Work Text:
No one ever said filming a series was going to be an easy job, even when they had experience, filming had been getting harder and harder lately, not because of the acting, but because of the amount of scenes they had to film on a daily basis and the juggling with the rest of their works. The fact that they were on quite a tight schedule, and only halfway through filming, didn’t help much either.
Today had been one of those very long days. So long, that they had to crash in a hotel close by in Chiang Main because not even driving was a possibility. They had had a very long week with barely three to four hours of sleep a day. That same day, after filming the ad for their next collaboration, they had to spend the rest of the day filming for the next cues of their series. So, exhausted was a more accurate word to describe how they felt. And yet, after a quick shower and getting into their shared bed, Offroad still couldn't fall asleep.
There was more than one reason for that, though. For starters, there was his uncontrollable anxiety which filled his head with not-very-nice thoughts, so much that he couldn't but sigh with his eyes shut. The room was dark, and his body was about to give up, yet his mind was running wild and free. He just wanted to sleep and rest his body and mind for the few hours they had.
Then there was Daou and the feelings he had yet to give a name to, especially the physical ones. Although the tension had been building up for the last few months, he thought he’d be able to rid himself of it once he got home, like he had been doing lately. Yet there he was once more, anxious, frustrated, and tense. And having Daou, the reason of all his current problems, with his warm body so close to his own was not helping one bit.
He wished with all his might that his phi was asleep. They had to work the next morning, they should both be already in dreamland. And if he was asleep, maybe he could run to the bathroom and find a solution…
“Can't sleep?” he heard all of a sudden, staying still. He didn't look back, afraid his own body would betray him.
“Hmmm…” he hummed an answer. Daou's hand, which had been resting over his waist, pulled him in closer until his back was stuck to his phi's chest. Road froze. Feeling his warm and thick body closer against his, just made things worse for him.
“I’ll sing for you” he muttered over his nape, nuzzling the back of his head with his nose. Road shivered, eyes shut so hard they hurt. This was too much, and it was not helping him keep his calm. Why did Daou have to be such a lovely and touchy person? Why did he have to make him feel so much without even intending to?
Daou started humming a song in his ear, notes as soft and sweet as honey. Any other day, Daou’s beautiful voice would have lulled him to sleep right away, but not this time. Not with the amount of tension that had built in between them. Not with his feelings running high and overwhelming him like they were. Not with how horny he was.
Daou's lips were stuck to his ear, nose nuzzling his lobe while he sang to him. His hand was spread over his tummy, big and warm, fingers stroking him softly. It wasn't the first time he felt those hands on his body. It was a regular occurrence ever since they became friends.
A week after Daou chose him to be his partner in the show, his hands never stopped being all over him. On his cheek, his chin, his head, the lowest part of his back, holding his hand, stroking his leg, his tummy, on his chest, in the back of his head, heck, even holding his ankle. Daou's hands had been almost everywhere, and he'd never felt as vulnerable under them as he was doing at that moment.
His senses were being tortured at the same time. Road’s frustration built up at a quicker pace as he almost lost control of his voice. His body began heating up, the warmth in his chest spreading until it reached his fingertips, concentrating on his lower part.
After a few seconds of planning, he decided the best course of action in his current situation was staying still. He was terrified for Daou to find out what he provoked in him. He knew for sure that if Daou learned about his feelings, their friendship would be over.
Daou was going to hate him.
And he couldn’t let that happen. Above all, he can’t lose Daou, even if it means for his heart to be broken again and again. Even if it means his feelings will never be reciprocated. He couldn’t lose Daou and their very special relationship. They are soulmates, for god’s sake. Maybe not romantic ones, but soulmates still. He can’t lose his other half, even if it means to keep shut about his feelings forever.
The warmth of Daou's body against him, the soft strokes of his hand on his tummy even over the shirt, he was going to go crazy. He decided he needed to do something about this situation. He should tell him to move away, to give him some space so he could sleep. He mustered all his courage and hoped for the best.
“P'Ou…” his face heated up even more at the sound of his own voice. It was embarrassingly high and whiny, he shut his eyes, embarrassed and scared. Daou stopped singing and started moving behind him, breathing heavily. He turned on the light on Road's side of the bed, worried something was happening. “I… I…” Before he could finish his sentence, Daou's hand moved at the same time he did and landed on his crotch.
Everyone has had an equally awkward and embarrassing moment in life that they will never forget. This was Road’s worst moment.
He has never before wanted the ground to swallow him like he did at that moment. He wanted the sky to open and suck him up from the world. Heck, he'd prefer it even if hell opened right there in the room and pulled him to the lowest level of it. It would hurt less than what was going to happen after that moment.
His eyes filled up with tears, he was embarrassed and terrified to look at Daou. His eyes were shut so hard it pained him. He was even shaking out of fear.
“I'm sorry… I'm sorry…” he pleaded in a small voice, crying. His chest hurt, and his ears started buzzing. It was over, Daou was going to hate him and that was all he could think about.
“-ad... Road…” He was calling his name, Road finally noticed. Daou's voice was soft, sweet even, which surprised him. “Can you look at phi, please?” Road shook his head negatively. Daou pulled him again, turning him around until they were facing each other. One of his hands was on Road's lower back, the other was on his cheek, thumb stroking his cheekbone. “Road… please…” he begged. Road opened his eyes, surprised at the rasp in Daou's voice.
Daou’s skin was glowing, probably due to the facemask he used before sleeping, his features had gotten sharper, and his hair was in a buzz cut because of his current military service. He looked so rough and manly, so damn good. He had become even more irresistible, which only worsened his long-time crush on him. When his eyes fell on Daou’s cheeks, he noticed the blush on them, too. He was breathing fast, pupils dilated as he looked at him with utmost sweetness and something else.
“Is this…” he gulped down. “Is this why you can't sleep?” Road contemplated telling him it was all his fault for being so irresistible, that he had been holding up well enough before he’d gotten his hands all over his body. But he just nodded, fear apparent in his terrified face.
“P'Ou…” He managed to say in a tiny voice. A thousand thoughts piled up in his head, none of them positive. Daou pulled him against his body, and Road gasped as their crotches rubbed, both of them half hard, against each other. “Nhg…” he gulped down.
“There's nothing to be afraid of, baby…” he whispered over his temple, kissing it. Road bit his lower lip, tears falling down his face. Even in a situation like that, Daou was still trying to calm him down, still using pet names. Still putting him first and worrying about him. “Let phi take care of you… Can I?” Road gasped in surprise.
Out of all possible outcomes, he did not expect that to be the one. Best bet, he thought he’d get a nasty look, maybe a pitiful one. Worst one, Daou would throw him out of the room as soon as he found out. Yet, there he was, looking at him as if he was the most precious person in the world.
The fear and anxiety stopped crushing his heart so hard, and he nodded, closing his eyes again when he felt Daou's hand on his ass cheek, groping it. He arched his back involuntarily, heating up everywhere Daou touched him, everywhere he felt his eyes on him, his crotch rubbing against Daou's in the process.
He muffled a moan in his hand as he finally made eye contact with his phi. His stare was too intense, too much to handle. He felt so naked under it, as if Daou could see clearly into his soul. As if their souls were engaged in a conversation far beyond their physical bodies. Maybe he should tell him to stop. Maybe this had been a bad idea. Before he could say anything, Daou's hand took hold of both their dicks, still clothed in their pajamas, and rubbed them together, making him gasp for air.
“Phi…” he whispered in his own hand. Daou nodded, attentive as always, never stopping the pumping to his member.
“Yes, baby?” he answered back. Road gripped his shoulder with a hand, biting his lower lip to hold his voice down.
“Is this really okay?” he questioned, fearing the answer. Daou pulled one of Road’s hands away from his face, kissing it all over, and intertwined their fingers before he put them on their crotches, palming their heads in search of more pleasure.
“It’s all right, darling” he whispered as his hand slipped under Road’s shirt, warm and soft on his back, so eager to touch him skin to skin. He wanted to kiss him so badly, but Road was a bit all over the place, avoiding his lips, so his mouth went to the closest piece of skin he could reach, his neck.
Offroad was elated, to say the least. For a few seconds, his mind stopped running at a thousand miles a second, and he relaxed in the arms that kept him safe, enjoying the pleasing sensations he provoked in him. But before he could immerse himself in the pleasure, his mind went through another thousand possibilities as he felt Daou’s tongue against his carotid vein, devouring kisses to his neck.
Why was Daou doing this? Was he pitying him for the situation he was in? Was he just being helpful because of their work relationship? If so, why the kisses? And did he do that with all his friends? Was he always that generous with everyone? Was he really special to him, as he had told him before? If so, what did that mean? He hated his mind sometimes.
While Daou’s hand kept his own on their crotches, moving them painfully slow, he shared a stare with Road. His heartbeat rose at what he saw in them. Pure and consuming desire. Daou’s stare was making him melt into the bed. He was being touched, kissed and stared at by the person he liked most. He couldn’t bear it, being looked at like that.
“P'Ou… P'Ou…” he moaned his name again, tears at the corners of his eyes. Daou stopped kissing and licking his neck and locked eyes with him once more, a hint of worry amongst all the lust and longing. He was so attentive with him.
“Yes, baby?” Road had never heard that tone in his voice before. Low, raspy, needy, and yet so sweet. It made him shiver down to his toes, in the best way possible. It was too much, he couldn't do it like that, he was too embarrassed, afraid and anxious.
“I want to turn around” He pleaded, desire clouding his own mind. Daou nodded, letting him go for a split minute before his hand was back on his member, this time under his underwear, rubbing his own still clothed member against Road's ass.
Offroad knew he'd made the wrong decision then, when Daou lifted his shirt and, without stopping the pumping to his head, he proceeded to lick, suck and bite his left nipple. Adding that to the feeling of the bulging monster in between his cheeks, he thought he was going to die of pleasure. Even though the air conditioner was turned on, he started to feel too warm, his clothes were getting annoying, and he just wanted Daou to actually consume him without second thoughts. For a moment, he just wanted to be his, even if it meant never going back to what they were.
As if he could read his mind, Daou pushed down his pants to his knees, taking their shirts off, and he pushed down his own pants before he was back in between his cheeks, his member rubbing with Road’s as each of their hands pumped Road’s cock at a steady rhythm. Amongst all the moans and groans, the sounds of their bodies against each other, Road’s heart was about to combust.
