Chapter Text
“Hey, Luc,” Kaeya greeted with a smile as he opened his apartment door.
Stepping back to let Diluc in, his eyes caught the overflowing bags hanging from his hands, and his smile was quick to fall off his face. Diluc hurried inside before Kaeya tried to shut the door on him, leaning forward to kiss away the protest that was about to fall from his lips.
“It’s just some stuff for dinner,” Diluc placated as he pulled away. “I figured we could just stay in tonight and cook.”
Trailing behind him as Diluc made his way to the kitchen, Kaeya sarcastically said, “I’m curious what we’re cooking that uses both granola and rice. Oh, and I’m guessing that those protein bars are just an appetizer.”
Diluc sighed, shoving said items in his pantry while doing his best to ignore the ever growing scent of displeasure filling the cramped kitchen. It was an ongoing argument the two of them have had ever since their relationship got “serious.”
“They were having a sale,” Diluc retorted, putting little effort into the lie.
After finishing putting away the last of the groceries, Diluc turned to face the glare he could feel boring into him. Across from him, Kaeya leaned against the kitchen counter with his arms crossed. He didn’t say anything—he didn’t need to say anything—Diluc already knew why he was upset.
Kaeya was the textbook struggling college kid, made even worse by the fact that he was an omega that grew up in foster care. His grades and circumstances earned him enough money in scholarships to cover tuition, but he was completely alone for his food and housing. Going to college in the middle of Mond’s main city, even the tiny apartment he rented with friends was enough to leave him living paycheck to paycheck.
Crossing the distance between them, Diluc let out calming pheromones and rubbed soothing circles around Kaeya's waist. “You can take care of yourself, I know , but it doesn’t have to be just you. Please, let me take care of you too,” he whispered.
Being the exact opposite of Kaeya in terms of finances, it was only natural that Diluc wanted to take care of who he hoped would become his future mate. However, Kaeya was very hard-working and very, very stubborn. It was part of what drew him to the omega when he first met him in the campus’s coffee shop. He was perfectly calm in the face of the morning and lunch rush, and never flinched in the face of rude customers.
Unfortunately, his hard-working and stubborn spirit made it near impossible for Diluc to help him, even when he so obviously needed it. He had tried everything to comfort him, understanding that his struggles in foster care and as an omega made him jaded to accepting help from others, but he was at his wits end.
Trying to coax Kaeya into relaxing, Diluc could feel the way his hip bones jutted out against his thumbs. His jeans practically hung off of him, and the bruises under his eyes were impossible to ignore with how close he was. “I’m worried about you, Kae,” Diluc confessed.
Kaeya sighed, unfolding his arms to drape them over Diluc’s shoulders instead. Sagging against the other man, Kaeya leaned his forehead against his clavicle and said, “I know, but you know how I feel about it too. It feels like—like I’m just giving up and using you.”
Kissing Kaeya’s hair and letting the soft strands tickle his nose, Diluc confidently replied, “You’re not. But, even if you were, I wouldn’t mind one bit.”
His words were enough to pull a small laugh from Kayea. Things were by no means settled, but Diluc could appreciate the small truce for what it was. It wasn’t often that those discussions ended without at least one of them yelling.
Pulling away, Kaeya poked through the remaining bag, asking, “Did you actually bring stuff for us to cook?”
Humming, Diluc went about grabbing the appropriate pots and pans from the cupboards, having long-since memorized the set-up. “Yeah, there should be some pasta and sauce in there.”
Soon enough, the bitter scent of Kaeya’s annoyance was replaced by the buttery noodles and thick sauce. It was rather quaint, cooking with Kaeya in his small kitchen, reaching over one another and bumping hips. Still, as cute as it was, Diluc couldn’t get the image of Kaeya in his house out of his head.
In his house, Kaeya wouldn’t be forced to use mismatched cutlery and carefully inspect the expiration dates of every item they used. There wouldn’t be any embarrassment as a stray critter was swept away from the back of a cabinet, or when Kaeya would open the fridge to find it near empty. In his house, Kaeya wouldn’t be pushing himself through his fatigue to make a subpar meal in a run-down kitchen. In his house, Kaeya’s cheeks would be flushed and full as Diluc pampered him to his heart’s content.
In truth, Diluc had very little experience with the…lower classes before he met Kaeya. Stepping into his apartment for the first time was almost enough to send the redhead into cardiac arrest. While he had somewhat grown used to it by now, deep down, he still couldn’t understand how Kaeya was able to live in such conditions. Moreover, why he chose to live in such conditions, ignoring all of Diluc’s pleads to move in with him.
Pulling himself from his thoughts as he and Kaeya sat to eat, Diluc asked, “How did the presentation for your psychology class go?”
“Awful,” Kaeya groaned, spitefully stabbing at the food on his plate. “I swear that teacher’s just sexist and out to get me. He asked me if I had double checked my sources at least twice, insisting that my topic was just a ‘wive’s tale.’”
Diluc hummed in sympathy, asking, “Is that the same one that refuses to meet with you about your grade?”
Propping an elbow on the table, Kaeya dropped his head on his hand and huffed, “Yes, and if I don’t talk about it with him, my GPA is going to drop. I might…I might lose part of my scholarship.”
That was probably why the groceries were enough to set him off earlier, Diluc thought. While Kaeya would quickly veto most of Diluc’s attempts to pay for any of his bills, he was usually safe with just bringing over a few bags of food for him. With the impending threat of student loans, it probably just felt like a show that he could no longer afford to support himself.
“Oh, Starlight,” Diluc cooed, standing to sit over on Kaeya’s side of the table. Pulling Kaeya to his chest, he could feel the minute shaking of his shoulders that he was desperately trying to suppress. “It’ll be alright,” he hushed, rubbing his back.
“No,” Kaeya moaned, voice cracking. “Even if I am able to meet with him, there’s next to no chance that he’ll actually change my grade.”
His words sparked a cruel and traitorous thought in his head, one that asked, “Would you come to me then? If you lost your scholarship, would you finally accept my help? Or, would you rather take out a loan just to say that you did things all by yourself?”
