’s face.

His son’s embarrassment isn’t sincere past his disdain at imagining Chan naked. They always joke like this, and Chan knows full well that Felix isn’t one to shy away from anything sexual.

As proven by his browser history.

But the joke puts an end to the conversation, and although Chan is aware that Felix won’t heed his wish to remain living in the house, at least he has planted a seed—one that will hopefully grow into something so unsure and doubtful that Felix has no other choice but to come crawling back to him.

{}

Felix moves out two weeks later, and Chan feels so on edge that even when he hugs his son one last time before he returns to his house alone, it doesn’t even feel good. In fact, it feels so bad that when the evening comes he’s so pent up with frustration that he seeks one of the bars he used to frequent a few years prior (when Felix moved to his campus apartment).

It’s in the bar that he indulges in everything he normally foregoes—in favor of keeping up his controlled appearance in front of his son and everyone else.

“Come here,” he murmurs and hooks his hand around the cute man that has found his way into his secluded booth. On the opposite side of the table sits a woman, equally as pretty as the man now in his lap—he beckons her, watching eagerly when her dress slides up the side of her thigh, revealing honeyed skin.

“Why don’t you two put on a little performance for me, and I’ll make sure to make your evening worthwhile?”

His eager prey both nod and the woman comes crawling closer. She places a chaste kiss on Chan's hand before she slowly makes her way up to the man’s face, connecting their lips in an immediately heated kiss. There’s nothing romantic or tender about any of this, but that’s exactly what Chan’s seeking—an outlet for his spent body.

He fucks them both in a nearby hotel until the sun starts to peek through the horizon. When he’s done, he leaves them tucked in, whispering a wilted promise of calling them up again.

The trek home isn’t far, but the windy roads up to his house seem to drag on forever—especially when he starts to see cars pull out of garages and children running to school, already dangerously late for the impending bell.

He types his code into the pad on the door and stumbles through it when it opens. Although not particularly hungover, he’s more than simply tired—he’s exhausted, both mentally and physically. Thus, he seeks out the one place in the entire house that has always calmed him.

Felix’s room.

There’s nothing left of the childhood room he once painted a horrid blue with spray-painted Marvel characters in every corner. Felix has long since removed his old belongings and repainted—leaving the room in a calming light blue. Chan doesn’t mind it at all. He doesn’t seek Felix’s room because he longs for the times when his son was younger. Felix is an adult now, has been for a few years. He simply misses him and the thought of having left him behind with two alphas undoubtedly sends Chan into a spiral—soothed only by the remnants of Felix’s scent, a hint of green apple under thick candy coating.

{}

“Yeah, everything’s fine here,” Chan hears Felix say on the other end of the line.

“Have you eaten enough?” Chan asks, his foot tapping against the wooden floor under him. He looks up at the clock hanging on the wall, stifling a groan when he sees he’s about to be late for a meeting with an up-and-coming producer. “Breakfast, lunch, dinn—”

“Daaad,” Felix whines on the other side, and Chan can’t help but feel a smile tug at the corner of his lips.

“I’m just worried about you,” Chan says calmly instead of cooing at his son.

“We have a cooking schedule, I’m in charge of dinner tonight. Dad—” Felix clicks his tongue in brief annoyance. “I’ve lived on my own before, and I know both Changbin and Jeongin super well. We spent all night playing games and having fun, it’s like I’m on vacation. At least until I get a job.”

The last part of Felix’s sentence is broken off by Chan’s urge to worry about his son’s sleeping schedule. He didn’t inherit whatever sleep demon that inhabits Chan, but Felix has been prone to late nights in front of the computer—something which Chan always scolded him for, though he often found himself peeking through the door to watch whatever it was Felix was busy with.

He might be a hypocrite, but his son doesn’t need to know that.

Chan circles the conversation back, his foot now still and determined. “You don’t need to get a job, you know. I can take care of your bills…”

“I’m not going to live off an allowance given by you,” Felix immediately huffs, though Chan’s fairly certain Felix wouldn’t mind having more time for his passions. “And I need the experience anyway. It’s difficult to get a proper job without having a few years on my resume.”

To that, Chan can only huff in agreement. “Still,” he says, envisioning Felix's wide grin. “If it doesn’t pay that well, I can always help you out. I worked hard all my life, I don’t mind providing you with an easier one.”

Chan hears Felix rearrange himself on the other side. He probably pulls his legs up under his chin like he always does, his long black locks framing his face perfectly as he pouts.

“I appreciate that a lot,” Felix murmurs, his tone low and dark—running down Chan’s spine perfectly.

“I love you a lot, Lix. I just want you to be happy, and I know I can be a little bit overbearing, but it’s only because I care so much about you.”

“I know…”

“You’re such a good boy,” Chan smiles. His foot starts tapping again and the hold on his phone tightens. “Make sure to send a picture of that delicious food you’re going to cook for them tonight.”

Felix is about to answer when someone enters the room. Chan narrows his eyes and listens to the voices in the background. They do sound like Changbin and Jeongin, but he can’t say for sure. However, before he’s able to confirm who it is, Felix has mumbled a goodbye and hung up—his laugh and a cut off greeting is what Chan’s left with.

No, that’s not the only thing he’s left with.

His entire body grows stiff and tense. He keeps his phone to his ear, wanting—hoping—Felix will call him back up and say he loves him back. It never happens, and when Chan admits defeat, he decides to send a quick email to the producer he was supposed to meet to reschedule for another day.

Life without Felix is already horrible enough, and now that he hasn’t gotten to see or talk to him properly for almost two weeks, Chan feels as if he’s going crazy. He tries to tell himself that it’s okay and that it’s normal to miss his son, but even after several breathing exercises and a huge glass of pineapple juice, he’s still on edge.

Thus, he’s not surprised when he finds himself dressed in a large coat and on the street—briskly walking toward the bar he always goes to when he’s in need of distraction.

{}

Felix is beautiful. He shines brighter than anyone Chan has ever met. His skin is radiant, his smile infectious, and his freckles so gorgeous Chan has spent years counting them. It’s not weird to admit this or even be aware of his son’s beauty. After all, Chan is merely proud of his offspring.

Though it does irk him that Felix’s looks has alphas and betas of all kinds drooling stupidly as they talk to him.

Just like now, in the café they are in. Chan watches Felix politely dismiss a rather tall man with long hair. Even his rejection seems to make the other alpha’s heart flutter, for he still scribbles what Chan presumes to be his number down on a napkin and leaves it on the table. Felix—the gentle soul that he is—smiles brightly and wishes the man well.

If that alpha had approached while Chan was at the table, he would have made sure to vet him first or even told him to turn around and try his luck with another willing omega. But Chan isn’t at Felix’s table, so he can’t do any of that. Instead, he pinches his nose bridge and leans back in his chair, eyes set on his son—sitting at a table on the opposite side of the café

They didn’t arrive together nor does Felix know that Chan is in the same room as him. Sure, Chan won’t mind it if Felix does notice him. How could he? If his son comes over he’ll smile brightly and claim a much-needed hug. And if Felix asks why Chan is there, he’ll simply say that he’s eating lunch out for once.

Felix doesn’t need to know that Chan spent an egregious amount looking at his stories on Instagram, searching up every place that he tagged.

He didn’t follow him everywhere. No, that would be too much. Too invasive. Instead, he chose one where he could sit far away and simply admire his son—and make sure nothing happened to him.

Look, it could be worse. He’s simply making sure that everything is fine.

A whole hour passes where Felix mainly focuses on his phone. The scribbled on napkin is left untouched, much to Chan’s delight. It’s only when Felix is done with his first drink—certainly not something caffeinated, judging by the color—that a familiar face shows up.

“Jeongin!” Felix exclaims and shoots up from his chair. “You made it!”

Chan runs his tongue over his front teeth, sinking down into his chair. He pulls up his phone and opens the note app. He knows alphas. He knows how they behave. And if Jeongin crosses out five out of ten things on his “Keep Felix Safe” list, then he’ll intervene.

  • Hug lasts for longer than five seconds

Chan grits his teeth and bores his eyes into Jeongin. Long, freshly dyed hair tickles the top of his shoulders, and a smile adores his face. Chan can’t deny that he looks good. He looks well-kempt and fresh, as if he cares for his outward appearance.

However, it might simply be a facade.

  • Sit down next to Felix and smile for longer than three seconds

“One, two, fuck— three…” He taps the checkmark with an increasingly souring expression, foot now tapping against the linoleum floor. The person next to him—an old woman with a half-eaten cupcake—glares at him, and Chan feels the urge to swear louder next time Jeongin messes up.

The next checkmark doesn’t come for a while, but much to Chan’s dismay, it’s Felix who instigates Jeongin’s behavior. Felix lifts his phone up, and Jeongin giggles, moving closer with a wide grin before resting his head on Felix’s shoulder.

  • Touch my son inappropriately

Three out of five. Jeongin’s on thin ice and Chan’s patience is running low. He tips the rest of his orange juice into his mouth and scowls at both his phone and the alpha that has his hands on Felix’s body.

He sees it.

The fingers that linger. The slight press into Felix’s soft shoulders and biceps. It sends that jealous monster inside of him into a frenzy, and Chan immediately needs to rip that invasive touch off his son. He knew it. Jeongin—Changbin, too, most likely—is slowly worming his way into Felix’s mind, whispering words of comfort and promise.

“I’ll take care of you, Hyung…”

“Sit with me, Lix-ah, you’ll feel so much better.”

“Let alpha do it. You only need to sit still and take what I give you.”

Chan hates every second of it. He hates that he sees his son in such a compromised position. He hates that Jeongin’s smile goes from ear to ear while his eyes shine with darkness. But maybe most of all, Chan hates that he didn’t convince Felix to remain at home during their discussion a few weeks ago.

A debate turned betrayal.

Thus, Chan unlocks his phone again—a testament to how long he’s been staring at his son—and writes down four more points to his list.

  • Sit too close.
  • Touch biceps.
  • Smile too much.
  • Talk too much.

Sure, all of those bullet points are easy to cross off. However, there’s nuance to this entire situation—Jeongin is doing this on purpose, and Chan sees straight through him. He needs to fix this. There’s no way he can allow Felix to be taken advantage of in this way.

The chair screeches loudly as Chan drives it back over the linoleum floor. He stands up and plasters a surprised look on his face. When he’s only a few paces from his son, he raises his hand and waves.

“Felix? I thought that was you!”

Bright eyes and a smile far better than the one Jeongin received, forms on Felix’s face. “Dad, I didn’t know you were in this area of town!”

Courteous and always righteous, Chan accepts Jeongin’s hand when he reaches out to greet him. A putrid scent of peppermint fills Chan’s nose, and for a moment, he worries that his son might slowly be poisoned.

“I wanted to try a new place,” Chan smiles, taking his son’s hand in his. He runs his thumb over Felix’s soft skin, admiring his dainty fingers and palm. “I only had their matcha latte, but it wasn’t my favorite.”

“We should come here together again then,” Felix says excitedly, and Chan’s jealous monster gleams. “I will buy you my favorite drink.”

You will buy me one?” Chan smirks, eyeing Jeongin who has gone still. “No, no, I’m your Father I will treat you.” And protect you from any danger.

He watches Felix’s face go from flushed to pouting—his little lips so pink and cute that Chan wants nothing more than to touch them. With a brief glance at Jeongin, he spots his phone. The screen is lit and the familiar design of Instagram’s interface beams at Chan.

“I would sit down with you guys,” Chan starts, his hand lingering on the chair opposite his son. “However, I do have a meeting to attend in an hour and I don’t trust Seoul’s traffic in the slightest…”

Felix—his pride and joy—makes a sound of disappointment. The way his shoulders move up under his ears in a brief shrug warms Chan’s heart, and he’s almost about to ask if Felix doesn’t want to come with him to the office—but then he remembers that there isn’t a meeting at all, and his plan is to continue watching his son from a distance.

