“Babe, are you ready yet?”
Draco watched the cars start and stop in the bustling streets of New York as he took a drag of his cigar from their rented penthouse on the 40th floor. The creamy flavour sat on his tongue as he heard his partners moving around inside as they got ready for the night ahead of them. There were many lights still illuminating the skyscrapers around them and pumpkin streamers hung up on windows. Below on the footpaths, people were dressed in many outfits ranging from ghosts to angels and cheerleaders to cowboys. Children were running with cheeky expressions and baskets full of candy as their parents laughed behind them. Thriller was booming on speakers, a song that Draco only knew because Hermione had been singing it around their penthouse since the start of October. The city that never sleeps indeed.
The penthouse was lined with black and gold, the furniture was a beautiful cocoa-brown including the leather couches where Theo sometimes fell asleep and the suede armchair where Hermione sat on quite a lot to read, usually an advanced mastery textbook of sorts. Skylights, table lamps and floor lamps filled each room and the lights shone in a dull yellow that still managed to brighten up the room. There was also a vase of black roses on the round dining table that Draco had picked up for Hermione on one of his walks and a pool on their third floor that the boys both liked to watch Hermione do laps in. They themselves in the spirit of Halloween had black and orange streamers in different rooms, floating pumpkins that Hermione had graciously put up in a room hidden from large windows and the skeleton of Theo’s father that Theo had dug up and dumped in the entrance way. Draco thought it was perhaps not the best idea, their girlfriend had not done well with seeing dead bodies in the past and he was doing everything in his power to make her life more peaceful. In the end, Hermione’s only complaint had been the smell which she quickly rectified by dousing the bones in a cheap Muggle cologne. Theo had cackled and promised her that they would burn the skeleton together once Halloween was over. Draco had just smiled and rolled his eyes, always amazed at Hermione’s resilience and daring nature that he hadn’t seen enough of when they were at Hogwarts.
This place wasn’t going to be their forever home, but there was certainly nothing that he could see complaints about so far.
Him, Theo and Hermione had arrived here around a month ago, after they had a near run-in with Harry when they were out in London on a discreet sightseeing trip. Seeing her former best friend had brought back painful memories for Hermione and Theo made quick action to alleviate the forlorn expression on her face, paying Galleons for the quickest portkey to the USA. They had just enough time to shrink all their belongings, thanks to Hermione’s undetectable extension charm before they were whisked away to a place they had never seen before.
Although they typically did their best to avoid society, both wizarding and Muggle alike, none of them could resist the opportunity to play dress-up, which is why they were going to a Halloween club event tonight. Theo had been too tense lately and Hermione had been terrified of being followed. Draco just needed an escape and if he could provide that for his partners too, it was the sort of bliss he couldn’t get anywhere else. They were the sort of bliss he couldn’t get anywhere else.
He decided to dress up as Ghostface, having been endeared to the unhinged criminal when they all watched Scream on the contraption that his girlfriend called a ‘television’. The only thing he had to purchase was the haunting mask, his Death Eater robes suited a little too well and he had a sick sort of gratitude for Voldemort for at least providing convenience in this area of his life. The dark robes billowed around his legs and he had transfigured a quill into a fake knife. The robes were still a little tight on him but it was something his partners would appreciate at least.
“Draco!”
Draco put his cigar packet in his pants pocket and turned around just as he heard footsteps in the kitchen behind him.
“I’ve been calling for you for the past five minutes, have you been lost in your own head again?” Theo asked.
Draco looked him up and down, more specifically at Theo’s tight navy blue police costume and the silver handcuffs he held in his right hand. The NYPD logo was on Theo’s left and he had sat the police cap perfectly on his head. The sleeves of the shirt wrapped around his lithe muscles and the stoic look in his boyfriend’s eye only stirred Draco up further. He gulped.
“We can find a better use for that costume.”
Theo raised an eyebrow, noticing his boyfriend’s looks and smirked knowingly.
“And what better use would that be exactly? Going out tonight was your idea, remember?”
Draco walked away from the large windows overlooking the skyline and towards his boyfriend in slow careful steps.
“I thought you were smarter than questioning my intelligence. Do I need to punish you for that?”
Theo closed the gap between them and trailed a hand down Draco’s chest. The smell of cloves filled the gap pleasantly.
“If I’m reading your thoughts correctly, you’re the one who’s going to be punished.”
Draco leaned in when they both heard heels clicking down the spiral staircase. They pulled away from each other and turned to see their girlfriend who was dressed in a way that both boys could safely describe as positively sinful and enticing. Draco’s lips parted as he felt blood rush further down his body. She put her hands on her hips, curling the pitchfork she got around her fingers and smirked at the looks her boys were giving her. She knew she had nothing to be worried about, she revelled in knowing how needed and wanted she was.
Hermione had devil horns on her curly locks, black winged eyeliner and deep red lipstick that made her look as cunning as her boyfriends knew her to secretly be. She had on a deep red and black skimpy dress where black lace on the trimmings made it look more like a corset and red strappy stilettos that accentuated her thighs.
“What do you boys think?” she asked with a flirty hint in her voice.
Draco exhaled and clicked his tongue. She could probably already see his cock tenting his slacks.
Theo was looking at her with pure desire in his eyes. “My apologies Draco.”
Draco’s lips parted as he watched his boyfriend walk towards their girlfriend, thinking of how furious he would get if any other men saw her like this tonight. Theo pulled Hermione into a deep kiss, making her let out a sigh of pleasure as she kissed him back. Draco gravitated towards his lovers, as he always would. Draco had never seen himself being much of a sharer, especially with Hermione but Theo, his best friend and love was the only exception to that. He would always love seeing the two of them together, seeing someone else understand just how prized it was of an experience to have Hermione and having someone who could love his best friend and understand him in the kindest ways possible. Theo twirled Hermione around so now she was facing the both of them.
“We do in fact have a better use for my costume, because we are not going anywhere tonight.”
Hermione giggled as she was handcuffed and Draco winked at her as the triad made their way back upstairs.