Almost shocked at the words his own mind managed to create, Diluc quickly said, “You can always talk to the board. He’s obviously being unfair to you, anyone can see that just by looking at how good your work is, Kae.”
Kaeya made a noise of acknowledgement, but said nothing else otherwise. Diluc’s suggestion was a false hope and they both knew it. He stood almost no chance, standing in front of an all alpha board and convincing them that a professor was being ‘unfair’ to him. Most of them didn’t even agree with omegas being in their school in the first place.
“Whatever happens, we can deal with it together,” Diluc graciously offered, biting down his words that he could pay for Kaeya’s education ten times over with his childhood allowance. “Let’s just eat for now, before it gets cold. You’re way too thin for my liking.”
They ate together slowly, as Diluc tried to distract the other with small anecdotes about his day. The other had no doubt lost his appetite from the stress, but he didn’t look like he could afford to skip any meals. So, Diluc patiently sat with him, taking his fork from him to spoon up noodles and feed them to Kaeya himself. His inner alpha preened at each bite the other took. Kaeya really had been depriving him enough that seeing him eat was enough to satisfy it.
Kaeya had the perpetual habit of eating like a bird, no matter how much food was placed in front of him. He would pick at bites and push around his food, but little was ever eaten at the end. Diluc was never able to pinpoint the exact reason for it, as Kaeya had no issues with self-confidence or the textures. Having mulled over it time and time again, the only answer Diluc could come up with was that Kaeya simply didn’t know how to take care of himself.
He needed at least three reminders to remember to eat and was prone to overworking himself. That only added to the fact that he had no set sleep schedule, and often only fell asleep when exhaustion forced him to. That was why he needed Diluc—he needed someone to take care of him. Things would be so much easier if Kaeya actually let him.
Once Kaeya had at least finished the small portion that was on his plate, Diluc set about cleaning up the kitchen while Kaeya washed up. Having intended to stay the night, Diluc had already done so prior, unable to bear the lukewarm water that the shower trickled out. The thought of Kaeya dealing with it on a daily basis was enough to set Diluc off again, angrily scrubbing at the plate in his hand.
“Woah, rough day?” a voice asked from behind him.
Looking up, Diluc met eyes with one of Kaeya’s roommates toeing his shoes off in the entryway. Realizing that he had been glaring at the plate and grumbling for nearly two minutes, he quickly ducked his head back down and began rinsing the plate.
“Stubborn stain,” he offered instead.
Humming, the other man stepped further into the apartment. “I don’t think we’ve met before, but you must be Kaeya’s boyfriend, right?” he asked.
Setting the final plate on the drying rack, Diluc dried off his hands and appraised the other. He was a terribly average man with no distinct features. Subtly sniffing the air, Diluc found that even his scent held the same indistinct blandness of a beta. He remembered Kaeya mentioning something about a new roommate in passing, as Thoma had moved out for some reason or another.
“Right, my name’s Diluc,” he stated, offering the other his hand.
Slightly wincing at the firm handshake, the other said, “Huffman. I just moved in a few weeks ago.”
“Pleasure to meet you,” he said. Now, Diluc usually wasn’t one to gossip, but he realized how long it had been since he’d seen the blonde omega around. Curiosity getting the best of him, continued, “Do you happen to know why Thoma moved out?”
Huffman sighed wistfully, grabbing a cup from the cupboard. Filling it up, he said, “He moved in with his boyfriend. I heard they had planned to mate after he graduated, but I guess he’s dating some big shot alpha. His family was threatening an arranged mating, so they pushed the date ahead.”
Diluc hummed in understanding. He had only seen Thoma’s boyfriend a few times in passing, but there was a subtle acknowledgement between them. He could tell from the clean lines of his clothing and the way he carried himself that he was from the upper class. If Diluc was a little more involved in his family’s business, they would probably run in the same circles.
Taking a drink, Huffman leaned against the fridge, groaning, “Lucky bastard, I don’t know why he didn’t do it sooner. His boyfriend’s totally loaded, promising to pay for everything.”
Diluc stiffly nodded, holding tight to the counter to keep his pheromones steady. His wealth wasn’t something that Kaeya liked people to know about. Diluc wasn’t exactly someone who liked to brag and flaunt it, but the hurt and self-conscious part of him made him paranoid that others thought he couldn’t take care of his omega properly. If it was up to him, he would have done the exact same thing with Kaeya.
Unknowing of Diluc’s internal struggle, Huffman poked his head around to look at the pile of washed dishes on the counter. “Did you guys make something tonight?” he asked, going for subtlety, but Diluc could see the hunger in his eyes.
“Pasta,” Diluc answered simply, turning to leave. “There’s some leftovers in the fridge that you’re welcome to.”
Ignoring his exclamation of thanks, Diluc turned down the hall to Kaeya’s bedroom, nearly bumping into the omega just emerging from the bathroom. Steadying the other as he jumped in surprise, Diluc found his skin cool to the touch. Rubbing his hands over the goosebump-riddled flesh, he said, “God, Kaeya, you’re freezing.”
Leaning into the warm touch, Kaeya whined, “I waited too long to shower, the water was ice cold.”
“You wouldn’t have that problem at my place.”
There was a silence that stretched between them, the air crackling with the promise of another fight. It exhausted Diluc to no end. Him and Kaeya were happy together, truly, and their basic principles in life all aligned. As someone who had never had to worry about money before, Diluc never expected it to be what drew him apart from his partner.
“I know,” Kaeya deadpanned, walking down the hallway without another word.
Diluc groaned in the empty hallway, massaging his temple. Gathering his willpower, he followed after Kaeya.
Once in his room, Diluc changed into his night clothes without a word as Kaeya toweled his hair dry. The silence remained, even as Diluc crawled into bed next to Kaeya. The creaking of the springs sounded exceedingly loud in the quiet, and Diluc sent out a silent prayer for his back.
Settling himself into the deep dip of the mattress, Diluc spooned Kaeya, pulling him tight to his chest. The wet strands of his hair tickled his nose, but Diluc leaned into them all the same. Inhaling Kaeya’s natural scent, mingled with the sweetness of his shampoo, Diluc allowed himself to relax.