“You ever did this with someone else?” Daou’s low voice questioned over his lobe, biting at his will. Road gasped at the speed of his hand on his crotch, as his tongue was now licking his neck. Every touch burnt in the most pleasurable way possible. He wanted to tell him to be careful, to not leave any marks. But he was too lost in pleasure to even keep that thought in his mind for more than a few seconds.
“N-no…” he confessed, sincerely, biting his lower lip to hold his moans. He felt Daou’s smile against his skin. It turned him on even more.
“Good…” he whispered, kissing his jawline.
Road was in a crusade. He was feeling so good, yet he was unable to enjoy it fully. He couldn’t stop thinking about what would Daou be thinking. Even after he said those sweet words with a smile, what if he thought he was a weirdo for not having experience? What if he started looking at him differently, in a bad way?
While his thoughts got the best of him again, Daou had gone from his nipple to leaving marks everywhere he could reach from the position he was in. He started rubbing harder against Road, pre-cum wetting their hands, biting his ear. When he couldn't hold it in any longer, he pulled Road closer and rubbed against him from behind, his cock in between Road's thighs, rubbing directly against the younger’s balls. One of his hands moved, his long fingers crawling into his mouth, toying with his tongue, as he moaned in his ear.
Road was going to explode of pleasure. He felt so full and at the same time, he wanted so much more. This was more than he had ever imagined. And they hadn't even gone all the way through. He shook away his thoughts, that was never happening.
“I don’t want anyone else to see you like this, baby” he whispered over his ear. Oh . “Ever” he kissed his forehead. Road opened his eyes in shock, feelings pilling up in his chest, his mind going blank at the meaning of those words. He was so close, and Daou’s words just pushed him on edge. “Road… Road…” he moaned as he bit his shoulder. Road felt the heat in the pit of his stomach increase even more at the sound of his voice. His anxious thoughts long lost and forgotten.
“P'Ou... P’Ou!“ he moaned. “I'm gonna… I feel so weird… phi... I'm gonna-” he managed to say. He no longer could focus on anything but the pleasure Daou was giving him.
“Come all you want, darling, phi will always take care of you” He moved upwards, butterfly kisses to his neck and jaw until he finally reached his mouth. He tried to lock eyes with Road to ask him, but Road was too high in his own bliss to focus, so he let it go for the second time.
When they both came in their hands, shaking and shivering against each other, Road finally felt the tension leave his body. The quiet in his mind lasted for a few minutes before the monster in his mind started mumbling. Now he had to worry about something else. He was too deep in his thoughts when he noticed Daou trying to lick his dirty hand.
“P'Ou!!” he frowned. “Don't!” Daou stopped all movement and locked eyes with him. He looked confused, eyes glowing with a mischievous shine. He was such a curious puppy under all the wolf skin.
“Okay, okay… next time then” He winked, heat creeping up Road's face again.
“What…?” He whispered.
“Next time I'll satisfy you more thank you can even imagine” he winked, nuzzling his cheek, his hand squeezing his ass-cheek. There, the wolf once more. Road bit his lower lip as Daou cleaned their hands with a few tissues. They needed to go wash their hands. Daou pulled his pants up and then did the same with Road’s, painfully slowly, fingers grazing his legs all the way up, before he lay down next to him. Offroad was blushing so hard, conscious of every inch of his body and his phi’s, he froze in place.
Road really needed to get out of the bed for a few minutes to clear up his mind, to not have his half naked body stuck to the cause of his woes. But Daou was holding him so warmly, being all soft and sweet, kissing his neck and face as they both calmed down, he couldn’t bear moving away from him. They locked eyes again and Road's landed on his lips.
He had a constant thought while it was happening; why was Daou not kissing him on the lips? Was that a boundary he wouldn’t cross? Was he one of those people who only kissed those they really liked or had feelings for? Was that a way to state that they were doing this just to ease up the tension? He sighed loudly. He wanted to kiss him so badly… Their eyes met, flickering between their lips and eyes.
“Road…” he breathed. “Can I…” he started, looking at his lips. Road blushed, nodding his head before he could even finish thinking about it. He wanted to answer verbally, but Daou was already devouring his mouth like there was no tomorrow.
Road was surprised by the suddenness, but the smile on his face was so wide as he continued being kissed, he forgot about all his anxious thoughts once more. He'd been anticipating it, he even contemplated doing it himself if his phi didn't, but there had been a thought in the back of his mind telling him that it was wrong. That if they kissed, there would be no going back. They could say the hand job was just friends helping each other out –as if anything they were doing or had done was normal amongst friends–, but kissing just made it real. Maybe in another context, it wouldn't mean much, but at that moment, kissing seemed the seal to a deal none of them had read.
That same thought vanished as Daou's tongue parted his lips and made of his mouth its new place.
Oh.
It felt so different from their first kiss. Granted they had been drunk, at a party, and it was barely a long peck to the lips, but it had been important for Road. And he hoped it had been the same for Daou. This time, Daou was pulling at his lower lip like he was the last meal on earth.
“I’ve been trying to kiss you all night, but you weren’t looking at me, so I couldn’t ask” he pecked his lips a few more times before he deepened the kiss once more. Those words alone had the power to start a fire in his chest.
What a stupid excuse, Road finally realized.
After all that they'd done, kissing was nothing. He surrounded him with his arms and let Daou kiss him until they were out of air. He was a bit uncomfortable in that position, but he was way too high in his own bliss to feel anything else.
“What are you thinking about?” Daou questioned, and before Road could spill the ramble of his thoughts, Daou looked at his hand. “Oh, cleaning, of course” he moved out of the bed, shirtless, leaving Road blushing and looking away. He was used to Daou walking around shirtless, but it just felt even more embarrassing then. Before he could say anything, he was being pulled to the bathroom. Road was shaking as Daou helped him clean his hands and also washed his face, kissing it all over. Road was only wearing his dirty underwear, pants long abandoned on the floor, but it seemed like he was the only one who could notice. Daou was acting so normal, as if he hadn’t ravaged his body a few minutes ago. “Do you want a clean underwear or are pajama pants enough?” Road blushed, nodding to whatever, and Daou left to bring him a clean pair of underwear, a pajama set and a kiss to his head before exiting and giving him some privacy. Alone in the bathroom, he took a deep breath and looked at his blushing face in the mirror. He was nervously shaking as he cleaned up and changed his clothes. He was so tired all of a sudden. When he got out of the bathroom, Daou had changed the dirty sheets. He was laying on the bed, waiting for him. “Hop on, baby” he patted the space next to him, and Road walked to him without even thinking. Daou walked out of the bed and into the bathroom, he changed his pajamas and walked right back to the bed.
Road watched as he lay down by his side, the place where he had been pleasured minutes ago. He was blushing so hard, confused and worried. Daou surrounded him as he always did, an arm under his head, the other on his waist. He was smiling so sweetly as he kissed his nose and forehead.
“Sweet dreams, darling” he whispered, and Road nodded in response, kissing his cheek as he usually did. He was grateful for Daou hadn’t asked anything, and behaved as normal as ever. As if what they had done hadn’t changed their friendship forever. As If, Road wasn’t terrified of what was to come next. Daou’s warm body heat and his soft hand stroking his waist was like an ocean of calm. Even with all his thoughts consuming his mind, he fell asleep in Daou’s arms.
<<------------>>
He woke up alone, only to see Daou was at the table putting their breakfast on plates.
“Good morning, baby” he smiled at him. “I got us breakfast, they had some of your favorites” he smiled sweetly. His hair was still wet and he’d changed his clothes. He was wearing a loose sleeveless shirt and some –very short– comfy shorts. He looked radiant, as if nothing had happened or changed between them. A sting of pain pierced through Road’s heart.
He shook his head and told himself that it was for the best. This was the way. He got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. He closed the door behind him and leaned his back on it.
No matter what he told himself, he wanted to cry his eyes out. For a moment, he thought he'd prefer it if Daou stopped their friendship over the situation in which he ignored what they did the night before. He shook his head, no, this was good.
This was good .
This was enough.
This was good .
He washed his mouth and when he got into the shower he noticed something on his chest. He washed up quickly and dried himself up before he finally could take a good look at himself in the mirror. He let out a loud gasp, blushing immediately after.
His chest was filled with hickeys and bites everywhere, from his lower side to his shoulders to his back. His nipples were hard, and sore, and he discovered the bite marks all over them, ranging from big to small, were the reason for their sudden sensitivity. Daou had marked him all over. He blushed so hard, tomatoes would be ashamed to stand next to him. He thanked the odds his phi had controlled himself and there were no marks on his neck. Maybe Daou also had…
“No.” he shut himself down. He took a deep breath, trying to calm down, he wore his underwear and only then noticed he hadn’t picked up a shirt. He sighed and walked out to get dressed. He was hungry and needed to fill his stomach to be able to think. The moment he left the bathroom, Daou, who was still walking around picking up their clothes, pulled him by his waist for a loud kiss on his cheek. He pecked his face for a few seconds before he picked a shirt and helped him wear it, grazing his skin with the tips of his fingers, before he threw an arm around his waist and walked with him to have breakfast.
Okay, maybe this was not good enough.
No.
It was definitely not enough.
Sitting next to each other, sharing a delicious meal, Road had to stop himself from tearing up. His needs got the best of him. A helping hand, he had become so clingy, yearning to have his phi all for himself. He wanted a kiss so bad, maybe hug Daou and cuddle until it was time for them to head out. He was so greedy, he shook his head.
“Everything okay, baby?” Hey, at least his pet name hadn't disappeared. That was a good sign. He felt a lump in his throat.
“Yeah… I'm just, happy you’re not mad at me…” he answered in a small voice. He bit his lower lip, taking a bite of his food later, embarrassed of his words.
“Why would I?” Daou put his fork on the table and focused his inquisitive eyes on him.
“It's just… ” he took a deep breath and locked eyes with him. “I’m sorry for last night, phi” he apologized, looking away. “I hope you can forgive me, and forget last night… It was embarrassing of me to ask you to do that, and I hope this doesn’t affect or change our relationship…” Daou didn’t say anything, so he looked up again, trying to lock eyes with him. “Can we still be like before?” he said in a tiny voice. Daou lifted a brow, confused.
He stood up, a hand running through his short hair, frustrated. Road stood up too, looking at the floor. He'd ruined it. He should have acted as if nothing. He should have forgotten it, just like Daou had done.
