Work Text:

The newest season of Singles Inferno plays softly in the background along with pittering water from the bathroom and a muffled conversation. Snow falls gently outside and decorates  the window glass with small snowflakes.

“Mom, I don’t know about this,” Taehyung mumbles from bed, watching the steam pour from the bathroom while Jeongguk takes his post-gym shower accompanied by the awkwardness of the two contestants on his TV.

The lethargy from his mid-afternoon nap is still fading away the more he talks to his mother and the more he listens to Jeongguk’s honey voice dramatically sing to Twice’s best title tracks. Taehyung and Jeongguk have been dog sitting for Jeongguk’s older brother at Taehyung’s place ever since winter break started and since then, they’ve been lounging around, taking a much deserved break.

It’s been great. They wake up whenever, take the dogs out for a walk, play, cuddle, feed them. Jeongguk goes to the gym, Taehyung tries to join him, usually ending the night with a cooked meal or takeout and a rom-com selected by Jeongguk. Occasionally Jimin calls or Seokjin wants to drop off some grapes, thus turning it into a small get together with red solo cups filled with alcohol and music softly flowing from a speaker. But for the most part, it's only them.

To Taehyung, it feels like a little slice of paradise. Just him and this guy that he is irrevocably in love with. Living their lives and being happy together. No school to cause extra anxiety.

But all of that is about to change thanks to whatever Taehyung’s family is about to spring on them.

“Honey, it’s not even for one full day,” she chides, her huff clearer than ever. “Our entire family came down here for the holidays except for you and your cousin has plans to spend New Years with her friends but your aunt opted that you watch and hang out with her before she goes.” She says it way too simply, like she assumed Taehyung would have the slot opened for his baby cousin. “Just until she has to go be with her friends.”

He pouts, turning onto his back. “I know but I feel like she’s going to get bored or something,” Taehyung tries to explain. His head turns to the door of the bathroom as the younger hits a particularly savvy riff during his rendition of Cheer Up before the water turns off.

Part of him feels bad that he didn’t go to Daegu with his family like he’s done every year and see all of his younger cousins who have always been like his little siblings. But Jeongguk had to watch Bam and Taehyung just earned the trust of his parents to watch the house all by himself so it seemed like the best idea. Only now does he realize that the little ones probably wanted someone to build snowmen and make hot chocolate and put on a cheesy movie in the den. He’s always been the dependable older brother to them.

“Just because Jeongguk is around doesn’t mean you’ve completely lost your ability to be around your cousins,” he can hear his father chuckle in the background at his mother’s gentle scolding. .

For a second, Taehyung can picture himself in his grandmother’s comforting house back home where he spent his childhood. He can smell the fresh apple tarts and hear the sound of knives cutting fresh cabbage for kimchi along with the bright laughter of all the women squatting down in the kitchen. They’d tease him for mingling around, hungry and mischievous for a small snack before dinner time only to give in after seeing Taehyung’s puppy eyes and assuring his mother that a little bite won’t kill him. All of the men would sip wine and talk in the living room or go outside to gather fruits and wood for the fireplace. The house would be filled with noise and scented heavily with cooking apples from cider and jam. He does miss that marginally.

Although, being with Jeongguk feels eerily similar to those exact same sensations. Watching him hum by the coffee maker, the sizzling smell and sounds of him grilling cuts of meat with bouncy saucy noodles. Giggles in the morning when Taehyung’s cold feet burrow between Jeongguk’s thighs for warmth. Bam’s feet pattering against the wood, panting excitedly whenever he sees Jeongguk. The TV blaring a quirky variety show or a new anime that they’re binging together.

He’s making new fond memories now.

“We were going to watch the fireworks from here and then get dinner,” Taehyung fists the leg of his blue striped silk pajamas with small teddy bears printed on them (a gift from Namjoon).

Just something small and simple since Taehyung and Jeongguk have to go back to school in a week. No trips or anything major since they need time to settle back into their tiny dorms and back to student life.

“So then just dinner plans? I think this is doable.”  Taehyung clicks his tongue in thought. “Look, it’s just a small favor. Suri arrives and leaves on the same day. You can still celebrate and have fun, just keep an eye on her and make sure she’s okay.”

Taehyung ponders about it.

Maybe he’s being a bit over dramatic about it. He can spend three-four hours with his cousin. It’s nothing bad at all. He’s spent days with them on end and it’s not like Taehyung’s mother is forcing her to 3rd wheel with him and Jeongguk. It will be nice to hang out with her after not seeing her for almost a year. Even though she lives in Seoul Taehyung hasn’t had any time to go visit. He wants to see her. He wants to know about her life and if she still has a crush on Eren from Attack on Titan and all the cool new things she’s been doing.

Plus it’s another chance for more people to meet Jeongguk and see how fucking amazing he is.

“Okay yeah, you’re right,” he agrees, feeling a bit annoyed that someone else was once again right instead of him. “We can watch Suri.”

Her tone perks up in seconds.

“Perfect! I’ll have her drop off some leftovers from here. Your aunt and I made way too much food last night and there’s no way we’ll finish it all! There’s two types of kimchi. I packed both because I know Jeongguk really likes…” She begins to list off but Taehyung’s attention has easily drifted off.

Jeongguk appears from the bathroom during her explanation. Fully dressed in big sweatpants and a new hoodie with his growing hair dried and styled. Taehyung immediately focuses on him and feels the expansion of warmth fill his chest when his boyfriend smiles at him so softly.

6 months since they’ve been together and almost 9 months since Taehyung heard that fated voicemail that turned Jeongguk from an attractive guy he hated to an attractive, loveable, sweet caring guy that he loved.  Half of the time it doesn’t feel real. It feels like Taehyung is gliding through life at a glacial pace. Missing his, what he labeled as, textbook worry and hecticness that came with being a type A student trying to balance friends, extracurriculars and a boyfriend. Maybe it’s because he matured or because college requires less but demands more in other realms but it feels like Taehyung can stop to smell the roses when he can. Especially when his boyfriend is the one pointing them out.

He’s.. he’s the beam of golden light that shoots through thick muddy clouds after a rainstorm. He’s like a constant comforting warmth whenever Taehyung gets cold. Fiery and passionate.

A brush of warmth dusts his cheeks at the sight of his boyfriend and he beckons him forward with a single finger. And Taehyung can’t help but beam when he climbs on the bed, softly like a curious polar bear he looks around to make sure he isn’t stepping on any open limbs. He spreads his legs wider so Jeongguk can flop on top of him and Taehyung’s calves are wrapped snug around his back. The younger one lets out a soft giggle at the tickling sensation.