“I was doing the dishes,” Diluc offered as an olive branch. “I should have waited until you were done. They probably used up all the hot water.”
Diluc felt the stiffness of Kaeya’s shoulders leave, as he too allowed himself to relax into Diluc’s touch. Craning his neck, he pressed a chaste kiss to Diluc’s lips, before turning back around.
“That was probably it. We’ll have to do them together next time.”
It was a lie that neither of them truly believed. The water Diluc used was cold and they both knew it.
“I love you,” Kaeya whispered.
Diluc hoped that wasn’t another lie as he whispered, “I love you too.”
Kaeya was quick to fall asleep after that, fatigue finally taking over, but Diluc spent half that night awake. He traced the lines of Kaeya’s body with light and soothing touches. Starting from his hips, then up to his collarbones, then back down again. He counted each dip in his ribs, feeling the sharpness of bones sticking out against skin somewhere deep in his chest.
Something had to change. He was willing to compromise with Kaeya, but not when it was his health being compromised.
…
Diluc felt like he had just closed his eyes when he heard Kaeya’s alarm going off. He groaned as Kaeya leaned over him to turn it off, tightening his arms around his waist.
Pressing a kiss to his brow, Kaeya extracted himself from the cage of his arms, whispering, “I have to go to work. You have the key, just remember to lock the door when you leave.”
“I’ll drive you,” Diluc mumbled, not even opening his eyes.
“No,” Kaeya sighed, opening his dresser drawer. “I always end up late when you do.”
“Text me when you get to work,” he responded, too tired to argue with him.
Finished pulling on his clothes, Diluc heard rustling by his head as Kaeya swept his charger and phone into his bag. Giving him a final kiss, Kaeya teased, “I always do, yet you never respond because you’re asleep.”
Grunting in protest, Diluc mumbled out an ‘I love you,’ then was back asleep before he heard Kaeya’s response.
…
Blinking his eyes open at a much more reasonable time, Diluc yawned as he grabbed his phone from the nightstand. Opening his messages, he found one from Kaeya.
Starlight ❤️4:03am :
Made it to work. Enjoy your beauty sleep princess <3
You 8:29am :
Love you. Have a good day starlight
Setting his phone back on the nightstand, Diluc winced as he got out of bed. His back popped loudly as he stretched, protesting the past night’s sleeping conditions. He had been staying over at Kaeya’s place more often, as nights seemed to be the only time they could actually see each other with Kaeya’s work and class schedule.
Waking up to his omega bathed in the morning sunlight was something that Diluc had yet to see. With lazy mornings and sleepy sex being some of the most romanticized things in the media, Diluc found himself bitter that he was being deprived of it.
Collecting his necessities from around the room, Diluc elected to get ready for his classes at his own place. He found that cold water and zero water pressure were not worth the extra hour of sleep.
Wanting to at least wash the stale taste of sleep from his mouth, Diluc made his way over to the bathroom. Brushing his teeth, Diluc looked over the myriad of clutter on the counter, as it was shared between all of Kaeya’s roommates. Of the clutter, a bottle of pills knocked over on the counter stood out to him.
Rinsing his mouth and toothbrush, Diluc swept the pills back into the bottle and picked it up to close the lid. As he screwed the lid closed, he caught sight of the letters KAEYA ALBERICH printed in bold letters on the label. His eyebrows furrowed, turning over the bottle to inspect the label, wondering what medication Kaeya needed.
He relaxed, setting the bottle back down when he saw that it was merely Kaeya’s heat suppressant and birth control. He knew that Kaeya was taking it, seeing as he hadn’t used a condom in months. Then again, he and Kaeya hadn’t exactly been intimate in…quite some time, now that Diluc thought about it.
The pervasive thought that Kaeya was cheating on him came to his mind, but he brushed it away as soon as it came. Him and Kaeya have both just been tired recently. Kaeya, because of work and school and never ending bills. Diluc, because of how stressed he was about Kaeya.
As Diluc went about the rest of his day, the little bottle in Kaeya’s bathroom never left his mind. It wasn’t that he thought Kaeya was cheating. In truth, Kaeya didn’t even have the time to cheat. Instead, it was more about what the bottle entailed.
Pups.
Never before had Diluc thought about pups. Growing up, it was always rather quiet in his house with just him and his father, before eventually turning into just him. Now, he was in his last year of college and gearing up to take over as head of his family’s business. He was still rather young, and more concerned about getting Kaeya to move in with him, much less start a family with him. Yet, it was all that he could think about after seeing that bottle.
So clearly could he picture Kaeya growing plump and round with his pups. Not only in his stomach, but in all parts of him. Kaeya was not so cruel as to starve his own child, so he would no doubt gain some much needed weight as he ate more for them.
He would be forced to accept Diluc’s offers of help, not only with food, but with housing as well. Kaeya wouldn’t be stubborn enough to raise a child in a rundown apartment with three other roommates. At last, Kaeya would finally be safe and warm in Diluc’s family home, right where he belonged.
“Luc? Luuuc? Diluc? ”
Diluc snapped his attention back to the man across from him, humming in question.
“You’ve been staring at me weird for, like, the past two weeks.”
“Have I?” Diluc asked, knowing full well that he most definitely has been. Nowadays, he could only think of how perfect the other would look barefoot and pregnant in his house whenever he saw the omega.
“Yeah,” Kaeya said, triumphantly pointing his fork at him, “You’re doing it right now.”
Diluc shook his head slightly, trying to pull it down from the gutter. “Am I not allowed to look at my boyfriend?”
“Not when you look at me like that . It’s how the old creeps at work stare at me.”
Diluc winced, hating how accurate the statement was. Thinking of the other pregnant with his pups definitely qualified as ‘old creep’ behavior. Refusing to acknowledge his statement, he asked, “Has anyone been bothering you recently?”
“Yep,” Kaeya said, popping the ‘p.’
“Who?” Diluc demanded, senses on high-alert as he leaned forward in his chair.
Tilting his head to the side, Kaeya hummed in thought, before saying, “Super pasty, about six foot, red hair.”