“It was the spur of the moment, I’m sorry for making you do that phi, but I hope you forget what happened, and we can go back to what we were” Road finally made eye contact with him. Daou opened his mouth to say something. “Please phi, I’m really sorry for what happened, please forgive me and let us forget it” he pleaded, holding Daou’s hand with all his might. His phi looked slightly upset at that, but he nodded at the end. Road was so desperate, he had to keep his eyes shut, waiting for an answer.
“If that’s what you want” He heard Daou's voice as he stroked his cheek. Road locked eyes with him, a half smile on his face. He was happy about the outcome. He really was. But deep, very deep down he wished, with all his might, that Daou would say something else. That he’d question his motives, his ways, his words. He would even take him sulking over whatever that answer had been.
But Daou didn’t say anything. He just nodded, patted his head and sat back down to have his food. Road followed him suit, sitting next to him, a mix of relief and anguish filling him.
Once they were done eating in a painfully silent ambiance, it was time to get to the filming site again. They picked their things, and minutes later they were in a van on their way to set. They smiled and joked as if nothing had happened, and yet, everyone saw through them.
“Did something happen between you two?” his manager asked him. Road looked up at her from his script.
“What?” he questioned. Daou was filming a scene a few meters away, while he practiced his next cue.
“You and Daou, why are you two acting so weird with each other? Did he sulk again?” she prompted.
“Nothing happened, we’re just tired” he smiled softly and went back to his cue sheets. Only he couldn’t focus on anything but the last conversation they had had. On the way, Daou’s eyes had lost their shine, he’d become serious, the smile not reaching his eyes, and he hadn’t laid his hands on him all day. Road thought he was just tired, maybe even still confused about what had happened the night before. But as the day went by and Daou’s hands and attention went everywhere else but to him, he figured something had changed, and not in the good way. Still, he gave it the benefit of doubt.
Road thought he’d be alright, it was just that day, he wasn’t sulking, and maybe he just needed to pull his thoughts together. But things became terribly worse as days went by. Daou didn’t give him so much as a smile outside their characters, maybe a pat to the head and a half-hearted hug, but nothing else. Not his usual kisses, not his sweet gazes and the clingy hands that were always on some part of his body. Nothing, not even the warmth of their hands clasped together. Road was dying on the inside. He hated it, hated every moment he spent with Daou without actually being with Daou.
He hated himself for that night, for the words he’d said, for stopping Daou mid his words and telling him to forget everything. In the blink of the eye, a week had gone by with nothing changing for the better. Daou had been even more distant than when they had just become friends. There was no more special treatment for him. If anything, he was being treated as someone he had no relationship with whatsoever. No more paying him attention, no more asking him for attention. No more holding his hand, driving him home or pulling him onto his lap even though the place was full of seats. Daou, sulky and pouty as he had always been, didn’t as much as show him an expression. Everything that made his days worthy, full and provided an escape from his tiredness and worries, had disappeared. The person he loved no longer treated him as if he were special. Daou, who made his days brighter and went to extreme lengths to make him smile, didn’t even look at him for more than a few seconds. The person who was always looking at him, who would always have his back, was no longer there. Even their Polaroid picture was no longer on the back of his phone case. Road’s heart was breaking into pieces slowly and steadily.
His worst fear had become real.
And now they were once more in that hotel room, together. One bed and two friends who weren’t longer acting as friends. Exhausted, they showered and had dinner together in silence, this time, from Road’s end.
Daou had been trying his best, for half an hour, to start a conversation with him, but Road was in his own head, anxious and scared. He had lost Daou’s special treatment because of his recklessness.
“Are you okay, Road?” Road finally heard. He looked up, locking eyes with him. He smiled, half-heartedly.
“Yeah…” Road answered, not at all convincing. Daou nodded, not very convinced either. When they were done eating, they got ready for bed. The room was too silent for Daou’s taste.
When they both lay down, on their right sides and a big distance between them, Road couldn’t but feel his tears fall down. On any other occasion, Daou’s body would be tangled with his. This time, he was keeping a distance from him, even though he could feel his warmth, there was a huge space between them. He hoped Doau was asleep and didn’t notice how heart-wrenching and hard he was crying. He tried hard to stop his sobs with a hand on his mouth as he curled on himself.
“Road?” He heard all of a sudden. He tried his best to hold his voice low as the tears were making his vision blurry.
“Hmm” he answered.
“Are you okay?” he nodded, not moving anymore, trying to push the tears away from his face.
“Yeah” he said, not very convincing. He felt Daou’s hand on his waist before the light next to him was turned on.
“Road, are you crying?” he asked, pulling him towards him. He turned him around and they faced each other. Road bit his lower lip, holding in his tears. “Baby…” he stroked his cheek, worry written all over his face. “What’s wrong? Did something happen? You’ve been looking down all day, are you not feeling well?” He looked so worried, it made Road’s heart hurt so much, even the pet name was lost on him.
“I’m okay, sorry, just tired…” he looked away. Daou sighed, a hand warm and soft against his cheek, the other gripping his hip.
“Road, baby, look at me” he made him lock eyes with him, a sweet look in his eyes. Road hiccuped in an attempt to stop himself from crying as he was stared at with something he couldn’t understand, but that filled him with so much warmth. He hated himself for everything that had happened. He wanted to go back to what they were, he wanted to be special to his phi. He wanted to be looked at with that sentiment forever. “What’s wrong? Let me help you” Road blushed, remembering how he’d said those same words that day a week ago, when he pleasured him so eagerly. He looked down again.
“I just… I miss you, phi” he let out. Daou gasped, surprised.
“I’m right next to you, all the time” he kissed his temple. Road’s defenses dropped, words coming out of him without second thoughts.
“You’ve been distant, and I’m worried it’s because of what happened last time, I ruined our friendship” he let out finally. Daou sighed, clearly frustrated, pulling him to his chest.
“There’s nothing wrong between us baby, we’re okay, just like before” he sighed, trying to convince him.
“We’re not! You’ve been avoiding me all week, you couldn’t even look at me or hold my hand, you haven’t been physical with me, you’ve been avoiding me and all my approaches…” he held in a cry. “You flinched when I tried to hug you…” he looked and sounded so dejected. Daou hugged him harder, biting his lower lip, trying his best not to tear up too.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t avoiding you on purpose, I just had to think about some things, I didn’t want you to feel bad or think our relationship has changed” he kissed his forehead again. His heart pained him when he thought about how he had hurt his feelings. The idea of being the reason behind his sadness broke him. “I’m sorry, baby, please don’t cry” Road held onto his arm, pulling him closer.
“Don’t apologize phi, it’s not all your fault either” he nuzzled his chest, holding him with both arms. He’d missed him crazily. Having him so close was like a dream after the horrible week he had had. “I just want you always close” he let out, biting his lower lip again, worried Daou would see through his words, that he’d see the real meaning behind them.
“I’m so sorry… I…” he let out a loud and frustrated sigh. When their eyes met, minutes later, Daou seemed to have decided on something, because neither his next words nor his deep stare wavered. “It’s okay baby, everything is going to be okay” he kissed his head, holding him against his chest. “I’m always here for you” Road felt a knot in his chest again. He wanted to tell him, to apologize for what he had said, to take back his words, he wanted to pull at him, he wanted to pull him against himself and kiss him senseless. He wanted Daou so bad, it was breaking him inside. “Everything will be okay, we just need to sleep now, and we can talk about it all once we’re rested” Road wanted to snap back and ask about what was there to talk about. What did he mean? But Daou looked so confident and relaxed, so sincere and reassuring, that Offroad could only nod in agreement. “Stop crying, please? Baby… it’ll be fine” he kissed his temple once more.
“Promise?” he asked in a tiny whine. Daou smiled, a smile Road hadn’t seen all week.
“Of course, baby, I promise” he smiled, kissing his face some more. Road started to relax against him. “Will you be able to sleep tonight, or should phi take care of you again?” Road was taken aback when he felt his hand on his ass cheek, the situation change confusing him overwhelmingly.
“W-what?” he said in a very high voice.
“Do you want phi…” he started, groping his ass, making him gasp and arch his back, as Daou licked his lips with a feline look in his eyes. Road gulped down. After the last week, he did not expect the situation to escalate to that level so fast. “... to make you feel good again?” he finished. Road didn’t have the time to even say a word, Daou’s mouth was on his neck, kissing all over it.
“Hmm… phi” he let out, holding his breath. Daou’s kisses moved from his neck to his chest, escalating from kisses to bites and suckles. Road whimpered, memories of what he’d done to his chest days ago filling his head. He hadn’t been horny, no. Not when he was so preoccupied with not receiving his phi’s attention and doting. But now, with the man touching him so seductively, he was feeling all the pent-up frustration build in his lower body. Daou was arousing him without much trying. He was being so sweet and soft, his hands were on his body, under his clothes once more, his tongue was teasing one of his nipples.
He kissed, bit and marked every inch of skin he could reach, Road’s nipples being tortured and bitten for minutes before he finally locked eyes with him. Road looked so out of it, but at the same time, there was tiredness written all over his face. Daou smiled softly, a peck to Road’s lips, making him open his eyes in surprise. He pecked his face some more, pulling his hand unbearably slow from under his clothes.
“I think it’s better if we go to sleep, baby” he stroked his face. Road smiled, even though his senses were all over the place. Daou’s heart melted at the sight of him. His eyes were two shiny half moons, the smile on his gorgeous glossy pink lips so wide it made him want to live at that moment forever.
He’d spent the worst week of his life, right in line with the time when he’d been drafted for the military, and he couldn’t even see his baby for three months straight during that.
During that week he had been thinking, while he avoided being touchy with him just in case he over did it and made him uncomfortable, it had killed him on the inside. He needed his daily dose of Offroad to have a good day. His hands and mouth itched to have him close, to touch and kiss and snuggle. He’d been living out of the memory of the night that he thought would be a new beginning for them. And now he could see a light in the shape of Road’s pretty eyes at the end of the tunnel. He was going to tell him. He was going to get him back.
“We’ll continue tomorrow” he slapped his ass lightly, making him gasp again, an expression on his pretty face he had never seen. An expression he’d cherish forever. One he’d never let anyone else see.
“Phi…” he said in a tiny voice. “I’m so tired” Road was suddenly so relaxed against his chest, as if all his worries had disappeared. He was anxious and curious about Daou’s words, but not worried. Something, deep inside him, reassured him if anything, their relationship would get just better.
“It’s alright baby, you can sleep now, phi will lull you in” he smiled, wide and so softly it melted Road’s heart. “Let’s talk about it tomorrow” he said again, a hand on Road’s cheek. Road lifted his head to kiss him on his chin and closed his eyes after moving back to lay on his right side, hugging his cold pillow.