“We’re actually about to leave as well,” Felix smiles. He points to a brown satchel at Jeongin’s side. When he does so, Jeongin opens the flap to reveal a camera. “I’m helping him out with some outfit pictures!”

“And I’m helping you out with those pictures for that dati—”

Jeongin’s words get cut off and Felix’s cheeks go bright red. “We might take a few pics for my Insta feed as well.”

Any type of worry, jealousy, and anger is forced down by Chan’s well-practiced smile. He leans back into his clueless father role and reaches out to run his hand through Felix’s hair. “I have no clue what a feed is,”  he says, shrugging, “but I’m sure you two will have a good time.”

Felix—bright-eyed and even redder than before—nods enthusiastically. He grabs Chan’s hand and squeezes it a few times before he gets up from his seat. Jeongin is quick to follow, seeming to be glued to Felix’s side at all times if given the opportunity.

“See you soon, Dad,” Felix says and goes in for a hug.

Chan wraps his hands around his son and brings him close, hands resting on the small of his back. A rush of fresh apples and candied sugar envelops him as he quickly allows himself to rub his nose against Felix’s half-covered scent gland. He meets no resistance when he does it. Instead, Chan almost convinces himself Felix leans into his touch.

As they part ways, Chan makes sure to give Jeongin a proper glare and a whispered warning that he needs to make sure his son is okay. The young alpha is quick to nod—wanting nothing more than to please Chan—a sure sign of the intentions Jeongin has hidden away behind a facade of smiles and dimples. However, as he watches the two of them walk out, he’s pleased to see that Jeongin doesn’t slip his hand around Felix’s waist, taking on a respectable distance instead.

They do take pictures together. Chan sees them walk down to the Han River and pose against various different backgrounds. However, when the sun starts to go down and a flock of people wanting to catch the sunset fills the area, Chan loses sight of Felix and Jeongin—even their scents disappear in the pool of people.

It’s that very night that Chan goes home and opens up Instagram. He watches all of Felix’s stories on repeat before he scrolls down his feed. Among the pictures Felix has posted, Chan recognizes only half. The sight of his son holding a drink and laughing while being propped up on a man’s lap that he doesn’t recognize infuriates him. And when he sees strangers’ hands around Felix’s waist, Chan seethes.

He contemplates for a long time. Minutes pass, and Chan feels his muscles strain with worry. Whenever he looks at the pictures of Felix with his friends, the need to have him closer only grows in intensity. With his knuckles white from holding the phone and bile lingering at the back of his throat, Chan makes the conscious choice to press “make new account.”

{}

Two days pass, and Chan finds himself staring at his phone more than usual. He double-taps random pictures, stories, and even follows a few new people. Why? Well, to make it seem like his new account is trustworthy and real, of course.

Username: ChromeCh
Bio: Seoul bound 🇰🇷 Adventurer ⛷️☀️

Chan even makes sure to post a few pictures himself: a landscape photo of a beach in Australia, one of a dog he saw on the street three years ago, and a picture of a ramen bowl he ate while on a work trip to Japan. The pictures are all obscure enough to not lead back to him, but real enough that Felix hopefully won’t be suspicious when ChromeCh follows his account.

His thumb lingers over the follow button, but as a notification pops up that Felix has posted yet another story—yes, Chan has turned on every notification for user yong.lixx—he musters up the courage to actually follow him.

A rush of relief courses through Chan’s body and he sinks further down the couch. His heart hammers in his chest—not because he did something wrong, but rather because an immediate notification pops up:

User yong.lixx has followed you.

Chan doesn’t do anything about it. He simply stares at the story his son just posted. It’s a quick selfie, one where the focus is on the blue sky behind Felix. At least, that’s what Chan should be looking at. Instead, he counts the freckles on Felix’s cheek.

“Seventeen,” he murmurs to himself and runs a thumb over the screen. Chan’s careful not to leave behind a like on his son’s profile, but he can’t help but wonder if Felix is sitting on the other side of the screen wondering if he should like one of Chan’s pictures.

{}

Stalking…. Chan wouldn’t quite go as far as calling it that. He keeps a close eye on his son because he wants to protect him. If that means following Felix all through the city, then so be it—Chan’s prepared for it all.

Well, not quite everything.

He’s not prepared for plump lips and eyes so narrow it sends a chill down Chan’s spine.

“What are you doing here?” Felix asks, his brows furrowed. He taps a pointed finger against Chan’s chest. It’s their first shared touch in about a month—one which Chan ends up treasuring far more than he probably should have.

There’s a myriad of people around them. Yet, Chan finds himself zeroing in on his son. It’s as if whenever Felix is in his vicinity and his fresh scent fills the air, Chan feels at ease. Even when Felix looks at him with those brown eyes of his—full of suspicion—Chan doesn’t find it in him to care.

“Buying groceries?”

A loud scoff is followed up by an eyeroll and Felix steps closer. He grabs the basket Chan picked up on his way into the store and flicks through the items.

“Tuna, cranberry juice… candles?” Felix says; unamused. “Eight chicken breasts and a can of beans. Dad…”

“Yes, Lix?” Chan smiles and selfishly reaches out to push a stray lock of hair away from his forehead. The hair feels soft under his fingertips, and even though he’d love to spend hours caressing it he lets it go in favor of not dismissing his son.

He doesn’t want Felix to think he’s not being serious.

“I haven’t seen you eat most of these before,” Felix sighs, tilting his head so the strand of hair falls again. Chan, of course, reaches out and fixes it again. “Why do you have—”

Chan reaches for his basket and holds it to the side before he decides to grab Felix’s as well—dumping the items his son has picked up into his own. “I’m paying,” Chan smiles. He ignores the groan that ensues and instead purses his lips and wraps a hand around him.

However, it’s when he starts his poor excuse for being in the same shop as his son that Felix interrupts him and Chan’s world crumbles.

“Did you follow me because you heard the news?”

Chan stills. “News? Did something—”

“I thought Changbin was joking when he said he would tell you. I never thought that he would do it,” Felix rambles. He’s taken a step away from Chan and is now fidgeting with the row of bagged pasta, crinkling the plastic bags between his fingers.

It takes everything Chan has to stay calm. He masks his worry behind a fond smile, reaching out for his son—an act of reassurance, both for himself and his vulnerable offspring. “Changbin hasn’t told me anything, Lix-ah,” Chan murmurs. “But what is going on? You’re making me worried…”

“Worried?” Felix says, a smile tugging at his lips.

A smile.

Chan tightens his grip.

“Worried about your opinion, yes,” Felix continues, his tone light and almost airy. “But I’m also excited!”

Chan’s throat constricts. “Excited?”

Felix steps closer now, forcing Chan to let go of him, only because he doesn’t want his mind to wander if his hand falls to Felix’s waist. They stare at each other, and once more, the world seems to only consist of the two of them.

“I met someone, Dad. A nice guy at the end of the hallway in our building. He recently moved here from Japan, but he speaks Korean and English as well. His name is Daichi, and we’ve talked every day for the past—”

The world around Chan crumbles. Every food item stacked on pretty shelves tumbles to the ground. The walls close in and the floor under him gives out. For as Felix speaks of this Daichi, Chan feels like he’s at the precipice of a deadly cliff.

Every word that comes out of his son’s mouth, with the exception of alpha, boyfriend, and “I’m really happy,” all blur together in a horrid mixture of pure hatred. There’s no doubt about it. Chan hates this man within a minute of learning that he exists.

A broken congratulation leaves Chan’s chest, and the smile that forms on Felix’s face is a mixture of doubt but also relief. At least, it’s enough for them both to move on with the conversation. Chan manages to ask a few questions about the potential suitor, but after learning that they’ve been officially dating for two whole weeks, he zones out again.

Felix is his everything, his pride, and his joy. They’ve always been close and Chan has made sure that Felix has gotten everything he ever wanted. His only regret is that he didn’t spoil Felix endlessly as a child. If he had done that, then maybe his son wouldn’t be so eager to leave him behind—forgotten and uncared for.

Thus, Chan wants nothing more than to take care of his son now. It doesn’t matter that Felix is older and has his own life. He shouldn’t need to go through any hardships. Especially since Chan has no qualms about devoting himself to him. For what’s better than seeing that sunshine-y smile every morning? Hearing that beautiful laugh coated with Felix’s low timbre?

Sure, these thoughts might not be normal. Chan’s pretty certain that other parents don’t mind seeing their kids move out and create their own lives. However, he’s always known that his desire has teetered on the brink of madness. But he’s always had it under control.

Under wraps.

Even when Felix was young and had sleepovers with friends, Chan only camped in the street outside of their house. He never did anything else. Or when Felix was sixteen and he got his first boyfriend, all Chan did was run a background check on the boy. It came back clean and so he didn’t do anything to stop their relationship.

Well, planting a few ideas here and there certainly wasn’t the main reason why they broke up and Felix spent weeks at Chan’s side.

These things, these minor things that he does, it’s all for Felix. He doesn’t mean any harm nor does he want to take away every sense of freedom from his son. All he wants is for Felix to be safe and sound and for him to know who he should turn to whenever he needs anything.

However, Felix’s confession—of his newfound love—is undoubtedly a catalyst for what’s to come. Because when Chan lies on his couch that very same evening and opens Instagram to like a few of Felix’s pictures, he’s aware that the wickedness he’s had a good grasp on is weakening.

It’s difficult to regain that control, especially when it feels so good to see a notification pop up.

Three weeks pass before Chan is able to get through to Felix. He knows that it’s imperative that he bides his time because if he comes off as too overbearing and protective, then Felix might pull away—like he did when he moved out to his dorm at university. However, Chan must admit that it hasn’t been easy.

The first week was rather okay; Felix didn’t really insinuate that he was dating on any social media or Chan himself. However, as the second week rolled in, so did the pictures.

Takigawa, Daichi.

29-year-old man from Tokyo, Jpan. Likes swimming, running, and traveling. He works in a bank as an advisor and he has a dog from a previous relationship. He graduated from university with delay due to a year spent living in Thailand. Daichi’s favorite foods are katsu curry and bibimbap. He likes blue, but he likes it even more after dating Felix—as seen by his two new hoodies in that signature baby blue Felix always enjoys.

Daichi is nice.

Too nice.

Chan fucking hates him.

Still, he’s spent hours trying to convince Felix to let him meet his new boyfriend. The information he has on him through social media isn’t exactly enough. After all, it’s easy to fake one’s presence on Instagram or any other app for that matter.

As seen by ChromeCh and yong.lixx’s growing relationship. They’ve never talked through direct messages, but both aren’t shy when it comes to leaving likes or even commenting on a post.

Chan loves the attention. He likes that Felix likes his pictures within five minutes of posting, and he treasures that one comment where Felix left behind a beautiful blue heart.

Daichi has nothing on ChromeCh. He’s nothing but an insignificant alpha out to reap the benefits of a beautiful and docile omega like Felix. All alphas are the same, they always want one thing, and unfortunately, Felix doesn’t seem to understand this—another reason as to why Chan needs to protect his son.

“They’re late,” Chan grumbles. He plays with the napkin on the table, nervously rubbing the cotton between his fingertips. It crumples into small pieces that he quickly flings off the table—uncaring of whether he makes a mess or not.

They’ve agreed to meet up at a restaurant close to Felix’s apartment. It’s a rather large establishment with several full tables and a bustling noise level. It’s not his preference—nor is it Felix’s—but apparently Daichi loves the food here. Of course, Felix has found himself a man who is eager to control where they go. It’s all up to Daichi, isn’t it? Felix is simply expected to smile and nod.