Diluc scowled, crossing his arms as he relaxed back in his chair. Still, the delighted laughter from the other was worth the joke at his expense. Kaeya’s stress had doubled ever since his failed presentation with his psychology teacher. It really had been too long since he’d last seen the other happy.
Stabbing into his salad, Kaeya asked, “Really though, Luc, what’s with the looks?”
Poking around his plate, Diluc tried to find an answer within his own soggy lettuce leaves. He knew that any mention of children would be immediately shot down from Kaeya. In fact, Diluc could already imagine that look of horror on Kaeya’s face at the mere thought of them.
He also knew that it was often better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. Not that Kaeya would ever find out it was his fault.
The small salad shop on campus was really not the place to have the oncoming conversation, but Diluc reasoned it wouldn’t be overly explicit, saying, “When’s the last time I had you, Kaeya?”
The other stopped mid bite, eyes darting around. Seeing that no one immediately turned around to give them disgusted looks, Kaeya heavily swallowed and whispered, “Really, Luc?”
Speaking softly as well, Diluc answered, “It’s been over a month.”
“I’ve been on the opening shift recently.”
“You have Mondays off.”
“My room—”
“We can go to my place,” Diluc cut him off. He didn’t like feeling like he was pushing the other man for sex, but it truly wasn’t what it was about entirely. Telling him as much, he said, “We don’t get a lot of time together these days, Kae. I just want to feel close to you.”
Kaeya took his time eating for a moment, mulling over an answer. Finally, he settled on, “Your place always gives me the creeps. It feels like the set of some horror movie.”
It was a sentiment that Kaeya had shared before, and Diluc supposed he could see where he was coming from. The people who came to his family’s manor always either loved it or absolutely hated it. It was an old house, seemingly stuck in the time that it was built with stone gargoyles outside and patterned velvet curtains inside. Kaeya’s main issue with it was how empty it was, as Diluc had sent away most of the staff after his father died.
Diluc said, “I’ll really feel like an old creep if you make me take you to some hotel.”
Diluc raised an eyebrow, as Kaeya was suspiciously quiet. He had at least expected a chuckle from the other. Looking at the other man, he felt a delighted smile pull at his lips, seeing the calculating look on the other’s face.
“Kaeya,” Diluc said, voice high in teasing, “Don’t tell me you actually want me to take you to a hotel.”
A blush steadily rose to the other’s cheeks and ears, as he argued, “What? They have some really nice ones in the city and it looks kind of romantic online, okay? I’m not asking you to take me to some motel. “
Mocking smile softening into something sweeter, Diluc reached for the other’s hand across the table. “I would never take you to a motel. Pick out whichever one you want and I’ll book it.”
Kaeya bit his lip, blush deepening. He had the same nervous and self-conscious look he got whenever he did end up asking for something, so Diluc was quick to pull out his phone. If he gave Kaeya enough time, he would inevitably end up backing out of it.
Pulling up ones he remembers going to for business conferences, Diluc picked the most expensive one he found and made the reservation without blinking, saying, “Nevermind, it’s already booked.”
“Luc, what?” Kaeya gaped. “I was just being silly, you didn’t actually have to—”
Kaeya’s phone buzzed from across the table with Diluc saying, “I emailed you the details. Just pack an overnight bag and I’ll pick you up from your apartment on Sunday.”
Kaeya picked up his phone, eyes quickly scanning over the email. Biting his lip to shreds, he asked, “Are you sure?”
“Of course,” Diluc confidently responded.
After all, he didn’t spend an hour at the local pharmacy trying to find a harmless pill to replace his birth control with. If they waited too long to have sex, Kaeya’s heat would hit soon.
_____
The drive over to Kaeya’s apartment was familiar, but no less unpleasant than the first time Diluc visited him.
Like with any big city, Mondstadt City carried a certain amount of filth within it. If you were lucky, you had enough money to escape it. If not, you were forced to live in it.
Eyeing the shady dealings happening in the alleys he passed and those left out on the streets, Diluc knew that it was no place for an omega— his omega—much less a child. In due time though, his patience would pay off.
Pulling up to the front entrance to Kaeya’s apartment, Diluc found him waiting outside with his bag. He was quick to stop the car and usher Kaeya inside, saying, “I told you I would come up and get you. You shouldn’t be standing out in the street.”
Kaeya sighed, dumping his bag in the backseat. “I wasn’t out in the street, I was literally right next to the door. I’ve lived here for two years, there’s no need to be such a worrywart.”
Putting the car back in drive, Diluc held Kaeya’s hand over the center console and took off, eager to leave the neighborhood. “Agree to disagree,” Diluc said, expertly navigating back onto the main street. “It’ll take about an hour with traffic to get to the hotel. You can go ahead and sleep, I’ll wake you up when we get there.”
Yawning at just the prospect of sleep, Kaeya rubbed his thumb over the back of Diluc’s hand, saying, “I don’t want you to get bored on the drive. I’ll keep you company.”
Diluc hummed in thanks, spying the omega from the corner of his eye. It was early spring and the late afternoon winds were sure to rip through the thin sweater the other was wearing. The redhead had already turned on his seat warmer and upped the heater in the car in preparation. He could see the way that the soft music and cozy environment was pulling down the other’s eyelids. Otherwise keeping quiet, Diluc turned up the stereo minutely, letting the soft tones draw the other fully into sleep.
…
“—ya, Kaeya, wake up,” Diluc softly called the omega awake.
Kaeya’s long eyelashes fluttered, then he winced as he sat up, no doubt feeling a kink in his neck due to the car seat.
“We’re here, Starlight.”
“I fell asleep?” Kaeya pouted.
“You had a long day, it’s alright,” Diluc said. Offering him a hand, DIluc helped him out of the car, finishing, “Let’s go get some dinner now.”
Kayea was still disoriented from his sudden waking as he stepped out of the car, squinting against the bright lights of the hotel entrance. Diluc allowed him some time to wake up, as he spoke with the valet and checked into the hotel. Once his keys were handed over and their bags were on the way up to their room, Diluc pulled Kaeya over to the elevator.
“Where are we eating?” Kaeya asked.
“There’s a steakhouse on one of the upper floors.” Flicking his wrist to view his watch, Diluc was pleased to say, “We should be right on time for our reservation.”