“Good night, phi” he whispered.
“Sweet dreams, baby” Daou answered, turning off the light and holding Road with all his limbs, humming a song to his nape.
<<---------------------->>
The next morning, Road found himself in the same situation he had been a week before. He woke up alone, and went to take a shower, he found his chest filled with bites and marks, to which he flushed red and not even the shower made him relax. He walked out of the shower to find Daou sitting on the table, filling their plates with food. He greeted him with a soft sweet smile, and once Road was sat next to him, he patted his head and kissed his cheek. Just like he’d done a week before. Only this time, Road wouldn’t speak before time. He was going to listen. He was going to grip onto the small ounce of hope he was given the night before and wish for the best.
“Good morning, phi” he smiled at him, kissing his cheek back. Daou smiled, the dimple on the lower part of his cheek popping in greeting.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked. Road nodded, picking his fork and tasting his breakfast. He’d slept so well the whole night, even his dreams were filled with sweetness.
“You?” Daou nodded.
“Sleeping with you is the best medicine to being tired” he tilted his head. “And to any other thing, really…” Road blushed, chocking on his food. Daou patted his back, chuckling. “Careful, baby” he shook his head. Road looked away and continued eating. Daou stared at him for a few minutes, Offroad was overly adorable when he ate. His cheeks filled up like a chipmunk’s, and his eyes were half moons. He enjoyed his food so much, and Daou enjoyed watching him so much more.
They finished breakfast fairly fast, without barley as much as a word coming out from their mouths. Nonetheless, Daou hadn’t stopped his acts of service and physical touch, feeding Road and whipping his lips even though he was sure he had nothing on them. Patting his head, stroking his cheeks and even nuzzling his neck a few times. Daou cleaned up the table and sat back next to Road. He was fidgeting with his hands, looking away from him, seemingly preoccupied with his thoughts.
“Offroad” he called out. Road looked up at him. He looked the cutest with his black hair naturally falling over his forehead. Then again, he always looked absolutely adorable. A smile was enough to have Daou melting. Road was stunning in all ways possible. He was a fool for his smile and attention. He could spend hours a day just staring at him. He sighed. “We need to talk about what I said last night” Road gulped, nodding.
“What is it, phi?” even his voice tone, sweet and soft as always, sounded worried and anxious.
“First, what happened that night a week ago, it wasn’t your fault, you need to stop apologizing about that” he tucked some strands of hair behind his ear. Road pouted, blushing. He couldn’t handle being sat so close to him, so he stood up in an attempt to walk away. But Daou was fast and trapped him against the table. He shivered, blushing, as he registered the situation they were in. He looked at Daou's hands on his waist, reminiscing where they'd been that fated night and even the night before, how they had touched him and made him feel. How badly he wanted them to do that again.
“Wh-what do you mean?” He whispered.
“I mean, neither that night nor last night, you didn’t ask me to do anything, darling, I did. Remember? I asked if you wanted phi to help you, and then I did. So you don’t need to worry about that.” He stroked his face with his knuckles. Road nodded, avoiding his eyes. He was right on that.
“Still… I feel so bad, phi” he whispered in a small voice, his forehead resting against Daou’s chest. Daou stroked his back and kissed his head.
“There’s nothing to feel bad about, sweetheart” he sighed. Road locked eyes with him. There was no hatred or pity in his eyes. Maybe a glint of hurt, but no hate. There’s just worry and that tint of light he always had for him. “Listen to me” he started, but before he could say anything of substance, a knock on their door made them focus all their attention on it.
“Good morning guys, are you up? Are you ready? We need to get to the filming site on time.” It was one of their managers, Zai. They shared a glance. They were so close, Daou smelt like soap and felt so warm, and Road was equally excited and worried about what he had to say.
“We’re finishing breakfast” Daou answered, after walking painfully slowly away from him to open the door. The manager greeted them with a wave of her hand, and they returned the greeting. She looked around, and when she saw they had finished eating, she smiled and let out a breath of relief.
“Great, you’re done, and it seems you’re back to normal.” She pointed at their intertwined hands. Daou had walked back to him, pulling at his fingers. “We need to get ready. You have 15 minutes before we leave” and she walked out. Daou closed the door before he looked back at Road, he was still nervous and fidgety. He walked to him again, held him by his waist and made him lock eyes with him.
“Baby” Road blushed. That pet name had always made him all fuzzy on the inside, but it had gained a new power to make him blush and shiver like never before. “Please stop worrying about what happened before” he kissed his face all over. “We’re okay, you and I, nothing bad happened” he stroked his arms in an attempt to calm him down.
“But…” that meant that something had happened, even if it wasn’t bad. And judging by how he had been behaving towards him, it was something big.
“Listen,” he held him by his cheeks. “Tonight, after we finish work, well get together, here or in my house or anywhere” Road blushed, tilting his head. Another night alone with Daou after what had happened? He would be anxious all day. “I know I said we would talk now, but it seems like we have no time. I have so many things I want to tell you, and I need to say them today” he nuzzled his nose. “Nothing bad, I promise” he kissed his forehead again, reassuring him. Road nodded before Daou looked down at the wide neckline of the sleeveless shirt he was wearing. A wide smile plastered on his face as he saw some of the bite marks from the night before. He remembered the situation a week before, and how it had made him feel when he saw his marks on his body. “We’re going to have to do something about these, if we don’t want everyone to see them” he pointed, grazing them with his fingertips.
“This is your fault!” Road whimpered, blushing as he felt the tips of his fingers on his skin. “You took some liberties…” He said under his breath, looking away from him, prompting Daou to lift his face by his chin as he usually did.
“I should be apologizing, but you're just so pretty, and you looked so tasty I couldn't hold myself, I’m sorry baby” he liked his lips. Road frowned, masking the rush of feelings those words made him feel. Daou was not one bit sorry about it, he noticed.
“Idiot” he whispered, looking away. His anxiety kicked in again. Why couldn't Daou just tell him now? He really wouldn't be able to handle the whole day. Daou pulled him back, holding him by his face.
“Don’t worry about tonight, okay?” he kissed his head.
“Easy for you to say” he frowned again. Daou smiled.
“I’m serious, everything is going to be okay” he poked his nose and walked to the table to pick something sweet, pulling Road along with him. “Now let’s get some sugar in you so we can finish work as soon as possible” he winked.
As they finished eating, Road kept telling himself to not harbor any hope for that night. But as they got ready and left the hotel room hand in hand, fingers intertwined, he couldn’t but feel like everything would actually be okay.
Of course, as the anxious person he was, the voice at the back of his brain readied him for heartbreak. It didn’t matter how much Daou liked him, there was no reason for him to want to be something more than friends. And after the night before, there was only one more thing he could probably accept to be. So he came up with a proposition for him, just in case.
After hours of filming with little to no break, they finished their cues for the day. Daou took off the wig and left it in the makeshift dressing room they were using, before he turned around and shared a stare with him. Road was sitting next to him, packing his things up in his backpack. They had a few days off after that day's schedule to rest up, and Road couldn’t think about anything but what would happen that night. They were driven back to the hotel room so they could pick the rest of their belongings.
“Let’s shower and take a car home” he poked his cheek. Road nodded. “Want to shower together?” Road blushed hard, and shook his head, running away. Daou laughed and they took turns to shower. When they were ready, they picked up their bags and walked out to get into the company van. During the drive, Daou kept playing with his fingers, holding his hand for all the three hours it took them to get to their city. No one thought of it as weird, no one saw more to it than what it usually was, Road noticed. Zai just made a comment about how they’d made up and how happy she was about that because she really couldn’t stand it when they were sulking at each other.
He and Daou were the only ones aware of what had happened the night before, and that night a week ago. They were the only ones who knew their relationship had changed. Road tried to nap on the short trip, but he was too conscious of what was happening and what would probably happen that night. He couldn’t control his mind nor his heartbeat. And, although he would be more calm if Daou let go of his hand, he didn’t want to let go. What if it was the last time? What if he never got to be held like that again? He shivered in fear. As much as his rational self explained that he was not going to be thrown to the side, he was terrified at the possibility alone.
That was his worst nightmare.
The staff dropped them in front of Road’s apartment, where they were sure they would be alone to have that so-expected conversation.
They took the elevator in a very uncomfortable silence, although their hands were intertwined, and Road opened the door to let Daou in before closing the door behind them. They left their things on the side of the corridor and walked to the sofa.
“Do you want to change your clothes?” Road asked, fidgeting with his hands.
“You go first” Daou smiled. Road nodded, walking into the bathroom and walking out in his pajamas. Daou walked around the small apartment, turning on the air conditioner, and looking through the fridge to see if there was anything to do for dinner. He knew the place like the back of his hand. He picked a pair of pajamas and turned on music to make it less awkward. It was a soft tune, a song Offroad hadn’t heard before. Daou went to the bathroom next, changing into his comfortable clothes before walking out. Road smiled softly as Daou gave him some space on the couch when he noticed how nervous he was.
“Road, you don’t be so awkward” he tried to hold his hand, smiling softly, but Road flinched, so he kept his hands to himself. “Are you okay?” he questioned, frowning. Road nodded.
“I’m just…” he sighed. “I’m just worried about what you’re going to say” he sighed. “I want us to go back to how we were, but if we can’t… if you don’t want to, we can… try to be fuck buddies” he let out fast. Daou didn’t say anything for a few minutes, and Road looked at him. “We don’t have to be exclusive, of course, I just… don’t want to lose you, phi” he muttered, fidgeting with his fingers. So much for not speaking before Daou did. He bit his tongue. “You’re very special to me” he tried again.
“You’re not losing me” Daou sighed, shaking his head. Road was so easy to read when he was anxious, he just couldn’t have his walls up. “Not now, not ever…” That, and Daou had a PhD in reading him, in understanding each of his stares, his movements, even the change in his breathing. And at that moment, his whole body was screaming worry and anxiety.
“But… after what happened…” he took a deep breath, biting his lower lip in an attempt to stop his tears. Daou had enough. He held his cheeks in between his hands and locked eyes with him.