He’s sure his mother heard everything transpire because her voice perks up with the sound of a sickly sweet smile.

“Is that Jeongguk?” Her tone beams with a familiar motherly love that Taehyung finds homely when concerning the one he loves so much.

His lips find Jeongguk’s temple (whose face is currently buried in Taehyung’s neck) and presses them there before humming a response. “Mhmm. I’ll hand the phone to him.” He offers knowing that Jeongguk would like to know the plan and also chat with Taehyung’s mom for a bit. “Mom wants to say hi before she goes.”

Jeongguk’s head tilts to the side. His lips quirk up as he adjusts his hold and grabs the phone. “Hi Mom,” he says into the receiver, moreso laying on Taehyung’s chest than draped over him. “How’s everything back home?”

In the short distance, Taehyung can hear his mother’s classic joyous chipper and he feels flowers bloom in his chest.

There’s something about the way Jeongguk calls his mom Mom that makes him all fuzzy.

“Oh yeah, Taehyung and I have been taking good care of the place. Bam isn’t making too much of a mess besides all of those fancy pillows he tore up-no, I’m just kidding,” he giggles, sitting up to speak clearer. Jeongguk’s hand presses down on Taehyung’s chest when he poutily tries to grab for him, missing his warmth, hips canting up to press their crotches together. The laughter from the speakers is loud enough for Taehyung to hear. “No, he hasn’t told me yet.” There’s a pause, his eyes dance back and forth while listening. Taehyung stops moving too.“Oh. That shouldn’t be a problem at all. Yeah, we can take her to get ice cream and I can meet her officially. No issues.”

Fuck, Jeongguk is so easy.  He usually hates going with the flow, liking a schedule and a plan to abide by, but not even a drop of that worry comes across in his voice. He refuses to allow Taehyung’s mother to know that he is indifferent to this new change. It’s such an endearing trait but it tends to get him in trouble in other situations, i.e people taking advantage of him, but this is another case altogether.

He cheeses. “Of course. Tell everyone I said Happy New Year.” Jeongguk notices Taehyung staring and winks cheekily at him. “Alright then, goodbye.” The phone pulls down and he presses the red button, tossing the device on the soft mattress before his two hands come to hold him up by Taehyung’s head. “Looks like your cousin is staying with us. We’ll have to leave Bam upstairs so he doesn’t get too excited and jump on her.”

“Are you sure you’re okay with it? You can tell me the truth,” Taehyung presses softly, denting Jeongguk’s back with the tips of his fingers in a half-assed massage.

“It’s just a couple of hours, Tae. I can totally handle that. Can you?” His voice lilts with the beginning of teasing. A look spreads on his handsome face, one Taehyung knows way too well.

“She’s my cousin,” he clarifies with way too much bratty attitude. Maybe it was intentional.

(Hint: it was.)

“Hmm and by the end of Saturday, I’ll be the favorite.”

Taehyung’s eyes roll automatically. “Just because my parents love you doesn’t mean my extended family will too.”

Taehyung and Jeongguk have both been practically adopted by the other’s parents ever since they first met for lunch back in the Summer. Jeongguk’s mother quite literally told him that she thinks Taehyung is the cutest thing on the entire planet and if they broke up she’d “lose her shit.” While Taehyung’s father is excited that there is someone in the family who follows sports as much as he did so the FIFA world cup was a time of a lot of yelling video calls and crouched sitting on the couch. It’s a happy union and both of them are glad that their families accept the other with open arms, blending in instantly to the point where it doesn’t even feel weird.

But these two idiots are competitive as fuck. So the remarks of adoration somehow turned into a little match between them. Each one keeps a tally without any real score but more of a random one-up stored in their arsenal whenever so they can tease the other.

You know, since you can never really measure a family’s love.

These mini competitions practically form the base of Taehyung and Jeongguk’s entire relationship. From who can clean the dishes faster to who does better on their final exams, anything and everything is still a battle between them. Only now, instead of it turning viscous with a side of unrequited love and voicemails, it’s much more light hearted.

If Taehyung gets home faster, Jeongguk will give him a massage before bed. If Jeongguk gets a higher score on a test, Taehyung is on dish duty for three days (even though he usually is on dish duty).

Keeps things fair and very fun.

“Shall we turn this into a game?” Jeongguk’s head tilts. He’s still hovering above Taehyung and not closer to him, kissing him, which drives this tight tension to twist even more.

“A game?”

“Yeah. Whoever comes up with the most fun activity to do with her gets whatever they want. To keep it fair, we’ll ask her and she won’t know who came up with it.”

“Okay,” Taehyung giggles. This sounds like a challenge and Taehyung loves challenges. His hands drag down from Jeongguk’s collarbones to his stomach in a sensual pattern. “And if, sorry when I win, I can get anything I want?”

“You already do angel,” Jeongguk leans down, brushes his nose against Taehyung’s, “but yeah, anything.”  It’s concerning how one puppy-eyed look from him tugs at his stomach until he’s nothing but a pile of useless goo. Taehyung holds way too much power over him.

“So if I wanted you to fuck me against the balcony door, you would.” Taehyung drops boldly.

“Y-yes,” he stutters out. His eyes go wide, lips parting like they always do when he’s shocked. “I didn’t know you were into that.”

Truth be told, Taehyung didn’t know either until he was Face-timing with Seokjin and Namjoon and the latter spilled a spicy tale of what occurred on the first day of Winter break and how Yoongi sobbed so loud that his neighbor thought someone died. It involved a single game of Monopoly and those shady looking “male enhancement” pills from the drugstore. Taehyung’s eyes popped out of his sockets the entire time and he was way too shy to recount the story to Jeongguk later since it was too much even for him.

Then he started thinking about it. Sex with Jeongguk is great, like always, and he is consistently satisfied no matter how they have it. But he realized that he and Jeongguk never crossed lines into something new, something a little weirder. It would be nothing short of a great time but it was always awkward for him to convey it without getting all shy. Taehyung didn’t want Jeongguk to think that he was bored with their sex. He could never be. So he figured that turning it into a small competition would be easier.

“I’m into lots of things baby,” his fingers trace Jeongguk’s cheekbone. “Figuring them out is half the fun.”

Like a never ending puzzle!

Jeongguk grins and a few wisps of  hair fall over his eyes. “I’m excited.” His hands smooth down Taehyung’s thighs that are wrapped snugly around his waist, traveling down until they reach underneath and grab handfuls, eliciting a soft gasp. “ I could spend forever between these thighs,” his voice dropping to a gravely tone.