Kaeya nodded, holding tighter onto his hand. Oftentimes, Diluc found it was easiest to give Kaeya as little options as possible. Of course, Diluc would always take his likes and opinions into account, but Kaeya had an awful habit of getting lost in his endless streams of thoughts. They twisted and turned around each other until he came to the worst possible conclusion, leaving him to constantly second guess and back out of the things that he truly wanted out of some convoluted sense that he didn’t truly deserve or need them.
When the elevator dinged to signal their arrival, the two stepped out in tandem. Walking down the hallway to the restaurant, Kaeya tugged on Diluc’s hand to pull him to a stop. Looking around at the floor to ceiling windows and the other couples walking around, Kaeya whispered, “You should have told me we were going someplace nice, I would have dressed up a little more.”
Diluc rubbed the back of his neck in mock apology, timidly saying, “I’m sorry, Kae, I guess I didn’t think to, since I already sent you the hotel we were going to. I thought it would be assumed.”
It could be played off as an honest misunderstanding on both their parts. Kaeya assuming that they would just be going up to the room, and Diluc assuming that Kaeya knew they would be having a night out in a nice hotel. However, that wasn’t entirely the case.
Diluc could confidently say that Kaeya was the most beautiful man he has ever seen, no matter what he was wearing. Looking at him now, in his faded, dark jeans and worn sweater, Diluc didn’t hold any qualms about walking into the steakhouse with him. The way Kaeya hunched in on himself, seemingly trying to hide away from everyone else, told Diluc that he didn’t necessarily agree. It was a cruel way to teach it, but Diluc found it a necessary lesson for him to learn.
Kaeya was confident in himself and his abilities, proud of where he was because he got there all by himself. Sometimes, Diluc found that pride blinded him to his actual situation. He lived in the worst part of the city in an apartment that he could still barely afford, he often skipped meals because money was too tight, and yet, he still refused all of Diluc’s offers for help.
Dressed in a fine suit with shined shoes, Diluc found this the best way to show him the bitter reality of the contrast between them.
Any other time, Diluc would have used it as an excuse to spoil him, taking Kaeya down to one of the stores on the lower levels and buying anything he laid his eyes on. Now, however, Diluc let go of his hand to grab him by his waist instead, holding him tight to his side. He would make sure that the lesson truly sank in.
“Luc, I’m not that hungry, let’s just go back to the room,” Kaeya hurried out, reluctantly letting himself be pulled along.
“Really? What’d you eat today then?” Diluc asked, unapologetically leading them towards the hostess.
“I—well, I think—”
“Exactly,” Diluc said, knowing that it really meant nothing . If he wasn’t literally walking them into a restaurant as they spoke, he would have been furious.
“Diluc, ple—”
“Reservation for Ragnvindr.”
“Welcome in, Mr Ragnvindr. Your table will be right this way.”
Kaeya quieted himself as they followed after the hostess. His embarrassed pout quickly dropped into an irritated glare. It appeared that Diluc had some damage control to do.
“Here you are. The server will be right out to take your drink orders. I hope you enjoy your dinner!”
“Thank you.”
As the hostess walked away, Diluc turned toward the very displeased omega across from him. Kaeya leaned heavily back in his seat with his arms crossed over his chest. He said nothing, but the look on his face conveyed all that Diluc needed to know.
“You look fine, baby,” DIluc said softly.
“I don’t care. It’s embarrassing.” Kaeya said simply.
Laying his open hand across the table, Diluc felt a twinge of guilt in his stomach. Despite everything, he had wanted to give Kaeya a good night out, not humiliate him.
“It’s better this way, don’t you think?” Diluc said, reaching further for him. “If you had dressed up, I would be too busy staving people off to be able to enjoy our dinner.”
Kaeya rolled his eyes and looked out the massive window next to them. Still, Diluc could see the telltale signs of a blush beginning to redden his ears.
Reaching far enough that he was nearly hunched over the table, Diluc opened and closed his hand obnoxiously, whining, “Kaeya, please, I’m sorry.”
Catching sight of Diluc laid over the table, Kaeya jumped, blush deepening as he snapped, “Diluc, sit up.”
Doing no such thing, Diluc insistently held his hand out for Kaeya. The other growled, grabbing his hand hard enough for the bones to creak, turning the other’s victorious smile into more of a wince. Mission accomplished, Diluc finally ceased his shameless display and sat in his seat with the perfect posture ingrained in him since his youth.
“God, Luc, you’re more embarrassing than my outfit,” Kaeya groaned in irritation. However, it slowly dissipated when he saw the look on Diluc’s face, finding that to be the entire point of his scene. Rolling his eyes with a hint of fondness this time, Kaeya said, “You’re ridiculous.”
Soon enough the waiter came around to ask for their drinks. Although he saw Kaeya eyeing the wine menu, Diluc was quick to order them two of their signature teas.
As soon as the waiter left, Kaeya sighed, “I know you have some vendetta against wine, but there’s no need to force me to share in your sobriety.”
Lifting their interlocked hands, Diluc kissed the back of Kaeya’s hands, letting his lips brush against his skin as his said, “I want you completely sober for what I have planned tonight.”
It was the truth, just not in the way that Kaeya assumed. He did like Kaeya to be clear headed for their more intense sessions. But, he also didn’t want anything to impede Kaeya's conception.
Kaeya quietly obliged with a nod, hunger clear in his eyes. Diluc matched him with a dark look of his own, giving Kaeya’s hand a promising squeeze before unlatching his hand. Opening the food menu, Diluc remembered his primary goal, to get his stubborn omega to eat.
He answered the other’s spattered questions, long used to their insistence on using Fontaine’s language to make themselves sound fancy. He gave a few suggestions and warnings on some foods to stay away from, before they each made their own selections, ordering as the waiter returned with their drinks.
When the food came, the smell was enough to actually entice Kaeya into eating, instead of just poking around at his food. He wondered if the quality of food had something to do with Kaeya’s behavior. He supposed if he spent his entire life eating stale and bland food, he wouldn’t have much enthusiasm for eating either. Once Kaeya finally accepted his place in Diluc’s household, he would be able to test that theory. Either way, there was no chance that he would be able to resist Adelinde’s cooking.