“Offroad, look at me.” Road held in his tears. “After what happened, I don’t want us to go back to be just friends or fuck-buddies, and especially, I do not want to share you with anyone. Ever.” He took a deep breath and looked at him with all the sweetness he could muster. “I want us to be more than friends, I want our partnership to be official in so many ways…” He pulled him by the waist, until their thighs were stuck to each other on the sofa. “I’ve been wishing for us to be more for a very long time. I’ve wanted you so badly for so long, every day has been torture for me. Watching you be touchy with others, not knowing if I had a special place in your heart. It’s been torture after torture.” Road blinked, not knowing if it was real, or he was daydreaming. “Avoiding your touch, and not having your attention this whole week, was the worst. It felt even worse than when I had to enlist. Because I had you so close, but I couldn’t even reach you without fearing that my approach would make you uncomfortable. When all I wanted was to kiss you crazy every time I looked at you.” His eyes moved from Road’s eyes to his lips. This was so much more than Road could have expected.
“Phi…” he managed to say in a confused voice.
“Listen to me, okay? I want… I want that night to be just the beginning of our every night, I want to be able to kiss you senseless without having to make up some stupid excuse for it, I want to say I love you in front of everyone and that you know that I mean it as more than just friends. I want to be yours, Road, and, most importantly, I want you to be all mine.” He kissed his temple. Road teared up, the lump in his throat dissipating, warmth spreading to his chest. “That’s what I wanted to tell you that morning, and today, baby” he smiled, expectant. Road had not expected that.
He took a deep breath and decided to move away from Daou’s embrace, overwhelmed by his own feelings and the confession he had received. Daou looked confused, worried, and anxious now. He was such an expressive person. And Road had had no hope that something like that would happen.
Okay, maybe he did, very deep down in his heart, he had a little hope Daou wanted him as badly as he did. The man did carry a picture of him in his phone case for the last few months. Everyone always told him he had feelings for him, from their friends to the LAZ1 members, from their staff to their fans. They all had seemed to see something he didn’t. And it’s not like Road had ever denied his feelings for Daou, he just said they were phi-nong with a smile and dismissed the comments, unable to deny feelings that made him, albeit worried and anxious, so happy and fulfilled.
But it had always been hard to trust that Daou felt the same for him. Maybe because he had an excuse for every one of his actions. He was just being protective because of Road’s naïveness. He was receiving special treatment because Daou had a soft spot for his nong. He liked to spend time with him because he wanted to teach him. He gave him all his attention because Road needed it to get better. An excuse for his words, for his actions, even for the way he looked at him. Yet, he had hope, every time he held his hand, or kissed his face, or hugged him like there was no tomorrow. He hoped there was more. And he couldn't be any happier for not losing that snippet of hope. If not for it, he wouldn’t be in that room with him at that moment.
“I was so worried you would hate me for that night” he looked at Daou, who’d gotten up and was a few steps away from him. He was standing there, awaiting a response, tense and worried. Road smiled and hugged him tight, arms surrounding his shoulders, pulling Daou’s head to his neck. He wanted to say so many things, highlight so many moments, but the first thing to come out of his mouth was a simple: “I like you too, phi.” Daou's face shone in joy before he held his face in between his hands and gave him a deep, slow kiss. Road felt his heart beat in every inch of his body. They’d kissed before, sure, but this time, with the reassurance of what it meant, he felt like he was melting. It felt like it was the first time.
“I like you so, so much, baby” he let out a breath against his lips, pulling his lower lip in between his. When they made eye contact, Daou felt his heart grow in size at the sight of him, so disheveled and pretty.
“I like you too, P'Ou, so much” Road smiled softly, when he could finally take a breath. He knew his face was blushing hard, he could feel it heated, wet with his tears and the kisses to his face. The tears made his vision blurry, but he'd never felt as happy and at ease as he did at that moment. “I want you to be mine too” he smiled widely. Daou wiped the tears off his cheeks and pulled him in for another devouring kiss that left him breathless.
“Will you… will you be my boyfriend then?” he questioned, worry apparent in his eyes. Road held in a smile, Daou looked at him with the sweetest puppy eyes. He looked so confident a few minutes ago, but there he was, the side of him Road knew like no one. The side that had melted his heart into a puddle and made him fall so deep for him. Daou was a protector, and a guardian, but he also was the softest, most kind-hearted person he knew. Sensitive to his own feelings and the people who were important to him, sensitive to Road. There was no memory in which happiness didn’t fill him up when related to Daou, even when he sulked about the littlest things, he made him happy. If he made him that happy when he thought his feelings weren’t reciprocated, how much happier could he be now that he knew he liked him back?
“What do you think?” he tilted his head. Expressive as he had always been, Daou showed all his emotions in his face; confusion, worry, expectancy. Road loved teasing him until he sulked, but at that moment he was just too happy to play any games. “Of course, I want to be your boyfriend” he blushed. Daou’s face lighted up in joy before he launched another kissing attack towards his face.
“My baby, mine, my darling…” Daou chanted over his forehead, softly swaying them in their place. Road smiled, eyes shut as he cried over Daou's shoulder, relieved. Happy tears. Daou kept swaying them and kissing his neck until Road finally calmed down and his tears stopped. They looked at each other again, smiles wide and cheeks blushing. “My boyfriend” he said, again and again, until Road started laughing loudly.
“Stop” he smiled, looking away. Daou pulled him until he locked eyes with him again. He was sulking.
“I was nervous all day, worried you wouldn’t feel the same, and when you started saying that, I thought you didn’t like me back” he pouted. Road smiled. Daou was such a baby. His needy baby.
“I’m sorry, I was worried you didn’t like me the same, that you’d be creeped out by what happened that night” he looked over Daou’s shoulder.
“I was the one who touched you” he groped his ass. Road gasped in surprise and hit him in the chest.
“Stop” he blushed. “Still, I got like that because of you, so I thought the worst” he hugged him again, arms surrounding his shoulders. “I’m glad it didn’t go like that” he smiled, pecking his lips. Daou stopped pouting. “I’m very happy, phi” he muttered softly.
“I’m happier, sweetheart” Road blushed. Daou was so cheesy. “Can you say it?”
“What?”
“Boyfriend, say I’m your boyfriend” Daou gave him the puppy eyes again. Road smiled and shook his head. Daou frowned. “Why? Please, please, please… I want to hear it, even if it’s just once!” he was such a sulky pup. Road liked him so much.
“You’re so childish and sulky, phi, will you stop frowning and pouting and get us something to eat?” he tilted his head. Daou frowned at first, and then proceeded to lick his lips with wicked playfulness in his eyes. Road gulped down when he felt his grip tighten on his waist.
“I have my meal right here” he smiled cheekily, caging him against his own body. Road blushed and walked away from his arms.
“Idiot” he shook his head and picked his phone to order some delivery food for the night. As he talked on the phone, Daou surrounded him from behind, kissing his neck and shoulders, Road’s hand petting his head.
“Half an hour is time enough for us to do so many things” he whispered over his ear. Road blushed, and pushed his chest.
“Shut up” he got away from him, giggling. He was so nervous, as if last night hadn’t happened. Even though the air conditioner was on, he’d sweated again so much out of nervousness and worry. “I’m going to shower again” he pointed at him when Daou smirked. “No, you can’t join me!” he frowned before he could even say anything, blushing and closing the door behind him.
Daou sat on the sofa, a smile widely plastered on his face as he squeezed a pillow with arms and legs. He was so happy, he felt like he was going to explode. After almost a year trying to woo the boy he liked at first sight, he was now his boyfriend. His boyfriend who he could kiss and hug and cuddle. His baby, who liked him back.
He was daydreaming about him when Road opened the door to the bathroom and came out in another pair of silky, purplish pajamas. He was so adorable, Daou couldn’t hold himself and walked closer to hold him.
“P’Ou?!” he let out a surprised scream as he was lifted from the floor. “What is it?” he put the towel he was using to dry his hair over his shoulders and hugged his boyfriend when he could finally touch the ground. He was finally relaxed.
“You’re just so pretty” he sighed, kissing his head. “So beautiful” Road laughed softly, poking his cheek.
“Go take a shower before the food gets here” he pecked his cheek. “I’ll put on a movie” he winked and Daou smiled, nodding to him.
“Whatever my baby says” he sighed, enamored. Road blushed again and hit him with the towel. Daou laughed, deep and loud and happy.
It was such a pleasure to hear him laugh like that. To know he was the reason Daou had that shine in his eyes, on his face. To know he had the love of the greatest person he knew.
Daou came out of the shower fairly faster than expected, cuddling him on the sofa as they discussed if they should start the movie before the dinner got there. To no one's surprise, Daou had other plans of what they could do as they waited for their food.
He pulled him onto his lap, tickling him at first, drunken in his laughter and sweet face, before he couldn’t hold himself anymore, and he started kissing him breathless again. They spent the rest of the fifteen minutes before the food got there making out with each other. They kissed and kissed until breathing was a must.
Road looked absolutely out of the world. He was blushing so hard, eyes half-closed and lips so red and glossy, Daou wanted to consume him whole. His eyes were half moons again, he looked like he was tipsy and in another world. Daou stroked his cheeks, staring at him intensely, kissing his face and lips until they heard the doorbell ringing.
“Phi…” Road managed to say between kisses. “P’Ou…” he put a hand over his mouth, stopping him from kissing him anymore. “The door, phi… I think the food is here” he was in a daze. Daou nodded, kissing the palm of his hand.
“I’ll get it” he kissed his nose. Road was adorable as he nodded, letting Daou manhandle and sit him on the sofa. He got their food, and they had dinner, sitting across from each other at the small coffee table Road had in his living room.
When they finished, they cuddled on the sofa, legs intertwined as Road played with Daou’s hair. He was laying with his head on his chest, hands on his sides. Between Road’s soft hands, the soft calming tune of his heartbeat and how tired he was, he fell asleep on his boyfriend’s chest. Road didn’t even try to wake him. He turned off the TV, pulled the sheet he had laying on the other sofa, and cuddled his boyfriend to sleep.
Even though they woke up sore in the morning, he found himself in bed, with his boyfriend all over him still, but no longer uncomfortable in the sofa. Daou woke up a few minutes later, kissing his jaw and hiding his face in his neck. That’s how they usually woke up to each other, kisses included, and yet it felt totally different. The idea of waking up feeling like that every morning filled him with tears. He couldn’t be happier.
He’d never felt as safe, comfortable and joyous as he did at that moment as his boyfriend looked at him with his sleepy hair, half-closed eyes and radiant smile. He looked so sweet, and he held him so softly, the tears fell down his cheeks as he pulled at him for a kiss. He wished nothing but for their mornings to be always like that.