If Felix was living at home, Chan wouldn’t have hesitated to bring his son wherever he wanted. All Chan wants is to make his son happy.

“Dad!”

An angel’s voice penetrates the large restaurant, and Chan shoots up from his seat, his lips forming a wide grin. Felix bows respectfully to the waiters, who allow him to walk straight up to the table Chan has claimed for them. It is a table near the window, Felix’s favorite.

Long black hair tickles Chan’s nose as his son hugs him. Felix makes sure to duck his head slightly so that his nose can run over Chan’s scent gland. It’s a brief gesture, but it’s one they both like to do, so when Chan does the same—inhaling a fresh apple scent—he locks his eyes with Daichi.

Had they lived in the olden days, where a display of protectiveness of their own cubs wasn’t uncommon, Chan would have bared his teeth.

“Dad,” Felix giggles, wriggling free from Chan’s too-tight hold. “I should introduce you…”

You don’t need to. “Yeah, of course,” Chan murmurs, allowing Felix to take a single step backward. He watches his son reach for Daichi with a fond smile. His small fingers curl around Daichi’s arm.

“Dad, this is my boyfriend,” Felix smiles warmly. It’s a beautiful sight, and for a split second, Chan wonders if this new boyfriend might not be so bad after all. But then he remembers that Daichi most likely is like everyone else—out to use his son for their own pleasure.

Chan—the model parent that he is—reaches out his hand and greets Daichi with a firm shake. “I’m Felix’s father, but you may call me Chan.” Daichi’s grip is feeble and loose, causing Chan to swallow a displeased sound.

Not only is Daichi a dangerous alpha for omegas, but he’s also a useless alpha in the presence of another.

Daichi needs to go.

They sit down at the table, and much to Chan’s dismay, Felix and Daichi sit next to each other, but at least, he manages to place his feet on either side of Felix’s—causing his son to stifle a laugh.

“It’s nice to meet you, Daichi,” Chan says after they’ve all gotten a chance to look at the menu. Daichi offers him the opportunity to order for them all, explaining that he sees the value in letting the eldest decide. Although Chan doesn’t quite disagree with it, he also finds it horrendously conservative, especially seen in the eyes of both Chan and Felix, who lean into their Australian culture quite a lot.

However, with Felix’s nod of approval, Chan makes sure to order them an array of dishes. He doesn’t skimp on the prize, and when he sees Daichi’s eyes grow large and worried about the bill, Chan simply orders more. The little monster within begs him to let Daichi pay for his own food, but Chan knows better than to embarrass his son’s boyfriend so openly. He’ll pay for it all, and he’ll be rewarded with a warm hug from his most treasured possession.

“It’s nice to meet you too,” Daichi answers, his smile wide and polite.

Chan sneers inwardly at the sight, keeping his hands under the table where he digs his nails into his palm.

“I haven’t met that many of Felix’s boyfriends yet, I’m surprised you wanted to meet me so fast,” Chan says.

Daichi’s brows furrow slightly. “Well, I was under the impression that you were the one who wanted to organize this—”

“Why don’t you tell me a little bit about yourself?”

Chan leans forward, head tilted slightly. He reaches for the napkin again, but this time, he manages to keep his hand still. It might have something to do with the gentle brush against his leg. Felix’s knees press playfully into his, and Chan's eyes a small smile lingering at the corner of his lips—though his gaze is predominantly set on Daichi, whose sour expression still remains.

“Well,” Daichi starts, he places his hand on Felix’s back, earning him a hum of approval from Felix.

And Chan’s hatred only grows.

“I’m the youngest of three siblings. I grew up in Tokyo, but really, it was on the edge of the city, so I don’t know if you can actually call me a—”

Chan’s stomach flutters as his son’s shoe taps against his own. Chan repeats the motion and watches brown eyes go wide before a content expression forms on his son’s face. Felix missed him… He missed him a lot.

As Daichi’s words turn into nothing more than a hum of words, almost resembling that of boring background music, Chan and Felix enter their own world.

“And what did you study?” Chan manages to ask as Daichi’s monologue comes to an end. It seems to prompt the man to continue. His voice goes up an octave as he talks about his bachelor's and master’s degrees, both in the field of economics.

Chan bites back a yawn at the dreadful topic, one that Felix must see the remnants of because he covers his mouth with his palm before dutifully nudging Chan’s in the shin.

“Pay attention,” Felix mouths and tilts his head in Daichi’s direction.

Although Chan nods, he doesn’t pay attention to Felix’s boyfriend. Instead, he watches his son lean back in the chair, the neckline of his sweater dropping low enough for Chan to see the start of his collarbone. Fresh apple doesn’t fill his nose, but it’s easy to imagine it, and even when the waiter comes with drinks and side dishes, he still feels enveloped by an orchard of happiness.

“To my son,” Chan smiles and raises his glass for a toast. “And Daichi,” he adds when Felix clears his throat.

“So you’re a music producer,” Daichi says, his voice frailer than anticipated.

“He is!”

Chan lowers his glass, watching the foam on his beer move from side to side. The condensation on the outside of his glass coats his fingers and Chan reaches for his napkin. When he does so, he meets Felix’s expectant gaze—eyes full of excitement but also pride.

“I am,” Chan nods. “I’ve been doing it for a few years now, but lately, I’ve taken a step back to focus on managing the business.”

“So you own a company?” Daichi asks, too eager and too interested—Chan bites back his grunt.

He takes another sip of his drink, urging the other two to do as well. “I do. It’s not a large company but I have a set of employees and some lucrative deals.”

“And would you want to expand?”

“Expand?” Chan says, eyebrows furrowing. “I’m pretty content with the amount of work I have now and the size of the company. It’s not like I—”

Felix hums, inching closer to his lover. “Dad used to overwork himself. There was a time when I barely saw him. But I think he feels guilty, so he stepped down.”

There’s a confused expression on Daichi’s face. He looks at Felix’s content and warm look—gaze set on his father. Then he huffs and rolls his shoulders, almost as if he’s warming up for a fight that’s never going to happen.

“So you’re missing out on further developing your business because of Felix?”

Even though Chan wants to applaud Daichi for seeing how much he loves his son, he instead nods calmly. “Yeah, I’ve gotten to a place in my life where I feel comfortable, and I can spend whatever money I earn from music on my son and—”

“That’s ludicrous,” Daichi huffs. “You’re young. You can still do so much more. Think of the capital you have for investing. I’m sure that you can buy shares in other companies and earn money through their revenue. Though, I wouldn’t want to spend that, re-investing is probably— I could teach you, you know? My expertise lies in…”

Chan’s hand is under the table, nails digging into Felix’s knee. “No,” he whispers and stares at his son. “That’s not going to happen.”

Daichi, who thinks Chan is responding to him, continues to spew about all sorts of possibilities, while Felix averts his gaze and sighs—his body already turned away from his boyfriend.

This is not about being controlling. This is what’s best for Felix, and this dry lump of a man won’t do him any good. Hell, Chan would let both Changbin and Jeongin claim his son any day over Daichi. That says a lot.

“Dad…” Felix whispers, uncertain and frail. Oh, how Chan wants to bring him close and hug the pain away.

“It’s okay,” Chan lies. The hand he had on his son’s knee is now soft and comforting. He rubs his thumb over rough jean fabric and makes sure to smile when a pout forms on Felix’s lips. “Oh, food is here,” Chan announces.

With food on the table and Daichi’s mouth stuffed full of kimchi jjigae, Chan seizes the opportunity to catch up to his son. They haven’t talked properly for four days and six hours, after all.

He learns that Felix’s attempt at finding another place to live isn’t going so well. It’s not that he wants to move out of Changbin and Jeongin’s apartment, it’s rather that he feels like he’s intruding. “And then there’s the fact that Jeongin’s about to go into ru—”

“Then you’ll spend a few days at my place,” Chan says, leaning forward to gently cup his son’s face.

“Oh, but you can stay at my place we can—”

As Chan’s about to decline the offer, he finds himself interrupted by Felix who shakes his head gently. “I’ve missed my dad, I think I’ll go there during Jeongin’s rut. Maybe I can come to you when Changbin goes into his?” The last part is said with such little confidence that even Daichi seems to pick up on it.

“Sure,” Daichi mumbles.

“Good boy,” Chan says, laughing when he sees his son puff out his cheek and reprimand him for the odd compliment. His flushed appearance is more than enough for Chan to get through the week without going crazy.

Once back home, he finds his favorite spot on the couch and pulls his phone out of his pocket. He reads and answers a message from Felix, thanking him for the delicious food and a promise that he’ll come over immediately when Jeongin starts to get agitated.

Felix truly is Chan’s treasure. He’s obedient and eager to please—a feat Chan loves only when it’s directed at him or other people fawn over his son from a distance. The only thing he hates is that the house is empty without his most prized possession. Chan wants nothing more than to spend lazy evenings on the couch watching B-rate romcoms and eating popcorn with Felix’s legs slung over his own. He’ll massage his dainty ankles and watch a beautiful blush form on his cheeks.

Thus, the plan to get Felix back home needs to intensify.

ChromeCh

I hope you don’t mind me popping up in your DM’s… I’ve followed you for a while now, and I really like your pictures (you’ve probably noticed because I tend to leave a like behind often)

But.. I just wanted to ask, are you seeing this person in this picture?

[screenshot.pmg]

Any sort of messaging through social media feels foreign and Chan debates whether to add a bunch of emojis or not. The idea of writing in all lower case makes his brain hurt and so he foregoes that too. If he gives off a vibe of being older, then so be it. Planting the first seed of distrust is imperative.

It takes a while before a message ticks in. Chan is now sitting at the table, a quickly-cooked meal in front of him, and a desire to share it with his son is lingering in his heart.

yong.lixx

oh hi

no, no no, i don’t mind at all!

i mean, we’ve talked here and there in the comments and

heheh

i also have liked your pictures

love the pics of the sea, they look so familiar!!

Chan’s pulse thuds. He grips his phone tight and watches the incoming messages like a hawk, feeling his chest constrict at how comfortable Felix is right off the bat. He doesn’t give the prospect of his son doing that to other people much thought—no, his greed is far too great for that.

yong.lixx

and yeah

i’m close with him

why?

ChromeCh

I feel a little bit awkward suddenly springing this on you, so I’d first like to apologize

yong.lixx

it’s okay haha

but i appreciate it

please tell me tho

i’m a little bit nervous now

Nervous? Oh, poor thing… Felix should be here with him, where it’s safe and calm.

ChromeCh

So this is going to sound a little bit crazy, but the world is so small!

I used to live in Japan for a few years. I lived in Tokyo but on the outskirts. Definitely a beautiful place but it was also very calm, and so it was very important to have a lot of friends. I first met a group of people there through University and later work, I’m a few years older than you I think hahah. But Daichi was one of the people I got to know, or rather, we were in the same friend group.

Daichi and I weren’t particularly close, but we definitely saw each other from time to time. We used to frequent clubs and bars in the area, and Daichi would often show up with his boyfriend, Aiki.

Aiki was head over heels with Daichi and the two of them were rarely seen apart…. Except the times when Daichi snuck away after pretending that he was too busy to hangout with Aiki.

Well…  and I know this is a lot of information but what I wanted to say is that whenever Daichi was away from Aiki, he sought other people. He didn’t do this once or twice, he did it often. And I know this is several years ago, but I just want you to know that he might not have changed.

You seem like such a sweet guy, and I don’t want you to go through what Aiki did. I hope Daichi has changed. I really do.