Taehyung feels his stomach somersault, both at Jeongguk’s tone and at his wandering hands. It’s honestly fucking disrespectful that his boyfriend can do the smallest thing and he folds. But he can’t let him know that.

“As if I’d let you take that long,” Taehyung teases.

“Wanna time it? I could make you cry into these sheets in minutes, angel.” And the way Jeongguk’s eyes zing with tension are enough for Taehyung to not question him further.

Taehyung wants to take him up on that offer. Trust, he knows Jeongguk could and would and he knows that getting fucked to the brink of tears is the best time to spend his day. The thought turns his blood hot, mouth parting just a bit as Jeongguk’s eyes travel up and down his disheveled frame.

His eyes zero in on Jeongguk’s lips and the arms around his neck slowly tug him down to take him up on that promise, that challenge.

Because there would be nothing better than Jeongguk putting Taehyung right in his place, just like he likes. Like he’s been doing the entire break they’ve spent together.

The surfaces of their lips barely graze. Breaths pouring into each other’s mouths, hot and wanton. Taehyung cants his hips to press them together some more and it’s just the briefest stimulation.

But they are interrupted by his phone ringing.

With a groan, Taehyung pulls back to look at the ID and see that it’s a facetime call from his petty ex, Haru, who tends to drunk call and beg for a second chance. Often whining and complaining that Taehyung was the best thing that happened to him and leaving him was a big mistake.

It’s quite the confidence boost for Taehyung. Being told over and over again that his ex can’t do better than him and never will. Just a constant reminder that he will always be the best for Haru.

However, his current boyfriend isn’t a big fan of this.

“Ugh, fuck off already,” Jeongguk curses, reaching over and pressing that red decline button for the second time so he can get back to what he was originally doing.

Fucking Taehyung much better than Haru ever could.

December 31, 2022.

“Is that a fucking juul?” Jeongguk whispers, staring at Suri sitting in the seat behind the driver’s through the rearview mirror. Taehyung, watching in horror, nods slowly at the absolute mess occurring behind them.

His sweet little cousin, little Suri who used to like anime and silly magic tricks and stealing strawberries from the fridge without their grandmother finding out, is now inhaling cool mint flavored nicotine and head-bopping to swanky, bass-boosting, edgy music blaring from the radio. Her hair has purple streaks in it and her clothes are dark and trendy, like the ( much ) older girls Taehyung sees on his TikTok for you page.

For a second, Taehyung didn’t recognize the girl he picked up from the train station. The wind whooshes by from the fast bullet train, causing their hair to fluff up. It’s cold and muggy and crowded as he looked for the person he remembered, not the one that appeared in front of him. He even did a small double take when Suri smacked the bright pink gum between her lips and gave him a stare filled with teenage angst and attitude as she dropped her bags on the ground. Raising a single brow at his no doubt funny looking expression that didn’t drop until Jeongguk cleared his throat awkwardly.

“So,” she said, nose held high in the air with confidence, “which one of you losers are going to carry my stuff for me?” Her eyes switched off between the two of them and then landed on Jeongguk. Then her chin jutted to the bag. “You do it.”

Then she sauntered off in the direction of the parking lot without saying much else. Taehyung stood there dumbfounded for two seconds.

Well, that was not what he expected.  Jeongguk mirrored his exact expression until they both turned to each other.

There was a moment of mutual understanding that today was going to be quite the interesting day if Suri was going to continue to totally dismiss them instead of going along with the action packed schedule Taehyung and Jeongguk spent a while making.

“Do you mind carrying the bags?” Taehyung asked with a gentle hand on his shoulder.

Jeongguk shook his head. “Nah, these look light. Lets try and catch up to her so she isn’t waiting again,” his chin jutted to her already being ahead of them.

Taehyung panicked and started to lightly jog to catch up to her before she got lost. Jeongguk laughed at the visual and then picked up her luggage and walked in silence to the parked car. He didn’t realize that she just insulted them in the first sentence she spoke to them until he got to the car and his face scrunched up. Taehyung chuckled softly at him and the way he plops in the driver’s seat.

Only to then be met with the horror of seeing a thirteen year old smoking.

Taehyung nearly started choking as the car fills with the scent of mint and tobacco, watching as she did some trick inhaling it in and then having it pour out at a slow pace. Jeongguk’s lips part, eyes going cutely wide, because this was the last thing they expected.

Suri tapping away on her phone with her juul clutched in the same hand. It’s occupying her attention greatly so she doesn’t even realize that the other two are gawking at her.

“Off we go then,” Jeongguk murmurs. He puts the key in the ignition and takes the aux cord out from the center console to play something  that might break some of this awkward ice.

But then Suri grabs the aux cord and connects her phone to play her music.

“I wanna play music,” she decides clearly and final. The cord, with a bear cable protector, is now plugged into Suri’s blinged out phone and she starts filing through her Spotify to pick the best song.

Neither of them say anything but they nod in unison. It’s fine. It’s just one time.

Jeongguk turns the volume dial to a level that is normal for him and Taehyung and waits for something to come up.

But the music Suri decides to put on? Absolutely awful.

Straight up noise. Like hyperpop but extreme hyperpop. Ten times more base, more screech, more autotune marbled voices. Jeongguk’s chin pulls back and Taehyung jumps in his seat from how loud and off putting the song starts off before jumping to decrease the volume to a less harsh level.

Suri is loving it. She knows all the words, her head is bopping.

Taehyung is not. Taehyung wants to turn it down. But he doesn’t want to be rude to her because she is the guest.

But dear god, he thinks his ears might start bleeding.

The younger one put the car in reverse. “You know,” he started, “when you mentioned your baby cousin, I was expecting like, a 10 year old or someone younger.” His eyes found Suri jamming out in the back. “Not a teen.”

“So did I,” Taehyung exasperated. His image of Suri fades away like sand in the wind.

This was not what he thought was going to happen. Not. At. All.

But that’s fine!  Taehyung can loosen up the tight atmosphere.  Let’s just ask some questions, always a good ice breaker.

“So, how's school?”

“Good.”

“Do you like your classes?”

“Yep.”

“8th grade, right? Soon you’ll be in high school. Are you excited?”

“Super.”

It’s like he’s talking to a completely different person.

Taehyung is aware that throughout life kids change. Liking something when you were eight won’t mean that you’ll like it forever. (His Sailor Moon phase can attest to that.) And he knows that kids grow up fast, explore new things, find new obsessions and delve into them, figure out what aesthetics and styles make them feel the best. That’s what adolescence is all about, right? But, it’s always a shock when the younger generation is learning things that Taehyung didn’t even think about trying until he started college.

