Chapter Text
— Prologue —
BadBoyHalo wasn’t the best dad ever, he would often forget to cook for his son, to clean the house and to get groceries. So since he was very young Dapper had to do it all by himself, he would always make breakfast and lunch for him, and his dad.
He had to be the one washing all their clothes, every Sunday, he would collect every piece of clothing he could find on the floor and bring it to a lake, then, with some soap he would spend the day washing them hand by hand under the boiling rays of the sun.
Whenever summer comes Dapper starts to faint for the heat multiple times, most of the time it happens when he’s carrying the clothes to wash.
But recently money got very tight, and he started to faint all year because of starvation.
They usually didn’t have many food in the house because Dapper wasn’t able to buy groceries, and Bad would often forget to get them, but ‘that was fine’, Dapper said, because they couldn’t afford them anyway.
At school Dapper didn’t have many friends, he didn’t know how to properly communicate and make friends. In his mind he was never actually lonely, to feel included he would write stories and draw comics about friends hanging out together. These silly stories would be the only thing to make him feel somewhat included.
As he grew older he started getting more insecure, he didn’t have any good clothes to wear, or any funny story to tell, while all the kids would go on vacation and trips, all he would spend his holidays off where pieces and pieces of drawings.
He loved to draw objects, in fact all of his characters where animated objects like flowers, furniture and stationery. The only humans he would draw where himself, his father and his imaginary friends.
Bad couldn’t ignore his son’s passion, he wasn’t very supportive of it, not only would he make fun of Dapper’s art, but sometimes he would rip these drawings or burn them. He’d shout at his son how useless they are, how much of an outcast and embarrassment for the family he is. But Dapper couldn’t really hear those words, to him, his father was a hero, probably because he was the only person who didn’t ignore his whole existence. Dapper would in fact, crawl for any small attention, to the point he’d rather let people pick on him then be ignored by whole class.