When a lioness lies in the tall grass waiting for the best opportunity to pounce on her prey, her heartbeat lowers and her breath turns almost inaudible. Chan feels like a lioness now. He sits hunched over his food, phone in his hand and his eyes wide, staring at the three dots from Felix, who takes his time to respond.

He doesn’t expect anything.

He doesn’t expect to be able to pounce on his prey right away.

Still, he’s enjoying the hunt.

yong.lixx

oh

i don’t really know what to say

thanks i guess?

i just

ChromeCh

Hey, I’m just giving you a heads up… Men, haha that’s us, can be quite terrible sometimes. I’m sorry if this is too much.

yong.lixx

no, no… it’s okay

i just am a bit shocked.

i

fuck… i had a bad feeling about him, you know? and someone else

in my life also had a bad feeling..,

ChromeCh

Do you have someone to lean on? I know we don’t know each other that well yet, but I can help out if you need anything.

yong.lixx

that’s so sweet of you

yeah yehea, i do have some friends i can talk to and hahah don’t laugh

but my dad is pretty good at these things too

but hey.. maybe i can text you? i dunno you seem nice

ah fuck i’m too naive

Chan grins and curls his toes. Some of his sock gets caught in a small crack on the floor but he tugs it free with ease—just like he does with Felix.

ChromeCh

You’re young

You can be naive

Wow, look at me, sending several texts at once

yong.lixx

hey! hey!

im not that young!!

how old are you anyway?

ChromeCh

Older than you, that’s for sure… but I like to think I’m still fun

yong.lixx

hehe

you seem fun

and really honest which i appreciate

also

ChromeCh

Yeah?

yong.lixx

i kind of like it that you’re older..,,,

fuck i’m being just as bad as daichi now

maybe i should talk to him

Chan ends up sending a supporting message before the conversation comes to a halt. He reads through the entire chat over and over again, loving how his stomach flutters. When he’s done analyzing each and every message, he hops over to Felix’s profile and makes sure to leave a comment on his most recent photo.

It’s one of the pictures Jeongin took of his son down at the Han river. Felix sits with his back to the camera, his long black hair cascading down his back. It looks softer than ever before and with it being illuminated by the sun peeking through cloudy skies, Chan can’t help but gently stroke the screen.

ChromeCh: Such a beautiful picture <3

Four days later, Chan’s woken up by knocking on the door. He hurries to get dressed—a pair of low-hanging sweatpants and a tank top—before he rushes down the stairs and peeks outside the window.

Lit only by the faint streetlights stands his son. Felix has his lower lip between his teeth and his eyes darting from side to side. He looks nervous and scared. Chan loves it.

“Lix,” he says when he opens the door and his arms are immediately filled with the scent of an apple orchard. “Are you okay?”

His son nods fervently, his nose rubbing into Chan’s loose top. Felix’s arms find themselves around his waist, and Chan takes the opportunity to hug him tighter. Only the faint mumblings of what happened find its way to Chan’s ears.

“He suddenly turned scary… Like he was angry at me but still wanted me…”

“Who?”

“Jeongin,” Felix whines. “It was like a switch turned. He went from just experiencing a few symptoms into suddenly feeling it all at once.”

“Lix-ah,” Chan says, running his hands through Felix’s surprisingly damp hair. “An alpha’s rut is difficult to deal with. Tthat’s why I said you needed to be careful. Did he do anything to you? Did he touch you? If he fucking laid a hand on you, I will—”

A smile.

Felix turns his head and looks up, smiling.

“He didn’t do anything, Dad,” Felix says and takes a step back—much to Chan’s dismay. “I’m safe with you, am I not?”

As if Spring has come knocking on his door, Chan’s chest blooms with pride. “Of course you are, Baby. You can stay here as long as you want to…”

“If it was up to you, I’d never leave,” Felix laughs, unabashed and entirely unaware of what those words do to Chan.

Chan places a hand on his son's back, sliding it lower than he perhaps ought to. “You know me too well,” he chuckles and guides them in.

It’s a joy to see his son walk into their home again. Felix has only managed to pack a small bag of his most important belongings. Not that it matters; Chan will make sure that his son’s omega is pleased when he drapes it in his own pine scent. Seeing his son wearing his oversized hoodies has always been something he adores.

“I didn’t prepare your room yet,” Chan says, his hands defeatedly at his side—a ruse he knows Felix will fall for. “I didn’t think Jeongin’s rut would come this quickly, and I—” he says before yawning dramatically, “just sleep in my bed tonight; I’ll take the couch.”

Felix nods, his cute toes digging into the floor as he wriggles his foot. “It’s okay,” he says, averting his eyes.

“Good,” Chan smiles, hand once more carding through damp locks.

“No, I mean….”

There’s not much to be said when Felix grabs Chan’s hand and guides him up the stairs. True possessiveness courses through Chan’s entire body and his alpha nearly howls at the implication of it all.

Once in the room, Felix drops his bag on the side of the bed and smiles weakly. “Just going to brush my teeth and then I’ll be back. You can just sleep, I’m sure you need to wake up early and—”

“Ah, no… I have the day off tomorrow.”

“You do?” Felix says, his eyes wider now.

Chan nods, watching his son’s steps grow light as he walks out of the room.

For a moment, he wonders if he should lie down in the clothes he’s currently wearing, but even Felix would think it odd to see him practically fully dressed in bed. Thus, Chan pulls off his tank top and sits down on the bed before sliding under the sheets.

He’s nervous.

The lights remain off when Felix comes trudging back into the room. His previous clothes are gone and instead he’s dressed in light blue pj’s. They’re flowy but not to the point that Chan can’t see the outline of his body when Felix closes the door behind him.

“You awake?” Felix whispers.

“Yes,” Chan says, trying his best to sound sleepy.

The sheets rustle, and Chan’s bed suddenly seems fuller than it has in several years. Even when he’s out on his desire-driven adventures, he never takes his playthings back home. In a way, his house—his bed—is sacred and only meant for him and Felix to enjoy.

“It was a little bit scary…”

“Oh,” Chan answers immediately and turns so that he can grab Felix and urge him closer. A warm cheek lands on his bare chest, and Chan feels his heart race. One of Felix’s hands wraps around his upper arm, his blunt nails mindlessly scraping against his skin. “I’ve got you, Lix. You have nothing to worry about, those scary alphas won’t harm you.”

“I just… I just didn’t know that it was that intense. His scent was really overpowering, and I still feel like it clings to my skin,” Felix mumbles, his nose having already found its way to Chan’s scent gland.

“Jeongin’s not in his right mind now,” Chan says, his hand on Felix’s head, gently pushing him closer so that when he deposits a breeze of pine, his son can’t help but inhale it all. “I’m sure he wouldn’t hurt you on purpose, but I know how difficult ruts can be, and sometimes even a close friend might be hurt. That’s what I was trying to tell you before you—”

“Before I moved out,” Felix finishes. “ I know, I know… Look, I admit it. You won that argument—debate or whatever I should call it. You were right, Dad.”

You were right, Dad.

Pine trees grow from the solid ground and Chan can’t help but envelop his son in his arms. Even though Felix moves closer, it still feels like he isn’t close enough. A desire within Chan yearns for Felix to inch under his skin and settle there forever.

“I’m just worried about you, Lix,” he murmurs, feeling his son’s nose glide against his scent gland. “I know that you’re both fierce and strong—you take after me, after all. But I also know that this world isn’t always kind. That’s why I’m here to protect you.”

“Yeah,” Felix hums, his nails now digging into Chan’s biceps. “That’s why I—fuck… Dad, you smell so good.”

Saccharine apples suddenly coat the entire room, and as Felix continues his sudden plight to bathe in Chan’s scent, so does warm pine.

“Better than those other alphas, yeah?”

“Much better,” Felix hums, his leg thrown over Chan’s.

This position—no, everything about this is intimate. Sure, Chan’s scented his son before and Felix has done the same to him. But it’s been a while, and usually, it never lasted for longer than a few seconds. Now, Chan finds himself with his gorgeous omega glued to his side, practically mouthing at his neck—an eager pup wanting to drink his very essence.

He wants to make a joke about how it almost seems like Felix is in heat, but those words never go past the ludicrous flutter in his stomach. Thus, he settles for the next best thing and that is to lower his hand until it rests on the small of Felix’s back, the waistband of his pj’s serving as both a warning and welcoming entrance.

The inhales slowly turn to slow exhales. Chan lies entirely still as his son slowly falls asleep. His eyelashes blink slowly a few times before he finally gives up and settles for the darkness that is Morpheus’ gift.

Chan, however, is not granted such a gift. Instead, he grows stiff and in need of oxygen. Somehow, his thumb has found its way underneath a stretchy waistband. He didn’t mean for it to happen. It just did. In a way, it’s almost as if Felix made it happen when he adjusted slightly—moving closer, of course.

“Lix, you awake?”

No response.

Chan swallows hard.

The thoughts are there. The forbidden ones. The kind of ideas that he shunned a long time ago. He knows that he’s addicted to being in control—being the one who controls. But he doesn’t take advantage of other people like that… No, he simply guides them in the direction he wants them to go and then they figure out what’s best for them.

Though, their decision often pleases Chan to no end.

Especially in moments like these, where he has his son all docile and needy.

Felix is beautiful in every way. His hair, his skin, his smile, and his affectionate personality. Everything about him warms Chan’s heart. But one thing he’s always tried to look away from is how his son’s hips curve slightly… or how his lower lip is always kind of swollen from being abused by his bad habit of biting it.

His hand slides further down.

Chan hisses.

“Lix?” he says again, this time it’s barely a whisper.

When no response comes, Chan screws his eyes shut and groans. Supple skin rubs against his fingertips, and so does the downy hair he can feel coat his son’s skin. Felix is warm and welcoming, not even budging when Chan squeezes slightly. He doesn’t quite touch his bottom, but some of the flesh pools under his grip.

And so does the blood in his cock.

Where Felix has his leg thrown over Chan's, rests his slowly growing length. Chan reaches under the sheet with his other hand and weakly tries to push his problem away. However, it only causes Felix to groan in his sleep, moving closer than ever before.

Felix’s lips fall entirely flush with his scent gland. They rest against the small nodule, pressing into it slightly—almost as if he’s eager to purse his lips and suck.

Suck.

The image of those pretty lips spread thin around something far larger floods Chan’s mind and he has no choice but to grip his clothed cock and lower his other hand until he can fully grab Felix’s ass.

Pine seeps into every crack and crevice in the room—but also all over Felix’s body. The heavy scent only furthers Chan’s sudden desires. He imagines it coating every last part of his son in thick molasses—so prominent that if he were to walk on the street every alpha, beta, and omega would know who Felix belonged to.

It’s dangerous and wicked. Yet, Chan still wraps his hand around his cock and bites back a groan. He both hates it and loves it at the same time. It’s wrong. Touching his son like this while he indulges himself is nothing short of wicked. However, it’s also everything he’s ever wanted. Well, he hasn’t quite admitted that until now, but even thinking about how pretty his son would look with a nice mark on the side of his neck and his head in Chan’s lap—doe eyes looking up at him expectantly—is enough for Chan’s cock to twitch violently.

He comes all over his hand. It coats his fingertips and his palm—sticky and sweet.

Felix certainly seems to agree when Chan runs his index finger over his scent gland and Felix immediately presses his lips into the area.

Shame does come. It doesn’t arrive by kicking down the bedroom door to bring him to the police station for his awful actions. No, it slithers into the room like a devilish serpent. When Chan meets its eyes, he tilts his head and wonders if shame has always been such a puny emotion.

He doesn’t regret his actions.

At all.

After washing himself in the bathroom, Chan finds his way back into the bed. This time, he wraps his body around his son, his crotch to his pert little ass.