“Kids nowadays do have better access to things.”  He starts thinking about the time he tried alcohol “by accident” when he was 16 by chugging some wine from the fridge and he got grounded for two weeks when his parents found out.

God, his poor aunt would lose her shit if she saw Suri doing vape tricks like a seasoned professional.

She’s clearly into more grown-up things now. Highly doubt she would enjoy playing board games and getting hot chocolate from the stands in the marketplace and decorating cookies together. Judging by the way she slouches and scrolls on her phone while smoking, occasionally singing along off key to the vaporized tone. .

Taehyung tries to think of things that would appeal to her during the last minutes till they reach his house. Maybe what he liked back when he was a young angsty teen with a disregard for everything. What would he do with a few hours off?

Sit around and mope? Get annoyed at the smallest thing? Listen to Lorde and Lana Del Rey and Marina and the Diamonds?

Well it’s clear that their initial plan is not going to work. It was rather childish and simple. He wants Suri to at least enjoy her time here. Not be dragged to every corner of Seoul to fit Jeongguk and Taehyung’s definition of fun.

So, in order to avoid any issues, Taehyung decides to scrap their original plans.

When he was that age, all he wanted was to be alone. Maybe Suri will want the same thing; some basic privacy. They can hang out upstairs in Taehyung’s room and she can stay downstairs until it’s time for her to go.

Taehyung relaxes in the front passenger seat a lot more, extending his hand out to rub Jeongguk’s arm through his windbreaker. It makes a sound, not like it’s audible over the noise pollution music that Suri has put on, as he wraps his fingers around his bicep and squeezes. A sign he’s in a good mood.

Jeongguk mirrors his position in expression seconds after the action even if he doesn’t know what’s going on in that pretty little head of his. Just the sight of Taehyung relaxing results in him feeling the same while driving, even while the loud terrible music plays.

The drive, even though short, becomes a little more bearable. Now that Taehyung isn’t looking so tense.

By the time Jeongguk puts the car in park in the driveway and turns Taehyung’s dad’s car off, handing the other the keys so he can open the front door for him. The noise pollution music has turned off (fortunately) but it means that the awkward silence has returned. Thick and heavy and demanding for someone, anyone, to make a fucking noise since the car and the music have both turned off.

Taehyung looks in the rearview mirror as Suri takes a ginormous inhale of her juul, looking out of the window.

He sighs. If this car smells like tobacco, his father might actually kill him.

The door swings open and Taehyung gets out first. Cool Seoul air pinches his skin just a bit, even through his puffer jacket that may or may not be Jeongguk’s.  He knows that once the garage opens, Bam will freak out and run downstairs so he enters in from the front door.

Of course, while Jeongguk deals with the bags and Taehyung unlocks the front door softly, Suri’s face is covered by her phone and texting.

“You can put your jacket wherever. Jeongguk’s bringing your stuff in.” He pushes the door open for her and waits by the edge for her to trudge on in silently.

Suri bounces down on the couch, crossing her legs over with a huff. She looks around before looking up at Taehyung standing awkwardly by the front door and toeing off his shoes, switching them for a pair of fluffy house slippers.

He looks out the door as Jeongguk holds the small duffle and backpack with one hand.  He reaches into his pocket to take out the car keys and lock the car, still holding onto the bags. Not a single look of strain on his face. Both bags together and walking completely fine.

Fuck. Taehyung is sure that the veins on his arm are popping out, along with the muscle of his forearm, flexing from the weight, so unbearably sexy that it should be illegal.

Suddenly, he is transported to last night when he was feeling the exquisite shape of Jeongguk’s perfect body, his thin waist, toned back while the wall tremored with the force of his thrusts. Taehyung was getting too loud so their mouths pressed together to muffle the noises and it was so hot and sexy and intense and better than anything Taehyung has had with anyone else ever.

God, the memories of that night make him flustered and horny all at once.

Jeongguk gets to the first step and he’s already smirking. “You’re insatiable,” he exhales. He knows Taehyung’s expressions too well.

“And who’s fault is that?”

“Yours,” he deadpans. Eyes glittering with something ostensibly mischievous.

Taehyung’s jaw drops in feigned shock. Maybe it is his fault but he’d like for Jeongguk to take some responsibility.  “Oh please, you want it all the fucking time.”

The bags are set right by the threshold of the front door as Jeongguk takes his chunky sneakers off slowly but his eyes are on Taehyung and Taehyung only. Lids low and sensual. “Never said I didn’t.” Without waiting for a bratty retort, he springs up and reaches a hand out to tug Taehyung closer to him till their chests press. He leans close to Taehyung’s ear to whisper.  “And if today goes as planned, you might get to see just how much I think about ruining you.”

Taehyung’s ear tingles. His brain rushes in snapshots of all the previous times Jeongguk has done him. Each time done right, done just the way Taehyung wants. So deliciously good and right and perfect.

Given the chance, Jeongguk would spend hours and hours on him which sounds so tempting and terrifying at the same time.

His throat goes dry as Jeongguk smirks, sauntering off knowing full well that Taehyung is affected by him. Even though it's always been obvious. Just from the way they look and talk and smile and kiss each other. It’s obvious that no one else compares.

“Where’s your dog?”

It takes Taehyung a second to realize she’s talking to him. “Pardon?” His ears are still ringing from what just happened and his eyes almost beg to go back to staring at Jeongguk.

“Your dog?” She repeats like he’s an idiot. “Auntie said there would be a big ass dog here. I wanna see it.” Hearing her swear is a rather interesting development.

“Oh,” Jeongguk speaks up from the front entrance. His shoes are in his hand and he places them delicately on the shoe rack. “He’s in his kennel upstairs but he can come out in an hour or two.” For Bam’s mental health he needs to learn how to be in his cage.

Suri nods and leans back. Then shuffles through her pockets to pull out her juul. “By the way, what’s the wi-fi password?”

Jeongguk pauses because she looks directly at him, asks him as if he looks like he knows. Dumbly, he turns to Taehyung for the answer, feeling terribly awkward like he tends to get around people he doesn’t know that well. Lingering like a little shy boy. What a cutie.

“I’ll connect you,” Taehyung offers. “You can chill on the couch. The TV remote is in the cupholder so put on whatever you want,” finger gesturing to the soft brown seat in front of a TV in an entertainment center, he begins walking to the kitchen as Suri leans back into the couch.

He hears the sound of the TV turning on. An old rerun of You Quiz On The Block softly playing from the speaker and Suri seems to dislike that, scoffing and changing the channel to M-net where a new girl group performs their latest hit.