<<-------------------------->>
Time went by quickly as their work multiplied, and yet, they couldn’t be happier. Honeymoon phase, they called it. They could spend the day being lovely with the excuse of the series, and no one batted an eye if they were caught kissing, as long as one of them had the cue sheet with them. So they took advantage of that, kissing in front of everyone as the script demanded and even when it didn’t. They’d become even more touchy, hands on each other at all given time, so needy of one another. Not like they hadn’t been tactile with each other before dating, if anything, they had become touchy right after their first meeting. Even with the COVID regulations and the masks, they found themselves patting each other, holding hands, and even hugging. The more time they spent together, the more tactile and touchy they became. Hugging went from a way to show each other how proud they were of their progress, to being just something they had to do, to encourage each other, so they could be at peace. The same happened to holding hands, to the pecks on each other’s faces and bodies occasionally, to having to touch each other to feel at ease. It was the main reason people always commented about them looking like a couple. And now that they were actually dating? Their skinship was off the charts. Their hands were everywhere on each other, all the time. Which, no one was even rattled about, it was just Daou and Offroad being the best friends they were. It was surprising for first-timers, but after a while, it was just the usual.
They hadn’t been able to take the next step in their intimate relationship, not even jacking each other off had been a possibility. Not like any one of them had tried to initiate, though. It was as if they were trying to hold on as much as possible. Their schedules were packed and the little moments they had to spend together, they rested as much as possible.
Finally, and after a tortuous long month, the day of the last filming arrived. As their relationship developed, Daou became even lovelier and sweeter if possible, and Road was always on the edge to confess his love for him. Because he had been in love with him for a long time now, and their time as a couple only reassured his feelings even more. He’d been thinking of the way, maybe he’d make them a romantic dinner and take the chance to let him know all about his very deep and real feelings.
At around 3 am, after filming the last cue, showering and getting changed, Daou told him to wait because he had a surprise for him. When they were done and everyone was cleaning up their station, Daou ran to their manager to pick something from his backpack. They walked away from all the commotion as the rest of the staff finished picking up everything so they could go home, their manager the only one behind them. Zai started filming, flashing a light at the bag Daou was carrying. Road looked at the brand name on it, a very expensive one. He was a bit confused, what did Daou buy? When Daou finally showed him the small squared box, excited and trembling, his heart started to beat at an inhumane speed. There was no way it was what he was thinking…
“It’s a ring, a friendship ring if you may, a gift to show you how much I appreciate our friendship and partnership, and because the filming is over, I’m worried we’ll part ways, so it’s also a reminder of how much I will always support you. For you to know that I’ll always be there for you, phi is always right here for you whatever you need and whenever you need me.” He was smiling so wide and softly. Road felt like crying at any moment. As if his boyfriend couldn’t get any more sweet, romantic and cheesy, he pulled him in for an engulfing hug and whispered in his ear. “I love you so much, you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me” he chuckled. Road felt his heart skip a few beats at the confession as he hugged him back, face hiding in his chest, hands spread over his wide back. He let out a high-pitched little scream as Daou put the ring on his ring finger, excited. Daou walked back and forth, excited and nervous and fidgety, while Road looked at the band with shiny little stone in his finger, unable to utter a word. Had he been dreaming? Was he still? Because it made no sense, his boyfriend had just put a ring on his ring finger, a very expensive one, and confessed he loved him deeply and not just liked him. He felt his heart about to escape his rib cage at how absolutely hard it hammered against it. He never thought he could feel that happy, that in love and infatuated by someone, someone who loved him just as much, who was totally and fully committed to him, to his happiness. He had been so lucky to have found that kind of love, it made his legs wobble as he stared at the band. Their manager was screaming as she filmed their reactions. His mind went blank for a moment, thoughts pilling in his head as he looked at his very nervous and excited boyfriend walk around trying to calm down. His boyfriend, who had just confessed his love to him, who had put a ring on his finger, who walked towards him again, more relaxed. As he walked towards him, Road felt his tears falling down his cheeks like waterfalls.
Their equally excited manager left them alone a few minutes later, when they hugged again, so very intimately, and started whispering to each other, to go show the others what she had filmed.
“Hey, can I post this?” she asked, before she was too far away. Daou nodded, holding Road against his neck.
“Please do” he smiled cheekily and kissed his boyfriend’s neck once they were left alone. Road giggled and looked at him when they were finally alone, tears rolling down his cheeks. Did happiness always feel like that? He locked eyes with him, a smile so wide on his lips it hurt his cheeks. Daou seemed enchanted by it.
“I love you a lot too, phi” he gave him a quick peck.
“I love you so much more, you have no idea” he sighed relieved, and kissed him back, holding him against his chest, a hand on the small of his waist, the other pushing his nape so he could kiss him deeper, so that they could only taste each other in their mouths. Daou started tearing up too, nervousness disappearing, and he felt overcome by happiness as they made out for a while. “God, I love you so much” he whispered against his mouth, pecking him for a while.
“Enough phi, what if someone sees us…” Road pushed him away from his mouth, breathing heavily as he felt his face heated. Daou looked around and pecked him once more before pulling his hand, fingers intertwined.
“We should go home then” he squeezed his hand. Road nodded, blushing as Daou pulled him and told their staff they were leaving first. He was so mesmerized looking at the ring in this finger, he didn’t even notice how fast they were moving. One moment they were kissing and hugging, in the middle of the street where they had been filming, the next one they were in Daou’s apartment, making out as soon as the door closed behind them. They kissed like they had been hungry for each other, as if they were the last glass of water in the desert.
“Phi… wait… phi…” Road tried to stop him. Daou had thrown their things in the floor, and pinned him against the door, devouring him. He was kissing him so deep and messy, his hands were already under his shirt, grabbing and groping, pushing it up so he could take it off of him.
“Yes, baby?” he whispered in the crook of his neck, kissing and licking. Road pushed his face away from his neck, and held it in his hands. He knew that night was going to be the night, so he wanted it to be as perfect as possible.
“I need another shower…” Daou smiled and shook his head, licking one of Road’s fingers, the one he could reach.
“I don’t mind, do you?” he kissed his nose and his cheek. Road smiled and shook his head, now that they had finally reached that point. “Good, we’re going to get dirty and sweaty anyway” he smirked, to which Road rolled his eyes, blushing harder. Daou’s mouth went back to his own as he started to get rid of both their clothes. They walked around the hall, clothes scattered around the living room, hands on each other’s body, before Daou picked him up and carried him to the bedroom. They were in their underwear, Daou’s mouth was in the crook of his neck, hands torturing his chest, making him moan on the bed. He rubbed against him, their crotches pushing against the other, Daou pressing against him as he devoured his mouth again.
Road was shaking out of a mix of desire and excitement. He had been so frustrated, waiting for the time they would finally take the step. He didn’t expect it to be right after receiving the best surprise of his life. He was so happy he couldn’t believe it.
Daou pressed his nipples in between his fingers, drinking his moans as he kissed him deep. His mouth moved downwards, to bite and kiss and mark his chest, biting his nipple until he let out another high-pitched scream. Daou locked eyes with him, he was a messy, pretty, blushed beauty.
“Not on my chest, phi…” he muttered.
“Why?” his tongue still toying with his nipple.
“It’s hard to hide them…” he managed to utter in between the moans.
“It’s okay, I want everyone to see them…” Road frowned like the little kitten he was. “Okay, okay, sorry…” he chuckled, kissing him. “How about places others can’t see?” he stroked his waist, groping his ass swiftly, making him gasp. “Places only phi can see?” he raised a brow. Road stroked his arm, and pulled his face for a sweet kiss.
“That, we can do” he chuckled when his phi tickled him before he went back to torturing his nipples. Road’s hands were all over his body, stroking his shoulders, his neck, pulling his short hair. He just wanted to touch him back.
Daou’s kisses went even lower, to his abs and v line, a hand slipping inside his underwear before he ripped them off of him. A naked Offroad was a dream come true. He had the prettiest body lines: a tiny waist he could fit in his hands, long hairless legs, smooth white skin, muscles and beauty for days. Even his cock was pretty, which was just cruel at that rate.
“It’s unfair” he sighed, kissing his v line, blowing on his cock.
“Phi… phi…” he sighed. “What is?” he managed to utter.
“You being so damn pretty, even here” he stroked him, two fingers on the base, his thumb on the tip. “Phi thinks it’s pretty unfair” he bit his lower abdomen. “But… I’m so happy I’m the one who can see you like this, who can have you like this…” Road bit his hand to hold onto his moans, Daou’s kisses and bites making his hard-on grow in between his fingers.
“Phi… it’s unfair…” Daou raised up from where he was kissing and marking his thigh and looked at him.
“What is, darling?”
“I want to touch you too…” he pulled his head and stroked his cheek. “Take them off, phi…” he pulled at the elastic of his boxers. Daou smiled mischievously.
“You take it off, baby…” he nudged. Road smiled and sat on the bed. Daou sat too, legs stretched on the bed, pulling his boyfriend to sit on his lap. He held onto Daou’s shoulders and kissed him first, before he pulled the underwear and threw it to the floor.
“Done” he smiled, embarrassed at the nakedness and neediness he could feel in his own voice. Daou held his waist and pulled him over until their hard-ons rubbed together, both of them moaning at the touch. “I want to leave my marks too” he gave him a sweet look. Daou nodded, ever so excited about the idea. He’d wear those marks like badges of honor. He was enchanted by the idea of Road being possessive over him.
“Wherever you want, darling” he smiled, smitten by the way Road looked all flushed, naked on his lap. Road launched himself over his body, kisses, licks, and hickeys everywhere he could reach but making sure they wouldn’t be visible to others. Daou’s soft moans were only an encouragement, so he went as low as to kiss and mark his crotch area, touching his cock, thoughts pilling up in his mind as to if he should put it in his mouth or not. Daou pulled him up to kiss him before he turned them around, pinning Road against the bed as he stroked his waist. Road was a bit confused, had he done something wrong? He was worried, his boyfriend had been moaning all along, so it couldn’t have been that bad, right?
“Have you ever done it with a man before?” Daou whispered against his ear, pulling him away from his thoughts. Road locked eyes with him and shook his head. Daou was both his first real love and the first time he had developed feelings for a man. But even though he hadn’t done it, he had watched and read enough to be prepared. As a matter of fact, he’d taken it a step further from the theory. “Are you afraid?” Daou was such a worrywart…
Oh .
He finally realized what was going on, all the jokes, giggles, and tickles. Daou was trying to make it as easy and sweet as possible. He was trying to ease his nerves, he was trying to make their first time as memorable and nice as he could. Road felt his chest even warmer, his boyfriend was such a romantic sweetheart. He shook his head as an answer, filled with a buzzing sensation.