“Sleep well, Baby,” he murmurs and inhales the scent of fresh apples one last time.

yong.lixx

i hope i wasn’t too upfront last time we spoke

i don’t think before i speak

hahaha

i just..

feel drawn to you

you feel familiar

in a good way hehejei

Chan stares and stares. His phone acts as a beacon of his innermost desires, and every time the screen lights up, and a notification from his son ticks in, Chan’s cock hardens.

“What do you want for breakfast, Lix?” he asks, eyeing his son from the kitchen where he’s standing—erection pressed into the counter. Last night's memories play on repeat, and even though they produce a bodily reaction, Chan can’t help but indulge in them.

“Just some eggs,” Felix says from the couch where he his eyes are directed at his phone. “Rice? Or pancakes… No, maybe—”

Chan laughs. “It’s okay, Baby. You don’t need to think, I’ll take care of you.” Those last words earn him a quiet whimper from his son. Chan takes hold of the sound and makes sure it’s imprinted in his brain. However, before he goes to make breakfast he unlocks his phone and starts typing.

ChromeCh

You feel drawn to me after I told you bad news about your date? Boyfriend? Love interest? Not quite sure what he is to you, but…

yong.lixx

but…

heh

ChromeCh

But I’m glad he’s not so important.

I guess I feel a little bit drawn to you as well.

yong.lixx

yeah?? i

wow that’s ah fuck…

: )

ChromeCh

I assume that smiley face is a positive reaction hehehe

I really liked the picture you posted last… The one where you were sitting at the river. You looked very nice.

yong.lixx

just nice?

ChromeCh

Are you fishing for compliments now? So greedy.

Chan’s fingers grow stiff when he hears Felix let out another strained sound. He glances over his shoulder and sees the half-covered face of his son—the tips of his ears bright red.

yong.lixx

it’s not that i just

i just

ah

ChromeCh

If I’m honest, I like the pictures where I can see your face better. Your freckles are beautiful and so are your eyes.

I might be pushing the limits when I say this

But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a prettier omega

Felix kicks his feet into the edge of the couch repeatedly, and Chan grinds his cock into the kitchen counter.

ChromeCh

You are, right? An omega? I don’t want to…

yong.lixx

yeah i am,,,

fuck i kinda like that you can see it on me

ChromeCh

Yeah? Shit, that’s

I think I like that too.

Fuck, I bet you’re blushing right now

Chan places his phone down, the screen lit and unprotected. When he walks toward the fridge, his legs feel like jello. “Eggs, yeah?” he asks, earning only a strained response from his son, who’s now fully splayed out on the couch.

When he walks back, his heart skips a beat.

yeah… just a little bit

Black hair forms almost a halo over the pillow Felix has his head propped up on. One hand is covering half his face, hiding those beautiful lips Chan has had the honor to look at all morning.

A pink tint coats his cheeks as his brown eyes stare directly into the camera—innocent yet so seductive that Chan blurts out having to go to the toilet before he starts making them breakfast.

ChromeCh

Look at you

Such a pretty little omega

yong.lixx

do you like it?

ChromeCh

How can I not like the look of such a pretty little thing?

yong.lixx

fuck

don’t say that

i

ChromeCh

I bet you are, though.. Small and pretty

Daichi’s lucky….

Chan pushes his pants down, his hand already around his aching cock. The mirror right in front of him judges harshly as he awaits Felix’s response.

yong.lixx

you don’t need to care about him

i haven’t talked to him for two days

and now

im not in my apartment either

he’s far away

ChromeCh

So now you’re texting a complete stranger instead? One you haven’t even seen the face of.

Naughty.

yong.lixx

i odn’t know how

but you’re making me feel so insane

i like it

i like that i don’t know what you look like

The picture of his son is enough for Chan’s cock to throb violently. His hand slides up and down the shaft as he takes in the new selfie. Unlike the one before, this one has Felix's head turned to the side. His spotless neck beams at Chan, and he feels his teeth start to ache.

A finger rests tentatively on Felix’s lips and his eyes are half-lidded as he looks up and into the camera. That gaze. That fucking gaze is Felix’s silent beg for Chan’s cock. He wants it. Chan can see it.

“Fuck, Lix,” Chan moans, teeth sinking into his knuckle.

ChromeCh

Fuck.

Fuck.

Fuck.

yong.lixx

now you’re the one struggling

maybe i should send more

so you can tell me

what you’re thinking of

when you see me?

ChromeCh

I don’t want to push you too hard

You don’t know me

Aren’t you being a bit unsafe?

yong.lixx

do you want more?

yes

no

ChromeCh

fuck

yes sure

Are you alone?

Chan nearly whines when he scrolls up and looks at the latest photo again. He lowers his phone with a trembling hand until the tip of his cock pushes against the glass surface and what he pretends to be real lips.

A new message ticks in.

yong.lixx

no….

my dad is here

i’m visiting him

ChromeCh

So you’re teasing me with your dad in the same room?

That’s fucked up,

yong.lixx

maybe

he’s busy

and i don’t really care

The new picture sends Chan over the edge. He grips the edge of the sink as he throws his phone away. Cum spurts all over the floor, and he does everything in his power to not let out the moans he knows rumble in his chest.

Felix’s name lingers on his tongue even when he goes to wipe a stray line of cum off his phone. His son’s hand is visible on the screen. His small fingers curve slightly around a small length he has hidden under a layer of light blue pj’s—the same ones Chan rutted against all night.

ChromeCh

Do you know what would please me?

yong.lixx

tell me

i’m good at following orders

i like it

ChromeCh

If you sporadically sent me pictures throughout the day when your dad is in the room

The thought of you walking around

Fuck

All wet,....

While he’s there?

yong.lixx

yeah

yeah  i can

hngnjfdsjlh

i will do that.

you know chrome, my dad’s really protective

he would hate this

ChromeCh

I’m sure that only excites you even more.

Now.

Do as I say and I might reward you later.

When Chan locks his phone and lifts his head to look at himself in the mirror, he sees nothing more than a devil staring back at him. Horns curl around his head and his eyes turn a deep maroon.

He has no idea how the conversation ended up where they are now, but he’s not about to complain. Sure, the thought of Felix being so eager to text strangers is worrying. However, as long as he keeps texting Chan alone, then he supposes it’s quite allright.

And if anything…

He can’t wait to see his son all squirmy on the couch when he goes to give him a much-needed morning hug.

“Felix?” Chan calls out and exits the bathroom. “Two eggs or three?”

{}

Felix stays for another four days. Jeongin’s rut only lasts for another two, but Chan—the ever-loving father—convinces his son to stay longer, just in case. Luckily, his son doesn’t come up with too many objections, and Chan remains on his winning streak—there's no way he’ll let his son win any debate they have.

Chan knows best.

And Felix agrees.

In fact, his son is so agreeable that even when Chan—begrudgingly—offers to put fresh bed sheets on Felix’s bed, his son simply shakes his head.

“I’d rather stay with you if you don’t mind.”

To that, Chan had smiled and laughed it off, his hand playfully ruffling Felix’s hair. However, while his outward appearance is bright and calm, his insides are on fire. That same burning sensation only worsens when Felix doesn’t stop texting ChromeCh.

Just like he’d asked, Felix obeys by texting Chan’s fake account every time the two of them are in the same room. Chan, of course, makes sure to comment on Felix’s continued use of his phone—even sulking when his son scoffs at him. But he doesn’t take it any further than that. Instead, he relishes every message and every photo.

And once…

Just once…

Chan sends a picture of his own.

It happens when the two of them are on either side of the couch. Both agreed to watch a movie, but neither are particularly interested in watching. Chan pretends that he has a few work emails to answer, while Felix says he’s talking to Changbin when it’s safe to return.

“Tomorrow,” Felix says, his gaze moving from his phone to Chan.

“Tomorrow?” Chan repeats, hating how bitter the word tastes.

Felix nods before he shifts his position so his legs are on top of Chan—almost as if he’s suddenly afraid their closeness will disappear.

“Yeah, do you think it’s safe?”

Something within Chan wails, and he clutches his chest in an attempt to make the heart ache disappear. Rationally, he knows that it’s probably safe. Changbin wouldn’t have texted Felix if it wasn’t—unless Changbin’s in rut and he wants to rip Felix from his father’s grip and claim him for his own…

But that’s unlikely, even though that’s what Chan wishes he could use as an excuse. Instead, he simply shrugs—acting nonchalant. “If he says so, yes. But do you feel okay with it?”

His control over Felix is a game of give and take. Chan provides his son the space to breathe when need be, only to tug at the chain leash he has around Felix’s neck when he strays too far from the path Chan has spent cultivating for years.

“I guess?”

“Then you should go home tomorrow.” And return to me when the time is right.

His son’s unsure expression pleases Chan to no end, and he takes the opportunity to dig his thumb into the foot closest to his lap. A low groan erupts, and soon, the two of them feel far more at ease.

At least outwardly… For Chan’s already opened up Instagram—eager to continue to ruin Felix’s relationship with Daichi, and anyone else for that matter.

ChromeCh

Such a pretty omega. Look at those plump little lips…

Is your dad there now?

Is he looking at you?

yong.lixx

yeah he’s here..

he looks like he wants to eat me

hahahha

Chan’s eyes fly to his son and his cock strains upon the immediate sight of a lower lip placed between a row of pearly whites.

ChromeCh

Maybe it’s fucked up but I kinda want you to squirm even more while he’s there.

yong.lixx

fuck

yeah?

i.. thta’s kinda risky

ChromeCh

Maybe I should send you a picture of myself? A little teaser of what you might see one day?

You’ve been such a good boy sending me all these pictures of yourself that I feel like I should return the favor.

“Felix?” Chan says, tone level.

“Y-yeah?”

“You okay?” Chan asks, his thumb again rubbing into his son’s foot. “Your scent is spiking is your he—”

Wide eyes and an immediate rush of “no, no, no’s” and a well-thought-of reassuring sentence fill the room, and Chan settles with a fond smile.

yong.lixx

sfdjhsdjkds

fuck chrome

yeah, yeah please i would love to se e you

ChromeCh

You’re so cute

But okay, yeah. I’ll send a picture. It won’t be off my face, and it’ll probably be one I took a year ago, but only because I don’t take that many photos in general.

It’s when Felix sinks further down the couch, and a pillow accidentally lands over his crotch that Chan bites back a low groan. He eyes his son with such piqued interest that he almost worries he might blow his cover. However, as he scrolls through his albums for the perfect photo, the desire to watch Felix try not to squirm in his presence, forces his Mask of Wickedness to remain prominent.

“Your scent is really everywhere today,” Chan mumbles, greedily inhaling more than he should. No response comes, not even when Chan nudges his son by pressing his toe into his thigh. Nothing he does manages to make his son look anywhere else than the screen of his phone.

Chan knows what he’s looking at, and he knows how much it shows off his physique. As his son’s scent spikes to such degrees that he can’t even contain his own, Chan lets out a breathy sound and excuses himself.

He walks into the bathroom and slips his hand down his pants yet again, watching eagerly as his son’s response to the gym picture he sent ticks in.

yong.lixx

what teh fukc

what is thshfjds

there’s no wayy you’re this hot? why are you ripped and

so dom

i mean

so nice to talk to

[...]

It doesn’t take long until Felix starts sending pictures of himself again, but this time, it’s not of his face. Much like the previous time they texted and Chan found himself jerking off in the bathroom, Felix makes sure to properly show off his bulge.

Except it’s barely clothed this time…

“Fuck,” Chan swears, eyes glued to the outline of his son’s cock. The fabric of his underwear does little to hide the shape of it, and he even sees a wet spot form where the head is.