Jeongguk follows after him, socks slipping on the shiny wood floors. Mostly because he doesn’t want to be left alone with Suri and bask in the awkwardness but also because he wanted to ask. “Uh Tae,” he calls when he’s close by, asking for attention, “weren’t we going to that street market? I mean, it’s fine if you wanna stay in but-”

“It’s not for me, baby,” Taehyung coos, pausing in his search in the drawer filled with random instruction manuals for appliances for the slip of paper with the wi-fi password printed on the back. “I think Suri just wants to stay in while she’s here. Or I can tell she does.”

“How?” His face scrunches cutely, standing close to the older in the kitchen area.

“Didn’t you have a phase when you were younger where all you wanted to do was break away from your family and brood around?”

He may dress like a moody teenager now but Taehyung is curious to see if this stemmed from an early age.

“Oh yeah, I guess,” Jeongguk laughs. He would listen to Linkin Park and read manga in his room alone instead of hanging around others but he didn’t try cigarettes or alcohol until he got a bit older since he was way too much of a rule-follower. High school is where all of his inhibitions dropped and he got shitfaced whenever he could.

But he understands that being a pre-teen is a weird time and those moments of rest or breaks are greatly appreciated. That’s what he craved for at that age after all.

“I don’t mind anything,” Jeongguk responds, leaning just a bit closer to Taehyung, watching the older’s cheeks rise with a smile. His body feels warm.

Their bet might have to undergo some changes but Taehyung thinks that if he pouts and whines and bats his eyelashes enough, he can get Jeongguk to adhere to his wishes.

Actually he doesn’t think. He knows Jeongguk will.

“What shall we do with our new free time then?” Jeongguk asks.

He feels hands make their way around his waist snuggly, bringing him close to a warm body. Taehyung melts into Jeongguk’s chest, feels his chin on his shoulder. “You wanna catch up on Singles Inferno? You haven’t met Jinyoung,” his elbow softly hits Jeongguk’s stomach but it doesn't push him away.

“Right,” he grins cutely. “The one Hobi said looks like me.”

“He looks nothing like you.” Taehyung decides firmly. Finally, he finds that slip with the password written down so he doesn’t have to find the router and look behind it each time.

“You’re so defensive,” Jeongguk giggles some more and it makes Taehyung smile harder. Both at Jeongguk’s tone and how he will probably have to walk back to the living room with a grown adult koala-ing him which will result in an awkward but adorable waddle that he’s sure looks stupid to anyone else watching but Taehyung doesn’t mind.

“Look, you may have the same hairstyle but that guy is nothing like you.”

“Why, is he a bad guy? Actually no, don't tell me, I’ll find out on my own.” Jeongguk’s voice comes out muffled and soft, a sign he’s in the mood to cuddle and/or sleep.

“Not bad but,” Taehyung turns in his hold to face him, running his fingers through Jeongguk’s sexy growing hair and tugging on those silky ends. He sighs, taking in how sexy his boyfriend is and how much he fucking adores him. “I refuse to acknowledge any look-alikes of my man.”

Taehyung was willing to accept the secretary from Business Proposal as someone who shared some similarities. They have the same glasses and both the actor and Jeongguk are stupidly hot but he draws the line right there.

No one else can be Jeongguk. At least, not in Taehyung’s eyes.

He faces him when he says this and is gifted the sight of Jeongguk’s eyes widening and then wrinkling at the sides which is something he tends to do when he gets sentimental. Like there is a burst of heat in his chest and he wants Taehyung to see. Even after so long, Jeongguk can’t fully grasp reality when Taehyung outwardly compliments or flirt with him. He’s still shy and bashful and humble about it, sometimes even responding with a whine because words are too hard. Taehyung still loves it. He wants Jeongguk to know just how amazing he is and how amazing Taehyung thinks he is.

“You’re hot when you get possessive,” Jeongguk blurts.

“You’re hot all the time.”  Taehyung admits shamelessly.

He doesn’t even want to tease him because his heart and brain wouldn’t allow him to lie.

“Even when I’m snoring?”

Jeongguk leans in. Taehyung matches him.

“All the time, baby.”

Taehyung closes the gap completely to kiss Jeongguk once, just a peck at first, but it turns into two, three, and a fourth that keeps their lips molded together. He gets hooked on the feeling and sensation of kissing Jeongguk. His lips always taste like rose lip balm, so soft and sweet. Taehyung doesn’t want to pull away, feeling like it’s been ages since he last kissed him.

Then a groan erupts from the living room.

“Ugh, did you find that password yet?”

Taehyung pauses, his lips still on Jeongguk’s, hands slipping from his neck to dangle by his sides. Annoyance clouds his judgment for a split second, nearly crumpling the paper up and telling her to use up all her data.

But Jeongguk snorts. “Go, give her the password. I’ll get us some snacks.”

There’s a coiling in his stomach. Jeongguk’s tone drops to a huskier one, reminding Taehyung of the last night when they fucked and the younger had him up in every position possible. On his back, on his knees, riding him, against the wall standing. Being that it was Taehyung’s birthday, he was given the special treatment like getting carried to bed and eaten out till his thighs shook with stimulation, then fucked and cuddled to satisfaction, just like he likes. But he craves for a little more.

Even though he’s a touch sore and the bubble bath he took this morning helped fix that almost completely, Taehyung wants him more. Wants him again.

Less of an unsatisfied search for better and more of a craving that needs to be satiated 24/7.

“Okay,” Taehyung rocks back on his heels for a second before kissing Jeongguk once more. “Now I’ll go,” he smiles cheekily. Jeongguk slaps his ass softly as another method of encouragement and quickly disappears into the pantry before Taehyung can haphazardly scold him.

His walk is silent and cold. Jeongguk hanging on him is warmer than any sweater Taehyung puts on but Suri needs her wifi. Who is sitting quietly on the couch, flipping through channels as puffs of smoke billows from her spot.

“Here’s the wifi password.”

“Thanks,” she mumbles, whipping out her phone, dawning a cute Kuromi case, and types in the password. “I have snap streaks to keep up with,” she more or less says to herself than starts tapping away at that screen.

Taehyung stands there for a second, looks around, looks back at the kitchen and then slowly starts back pedaling to the stairs. Suri seems to have landed on a channel that she likes, meaning that these two can go have their fun upstairs.

He should have some self-control but he can deal with that later. Jeongguk is walking towards him with snacks stacked to his chin.

“Where are you going?” Suri asks and they both jump.