“I’m fine phi, I’m very prepared for everything that’s to come” he winked, making his boyfriend blush and chuckle. He was so sweet, it filled his heart with love.
“You’re such a menace” he shook his head before he kissed him. Road giggled in the middle of the kiss, his body heating at every touch of Daou’s hands. He always felt so safe with him. Even though he had been pondering about how their first time would feel, how he’d need to behave, and what he’d needed to do and say, anxiety had consumed him for weeks, and yet, at that moment, filled with desire and love, he felt nothing but happy to be with the person he loved so much. The person that worried more about him being comfortable and ready than his own neediness.
“Was I good?” he asked, to which Daou nodded with a satisfied smile.
“Very much so” he giggled, hands on Road’s ass, kneading and spreading his cheeks. Road chuckled, loving the compliment. “It’s my turn to put my skills to test” he bit his lower lip. Road nodded, smiling softly as he stroked his head. He pulled the lube from the nightstand and a pair of condoms under his boyfriend’s very shiny and curious eyes. “If you want me to stop, you just have to tell me, baby” he kissed his lips before making his way down, kisses and bites and hickeys. He pecked the tip of his cock, making him groan as they locked eyes.
Road gasped, biting his lower lip. It was an incredible view, having Daou in between his legs, making him moan and groan, with his fingers pulling at his short hair, pushing him down on his member, biting his lip to lower the noise. Daou’s tongue made its way from the tip of his cock to the bottom, he put a pillow under his lower back as he raised him by his ass and licked his rim, making him shiver. Road gasped, surprised and aroused beyond his senses.
“Phi… P’Ou!” he pulled him away. Daou locked eyes with him. “Don’t do that, that’s dirty!” He was blushing so hard, he could feel the heat coming off his body. Daou was doing something so dangerously sexy, he had never thought he’d get that treatment.
“What do you mean?” he smirked. “You’re delicious everywhere, baby” the glint in his eyes, the hunger of a wolf who was about to eat after waiting for far too long. Road gulped down, he was going to be devoured, and he wanted it so bad it was almost embarrassing. “Can you turn around for phi?” he tilted his head. Road nodded, getting on his belly, a pillow under his head, gripping it with both arms and hands, the other under his belly. Daou raised his legs until he was on his knees, Road was so embarrassed that he closed his eyes, unable to even think about the position he was in. His boyfriend groped his ass some more, bites and kisses to his cheeks, places only he’d be able to see. “Now, let me take a deeper taste” he smirked before the tip of his tongue made its way through his rim, making him bury his head down on the pillow, arching his back in pleasure, gripping the pillow with all his strength. Daou kept going, thrusting his tongue in and out, his left hand working his member, the other squeezing his ass.
“P’Ou! P’Ou!” Road felt all the pent-up tension and frustration of the last few months in his lower area, so ready to burst.
“It’s alright, darling, you can cum” he bit his inner thigh, marking them swiftly.
“No, phi… I don’t wanna…” he looked back at him, tears at the corners of his eyes. Daou smiled and nodded, who was he to go against his lovely boyfriend’s wishes?
“As you wish darling” He turned him around, kissing his clean shaved legs with utmost care, from his thin ankles to his thighs. He was such a doll, pretty everywhere, from his hair to his toes. Daou sighed, aroused and infatuated, and picked the lube bottle, making Road bite his lower lip in expectation. He was trying his best not to burst at any moment, trying not to jump the man before him. Daou looked so hot, all concentrated, naked, and hard. He was all his, it was all for him. Daou spilled a bit on his fingers and lifted Road’s leg up, resting it on his shoulder, groping his ass with his free hand. “It’s a bit cold, don’t be surprised” he warned. Road nodded, expectant and smiling, grabbing the sheets harder. He felt Daou’s finger against his rim and held in a breath. “I’m going in, love” The tip of his finger was so cold and wet, yet his hands were so soft and delicate against his body. Daou might have been a rough player, but his hands were always soft on his body. Even when he manhandled him, he did it with caution. Always careful, like he was the most delicate flower, always treating him with all the love he could muster.
The first digit made it inside of him with quite the ease. That had his boyfriend frowning in confusion.
“Road?” he questioned, raising a brow and locking eyes with him. Road smiled that full toothed innocent smile of his that drove him to his knees. “What did you do?” he giggled, extremely happy as he understood his words from before. Road looked even happier at how he had reacted.
“I’ve been looking forward to this since the day you asked me out, so I just got myself prepared, in case it happened” he shrugged his shoulders. His boyfriend let out a long sigh of desperation and launched a kiss attack on him that made him giggle and groan against Daou’s mouth. His phi’s fingers made their way back to his rim, and he let out a high moan in Daou’s lips when two of them made their way inside with ease at the same time. He’d thought about Daou’s long thick fingers inside him while he’d prepared himself even that day, but the truth was, his expectation had been nothing similar to what those two digits were making him feel at that moment.
“Phi…” he pushed his head back, gripping his phi’s shoulders. Daou was just looking at him, mesmerized, a smile on his face and a mix of love and plain lust in his eyes.
“Yes, baby?” he whispered in a sultry voice, kissing his neck and shoulders.
“Your fingers… phi…” Daou proceeded to open them as he observed every expression on his pretty face. Road’s hands fell on the bed. He was gripping the sheets so hard the veins on his arms showed. “...so… deep” he gasped, closing his eyes. Daou was enchanted by him.
“Deeper than your own have reached?” he nuzzled his jaw, his thumb pushing at his balls. Road nodded with his head, biting his lower lip. Daou kept hitting his sweet spot without stopping, in slow and circular motions, pushing against his sweet button non-stop.
“Phi… phi…” Daou smiled, kissing him, pulling his lower lip from in between his own teeth.
“Don’t torture your pretty lips baby, you can bite me if you want…” he kissed him deep again. “Although I would rather you moaned loud and clear for everyone to hear, so they know who you belong to” he kissed him again as a third lubricated finger made its way inside of him. The look in his eyes was so otherworldly, Daou had to bite his own lips to stop the absolutely embarrassing sound he was about to let out. “My God, you’re absolutely unreal” he kissed him deep and slow, his fingers picking up their pace as he pleasured him beyond reason.
Road wanted to tell him to stop, that he was too close to his climax again, but he didn’t have the chance when Daou’s fingers moved fast and steadily enough to render him speechless. He came over his stomach, shaking and trembling, moaning in Daou’s mouth as his boyfriend kissed him breathless.
“Phi…” he sighed, trying to calm down as he clawed at Daou’s back, tears falling over his face. It took him a few minutes to finally calm down while his boyfriend kissed him sweetly, pulling his fingers out of him. “Not fair…” he pouted, pulling Daou so he could kiss him some more. Daou smiled, pulling a wipe from the nightstand and cleaning his belly, his baby was a clean freak, and he knew to keep him as clean as possible. When he finished cleaning him up, he kissed his abs some more before he put the condom and the lubricant on.
“What’s not fair, darling?” he pecked his face.
“I came all alone” he complained, his body finally not trembling anymore. Daou raised a brow, stroking his sides.
“The night is long baby, you can repay me later” he kissed his nose. “Now, are you ready?” Daou looked at him with expectation as Road nodded. “Let phi know if you’re uncomfortable, or if you want me to stop, at any moment, okay?” Road smiled and nodded, pulling him for a kiss.
“I’m ready phi, don’t worry” he smiled softly. Daou nodded, and moved slowly to thrust into him. Road’s eyes went blank for a moment, which made him stop in his tracks. He had expected that, but even so, his body reacted by spasming senseless.
“Baby?” Daou whispered, worried, kissing his temples. “Are you okay?” Road opened his tear-filled eyes and nodded.
“Keep… going, phi…” he said in a hoarse voice. Daou gave him a worried look. “...please…” he nudged, so his boyfriend continued until he bottomed out. Road let out a gasp as they locked eyes. Lust, love, worry. He was so sweet, his boyfriend. Daou pulled him up and kissed him slow and steady, soft strokes to his arms and his sides in an attempt to help him relax. Even more kisses to his neck, his shoulders, and his chest. He bit his nipple, trying to move his attention away from his bottom, making him gasp.
Road was tense and in pain, it was his first time, and it hurt to take all of him, that, and Daou wasn’t really on the average side of the scale. It was uncomfortable and unknown, to his body and to his mind, but he really wanted to go through with it, because he knew he’d find pleasure soon. It was piercing, the pain, as if thunder had struck him in half, but with Daou’s sweet kisses, words and tender caresses, the pain slowly subsided as time passed, and he relaxed under him. Daou was kissing his forehead, so he held his nape, kissing his chin to get his attention.
“P’Ou…” Daou kissed him, pulling at his lip, tongues fighting and fitting together. “I’m fine… you can… you can move…” both hands held his nape, nails gripping his scalp.
“Sure, babe?” he whispered into his ear, voice hoarse and needy. Road smiled, nodding before pulling him for a kiss. He could see it in the frown in his forehead, he was holding on to dear life; his shoulders were tense, and he was sweating so much. He looked so good, blushing and grunting as he held himself to not hurt him, it only turned Road on even more. He was enjoying the care and the delicacy, but he just wanted his boyfriend to fuck him stupid already.
“Please… yes…” he said softly. Daou moved, slow and steady thrusts that made his boyfriend gasp for air against his lips. Road smiled. Okay, now they were playing.
“You drive me crazy, your voice, your face, you, all of you…” his thrusts caught up a bit of speed, and Road’s moans became louder, higher. He was slowly losing his senses to the pleasure, pain long forgotten.
“Phi… P’Ou…” he kept moaning his name, Daou’s mouth made it to his nipple again, two fingers in Road’s mouth, toying with his tongue, his free hand rubbing Road’s long-abandoned cock.
“I love you, baby…” he kept chanting against his chest, biting and kissing. Road pulled his hair again, so he lifted his head to lock eyes with him. The way he looked at him made him lose his sanity. His thrusts picked up a faster rhythm, until he found his sweet spot again and made him cry in pleasure. “When you look at me like this, I think I might go crazy” he stroked his lower lip with his thumb. “It’s such a pretty stare, your gorgeous eyes make me feel like I’m the center of the world” he pressed his thumb against the tip of his tongue at the same rhythm as his thrusts. Road looked absolutely stunning, all disheveled and senseless, sweat and tears of pleasure all over his gorgeous face. “I feel like the world has stopped moving and there’s only you, looking at me with the stars gathered in your eyes” he sighed, thrusting non-stop, mesmerized at his eyes and the pleasure he could see in them, all over his face. “It’s a look that makes me feel invincible, and mostly…” he smiled. “It makes me want to eat you whole” he pulled at his lip with his thumb again.