ChromeCh

Bet you’re wet somewhere else, too

I should be there with you…

Fuck you while your father is in the house

yong.lixx

i’m not good at being silent

he’d know

he’d even come and stop us

Chan’s legs threaten to give out as he starts to fuck into his hand, mind easily imagining it is his son that he’s fucking. The wrongness of it all only furthers his desire, and he can’t help but push Felix’s boundaries even more.

ChromeCh

You like it.

You want him to see you.

See us.

Felix’s response comes in a wave of incoherent messages. He tries to deny it over and over again. But as Chan pushes harder and harder, the messages come to a halt, and he knows he’s won yet again.

yong.lixx

im so fucked up

In life, there are certain moments that will forever be ingrained in one’s repertoire of memories, and the sight of his son sending a picture of his underwear soaked in cum is for sure one of those moments.

Only a few seconds pass before Chan hunches over in pleasure. He zooms in on Felix’s fingers, outlining the tip of his cock—a sticky residue seeping through the fabric.

In a rare moment of courtesy, Chan waits to exit the bathroom until he hears light feet rush up the stairs. Once out, he doesn’t even call for his son. Instead, he goes over to the couch and burrows his nose into the warm spot left behind.

He inhales over and over again, growing inebriated at the smell of slick and ravenous apples.

It’s that very same night—Felix’s last night in Chan’s arms—that he goes further than ever before. As his son’s breath grows steady and full of sleep, he carefully slides his hand down his pj’s again.

“Such a pretty little thing,” Chan murmurs and wraps his hand around Felix’s cock. It’s a gentle and slow touch, not enough to wake his son from his slumber—but enough to make it fill up in his hand.

And enough for the finger he slides between two freckled ass cheeks to be coated in sweet slick.

Chan is going to hell, he knows it. But he has no desire to go there alone. Thus, he’ll gladly bring his own son down with him.

{}

Another win in Chan’s life comes when Felix calls him three days later, his voice broken and his demeanor even more so.

“Daichi and I broke up,” he cries. “I knew he wasn’t the one, but Dad—fuck… it still hurts!”

“Oh, Lix-ah,” Chan says, sincere in his worry. “Do you need me to come over? I can bring some warm food and maybe we can go out for a walk, it’ll help clear your head.”

“No…”

“No?”

A pause ensues—one that makes Chan’s stomach churn with excitement.

“I was wondering if I could maybe come back home again? You see… I think Jeongin’s rut triggered Changbin’s. He’s been quite annoyed today, and usually, he’s not so agitated since he’s—”

Chan shoots up, his eyes wide open and his smile so grand it reaches his ears. “I’ll come pick you up, baby.” He strides through the living room and grabs his car keys. They make such a loud sound that even his son lets out a breathy laugh.

“I’ll pack a bigger bag this time…”

“Yeah?” Chan says, hope and greed seeping from his frame.

“Yeah, I think I want to stay with you for a bit longer.”

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is better than seeing his son back at home. Since they barely spent any time apart, Felix is quick to resume the habits he picked up on the last time he was there. With his head dangling off the couch and his phone in his hand, Chan can’t help but feel utterly endeared.

So endeared, in fact, that he sends another picture of himself.

But to keep himself from pouncing on his little prey too quickly, Chan slows down his own teasing and focuses on making Felix feel secure and safe in his home. He does this by cooking for him, taking him out to buy some new clothes, and making sure that his bedroom is tidy.

For yes, Chan’s the one who suggests that Felix sleeps in his own bed. He’s a diligent father, after all. Although Felix agrees, there’s a pout on his lips—though Chan’s certain he’ll soon wipe it away, either with loving words or an intrusive touch.

Four days pass before Chan carefully asks how Changbin’s rut is going. When Felix only shrugs and shakes his head, mumbling something about not having asked, Chan smiles and reaches out to wrap his arms around narrow shoulders.

“You’re more than welcome to stay for as long as you want.”

Felix shakes his head. “But I don’t want to impose, and I don’t want to lose my room at their apartment…”

“But you’re safer here, Baby. Can’t you see how bad it is to live with two alphas like that? Sure, they haven’t done anything that has done anything but spook you a little bit, but you never know… Ruts are difficult.”

Gentle music plays from the radio and Felix nods slowly, sinking into Chan’s touch. “But you also have them, won’t you also get agitated?”

“I have years of experience,” Chan murmurs, his thumb stroking Felix’s cheek—slowly inching closer to his mouth. Those plush lips are practically begging him to be touched. Oh, how nice it would be to feel his son’s soft tongue glide over the pad of his finger. “Those young alphas have nothing on me.”

“Yeah,” Felix says, his voice having dropped an octave. “I like that.”

Chan huffs—a saving grace for his facade, because his cock immediately twitches. “Yeah? Are you into older alphas, Lix?” His thumb acts on its own volition, and soon, it rests against pink flesh.

“If I say yes to that, you’ll never let me out of sight,” Felix chuckles lowly, still enough for his face to not move—almost as if he doesn’t want to lose the possibility that Chan’s finger might dip inside his mouth.

“Maybe,” Chan teases. “But…”

“But?” Felix looks up, gaze expectant.

Desire nearly overcomes him. Chan breathes through his nose before he gently moves his hand to pull his son even closer. “As long as you find someone with a better backbone than Daichi, I’ll be easier to convince.”

The slow music dulls the pulse that’s rapidly beating in Chan’s ears. It’s getting more and more difficult to hold back, and when Felix quietly whispers,

“I like that you’re protective of me, Dad…”

Chan nearly loses control.

One evening, when the two of them have returned to their usual positions on the couch, Felix finally opens up about Daichi. He tells Chan about what he discovered, though he omits the part where he talks to Chrome. He even shows “evidence” for his previous cheating escapades—though all of those text messages and photos are, of course, fabricated lies given by Chan himself.

“You know what’s the worst thing?” Felix groans, now practically on all fours, as he slowly inches closer to Chan.

“No?” Chan muses, playing with the strings of Felix’s hoodie. “Tell me.”

“He fucking pretends that he doesn’t even know a guy named Aiki! How can he just lie straight to my face like that? Fucking idiot.”

Chan tugs on the string, urging his son closer. “People like that lie for their own gain, Lix. They can’t be trusted at all. Honestly, I think you would have sensed something—come here," Chan says, bringing Felix into his lap, “I think you would have known he was a bad person even without all this evidence.”

“You think so?” Felix says, lips downturned and his hands wrapped up in Chan’s dress shirt.

While he doesn’t quite have his knees on either side of his father’s thighs, he does have his ass planted right above his cock.

“Yeah,” Chan murmurs, strained. “You’re such a smart boy.”

“Boy,” Felix scoffs and flicks Chan’s forehead. “But yeah… I would have figured it out after a while. I’m good at reading people and finding out information. At least, when I want to.”

Because it’s easier to play a dumb little omega, isn’t it? “Absolutely,” Chan says and wraps his hands around Felix’s waist. Their eyes meet, and for a split second, Chan wonders if he should place a small peck on those plush lips—like he used to back in the day when his thoughts were far more innocent.

Alas, he doesn’t do so, but Felix still rewards him with a giggle before leaning down to rest his forehead against Chan’s shoulder. Of course, his nose brushes against Chan’s scent gland, and soon, the air blooms with pine and green apples.

The rest of the day passes like normal. They both make an effort to clean up the place, all while singing their favorite tunes. Hearing his son’s voice like that brings such joy to Chan’s heart that he can’t help but secretly record him. The video won’t be seen by anyone but him—during late nights when he wants something to jerk off to.

Speaking of jerking off, when the evening comes rolling in and they mutter a quiet goodnight, Chan’s phone lights up. A notification from yong.lixx pops up, and Chan hurries to close the door to his bedroom.

The bed dips as he lays down on top of the sheets. He’s wearing nothing but comfortable sweatpants and a loose hoodie, all of which he suspects might end up on the floor if their conversation evolves.

Felix writes Chrome a few updates from his day, even going as far to include Chan in his messages—something which Chrome of course makes light of, causing Felix’s texting to grow even more erratic.

“Cute,” he mumbles to himself, bare feet rubbing excitedly together. Anticipation lingers in the air, and when Chan looks over at his closed door, he briefly regrets shutting it. He’d give anything to hear the faint giggles and moans come from his son’s room.

But then again…

He’s not foreign to eavesdropping. Perhaps he’ll take a gander if Felix continues on this path.

yong.lixx

no.. i’m in my bed

he’s asleep

i think

ChromeCh

Still, you should be quiet. You don’t want him to hear you.

Right?

yong.lixx

right…

i don’t want that

ChromeCh

You don’t want him to wake up and hear your pretty sounds… Breathy moans and low curses. I wonder what he’d do, Felix? Would he be appalled that you’re texting a stranger in the same house as him? Sending that exact same stranger lewd pictures…

yong.lixx

he’d be so mad

he hates it when i talk to other people

he’s overbearing

ChromeCh

He is

But you know, Lix

I think you kind of like it

yong.lixx

noo

fuck i no i don’t i

fuck why are you so good at that

so good at reading me

i’m disgusting for even imagining him outside

ChromeCh

So you don’t deny it hehe

Chan’s vision blurs. He sinks further down his bed and allows his knees to fall to each side. Barely covered by the gray of his sweatpants is the outline of his cock. He glances down at it, swallowing hard as he forces himself to not touch it. Instead, he continues to send Felix more and more texts, pushing the limits each and every time.

He might be cocky, and he might be walking dangerously close to the abyss, but Felix never stops responding. And so, when the first voice message pops up on his screen, Chan thinks he might cum right there and then.

A deep caramel voice slips through the speakers. “Want you,” Felix murmurs before shuffling in his bed.

Chan closes his eyes and imagines the sight. He’s seen his son all splayed out on the bed, his thin pajamas accentuating every curve of his body. And now, Chan wonders if he has his hand over his cock, or perhaps even lower—teasing himself as he speaks to Chrome.

“... to fuck me while he listens,” Felix continues, gravelly and desperate. “He’d be so mad—so angry. Fuck, maybe he’d walk in on us.”

He would. Walk in on them, that is. Not to marvel at the man fucking his son, but rather knock his teeth in and beat him to a pulp. No one is allowed to touch Felix. Not even the fantasy that is Chrome.

“I want it,” Felix whispers. “I want you and…”

The words trail off, but Chan has no qualms about finishing the sentence on his own, especially not when he listens to Felix squirm in his bed, quiet little moans slipping past those beautiful lips. He must be touching himself. Hand dipped under his pants, fingers playing with his cock before gently teasing his hole.

“I’m so wet.”

Chan about loses it. He replays the message over and over again, gently thrusting his hips into the air—his alpha angry at the lack of contact with a pretty omega. In fact, his alpha is acting too aggressively.

He can sense its baring teeth and its stalking presence, one that matches perfectly with his own darkness. His rut is starting to brew under the surface. And oh, how that realization makes Chan’s head spin.

His son… so afraid of another alpha’s rut.

“Dad, no… Please, what are you doing?”

“Showing you how proper alphas act when they’re in rut. Shh, Baby, I’ll take care of you.”

Unlike those other alphas, Chan will remain in control—at least up until the point where he lets his instincts take over. But by then, Felix will have fully submitted to him. This exact scenario is why Chan can’t help but send another message to his son.

ChromeCh

You sound so good, Lix. Fuck, now I can’t stop imagining how much better those moans would be if you were under me.

You’d be so perfect

All docile and pliant, eager to heed my command.

yong.lixx

yes yes, yes i wanna

i’ll do anything you ask of me

ChromeCh

Anything?

yong.lixx

anything anything!

just want you so bad

ChromeCh

Then go to his room.

yong.lixx

what

i can’t i

ChromeCh

You said you’d do anything for me. Now be a good omega for me, Baby. Go to his room and lie in the same bed as your father. You can text me from there. I’ll send you some pictures for you to look at.

