Work Text:

All Jisu wanted was to peacefully go home, but the headphones on her ears weren’t enough indication that she wants to be left alone. She tried pretending she couldn’t hear the man, but then the man decided to block her way and wave at her like his presence was asked for. Jisu acted surprised, removed her headphones and had no choice but to give an awkward smile.

“Finally. I’ve been trying to contact you, why weren’t you answering my texts?” Says the man who just stopped Jisu from her tracks.

“Sorry, I was busy.” Jisu then tried to continue walking but was again stopped by a hand on her shoulder.

“Yeah, right. I’ll just ask you out right now. Come watch a movie with me.” The man annoyingly asked with his hand still on Jisu’s shoulders.

Jisu let out a sigh. Jesus, please save me from this persistent man and forgive me for I am about to tell a lie. She looks at the man with a forced smile, carefully removing the hand on her shoulder.

“I can’t, sorry. I have tons of work to do at the church.” Jisu reasons out expecting the man to understand and finally let her go.

She felt a strong hand grip on her wrist pulling her closer. God, please, please save me.

“Oh come on it won’t be that long, just come with me—”

“She said no, asshole.”

The man was suddenly dragged away by his collar and was now facing the woman who just spoke.

“Leave her alone before I knock some sense into you.” She says then pushes the man away.

Both of them watched the man scoff and murmur unhearable words under his breath but leaves anyway. Jisu felt like her pleas were answered. Thank you, Lord.

“Thank you.” Jisu says before looking at the woman.

She had short dark red hair that the redness only becomes visible when she’s under the sun. She was wearing a black graphic tee that had some explicit words written on it, tucked on her denim ripped jeans. Jisu was wearing her usual attire, a pastel cardigan and a skirt that now feels extra flowy from the presence of the woman. Jisu felt like she forgot every word she had ever learned but could only remember a single adjective and was just stunned by the woman in front of her. Beautiful. She’s never seen anyone look this beautiful, she immediately looked away afraid that the woman might have noticed how in awe she was of her.

“Don’t mention it. Want me to walk you home? That motherfucker might come back.” The woman kindly asks Jisu who’s trying her best to not look stiff and awkward.

‘’Sur— uhm I— If I’m—” Jisu takes a deep breath.

“ If it’s okay with you.” Jisu bites her tongue in frustration. Oh goodness what was that.

The woman couldn’t help but laugh a little from the now very flustered Jisu.

“Of course, honey. I wouldn’t be offering it to you if it wasn’t.”

Honey honey honey honey. The word seemed to endlessly bounce across Jisu’s mind, repeating it over and over like a monk praying to their God. Jisu suddenly felt her heart dance like crazy, making her feel things she can’t explain. I think my heart is palpitating from the coffee I had earlier. Blaming a caffeinated drink was the only acceptable reason her saintly mind could explain to herself why her heart was suddenly running a mile. Jisu felt like floating on their way home. The smile on her lips slowly faded when she realized their time together ends here.

“So— is this your home?” The woman asks when Jisu suddenly stops and looks at the house.

“Uhh– yeah. Thank you.” Jisu was about to walk inside the house when she stopped and went back to the woman.

“Sorry that was rude of me. What’s your name?” Jisu asks with a shy smile.

“Minhee, it’s Minhee. You’re Jisu, right?”

“Yes— wait, how did you know?”

“You’re the priest’s daughter, everybody knows your family.”

“Right… Thank you, Minhee.”

“Anytime. Stay safe, hon.”

“Uhh— yeah, y— you too! Bye.”

Saturday morning Jisu was wearing a semi-fitted pencil skirt topped with pink silk long sleeves, she had half of her hair tied up with a white bow leaving her bangs hanging from the sides, accentuating her soft and round features. She's at the church preparing for tomorrow’s mass. It has become a routine of hers, helping in the church almost everyday, after finishing her projects and school works she’ll head to the church. Jisu loves what she does. It was both her obligation and her love for God that has driven her to continue with serving the church. After all, her father is a priest, making her appearance in the church vital. As well as her image; Jisu’s the ideal daughter that any parents wish they had. Sweet, loving, obedient, kind, smart, God-fearing, and of course pretty.

So it’s no surprise that guys would hit on her left and right, but she never budge, not once. She said she wanted to focus on studying and serving the Lord. It never occurred to her that maybe there were other reasons why she was never interested in any of them.

She suddenly hears a knock on the door.

“Come in.” Jisu says while still busy with organizing the flyers and envelopes on the desk.

“Hi, I’m here for the— hey, it’s you.”

Jisu looks up and her eyes widen with delight when she meets the same beautiful woman that made her stumble in her own words a couple of days ago and was for some reason living in her mind rent free for the past few days. Her hands immediately dropped whatever she was doing and her feet led her towards the chair in front of the desk and offered it to the latter.

“Minhee, hi! What made you pay a visit? Come sit here.” Jisu happily offers the seat then sits across it.

“Community service. They said this place needed some hand.” Minhee explains while sitting down on the chair.