“Phi…” he sighed, licking the tip of his finger.
“I want you to look at me like that all the time, but I’m scared I might lose my senses and jump you even when there’s people around” he confessed. Road smiled, looking at him intensely. “See, you’re doing it again” he sighed, groping his thigh.
“Maybe I want you to eat me” he tilted his head, eyes glistening in lust. Daou choked. His boyfriend was a siren in disguise.
“You’re such a little devil…” he kissed him. “...my little devil” he thrust harder, making Road’s eyes roll back as he kissed him again. “I’m going to make you feel really good, baby” he promised, kissing him as his thrusts picked a faster rhythm. Road gripped him harder, nails clawing at his back and shoulders as he moaned louder and louder, losing even more of his senses to the pleasure. Time went by at a speed he couldn’t even fathom. Daou was hitting right in that spot, again and again without stopping, not giving him any time to breathe or think. It was as if they were in a trance, moving in unison, connected so deep no one could tell where one started and the other began. Road could feel it in the tips of his fingers, his climax so close once more, his whole body started buzzing, his legs were giving up from their position surrounding Daou’s waist, his toes curled and his back arched before he spilled in between their bodies, strength finally lost. Daou kept thrusting a few minutes longer, kissing him deeper, hands squeezing his chest and ass before he too reached his high, dropping his body over Road’s in a bear hug. They were breathing heavily against each other, Daou’s mouth against his neck, hands still on Road’s ass, groping and gripping. Road chuckled into his ear, kissing his boyfriend’s neck and cheek.
“Stop that, phi” he giggled when Daou groped his ass again and bit his shoulder jokingly.
“Why?” he smiled, finally coming down from his high, making his boyfriend giggle some more. Road didn’t answer, so Daou pulled out of him, making him gasp again. He threw the condom to the floor, his attention never leaving the stunning boy under him. He was frowning, tears rolling down his cheeks. “Baby?” Daou nudged him, worried. Road pouted, Daou pecking his lips softly. “Did I hurt you?” he tilted his head. Road pulled his hand, and intertwined it with his, their rings shining under the little light that got in from the living room, as he shook his head.
“I’m just so happy, I can’t believe this” he was trembling, as Daou kissed away the tears from his cheeks. He pulled another napkin, cleaning them up as much as he could, and threw it to the floor.
“You’re going to make me cry too” he smiled softly, stroking his cheek. “I don’t look even half as good as you do when you cry” Road grimaced, tears falling as his pout went from a smile to a pout again. ”You look absolutely adorable, it’s not fair” he sighed, making him smile. Daou wanted him to laugh, so he tickled him a bit, until all he could hear was his sweet laughter. “I love your laugh” he was so infatuated, Road pulled him down for a kiss before he yawned against his lips, tired. Daou chuckled, so endeared by him. “Is my baby tired?” he tilted his head, moving from in between his legs and pulling Road against his chest.
“I haven’t slept enough the last few days” he confessed, his cheek pressed against Daou’s chest, a hand caressing his neck. Daou put an arm under his head, the other caressed his arm after he pulled the clean sheets over their bodies.
“You can sleep baby, I’ll take care of the cleaning” he stroked his back. Road looked eyes with him.
“It’s okay, phi… let’s just sleep” he nuzzled his jaw, eyes half closed as breathed slowly over his chest. Daou smiled, that was new, his boyfriend was so tired he’d rather sleep than clean up. It made him giggle before he pulled the sheets more and tucked his boyfriend against him. They had a few jobs during the rest of the week, following the ending of the filming. Sleeping had been scarce during that week too, so of course they would take any moment to rest. That, and his boyfriend was such a light sleeper, so for him to fall asleep against him so easily, it was a blessing. He smiled, thoughts filled with his pretty boyfriend, with hopes for the days to come.
Daou woke up first, his boyfriend still curled against him, pouty lips and a serenity he hadn’t seen in a long time. He smiled, kissing his forehead, trying his best to stop the dumb giggles he was so close to letting out.
Their first time was filled with giggles, awkward positions and lots and lots of kisses everywhere, but it has been great, memorable, and hopefully, as pleasurable for hi baby as it had been for him. Road woke up a few minutes later, eyes half-closed, feeling equally rested and tired. He kissed his boyfriend’s jaw, smiling at him, and closed his eyes again, tiredness stronger than the rest he had gotten. Daou didn’t move, falling asleep again minutes later. When they woke up again, it was already past eleven in the morning. That was unheard for in Road’s vocabulary. He was an early bird, mostly because he woke up so easily. His waist and back were in pain, even sitting down was a hassle, so he just continued laying in his place, against his warm boyfriend. Daou woke up after him and stroked his hair. When they locked eyes, he moved in to kiss his face all over.
“Good morning, darling” he said in a hoarse sleepy voice. Road nodded, nuzzling his chin.
“Hi, phi…” he muttered back. Daou moved to kiss his face all over before he announced that he’d go prepare a bath for them.
Daou got the bathtub ready before he ran back into the room and carried his boyfriend to the bathroom, all while kissing his face again and again, making him chuckle in the crook of his neck. He got into it and sat them gently inside. Road whimpered at the contact of the water against his skin before he relaxed in the cramped tub against his boyfriend’s chest. Daou washed his hair softly before he soaped his back and chest, Road washed his own legs before soaping Daou’s as they surrounded him. Daou reached for the shower head and washed the soap away, before he helped Road out of the tube. He put a towel around him after admiring his work from the night before, and used one for himself. He dressed up his boyfriend in comfy clothes and threw in a shirt and some pants before heading out to make breakfast.
He left Road in a clean bed after taking the sheets off and throwing them inside the washing machine. Road followed him almost half an hour later, claiming to be okay.
“You should stay in bed” he pouted, surrounding his waist.
“I’m okay, phi… I’ve rested plenty” he kissed his cheek. “Let me help you make breakfast…” Daou shook his head, ever so protective.
“No, you need to rest, I’ll take care of everything, so you just sit and wait…” Road gave him a challenging look. “Please, darling?” he pleaded with big puppy eyes, until Road nodded. One thing about Offroad, he was very easily convinced when his boyfriend gave him the eyes. Daou kissed his head and went back to make them breakfast. After they ate, he convinced his boyfriend to get in bed again. “I’ll give you a massage…” he nudged. Road nodded, loving the attention and the care. His boyfriend’s soft hands picked him up bridal style, and he walked him to bed, still kissing his face and nuzzling his neck. He was such a sweet hopeless romantic, Road loved him so much. Daou had been an endearing and safe place for him ever since they met. It had always been like that, between them. He had Daou’s attention, care and love ever since the beginning, he was just showing it in more ways now that they were dating. Daou gave him a massage, one leg to each of his sides, hands soft and wet on his back and his ass, squeezing softly, making him sigh in relief. Road was on his belly, laying with his head to the side, arms under the pillow as he slowly closed his eyes, relaxing, tension slowly leaving his body. Daou had already ordered lunch for later, so they could just relax.
“Let’s take a nap, we’re going to be up until late for the party tonight…” he stroked his head after helping him get his clothes on. Road looked up at him. Truth be told, he was still feeling a bit of discomfort in his back. He nodded.
“Set up an alarm” he requested. Daou chuckled.
“It wouldn’t be so bad if we fell asleep” he lowered his face to kiss his head. Road glared at him, very aware of his boyfriend’s intentions.
“So we can skip the party?” he finished for him. Daou nodded. “To do what?” he decided to bite the bait.
“So we can do other fun things… alone” he whispered on his ear, making him giggle.
“Idiot” he chuckled. Daou frowned, sulking.
“Why would you say that?” he crossed his arms over his chest and Road tilted his head confused. “Do you not want to spend more time with me?” Road sighed. “So you just wanted me for my body, huh? Hit it and drop it? Is that what it was…” as his boyfriend went on a long dramatic rant, a sudden realization hit him.
His current boyfriend and him had always had that dynamic. This was nothing new, if anything it was so domestic and natural because they were being themselves. They had always been themselves. Touchy, sulky and sweet. He looked at the ring on his finger, the shiny stone that meant so much to them, to their relationship. He was so happy and fulfilled, so full of love and utter satisfaction, it was almost overwhelming. He pulled his boyfriend down so he could kiss him deep and slow until he was just smiling against his lips.
“I love you, phi…” he smiled, and just like that, his Golden Retriever of a boyfriend melted against him, dramatics and sulking long forgotten, as he kissed his face and surrounded him with arms and legs.
Well, maybe one thing had changed between them. Now Offroad had a new way to stop him from sulking, and that, silly as it was, made him chuckle like a fool against his phi.
Later on, when they got ready for the party and popped in even more attached to the hip than they had always been, Road let his boyfriend be the shy sweetheart he was and, answer questions about the ring, but he didn’t move from next to him. After a few minutes of bombarding them about it, the party finally started to gain momentum and him and his boyfriend were pushed onto the stage to sing a few songs. Even while on it, they stuck together, Daou’s eyes always on him, attentive to any expression on his pretty face that meant pain. When he saw him even a bit tired, he sent him to sit and sand a few songs alone, eyes and attention on him at all times.
Road smiled at him, he was always mesmerized when his boyfriend sang, especially when he sang his favorites, dedicating them to him. As he looked at him, he remembered the night that had brought them to that moment. A night he thought was going to be his ruin, became the beginning to a whole new chapter in his life alongside his boyfriend.
When Daou finally paused and sat next to him, they held hands under the table, drinks in their free hands and chests filled with warmth. Daou locked eyes with him and leaned in to whisper into his ear if he wanted to go, if he was okay. He looked back at him and smiled. He was okay, he had always been okay, as long as he was with his phi. He didn’t even need to utter words, his boyfriend knew just by looking at him, squeezing his hand.
For a moment, he saw flashes of a future where he hadn’t made that choice that night, where he went on without ever revealing how he felt for his phi. How heartbroken, sad and devastated he’d have become. How that same moment would be different than it was being right then. A look at his boyfriend, who smiled at him cutely and squeezed his hand some more. Road squeezed his hand back, and took a sip of his drink. They weren’t getting drunk that night, not if they wanted to have their own kind of fun that night. Just the thought of it made him giggle like a fool.
They were really two peas in a pod, him and his boyfriend.