Fuck, I need you to squirm while he sleeps next to you. Can you do that? Can you do that for me?

The answer comes in a series of rapid messages followed by Felix whining into his microphone. Then, Chan hears the next answer—the opening of his son’s bedroom door. Quickly, he slides under his sheets, kicking off his sweatpants and closing his eyes.

Pretending to sleep as Felix sneaks into his bedroom—his scent spiked—proves to be an easy affair. Felix gently lifts the bedsheet and lies down carefully. However, as Chan rustles slightly, his movements don’t stop.

“Can I sleep here?” his son asks and Chan murmurs a tired response. He holds out his hand for his son—gleeful when Felix decides to inch closer. Soft fabric brushes against Chan’s skin, and his son burrows his head into the pillow next to Chan’s face.

“Can’t sleep?” Chan asks, acting as if he’s rousing from a slumber.

“No,” Felix whispers. “Not sure why…”

Chan huffs and brings his son closer, their chests now aligned. He makes sure to keep his crotch angled slightly upward, only because he doesn’t want to prematurely scare his son.

“Your scent is everywhere,” Chan groans, unable to keep himself from digging his fingers into Felix’s scent gland—greedily massaging it until another deposit fills the air. Under his touch, his son gasps slightly, squirming at the intense sensation.

From the get-go, this type of behavior is far from normal, but Chan has made sure that Felix doesn’t mind it. Only now he knows that it’s evoking another response than intended.

His son practically purrs with every touch, and Chan can’t help but feel his own excitement start to seep through every pore on his body.

“Good?” He asks.

“Y-yeah,” Felix responds immediately, his timbre low and comparable to his voice messages. “Don’t stop…”

“I won’t,” Chan hums. He continues to massage the sore nerve with his thumb, and by wriggling his other hand free tto gently play with his son’s hair. “My pretty baby. What has gotten you so worked up? You’re acting differently.”

Felix cranes his neck and looks up. His eyes are glassy and his lips are teetering on the edge of being swollen. A thin coating of spit adorns his lower lip as his tongue darts out. “Nothing happened,” he says, an apparent moan bubbling somewhere deep in his chest.

Chan wants to push further. He wants to pin his son down and crawl over him—make those beautiful, brown eyes flare wide and his legs kick against the mattress. But as his eyes dart to his phone, he knows to bide his time. Thus, he places a gentle kiss on his son’s forehead before he lets him go.

Although Felix accepts it, he barely moves away. Instead, he simply turns around and grabs his own phone—perky ass brushing against Chan’s side. His screen lights up, and Chan does his best not to openly stare at his plan coming to fruition.

His screen lights up, and the gentle buzz indicates that a message has arrived. Chan groans and reaches for it, mumbling about people texting him this late.

yong.lixx

i did it

i’m nervous

he might see

ChromeCh

Good boy. You listen so well, Felix.

Did he notice your scent?

yong.lixx

i think so

fuck

he was so close…

ChromeCh

I bet you liked it.

Felix squirms, and Chan’s breath grows labored. He inches closer, propping himself half up on his elbow, only to catch a little peek of his son’s phone. Like a hunter, he watches his prey with eager yet also patient eyes.

Only when his phone buzzes again does Chan lean closer.

“Who are you texting?”

Like a deer caught in headlights, Felix stills. His phone falls from his grasp, only barely able to lock it before Chan’s able to see the chat.

“No one…”

“No one?” Chan says and moves closer. He scoffs and presses one hand into his son’s shoulder before he reaches over and attempts to grab the evidence. “Is that why your scent is all over the place? Are you talking to someone?”

“No…”

“You know I hate it when you lie.”

Felix’s small hands and surprisingly weak attempt at stopping his father, has Chan grabbing the phone with ease. He ends up covering most of his son’s frame, pushing into him with more force than he’s ever allowed himself.

“Please,” Felix utters, glistening tears threatening to spill. “Don’t read it! I will tell you instead. Please, just—”

Chan clicks his tongue before shaking his head—making his son let out a shameful whimper, one that goes straight to Chan’s crotch. He feels his cock swell, not enough to be obvious, but enough that it makes his desire spike.

“I see,” Chan murmurs, scrolling through the messages he’s seen so many times before. “You break up with Daichi, and then you immediately jump into another man’s lap?”

When his son goes to reclaim his phone, Chan lets him, but only after he starts playing Felix’s first voice message. His son's moans and whimpers fill the air and Felix’s face grows mortified. He tries to wriggle free from Chan’s hold, but all he manages is to further trap himself in the alpha’s grasp.

“No, no,” Chan says, one hand now on Felix’s neck. “You can’t just say that you like it when I listen in… That you like it when I’m protective and obsessive, and then grow all scared like this when you’re finally caught in the act.”

“That’s not—”

“Oh, but it is,” Chan hums. He curls his hand around his son’s neck and gleams. The skin under his hand turns dark—the blush hidden by the lack of light in the room. “You wanted me to notice. You wanted me to notice your little predicament. Mhmm, I bet you wanted your father to help you out…”

His hand slides down from Felix’s neck—grazing hard nipples and a chest that heaves for air. Only when he feels the curve of Felix’s warm cock does he stop. “See?” Chan says, adding pressure. “You’re all hard for your Daddy.”

A broken prey caught in a trap—Felix lets out a scared wail. The sound causes a shiver to run down Chan’s spine and he rushes to experience that same emotion again by bucking his hard erection into his son.

“You listened so well, Baby,” Chan murmurs, their cocks grinding against each other. “You’re such a good omega for me, listening to every order and every command. I knew we were meant for each other.”

Realization dawns upon Felix like a rushing horde of sheep running from a big bad wolf. “No,” he lets out, clawing at Chan’s chest—the one he’s been staring at for all these days. “No, no, no….”

As Chan leans down, the scent of fresh apples grows heavy and rotten. “Poor baby,” Chan whispers and runs his nose over Felix’s jaw before finally allowing himself a proper taste of his son’s body.

The scent gland feels like a bundle of stiff nerves, but as he wraps his lips around it and licks it until Felix has no choice but to release deposits of his scent, the gland starts to soften. Not because his son suddenly gives in but rather because he’s forced to submit.

“There we go,” Chan moans, his own pheromones coating the entire room, soaking his son’s body with his overpowering pine. “You’re doing so well, Baby. Becoming a perfect little docile omega for your Daddy.”

Felix whines—saccharine and intoxicating.

“Spread your legs, Lix,” Chan hums, his breath ghosting his son’s ear. His tongue darts out, and he licks a gentle stripe from the lobe and all the way to those inebriating lips. Perfect in every way, Felix’s legs open up and Chan’s granted all the access he needs.

He’s taken more than he was allowed several times. Now, it feels good to get permission.

Their first kiss is an amalgamation of moans and tongues. Felix is slack in his grip, but his body still responds eagerly—and the fresh apples Chan has always been fortunate to smell, he now tastes.

“You were so easy to convince,” Chan says, tugging at Felix’s bottoms. When he pulls it down, his aching cock comes into sight, and it’s everything Chan has ever wanted.

The length curves slightly and the head is nowhere near bulbous. It’s not per se small, but it’s certainly shorter and less girthier than his own. A cute little line travels up the shaft, and Chan can’t help but let it roll under his fingertips. As he does so, Felix’s back arches and a plume of sweetness exudes from his body.

“I want to reprimand you for trusting strangers so easily, but that punishment will have to come on a later day, I—”

“Please…”

Chan swallows hard, cock straining in his underwear. “How does it feel, Baby? To have your father catch you in the act?”

Felix shakes his head slowly, there’s no power behind his movements at all—his omega is entirely lost to Chan’s alpha. It such a cute sight that Chan can’t help but make him repeat the action by gripping his son’s face and shaking it manually.

“It doesn’t feel good?” Chan teases. “But you’re responding so well to me, Baby…”

Those last words incite a broken mewl from his son, a sound that increases in volume when Chan’s hand dips between his cheeks and two fingers prod at his slick hole. It nearly gushes out of him, and as Chan slowly pushes inside, Felix arches and gasps.

“You like it,” Chan says, an order.

“Dad, I—”

“No, no,” Chan hushes. “If you’re going to speak, then you need to do it correctly. If not, I have no qualms fucking you so hard you can’t formulate a single word.”

Brown eyes flare, and pupils dilate. Felix looks both terrified and excited—Chan chooses to believe the emotions carry equal weight.

Chan leans down and drags his lips over Felix’s cheeks, his two fingers now coated in saccharine liquid. He murmurs promises into his son’s skin. Promises of how well he’ll be treated, how good he’ll feel, and how much his father loves him.

He’s taking it too far. He knows it. But for once in his life, Chan doesn’t want to stop and bide his time. No, he wants to ruin Felix and make him understand no one but his father will be good enough for him.

Chrome planted the seed, and Felix immediately jumped on the idea. It won’t take long until he’s fully complicit in Chan’s plan for their relationship. But until that day comes, he will simply continue to break him in.

“Come now,” Chan says, curling his fingers a few times before hooking his arm under his son’s slack body. He lifts him slightly and urges him to fall toward Chan. Unsurprisingly—because Felix is his perfect little slut—his son falls face flat into his crotch.

“Ah,” Felix says dumbly, and Chan coos.

That pretty mouth of his, with all the drool and saliva, is quickly filled up by Chan inserting the tip of his cock. Felix whines and trembles, but he knows better than to look anywhere else than up at his father.

“Did Daichi fuck you?”

Felix swallows, his mouth constricting around Chan’s length. Slowly, he nods. Although all of his other responses have been weak and full of fright, this one seems rather mild.

“Did he do it properly?” Chan asks, cupping his son’s cheek as he presses the head of his cock into the soft flesh. “Like you deserve?”

Furrowing his brows, Felix whines.

“Poor thing,” Chan sighs, smiling gently before driving his length further in until it bumps into his son’s throat. “I’ll show you how it’s done. I told you, didn't I? I have plenty of experience.” Four more thrusts against the back of Felix’s mouth garner him proper entrance. In one slick move, he grabs his son’s hair and tugs his head back a little and gently forces his cock all the way in.

Felix’s nose rests at the base of Chan’s stomach, and although his toes curl and his feet kick, he stays in place—even allowing Chan to slowly thrust in and out while he reaches over Felix and spreads his ass.

His glistening hole glimmers even in the dark. It pulsates when he runs his pads over the puckering muscle, showing no hesitancy when he re-inserts his fingers. Felix’s moans are swallowed by Chan’s cock pistoning in and out of his pliant body.

“Good boy,” Chan praises and presses another digit inside. There’s enough slick to accommodate the size, but Felix still grinds his hips down into the mattress and wails. It’s such a pleasurable sight that Chan continues to pull those same moans out of him by matching the speed of his cock to his fingers.

Once drool covers the mattress, Chan spins his son around. He crawls over his body and  cages him by placing his elbows on either side of his face. “Look at you,” he hums. “You look wrecked already, and I haven’t even gotten to fuck you.”

Tears spring free from Felix’s eyes as he nods, mewling incoherent words when Chan connects their lips. He’s unable to string together a sentence, but Chan still picks up on his pleas.

Especially when Felix moans, “Daddy.”

Lust courses through Chan’s body like a tidal wave, and he jerks his hips forward. The tip of his cock catches on his son’s hole over and over again until Felix wails. The slick rim accepts him when he aligns himself properly, granting his son what he deserves.