“I see, just log your name here then I’ll show you the things we need to prepare.” Jisu hands her a log book from the desk. Their church always receives people to help with the preparations, she just wasn’t expecting the help to look this beautiful.

Jisu was also met with the familiar but confusing feeling that her conservative mind can’t comprehend. I don’t remember drinking any coffee ugh— what is wrong with me. With no caffeine to point a finger to Jisu tried her best to not get the confusing feelings in the way of helping the church. But the constant glance, the short but felt like an eternity eye contact, the unintentional brush of their skin against each other was only making her feel more confusing things. Jisu feels like she could collapse anytime now. It’s holding her by the neck, depriving her of oxygen. Making her anticipate for something she doesn’t know. The unusual feeling is seating on her shoulder bothered her until she could no longer take it, she then made an excuse saying she left something at the priest’s office.

When she arrives at the office she places both her hands on the desk to try and support her body, she catches her breath. Her heart never stopped racing; it exhausted her. She exhales and lightly slaps both her cheeks. Then there’s only one who she could think of to ask for help. Oh Lord, please enlighten me as to why I am feeling this way—

“Jisu, you good?”

Jisu jumps from the sudden call of her name. She turns around to see a worried Minhee. She doesn’t exactly remember how Minhee got so close to her, but all she knows now is that Minhee is in a close distance to her that she could smell her floral sweet scent. It lingers and seats on her nose, it feels like it’s reeling her closer.

“Hey, Jisu. Are you okay? You’re all red, do you have a fever or something?” Minhee worriedly asks while her hand was on Jisu’s forehead trying to examine her temperature with the concern written in her face.

Jisu felt her heart turn into a serpent, lacing around her body leaving traces of temptation. It intertwines around her mind, poisoning it, fabricating her mind, taunting her with Minhee's luscious lips. Her eyes were filled with a burning desire to taste what’s in front of her. She could feel the serpent around her shoulder whispering in her ear, luring her into finally understanding what has been confusing her. Jisu’s eyes sets on Minhee’s lips that’s now shaped like a fruit from the garden of eden.

The serpent is toying with her, like teasing a famished lion with freshly cut meat. Jisu gave in, it was sweet and soft. She doesn’t remember how she lightly pulled Minhee’s shoulder, placing her closer to her. Their lips are crashed together, Jisu’s eyes were closed. It wasn’t long when Jisu realized what she just did. She immediately pulls aways, lowering her head to face the floor.

“S– sorry, sorry, Minhee. So—” Jisu lightly says with tears of embarrassment building up in her eyes. With her head still facing the floor, when she felt a hand lift her chin.

Minhee didn’t have to think twice and immediately kissed Jisu’s lips with hunger and desire, like she’s been deprived of something too. Jisu melts in her touch but kisses back with the same– no, with more desire. Minhee lightly lifts Jisu’s legs while one hand supports her back to make her seat on the desk, Jisu helps by placing both her arms over Minhee’s shoulders pulling them closer to each other with their lips still catching each other’s kiss.  It’s sweeter, but rougher, starving, their tongues were dancing and their hearts were bonfires igniting their desire.

Minhee lands her left palm over Jisu’s thigh, placing a thumb under the hem of Jisu’s skirt. Jisu widens her legs and pulls Minhee closer to her with her hand on Minhee’s hair. Minhee smiles from the action, the latter is letting her dive deeper and explore her, giving her more access without having to say a word. Minhee obliged by fully placing her palm under Jisu’s skirt caressing her soft bare skin. Making Jisu let out a light whine, driving the other more in elevating her hands closer to her groin. Jisu’s mind was drowning in desire, she couldn’t help but crave for more and more and more—

The desire dies down when they both hear a knock from the door, which makes them immediately scatter away from each other. Jisu fixes her skirt and clears her throat.

“Come in!” Jisu says, trying to hide the adrenaline with a calm and collected smile but her hands fidgets behind her back.

“Jisu, darling.” Jisu’s father greets her while holding some freshly laundered  alb over his arms.

“Blessed day, Father Chan.” Minhee greets with a smile on her lips.

“Bless you, sweet child.” Father Chan greets while handing the alb to Jisu.

Minhee quietly leaves the room but looks over to Jisu who’s already watching her leave, she gives her a wink before turning around and finally leaving the room.

“Darling, you feel alright? You’re all red, is it your allergies again? I already told you, you didn’t have to help with the flower arrangements.” Her father worriedly asks her.

“Y– yeah I think it is. Sorry, dad, they uhm– needed help.” Jisu lies while trying to stay composed.

“Call your mom and ask her to bring your meds, understood, darling?”

“Yes, dad.”

As soon as her father leaves the room, she plumps at the seat like all her energy was sucked out of her. She lets out a sigh and chuckles a little. She bites her lips still high from the kiss. She touches it, still feeling the ghost of Minhee’s sweet and tender kiss. She knew it was damning but it blew the confusing feeling away, exchanging it with guilt. She thought the feelings ended there, but her body longed for more. She didn’t know that getting a taste of what’s forbidden was addicting.