Almost animatedly, both of the adults stop like they’ve been caught red-handed doing something wrong. Taehyung’s shoulders go up to his ears and Jeongguk nearly drops the jar of Nutella that is placed haphazardly underneath his chin, turning slowly to wear Suri doesn’t even look at them from her spot on the recliner now.

How did she see us? “Oh, did you-is there anything else you’d like? Jeongguk and I were going to give you some privacy.” Taehyung stammers like an idiot.

“Well, I wanna watch Twilight,” she demands. “Do you own Twilight?”

He doesn’t but luckily, it’s on Netflix for a bit due to the series’ popularity spiking up again.  He nods. Jeongguk makes more noises next to him and decides to set down some of the products he got. Not like he’s picky or anything.  He needs options, resulting in him grabbing a wide range of snacks.

Suri leans back in the recliner, reaching down to push the leg rest out with quickness and haste. “Let's watch it.”

Taehyung is shocked once more.

“You want us to watch it with you?” He’s incredulous. He thought she’d want them gone.

Part of him wanted her to want that too.

“Why? You have something better to do?” Her tone burns with the assumption that he doesn’t.

But he did. Taehyung was hoping that he and Jeongguk could make out upstairs for a bit before delving in Singles Inferno finally because there is an undeniable rumble in his belly at the thought of getting fucked like he’s been planning but it’s not like he can tell Suri that because that is way too personal and way too much for a 13 year old to know.

“N-no,” he looks back to the kitchen where Jeongguk sets down half of the items and instead settles for what he can grab in his hands. “But I thought-”

Suri interrupts him. “Great! Then we’re watching it.” A satisfied smirk grows on her face and Taehyung realizes what this is.

Payback for not showing up to Christmas in Daegu.

Taehyung has never watched the Twilight series in his entire life. Vampires freak him out. He doesn’t do blood, he doesn’t do vampires, he doesn’t do violence and he’s gone his entire life avoiding this series like the bubonic plague. Even Jeongguk, who loves these YA fantasy romance fiction things, hasn't forced him because he knows that he won’t like it. This has always been the case.

Easily, in any other situation, Taehyung would say no. He’s not above lying if it means putting his own comfort first. Trust, he’s learned the hard way that there’s nothing wrong with doing that.

But the guilt of choosing his boyfriend over hanging with his family digs deep into his side. Even though Suri doesn’t look upset about it at all, Taehyung knows that it must’ve been a little bit disappointing to wait for him at the station only for his mother to explain that he isn’t coming. Despite the angsty dismissal of the family that teens tend to have, Suri and him have always gotten along well.

So he caves and takes a seat on the longer couch where Suri just was with his arms crossed protectively over his chest like Taylor Lautner is going to pop out of the screen and eat him when he’s in his werewolf form. Although, the TV is still stuck on an idol interview.

“What are we watching?” Jeongguk asks, sitting down next to Taehyung and setting all the snacks on the coffee table.

“Twilight.” Suri and Taehyung speak at the same time but with very different tones.

His head whips over to the person next to him. “Tae, are you sure?” His question is stupid because Taehyung is so obviously not okay.

“He’ll be fine,” Suri answers for him. “There are like two scenes with violence. Lets start.” She opens up the Netflix app and searches for Twilight, pressing play and then reaching for a bag of cookies to eat on the single recliner.

Taehyung, already predicting that he will need to hide whenever blood comes into the frame, scoots closer to Jeongguk and throws his legs over his lap so he can hide his face in his neck and for safety.

There’s a cute deer running through the woods in the first few seconds and Taehyung can tell it’s going to die. No he knows it’s going to die because why else would they show the deer. Oh god , Taehyung doesn’t want to see it die. He hates animal deaths in movies. It’s going to ruin his entire night and the only way he’ll fall asleep is by watching some kids show.

“Babe, I’m telling you, it’s not that bloody,” Jeongguk says, through chews, one hand gripping Taehyung’s outer thigh. “Barely any violence either. The Vampire Diaries might be more violent.”

“Yeah and I can’t watch that either.”

“You watched it with me!” He argues back, squeezing Taehyung’s thigh.

“Because Damon is hot.” His hands wrap around Jeongguk’s bicep and squeeze as the beginning of the movie starts and Taehyung leans his head on his shoulder.

He never realized how touchy he is with Jeongguk. Taehyung was always getting shit with Haru for being too touchy so he tended to hold himself back with him. But Jeongguk never cared, unless he was studying or working out, so Taehyung indulged in his lovebug tendencies. Sometimes, he’s discrete about it. Maybe a squeeze of his muscles or a lean, a kiss on the cheek. And sometimes, Taehyung is all over him.

It’s never been a problem. Most people don’t care or they tend to glance and then turn away. His friends say nothing since they’re in relationships themselves and have their own degrees of PDA.

And of course, Jeongguk loves it. Loves Taehyung’s attention and how good it makes him feel. He loves feeling loved.

But no one has ever really said anything about it. Couples are allowed to be as affectionate as they want. Especially in private, right? Who gives a fuck what other people think?

“Can you guys like not?” Suri’s face is screwed up in disgust and annoyance.  A cookie hangs in the air, right before her mouth.

Taehyung’s head lifts. If she keeps this shit up, he’ll smack that damn cookie right out of her hand-

“You do realize he’s my boyfriend, right?” He says with a finger pointed to a focused Jeongguk.

He has every right to consensually be all over him.

“Yes,” she mimics Taehyung’s intonation but in a higher tone. “Good for you two. But some of us are newly single and lonely and don’t need happy couples shoved in their faces.” Bitterness drips off her voice at those last words. Suri crosses her arms over her chest and curls further into herself.

“Oh,” Taehyung softens. He doesn’t pull away from Jeongguk completely, only pulling his legs away and sitting next to him normally, thighs still touching.

Suri got dumped? Well that fucking explains everything.

The attitude change, new style, disdain for Jeongguk and Taehyung being themselves. It all adds up now.

Suri’s in her villain era. But the initial stages of it. Like when you’re really angry and annoyed, which is the first step before you dial it back and realize how much happier you are when you focus your energy on your own needs.

She waves it off before he can ask any other questions about her relationship or if she’s even okay. “I’m over it. Whatever. Robert Pattinson’s sexy ass is the perfect distraction from my loser ex.”

Oh lord. Jeongguk raises his fists in celebration as he harbors a rather insane (borderline unhealthy) crush on the guy.  “Go off girl queen pussy boss.”

Taehyung cringes but out of the corner of his eye, he can see it faintly. The smallest thing. And even though he didn’t cause it, he still feels something coursing through him. It’s light and airy, maybe it's relief. Soothing and calm.