As Kaeya eagerly bit into the decadent meat, Diluc idly asked, “Did you ever manage to meet with your psychology professor?”
Kaeya slowed his chewing, looking to the side as he said, “I did. It went about as well as I expected it to.”
“Were you able to figure things out with your grade?”
Humming indistinctly, Kaeya asked, “How’s your steak?”
“It’s good.” Diluc allowed him to change the subject. The end of the semester was coming up in a couple of months, so he supposed he would find out one way or another. He had no need to upset Kaeya a second time that night.
After their cut-off conversation about his professor, Kaeya’s demeanor changed minutely. Running the tip of his foot up and down over Diluc’s calf, Kaeya made their reason for being in a hotel clear.
It was near laughable, the way Kaeya’s beat-up Converse pushed up the pant leg of his Italian suit, but Diluc found his pants tightening all the same. Perhaps it was because it had been over a month since he last had the omega underneath him. Or perhaps it was just because it was Kaeya, but Diluc found himself stuttering over his words as he asked the omega if he wanted dessert.
Kaeya looked utterly amused at the other question. Pulling the other’s chair closer with his foot, Kaeya’s foot brushed his inner thigh. Looking at him over his drink with hooded eyes, Kaeya’s lips looked positively plump and sinful as they wrapped around the lip of his glass. Swallowing heavily, he set it down and airily said, “Let’s just say that the meeting with my professor went really bad, and I’m feeling too impatient for you to fuck it out of me to have dessert.”
“Right, fuck, I’ll just get the check,” Diluc said, already twisting his head around to find the waiter.
“You do that,” Kaeya said smugly.
Grabbing a business card from his pocket, Diluc scribbled his room number on the back and called the waiter over. After telling them to bill the check to his room, Diluc was quick to pull Kaeya up and out of the restaurant.
Leaning his head back against the mirrored wall of the elevator, Kaeya allowed Diluc to nose his way along his throat, laughing, “Someone’s impatient.”
Biting his earlobe, Diluc growled, “From what you said, I’m not the impatient one.”
Reaching a hand between them, Kaeya grabbed the fat bulge in Diluc’s pants, challenging, “Oh really?”
Grinding against Kaeya’s hand, Diluc shoved his thigh between Kaeya’s legs, saying, “Don’t act like I can’t smell it. You’re absolutely dripping , aren’t you, Kaeya?”
Kaeya’s answering moan was cut off by the dinging of the elevator. Diluc tugged him out before the doors even opened all the way. Their penthouse suite wasn’t hard to locate, as one of the only two on the floor. Once the door was unlocked and closed behind them, Kaeya was pressed against it as Diluc devoured his lips with his own.
Diluc had to keep firm hands on his hips, as the omega melted against the door. He was completely pliant to Diluc’s ministrations, offering no resistance to the tongue that pushed between his lips. Kaeya’s answering moan tickled his lips, as he swirled his tongue with the other’s own and licked across his gums. Once Diluc got his fill of the omega’s warm and wet mouth, he pulled away.
Leaning fully against the door, Kaeya panted heavily with a thin line of spit still connecting the two of them. Removing one of his hands from his hips, Diluc slipped his thigh back between the other’s legs to support him. Without wasting any time, Kaeya began to hump against him, moaning unconstrained.
Smirking at the blatant display of desperation, Diluc slipped a hand between them to undo the fly of Kaeya’s pants and shove his way inside. Lace tickled his fingers and he pushed past that as well to finally find his prize. Cupping his wet cunt, Diluc felt it pulsing in need against his palm. Running his middle and ring fingers between his lips, he brought it up between them.
Letting the slick on his fingers shine against the lights, Diluc said, “Drenched, just like I thought.”
Kaeya’s legs clenched Diluc’s thigh in a bruising grip, furiously trying to get pressure where he needed it most. “Just for you,” the omega gasped out. “Please, I’m so wet for you.”
Kaeya always developed the filthiest mouth whenever he set his mind on getting something, long used to using his looks and his charms to his advantage. Diluc counted himself lucky that he was on the receiving end of his provocations, and had a few of his own up his sleeve.
Making sure Kaeya kept eye contact with him, Diluc pressed his slick coated fingers into his mouth, sucking them clean. Pulling them free, he sighed, “Just as sweet as I remember.”
Whimpering, Kaeya pleaded again, “Please, Alpha .”
Growing impatient as well, Diluc took a reluctant step back to order, “Strip and get on the bed.”
For a minute, Kaeya leaned motionless against the door, trying to catch his breath. When he looked to Diluc again, much of the foggy lust in his eyes had cleared, replaced with pointed seduction. Slowly, his hands ran down his body to grasp the ends of his sweater, before pulling it over his head. Then, they went back down to slide his pants the rest of the way off. As Kaeya stepped away from the pile of clothes, Diluc found himself swallowing against the flood of saliva that filled his mouth, nearly drooling at the sight.
Lines of deep blue lace and satin criss-crossed against his bronze skin in a beautiful display. A dainty bralette hid his perky nipples from view, while a garter belt accentuated the borderline unhealthy dip in his waist. Attached to the clips were two gauzy stockings, and a pair of skimpy panties hung off his hips. From where Diluc was standing, the growing wet spot on them was impossible to miss.
Side stepping Diluc’s wandering hands, Kaeya walked towards the bed with an extra sway to his hips, allowing Diluc to fully appreciate the view of his lace-wrapped skin. Once he got to the bed, he crawled atop it on his hands and knees. Arching his back, he looking over his shoulder breathily stating, “I want you to fuck me until I can’t think any more.”
Diluc groaned from deep in his throat, quickly undoing his belt. Ripping it from the loops, the buckled clanked loudly against the floor as it was tossed aside. His dick was hard enough to hurt, and he needed to be inside his omega five seconds ago.
He stripped himself of his slacks and briefs in one go, then snapped the buttons on his shirt as it joined them on the floor. Coming up to the bed, he manhandled the omega further up, so he had room to kneel behind him.
