Can You Smell Donuts?

Summary:

H has recently installed security cameras near Mikey's cabin to assure him of his death. However Mikey's murderer evokes unknown feeling in him and his rut medication seems to loose their effectivety.

Notes:

this one is very silly and my first go at A/B/O.

Work Text:

There he was. Covered in blood.
Not his own of course. He was never covered in his own blood. At least H could never tell.

His chest went up and down as he was catching his breath, standing over no other but Mike Walters' corpse. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and got red in his now messy blonde hair. Fuck.
Maybe putting up those security cameras near the cabin wasn’t such a good idea after all.

H was sitting, staring at the screen to make sure Mike truly stayed dead. But Mike hasn’t been the focus of his attention for a while now. The man of his attention was another. His most trusted soldier. Eagle.

H turned off the screen, which quickly faded to black, now only showing himself in all his desperate glory. Fuck.
He thought he made sure to take his rut suppressors. Sweat was running down his temple, down his neck and disappearing at the seams of his shirt. He has to calm down, H thought. This is no way to react to your most trusted employee. For fuck sake this is no way to react to his friend Eagle.
This must be all the stress he had built up, because of a certain cockroach and anyway Eagle was an alpha. It would not work out. It's not what Selene had intended. There was a clear order.

H of course knew that this wasn’t entirely true, however he strongly held onto the wish fulfillment of his younger alpha self, who hoped to once settle down and have a family. A normal life so to speak.
H’s life was anything but normal. Watching a man die, while smiling and maybe getting a bit too excited about seeing his murderer succeed was definitely not what young Jerry had in mind.

H had thought about the other man way more often than he would ever admit. Has remembered every feature his eyes could fall upon. Every speech pattern and all his habits that showed his many sides. He has even researched bitching, but he had no clue how to explain his sudden change in gender to the rest of the council and he was quite happy being an alpha. It never bothered him and it would have never bothered him, if it weren’t for Eagle and his crooked smile that could turn his lungs into outer space. Oh Selene, how did he deserve this?

A knock.

„Enter.”

How long was he lost in his thoughts?
Eagle entered the room and with that every bit of air left H’s body.
How fast did he get here?

„Want a donut? You’d get the first pick.”

Eagle pushed a box of donuts into H’s view and still dazed he grabbed the first one.

„Thanks, what’s the occasion? Did you make Jam cry again?”

Eagle looked away for a second and H could see some leftover blood he must have forgotten to wash off.

„Just thought we might want to celebrate, you know, Mike Walters being dead and all.”

H could argue about the probability of Mike staying dead for hours, but knew it was a fruitless conversation that would only make him mad.

He took a bite of his donut. It wasn’t his favorite treat, quite the opposite actually. But they had a certain smell to them that reminded him of Eagle. Eagle probably just smelled like donuts after buying them so often. But H would always associate them with him.

H kept a box of the same brand of donuts Eagle always bought in his refrigerator for reasons he wasn’t ready to share with anyone but him and Selene.

„Do you have any other business you’d like to discuss or are we finished here?”said H trying to fill the silence he left in the room.

„Oh. I thought we might… uhm rehearse the next mission.”

„There won’t be a big one for a while.”

„Oh.”

Eagle looked… sad. No. H must have been mistaken. Why would he?

Silence.

The room became more static. Neither party said anything. Only the sweetness of the donuts was singing its melody.
The smell went through H’s body. Leaving him with goose bumps and a shiver down his back. He felt dizzy. What was in that donut?
He looked directly at Eagle about to ask him about it, but he looked… flushed, hot? He must have had the same donut. Was this an attack?

The scent became more aggressive. H could feel his vision blurring and his muscles tensing up. Eagle seemed to have a similar problem. If H wasn’t in such a situation he could have found amusement in Eagle,s red face clashing with his almost white hair.

And then something clicked in H’s brain.
No this couldn’t be. He would have known. But there was no other way.

„Eagle, are you an… omega?”

H cursed himself the moment that word left his lips. But Eagle just stared at him in desperation. H didn’t even know this man was capable of such an expression.

His body made a step towards Eagle, who seemed to have a hard time standing straight.

H had to fight everything inside of him to not push this man to the ground. The man he so often saw, covered in blood with his smirk, now holding on to his life to not fall over. Eagle looked like he was in pain and H’s body moved on his own walking over to him.

He was now standing in front of him and could feel his warm breath on his skin. The smell was now almost unbearable. Eagle really did smell like donuts. H wanted to laugh but was cut off by a hand on the back of his head pulling him closer.

Eagle was now directly breathing into his mouth, their mouths only centimeters apart. H closed the distance between them, feeling Eagle’s hot lips on his own. It felt like a sweet relief, which made room for an even bigger urge.

Eagle was desperately trying to shorten the distance between them even more by doing everything short to eating H’s face. H remembered the dried blood from before and made his way down Eagles neck. He could feel a big hand now on his chest slowly working its way down his body. Every touch sends lightning through his skin. His breathing got faster and his head became foggier again. H stopped. Fuck.

Taking in the sensation of Eagle touching him for one last time, he pushed him off his body.

Eagle looked at him with confusion in his eyes.

„Yo- you need to leave…”

H was still barely able to speak and Eagle was just standing there, breathing.

„Leave, NOW!”

H thought he saw an glimpse of sadness in Eagles eyes before H turned around and waited.
He waited until he heard his door open and close in a loud BANG! H sank to the floor and buried his head in his arms. Oh Selene, how he wished to just give in. But he knew. This would never be something Eagle wanted. This was just his natural urge as an omega. He had gone too far. Should have never-

He needed to get away. But he couldn't. He was stuck here having to hold everything together and now it seemed close to falling apart. Eagle had to go.
H doubted Eagle wouldn’t want to stay in close proximity to him either. And he already had the perfect job for Eagle in mind.