Because he sees Suri smile.

After a bag of chips and an entire sleeve of cookies, the movie ends.

It was somewhat interesting but cliché. Taehyung isn’t all that captivated by it but he does agree that Edward is gorgeous so his attention is completely swayed by the aesthetics or Jeongguk’s cute reactions rather than the plot of the show.  It’s nothing groundbreaking to him but he can see the hype. He manages to get through it without being petrified from all the blood although he is sure that Jeongguk’s arm has been squeezed an ungodly amount of times in the span of like two hours.

Taehyung stretches his legs out and cracks his back as the credits play. Jeongguk wipes his eyes, always the one to get emotional during movies like this, but he’s seen Twilight so many times that the tears never fall. His shoulders roll out, body missing the warmth of Taehyung being draped all over him.

For a second, he thinks that Suri wants to binge something else or maybe try a few episodes of  The Vampire Diaries but she suddenly springs up from the recliner seat. Her phone goes into her back pocket and she claps her hands once to get their attention.

“Let’s go out,” she announces, clear and final. Both boys look at her in complete shock.

Taehyung looks at the watch on his phone. 6:09. Two more hours until Suri gets dropped off at her friend’s place close by. “You wanna go out?” He asks in disbelief. Would she be interested in doing some of the activities they planned?

“Uh yeah? Isn’t there a street market nearby?” Suri grabs her coat that she threw over the back of the recliner and tugs it on. Reaching behind her, she brushes her dyed hair into a low ponytail so it isn’t all messy from leaning against the recliner.

“Yes,” Taehyung did mention a small market super close by, “but-”

Suri interrupts. “Then let’s go. I don’t wanna sit inside all day like some loser.” She throws her arms up as if Taehyung suggested that she would be one and damn, that’s the second time he’s been dissed by her today.

They are starting to sting a little, even though he tries his hardest to reason with himself.

Jeongguk leans close. “Was she always this bossy?”  His eyes trail after her walking to the shoe rack to put on her thick boots, similar to his own pavement stompers ( term coined by Seokjin) and open the front door.

Taehyung thinks back to all the games they’ve played and ones he’s supervised among the younger cousins. Suri was always a bit of a manager and less of a follower, kept telling people what their roles were, and wanted things to go her way only. She was always like this but now comes the added value that Taehyung feels slightly guilty for not being there to celebrate with the family, so she’s taking advantage of his willingness and being extra commanding.

Taehyung gets up and trudges over to the coat closet to take out his and Jeongguk’s puffers with a loud huff. One Suri doesn’t hear since she’s halfway out the door.

“Unfortunately yes,” he grumbles, shoving his arm through the thick material harshly. “Just two more hours, baby. We can order out and then watch the fireworks from here.”

Taehyung is interested in staying in “like some loser” because he doesn’t do big crowds. Plus his house has a perfect view of the ball drop and fireworks so if he really wanted, he could stand on his balcony and watch the whole thing go down.Right now it won’t be too bad, but closer to midnight there’s going to be a million people out around and it’s usually hell on earth.

Jeongguk accepts the jacket and puts it on quickly, not wanting to make the feisty girl wait. It's a thick army green motorcycle jacket that he’s been wearing ever since he got the bike and his license.

He pats his pockets for his phone and wallet, shaking his hair out of his eyes sexily.

“Where do you want to order from? I’m saying no for pizza already.”

Taehyung giggles, stepping closer to him. “We’ve only had it two times.”  He zips up Jeongguk’s jacket all the way up to the neck and fixes the thermal turtleneck underneath so that it doesn’t scrunch up. Jeongguk wants to be completely covered by his jackets.

“Yeah but we need to expand our palette. Barbeque?” His head cocks cutely. Taehyung nods excitedly. Jeongguk has an exceptional talent for grilling meat just perfectly.

Plus, it’ll be just the meal they need after fucking their brains out.

Jeongguk reaches for Taehyung’s zipper and goes up. “Sounds good angel. I’ll place the order.” He zips it to the base of his neck and fixes his collar. Just how he likes to wear his jackets.

His eyes dance over his perfect boyfriend, a literal angel descent on earth. His hair is permed and a little long, falling over his forehead in a cute looking fringe. They hide his gorgeous wide eyes, that mole that Jeongguk can never seem to forget.

It’s comforting how warm Taehyung looks in the winter time. Maybe it’s his golden skin, like the sun peaking through the clouds, or his smile that feels like the first sip of tea or the way he hugs Jeongguk that thaws all of the frost caused by the change in the weather.

He’s just so damn in love with him. All of him. The small things and the big things.

And Jeongguk can’t believe he still has him.

His gaze shifts in a way that Taehyung knows all too well and Taehyung doesn’t try to fight it or push it away. He steps closer and tilts his head, leaning in to press a single chaste kiss on Jeongguk’s pillowy lips. Just one for now. Short and soft.

Because they have someone waiting.

“Let's go!” Suri calls from outside. Taehyung rolls his eyes.

“You go outside. I need to put Bam’s leash on.”

Jeongguk hands Taehyung the keys for now and walks on upstairs to grab Bam, who has been so good this entire time, sleeping and not running down the stairs to greet Suri.  He usually takes the guy out for a walk around now anyways so this is just perfect timing.

Jeongguk jogs up stairs and into Taehyung’s bedroom where the large crate is. He can spot a brown mass laying down but a triangular head perking up at the sight of him.

“Bam!” He calls out. The large puppy presses the door open to greet him excitedly, even after such a proper slumber Bam wants to give him attention. Standing up on his legs to get to Jeongguk’s upper thighs and be pet. “Ah, you were so good today! You’re so good!” Jeongguk coos, scratching behind his ears.

Bam just pants at him excitedly, wagging his tail at an extremely fast pace. Jeongguk fastens the leash around him.

“Time for walkies,” he tells him, grabbing a portable water bottle and poop bags sitting in a bin by his crate. Jeongguk makes sure he isn’t forgetting anything, pats and looks around and then lets Bam go down the stairs with him.

By the time he gets outside, Taehyung and Suri stand stiffly by the parked car. One smoking and the other scrolling through his phone.  Jeongguk tries not to laugh at them, wondering how the fuck they are related.

Bam skips out, chain collar jingling, which catches Suri’s attention. She blows out a puff of smoke halfway and then nearly drops the device when her eyes land on Bam.

“Oh my fucking god!”

In those split seconds of excitement, that icy exterior drops and she looks like a thirteen year old. Jeongguk can tell Taehyung notices by the way he watches her run up to him and extend her hand out to let him sniff before petting him.