Slipping his pointer fingers under the garter belts, he pulled them back to snap against the others ass, then used rough hands to massage away the sting. Feeling the plump skin squish in his hold, Diluc groaned out, “The things you do to me, Kaeya.”
Sinking down from his hands to his elbows, Kaeya arched his back further, saying, “I know, I know. Now hurry up.”
Happy to oblige, the lace was easy to push aside and his omega was wet enough to push two fingers inside his tight pussy, right up to the second knuckle. Kaeya gasped loudly, tightening against his fingers, as if trying to pull them deeper inside. Taking the encouragement for what it was, Diluc built up a steady pace, fucking his fingers inside his cunt.
Pushing his hips back against the little that Diluc was giving him, Kaeya whined, “Fuck, more .”
“Impatient, just like I said,” Diluc gloated, scissoring his fingers apart and adding another on the next thrust.
Kaeya moaned in bliss, rocking against Diluc’s hand to fuck himself on his fingers. Keeping his hand still, Diluc enjoyed the display. When Kaeya’s hips began to falter, Diluc fisted his garter belt and used it to roughly pull Kaeya back against his fingers, taking over the pace.
Kaeya’s walls spasmed against him at the rough fucking, head shooting back with a moan. “Inside,” he slurred. “Puh-Please, ins-side!”
Ripping his fingers free, Diluc let go of the garter belt to plant a hand on Kaeya’s chest, lifting him up to press against his chest. As Kaeya’s head lolled back against his shoulder, mouth open around heaving breaths, Diluc shoved his drenched fingers in his mouth.
“See how good you taste?” Diluc said, fucking Kaeya’s mouth with his fingers the same way he did his pussy.
Kaeya could do nothing but moan and babble around the fingers shoved deep into his throat. Diluc enjoyed seeing what a mess he could turn the omega into, watching as a mix of drool and slick dripped down his chin despite how desperately he tried to suck it all up. Feeling generous, Diluc decided to help him by licking away some of the mess.
Once Diluc was satisfied, he slipped his fingers out from between Kaeya’s lips. As he allowed him some time to catch his breath, the hand on Kaeya’s chest moved to the side to grab at one of his lace clad breasts. It was unhealthily flat like the rest of him with his fingers catching the feel of his ribs, but Diluc comforted himself with images of them filled with their pup’s milk.
A low groan sounded out, as Diluc lost himself in the thought of Kaeya bred and leaking. He roughly massaged and groped Kaeya’s small tit, rutting up against his ass. Lost in his delusions, he got the phantom feel of his breast plump and full in his hand.
“Fuck, Luc!” Kaeya’s cry brought him back to reality.
Caught between his rutting hips and rough hands, he withered around, not knowing whether to chase the sparks of pleasure or shy away from the pain. Honestly, his omega could be quite the little masochist most days, loving the way Diluc would toss him around and maneuver him like his very own doll. Perhaps it was the submissive side of him that was part of being an omega, or perhaps it was the broken part of him that was born from being abandoned as a child. Either way, Diluc was all too happy to comply.
Impatience reaching its peak, Kaeya forced a hand down on the mattress and let his back dip into a dangerously low arch. Spreading his legs, Kaeya fought to rub his aching cunt against Diluc’s length, trying to get it where he needed it most. Diluc felt the last of his blood rush south, seeing Kaeya whining and pushing his pink pussy against him. He wondered what Kaeya would look like in heat, if this was him normally.
Kaeya yelped as he was abruptly flipped onto his back—missionary was the best position for pregnancy after all—with his panties torn off and knees pushed up to his chest. From there, Diluc wasted no time stuffing his pussy full of his cock. Kaeya’s head shot back as he did, eyes rolling back in bliss at the feel of his tight walls getting pushed aside and stretched to the max.
Shoving himself fully inside with two rough thrusts, Diluc fought to control himself to give Kaeya time to adjust. Kaeya felt like absolute heaven around him, warm walls fluttering around him and massaging his painfully hard cock. No matter how many times they did this, he never grew tired of the sight of Kaeya’s pussy stretching obscenely around his cock. The chubby lips of his cunt and the little bump of his clit were swollen in arousal with slick dripping onto the sheets below.
Unable to help himself, Kaeya moaned weakly as his flexible legs were spread further apart, all so Diluc could get a better view. He roughly grabbed the short hairs on the back of Diluc’s neck in retaliation, pussy clenching along with his fingers. With hazy eyes and a hoarse voice, Kaeya demanded, “Move.”
With his allowance, the sound of wet slapping filled the room as Diluc began to thrust. There was no doubt that Kaeya would bruise from the merciless way the alpha slammed his hips against him, fighting to get as deep inside as possible. The force of it was enough to force the slight omega up the bed, only to be pulled back down by the alpha’s rough grip around his thighs.
Kaeya’s favorite part about the way the alpha fucked him was the consistency. Each thrust was just as deep and powerful as the last, hitting just where he wanted it. He was unfaltering in his rhythm, fucking hard and fast in the perfect way that made his head go blank.
Diluc could see the exact moment the omega let himself go to the feeling. His choked and cut off cries became utterly unconstrained, sounding like music to Diluc’s ears as little “ah, ah, ah’s” were punched out with each thrust. His head fell to the side, going limp in the unending pleasure while he drooled onto the sheets. It was a state that Diluc dearly missed seeing him in.
“Ngh, ah, f-uck!” Kaeya gasped, looking lost as his hands clenched in the sheets.
His thighs began twitching and jerking in Diluc’s hold, signaling his oncoming orgasm. Diluc was all too happy to help him along. Letting one thigh fall to the bed, Diluc pushed the other up and out, unhooding his cute little button. Maintaining his thrusts, Diluc rubbed his thumb in tight circles around it to the same rhythm.
Kaeya flinched as if shocked by the added pleasure. His hips moved wildly, bucking up into Diluc’s hand and down onto his cock. Thighs shaking around him, Diluc watched the muscles in his stomach periodically clench in spikes of pleasure, orgasm rolling onto him at full force.
Hands ripping at the sheets, Kaeya shook his head, frantically calling, “I can’t, Luc! Ah, a-ah, AH! I can’t!”
“Cum, omega,” Diluc ordered, ignoring his cries.