Finally, the time has come. For what feels like forever, Chan has been waiting patiently. Although he never quite understood that he craved his son in this manner, he’s always known that he needed him locked up and close. By fucking his son, he seals their fate and fulfills his life-long desire.

Hot, clenching walls surround him. Felix’s body accepts him like no one else has before. It almost feels like his son’s heat has started—all because he’s so happy that his dad has finally chosen to do what’s best for him.

“Fuck, fuck,” Felix moans, his head thrown back and his beautiful neck on display.

Chan grabs the sensitive skin and digs his thumb into the scent gland at the base, “Such a good little omega. You’re perfect for me.”

“Too deep,” Felix forces out, his eyes almost rolling back into his skull, but even as he complains, he still can’t help himself, and he pulls Chan closer.

“Not deep enough, Darling.”

Their bodies slam together, creating a cacophony of lewd sounds and broken moans. Felix’s deep timbre sings through the entire house. Chan wonders if the neighbors can hear them consummating their love.

Greedy, Chan folds his son in on himself, forcing his ass higher up so he can drive his cock faster and deeper—hitting several spots within Felix that causes him to moan like the wanton whore that he is.

“You feel so good, Lix-ah. I can’t believe I held back for so long!”

“No— yes, ahh— fuck, Daddy, I can’t—”

Daddy.

Daddy.

Daddy.

Daddy.

“Say it again,” Chan growls, spreading his son’s legs apart and diving back down to wrap his hands around his neck. It’s a gentle touch, soft enough that it only makes Felix choke a little bit. “Come on now,” he pries, cock steadily fucking in and out of his son’s hole.

Felix screws his eyes shut, but his jaw falls slack and the garbled word of God spills free, “Daddy, please—”

Chan needs no more convincing. He picks up the pace and watches eagerly as his son’s entire frame jolts back and forth. His freckled chest is bright red and his brown, pert nipples stand tall.

“Come for me, Baby,” Chan says during an open-mouthed kiss filled with more groans and whines than any true words. His son shivers and his fingers claw at his back. They’ll leave behind marks that Chan will wear with pride.

Fucking his son through his orgasm is nothing short of true paradise. Felix clenches around his cock. His omegan biology wants to trap him inside—keeping his knot there until he’s bred full of pups. Even though Chan can’t quite produce a knot yet, he still manages to press his hand down on Felix’s stomach, murmuring promises that send Felix over the edge.

White, slick cum sprays everywhere. It coats Chan’s hand with ease and when he brings it up to his lips to taste, Felix mewls and shakes his head frantically. But Chan has no intention of stopping, and as he continues to fuck him, he licks his fingers clean.

“No, no…”

Chan scoffs. “Still trying to make me stop, huh?” He grabs his son's cock, gripping it so hard that he forces another clench around his own length. The added tightness is wholly unnecessary. It’s already a feat that Chan hasn’t come prematurely. However, he can’t contain himself—finding that every pained expression his son makes fuels his desire even more.

“You’re sucking me in, Baby. Fuck, you want my cum so bad?”

“I— Ahh, no— I mean fuck, fuck, fuck.”

“Stop lying to yourself. Tell me what you want.”

Felix’s eyes fly open. But as even more tears fall his lips curl up into a twisted smile—one born out of disgust but also true desire. “Need it,” he whispers. “I’ve always needed it.”

Lust, love, every single emotion Chan feels for his son collects in his stomach. He rams his hips one last time, collapsing on top of him—teeth aching so bad that he can’t help but sink them into Felix’s untarnished neck.

The claws on his back sharpen.

Felix screams.

And Chan spills his seed as blood seeps into his mouth.

Clarity.

Clarity comes when Felix’s knuckles ram into his cheek. Chan’s surprise earns his son the needed momentum to wriggle free. The mattress under him is soaked in sweat, slick, and fresh apples. There’s not a single hint of sourness remaining.

He knows it.

He’s won again.

Even as he stares at his son rushing to put his clothes back on, tears streaming down his face, Chan only chuckles. “You might want to run,” he says, lazily reaching out. “But it’s too late… You won’t survive more than a few days.” With one devilish finger, he points to his son’s neck and smiles.

“Even without that, you’ll still return.”

An alpha’s rut. It occurs about three times a year, far less than an omega’s heat. In some ways, it’s more severe than heat, but in other ways, it’s easier to manage—especially if one has experienced it for a long time.

Chan knows every symptom in and out. He knows that when his foot won’t stop tapping against the floor, it’s starting. When his chest feels tight and his teeth start to hurt, then he’s aware he soon needs to lock himself up or find a partner.

He also knows that when an alpha’s rut is imminent, it can trigger an omega’s heat.

ChromeCh

Missing you. Why won’t you send me a little picture of yourself?

Or you can come home and I’ll make sure you will feel even better. The mark must hurt a lot, Baby. It’s not meant to be so shallow. I should have bitten you deeper. That way, you wouldn’t go through so much pain.

The mark he left behind isn’t truly a proper claiming mark, but it’s nearly there. In fact, it’s so close to being one that his son’s omega is tied to his alpha. The connection isn’t deep enough to last for a long time, but its severity definitely causes Felix a lot of pain while he’s away from Chan.

Sure, he doesn’t want his son to hurt. However, everything he does for Felix is for his best. It’s okay that he doesn’t realize that yet. Chan’s well of patience is still full.

Though, his incoming rut is proving to be more of a hassle than he’s used to. Now that he’s gotten a taste of his own flesh and blood, nothing else can compare. He tries to fuck a random stranger in the bar he likes to traverse, but their scent and slick almost appals him.

Nothing can compare to his son.

Thus, Chan decides to wait until he returns.

He leaves the door to his apartment unlocked for the next week. Every morning he checks the house for any trace of his son, but nothing ever changes—even the bag he left behind in his room is still there.

He’s asked where Felix is, both through a text message under his own name, but also from ChromeCh. When his son refused to answer both, Chan merely stepped out of the house and fell back into his normal routine of stalking.

Felix returned to Changbin and Jeongin for a day before he moved to Jisung’s house for another two. Then, on the third night, Chan lost him—only to see him on day four huddled in a corner close to the Han River, neck bandaged and his hand down his pants.

Keeping a distance while Felix jerked himself off was nearly impossible, but it certainly helped when he mimicked the action himself. The two of them truly are deplorable.

Day five and six, he spent time at home, entirely secure about what was going to happen. Perhaps it’s his rut that makes him extra cocky, or maybe it’s the fact that Felix has never been able to stay away for long.

And so, when Friday comes along, and the door opens as he’s about to go to bed, Chan knows his plan has finally come to full fruition. He swivels on his heels, his step excited as he walks down the staircase, clad only in low-hanging sweatpants.

There—barely past the door is Felix on his knees. Chan stops a few meters from him and gleams when his alpha bares its teeth—rut barely kept at a distance.

A low mewl followed by a trembled apology fills the air. However, it’s not the only thing that permeates the room. An orchard of fresh green apples blooms and sways in the wind, causing Chan’s pine to be overshadowed.

“Oh, Baby,” Chan coos, he walks forward and reaches down to tip Felix’s head back by hooking a finger under his jaw. “Are you feeling a little bit feverish?”

“Ahh,” Felix utters, dumb and already halfway gone. “Hurts… it hurts everywhere.” He clutches his neck and tugs at the bandage, then he presses his other hand down and into his crotch.

“Do you need me to help you out, Baby?” Chan crouches down and leans in close. Felix’s eyes widen in surprise at his heavy scent, but as a plume of rut-induced pheromones coats his frame, he nods. “You’re such a good boy, you missed me a lot, didn’t you?”

“Yes, yes, I— I couldn’t stay away…”

“You didn’t want to stay away.”

Felix reels back, his eyes wide and not fully lost to his incoming heat. There’s still hesitancy there, but Chan sees the dominating lust swimming under the surface. He also sees the large crack in Felix’s heart—the one he has pried open with his bare fingers. They both know that his son’s return isn’t only due to his biological need.

Or…

It is.

Because Felix has always needed his father to love and care for him. Treat him like the gorgeous omega that he is.

“Tell me you need me.”

His son gathers himself, lower lip lodged between his teeth. With one weak push, he falls forward, landing on all fours. “Daddy,” he whines. “I need you. I need you so much. I’ve always needed you.”

Chan’s heart soars. He reaches out for his son and beckons him forward. Like a docile animal, Felix crawls toward him, pushing Chan down to the floor—only so he can crawl into his lap.

“You want Daddy to show you how a true alpha handles his rut?”

Once more, Felix’s eyes flare. But this time, they do so with intrigue dripping from his pupils. One slow nod turns into several quick ones, so rapid that his entire body shakes and he grinds down onto Chan’s already hard cock.

“My lovely Lix will spend his heat with his father—”

“In rut…”

“Yes, Baby. You’re such a smart omega, but you don’t need to think about anything now, yeah? Daddy will take care of you forever.

Soft words and touches turn into true animalistic behavior when Felix leans down and captures Chan’s lips in a heated kiss. Their tongues clash and their teeth chatter. From the back of their throats, a low growl pushes through.

As Chan’s wolf corners his omega, he rips off his son’s pants. His act of desperation is met with equal desire when Felix unbuckles Chan with nimble fingers. They have one goal only, and that’s to consummate their mutual love.

Slick gushes out his son’s feverish body, and Felix wails as Chan presses three fingers inside. “I just have to check, I don’t want to—”

“Give it to me! Stop being so fucking patient!”

Clawed fingers grab Chan’s cock, and before he knows it, his entire length is sheathed within a cavern of pure lava. Felix moves without warning, fuelled by something far deeper than a simple heat. He grabs Chan’s hands and puts one on his hips and one on his belly.

“Need,” Felix breathes out shakily, his thighs continuing to move up and down.

“I’ll give you everything you need, Lix. That’s all I ever wanted.”

Glassy eyes look with his own, and Chan’s rut comes galloping forward once he digs his fingers into his son and slams his hips upward. He only manages to piston his hips for a few seconds before they topple over and Chan barely manages to lie down on the ground with his son straddling him.

Nothing has ever felt this good before. Not the times when he listened to his son from outside his bedroom. Not when he touched him in his sleep. Not even when they fucked the last time.

Back then, Felix had cried out in fear. Now, he cries out in pleasure.

“Big, so big!” Felix garbles, his hair clinging to his sweaty body.

“You take me so well, Baby.”

“Knot… please, please, please!”

Unable to do anything but please his son, Chan follows through with his wishes. He slams his hips in and out, incapable of stopping. When Felix’s cock spurts his first load of cum, he falters and falls flush with Chan’s chest.

Despite the orgasm, an omega’s heat is only quenched by a knot embedded deep within them. Thus, Chan searches for his orgasm. He knows it’s close. He knows that in only a few more minutes, he’ll be able to give what Felix wants.

What he doesn’t anticipate is that his knot pops the same minute Felix’s teeth sink into his neck.

Mine.

My omega.

From the very bottom of his shaft, the skin stretches impossibly wide. His knot pops and his son’s moans grow to such volumes that even his father’s flesh can’t keep them contained. The bite settles. However, when Felix pulls away for a split second, tears and fear filling his eyes, Chan comforts him by reopening the mark he placed a week ago.

There has never been a debate in their life that Chan hasn’t won. With every small or great argument, he’s managed to either win with logic or with misconstrued facts. No matter how much Felix has protested Chan has always prevailed. He doesn’t care how much his son hates him for it because he knows that everything he does is for Felix’s own good.

Felix belongs with his father.

He belongs in the cage, which is their home.

And now—with their bond fully formed—Chan’s life is about to start anew.

“My pretty omega,” he whispers, knot pulsing deep within his son.

“Yours,” Felix whimpers. “Always been. Always will be.”
