Chapter Text
“This was not how it was supposed to happen,” Valentine’s eyes flashed furiously as he gazed upon the Bard with a malevolent sort of desire. “You’re mine, Sebastian.” His fingers slammed on the piano keys, producing a deep gong that rang around the glass-covered room. “You’re mine. ” He pointed directly at the wary looking young man, looking almost crazed. The air around his hands began to shimmer and distort, making Sebastian blink dazedly at the vampire with an uncertain expression.
“ Present yourself to me, ” whispered Valentine, almost crooning it as he beckoned Sebastian with a curl of his claws.
The young man stood up from the piano bench, starting forward and beginning to pull down the collar of his shirt to reveal the column of his neck. Valentine’s eyes glittered in anticipation as the human came towards him, pulling Sebastian down to face level by his shirt.
“You. Are. Mine, ” murmured the vampire, trailing a finger down Sebastian’s cheek and marveling at the other’s rather fragile body. The human merely stared at him blankly. Within the next moment, he sank his teeth into the tantalizing pale throat and-

Sebastian’s eyes flew open upon the contact of tongue to throat, before pain exploded at the spot where his neck connected to his shoulders. A choked warble escaped him as the vampire grabbed aggressively at his hips, pulling the younger man onto his lap for easier access. Oh, Sebastian was awake. He was awake and everything hurt.
Was Valentine fucking purring? The teeth dug deeper into his skin, the fangs sinking into the muscle and making Sebastian seize in even more pain. A gurgling gasp tore from his throat as the vampire pressed his hips down even further, the Bard’s hands coming to grab at the back of Valentine’s hair.
Everything was starting to sparkle gray, white, and black as the vampire nuzzled even further into Sebastian’s neck. Whatever he was doing burned like nothing else, spreading from the point of contact to down his spine. It coiled and snap ped under his skin furiously, sparking to new heights. Valentine was swallowing heavily, as if he was frantically trying to get as much down as possible.
The being grabbed his head with a gentle pull to the side, making Sebastian give a weak whimpering gurgle. Everything was starting to prickle, and he felt strangely like he was about to collapse any moment. He wanted to sob with frustration, fear, and desperation. He wanted to push Valentine away, but he knew he wouldn’t have the strength for that. Nor did he want to potentially hurt himself further. He wanted Xander and his strange powers. He wanted Blueberry and her plants. He wanted Jett in all of his new dragon-like glory. Most of all, he wanted his mom. He wanted his dad.
Sebastian’s eyes watered heavily, gagging and choking on his own spit and blood. A deep hum reverberated from Valentine, of- of approval? The being shifted from underneath the musician, taking his legs and wrapping them around the vampire. There was a moment where Valentine lifted his head and Sebastian’s breath hitched wetly.
His own head lolled momentarily backwards, making eye contact with a horrified looking Xander.
“Xan-” he tried to gurgle, trying to lift one of his leaden limbs to reach for him.
The teeth latched to his throat again, piercing even deeper and producing even more of that horrible horrible burn. A sharp hitch of breath emitted from the Bard, his body slumping backwards as the pressure only intensified. It was so- why wasn’t- it released again and Sebastian couldn’t help the sigh that escaped him at the relief.
“ No! ” Valentine snarled so ferociously that Sebastian would have flinched heavily if he had been able to. He could feel the vampire wrap his arm around his waist, and then a sharp nip to the painful wound on his neck. “He is mine and mine alone! ”
The only thing Sebastian could really hear was the being that held him so possessively, the musician foggily taking in any other sound like it was nearly nonexistent. He took a deep, rattling breath that clawed painfully down his throat. He just wanted this pain to stop. Sebastian wanted to beg to the closest deity that would listen, wanted to pass out, wanted the inevitable to come just so that it would stop.
Instead, he rested his head on Valentine’s shoulder to try to relieve some of the weight that pulled him down. There was a deep croon from above, before a third sensation of teeth slipping beneath skin flooded his body. Only it wasn’t through his neck this time around. It was his left wrist. Valentine was holding his forearm as if it was something precious, the pain from the spot radiating up his arm and meeting with the terrible burn that was sinking into his muscles.
Sebastian wasn’t sure he could make sound anymore, with how it hurt. When had he closed his eyes? It was starting to hurt to breathe, especially through his mouth. The pain around his wrist flared into a brighter burn as the teeth were ripped from his wrist. Everything was starting to blur together and he was just.. He was?
Something thick, wet, and hot was sliding down his face. As he reached up to try to touch it in bewilderment, he noticed the red staining his wrist down to his elbow. Sebastian stared at his wrist, where a thick gash had been torn. Slowly, he blinked through the fog. Where was- what was-
“ SEBASTIAN! ”