When Kaeya’s cunt clenched impossibly tight around him, Diluc’s answering groan was drowned out by Kaeya’s scream.
It was addictive, watching the omega lose himself to the pleasure. Still rubbing his clit, Diluc removed his cock upon feeling pressure against it. As soon as he did, Kaeya squirted all over himself and Diluc, whining all the while and leaving them both drenched.
Once Diluc was sure that Kaeya had fully ridden out his orgasm, eyes drooping in exhaustion, he pressed the omega’s knees onto the mattress, folding him into a mating press. Flinching as his sore muscles were put to the test once more, Kaeya’s eyes shot open to look at Diluc wearily.
Smirking down at him, Diluc said, “It’s cute that you think we’re already finished, baby.”
“I just came,” Kaeya weakly argued.
Still clad in his ruined lingerie and looking wide-eyed up at Diluc, Kaeya looked like nothing more than prey caught in his trap. Then again, considering the plans Diluc had for the omega, he supposed he was.
“I haven’t,” Diluc retorted, playfully cruel. “We’re not stopping until I do.”
“Ngh, no more,” Kaeya whined as Diluc easily slipped himself back inside.
Despite his words, Diluc saw the way Kaeya bit his lip, eagerly looking to where they were connected. Grabbing one of his limp hands, Diluc brought it between them. Pressing his dainty fingers against the root of Diluc’s cock and the obscene stretch of his walls.
“Feel that, Kae? Feel the way your pussy fits so well around me? It’s like you were made for me.”
Kaeya let out a high pitched sigh at his words, clenching tight around him. Diluc slowly pulled back to sharply thrust back inside, letting Kaeya feel the drag of his cock against his finger tips. After a few thrusts, his fingers moved up higher to play with his clit, eyes closing and head falling back.
The other man was never satisfied with a single orgasm. His first always left Kaeya pliant and desperate for more, and Diluc was always happy to deliver.
Nearly pressing Kaeya flat against the mattress, Diluc pressed himself chest to chest with the omega and returned his hand to the back of Kaeya’s thigh. From this position, he was able to mercilessly fuck down into the omega, making sure his cock was stuffed right up against his womb.
Kaeya let out what was close to a sob when Diluc began fucking him in earnest again. With the alpha on top of him, he could barely even squirm. He could do nothing more than dig his nails into the broad muscles of his shoulders, holding on for dear life as the other thrusted into him like an animal.
The bed creaked and jerked wildly with the force of Diluc’s thrusts, complimenting the beautifully broken sounds coming from his omega. Diluc growled, feeling resistance coming from the place he needed to be, slowing his thrusts. Pulling Kaeya tight against him, he ground himself roughly into him, trying to breach the tight passage of his cervix. All the while, Kaeya mumbled and moaned incoherently in his ear, all thoughts leaving his brain at Diluc’s deliciously rough treatment.
“Oh,” Kaeya froze. Diluc smirked, sensing that he had found his treasure. “Oh, ah , ohohOH!”
Kaeya rapidly lost himself as Diluc forced his way into his cervix, nails nearly drawing blood as his second orgasm came over him. Finally where he wanted to be, Diluc had no sympathy for the omega still jerking from the aftershocks. He shoved his cock hard and fast into the tight passage, desperate to cum knowing that his seed would end up right inside Kaeya’s womb.
When he felt Diluc’s knot begin to swell, Kaeya groaned and went limp, utterly spent. Diluc was deeper inside him than ever, and his knot was rapidly expanding, catching on his sensitive walls. If his alpha didn’t cum soon, he’d end up going crazy from the overstimulation.
The rough grunts and cut off moans he could hear from the other told him that Diluc was close. Feeling the pleasure building in his core like a wildfire and tingling up his spine in sporadic jolts, Kaeya didn’t know if it was a good or bad thing. Everything was too good and too much, and Diluc’s knot was so big he didn’t know if he could take it. Thoughts fizzled in and out of Kaeya’s brain, never staying long before they were knocked out by another heavy thrust.
Once Diluc felt his knot reaching its peak, he shoved it past the final resistance of Kaeya’s rim. Fully expanded and tucked deep inside his omega, the two of them came in unison. Spilling his load inside of Kaeya, Diluc ground deep to make sure not a single drop escaped. Kaeya whined and mewled at the feeling of Diluc’s hot cum stuffing him to the brim, sensitive to the alpha’s every move.
Hearing the high-pitched pants the other was letting out, Diluc softly shushed Kaeya, who was looking terribly overwhelmed. With gentle lips, he kissed away the tear tracks glistening in twin trails down his cheeks.
“L-Luc, I’m so, s-so full,” Kaeya gasped, muscles twitching as he was still crammed into a mating press.
Wanting to keep him in position for the full time his knot was inside, Diluc gently massaged his thighs with his thumbs, but made no move to let him go. “You did so well, Kaeya. Such a good omega.”
Whining high in his throat, Kaeya shook his head deliriously and said, “You’re t-too deep.”
“Shh,” Diluc soothed, peppering kisses across his face, whispering, “You’re alright. Alpha’s got you. You did so, so well.”
Slowly, Kaeya’s gasping breaths began to even out with Diluc’s ministrations, omega relaxing into the bed. Diluc didn’t stop his soft touches and gentle words, even when the omega gave into exhaustion and passed out. He kept going until his knot finally deflated and he could ease his softened cock out of the other.
Kaeya winced slightly at the feeling, only to relax as his legs were lower back down to the bed. Still dozing, he made no move to help Diluc peel the sticky lace of his lingerie off him, simply humming in approval at its removal. Once that was out of the way, Diluc went to the ensuite to grab a warm towel to wipe the two of them off with. It certainly couldn’t beat a shower, but seeing how Kaeya laid boneless on the bed, it was the best they would get.
Satisfied with the clean up, Diluc climbed into bed behind Kaeya and pulled him tight to his chest. He was still just as boney as ever, but Diluc took his time caressing his stomach instead of his ribs. The only thing that could’ve made things better was if Kaeya had been in heat. Still, Diluc was assured of his night’s work.
Kaeya would be round with his pups soon enough.