“Okay, first of all he is huge,” she stresses the word, “Secondly, what’s his name?” Her eyes bounce up to Jeongguk.

He grins. “Bam.” Obnoxious pride seems to radiate off him as if Bam is truly his son and his growth is something to be proud of.

“Bam,” Suri coos, scratching him in all the spots that make him pant. Bam is shy but usually really friendly with new people yet he warms up to Suri quickly as she finds all of his sweet spots with her nails.

Jeongguk is just glad he didn’t squat down to shit two seconds out of the house like he usually does when they start their walks. He looks up at Taehyung who has a stoic expression on his face and then nods in the direction of the street market.

“Alright,” she claps when she snaps back up. “Let’s go!” Suri starts walking between Taehyung and Jeongguk.

Jeongguk takes a step forward and Bam follows automatically. Looking so cute in his little sweater he’s been wearing all day, excited for a chance to be outside after resting in his crate.

They walk in somewhat silence. It’s a short walk as it is so Taehyung and Jeongguk aren’t too worried about things being awkward. However, the older scales back to show Jeongguk some barbeque places that are open tonight for their dinner later. Suri walks faster than them and then asks if she can hold Bam’s leash for the rest of the walk which Jeongguk, hesitantly, agrees to.

If Bam shits on the ground, he will die from embarrassment.

“Babe, this one place has pork belly at a 30% discount for college students,” Taehyung nudges his side, earning his attention again. Jeongguk’s eyes widen comically.

“Fuck yeah, we’re so ordering from there.”  They turn the corner and the street market is right in their view.  Taehyung bounces eagerly next to him, taking larger steps so he can see everything.

“Yay! And we can have kimchi fried rice?” He asks expectantly, batting his puppy eyes at Jeongguk, which is a military grade tactic for getting what he wants because the younger folds and agrees every time.

He sighs. “Yes,” grumbling like his ass doesn’t love kimchi fried rice even more than Taehyung.

The market is bustling but not to a nauseating extent. People crowd around the more popular stands that sell food while tourists and food vloggers sit by the benches reviewing their purchases with vivacious reactions that Taehyung has always found forced. A few families eat at the metal tables, laughing and having fun. Young couples eat ice cream romantically , a cute date idea that Taehyung proudly remarks he’s done before with Jeongguk.

A few pop-up shops stand opposite with clothes, pottery, handmade cutlery, trinkets and various other items that catch Taehyung’s eye. His mom might like one of those vases.

Taehyung has always enjoyed markets. They’re nice places to walk around and get good food for a decent price. But it’s always extra fun with Jeongguk and Bam, the former wanting to try every food possible and the latter wanting to smell everything possible. It’s extremely entertaining to watch.

Usually Jeongguk lets Bam drag him to whatever stall and he’ll eat what they’re serving there but it’s not always the best tactic. One time the poor guy got led to the same pork skewer stall three times and he couldn’t eat another bite.

“So,” Suri asks, holding her juul up to her mouth and discreetly taking a hit, handing the leash back to Jeongguk. “What’s good around here?” She looks around once more, exhales some smoke.

Jeongguk speaks up, scratching behind his ears. “All the food is good. I really like this one ice cream stall over there because they have the best hot chocolate.” He points in another direction. “That place has really good fried dumplings and the place right next to it does amazing Chinese street food.”

Suri just shrugs. “Meh,” not at all interested by the options Jeongguk presents to him.

“We can just walk around and see,” Taehyung offers, at his wits end. There might be nothing at this market that appeals to Suri. “But the hot choco is really good.” His cravings itch for the liquidy smooth goodness.

Suri doesn’t have anything against that so she nods and they walk around. Taehyung’s attention is caught by this carnival game type thing with prizes hanging along the top rim to entice all of the younger children walking by to beg their parents for a shot to win the big stuffed banana or squishmallow. He really wants to win this blue bunny plushie he saw. They have no need for plushies, definitely no space in their small dorms, but he simply wants to win it for Jeongguk.

It’s a shooting game so he harnesses all of his skills from playing Overwatch to break down the stacked cups three times and earn his cute boyfriend the cute plush that looks just like him.

“A bunny?” Jeongguk’s eyebrow raises when Taehyung hands it to him.

Taehyung pinches his cheek. “Looks just like you,” his hand gets pushed off gently, Bam’s leash getting shoved in the other.

Their competitiveness rears its head more often than you’d think. But instead of being fueled by anger, every competition is usually filled with zingy tension.

“I’m gonna win you that bear,” he points to the bigger one hanging wearing large framed glasses. A stuffed bear for his baby bear. “And I’m gonna take less time than you,” Jeongguk challenges.

“Oh really?”

“Yeah.”

Jeongguk pays the two dollars to play and manages to get Taehyung the bear but according to both Suri (who is so over their mushy gushy bullshit) and the guy running, they both took the same amount of time. Like exactly the same amount.

He shoves the bear in Jeongguk’s arms. “You won dude. Now go away already,” he shoos him off to instead flirt with the cute girls waiting in line.

Well that was fucking disappointing.

Jeongguk hands Taehyung the bear and takes Bam’s leash back from him, ears burning bright red the entire time. “For you.”  Taehyung gasps animatedly and plants a kiss on Jeongguk’s cheeks.

“How sweet of you.” Taehyung hugs the plushies close to his chest. They look nothing alike but yet they are so perfect together. Like a box set of two opposites attract plushies for some cute animated extremely gay coded movie about these two characters teaming up to fight evil. Taehyung loves it.

Suri, however, does not.

“Ugh, I’m gonna hurl,” she cringes, turning away from them and crossing her arms over her chest defensively.

Oh right, fresh breakup, meaning no affection. Taehyung forgot.

They break apart and continue to walk through the market, limiting themselves to non-mushy conversation and holding hands so Suri doesn’t get more upset.

Jeongguk finds the ice cream stall that sells the really good hot chocolate and, of course, at that moment they seem to be playing his favorite group of all time: Twice . Taehyung breaks out into a goofy looking smile when Jeongguk’s head perks up at the beginning of I Can’t Stop Me , wondering if he’s going to break out into the choreo with everyone watching.

“I can’t stop me, can’t stop me,” Jeongguk head bops to the side for the noise that plays after the first verse, handing the cashier some cash to buy three cups of hot chocolate. Even Taehyung knows how this song goes. He’s hear Jeongguk sing it a million fucking times.

Jeongguk loves Twice. He’s constantly singing their songs, learning the dances, he’s gone to one of their concerts and he’s slowly getting Taehyung into it. Their music is fun and upbeat and amazing and it has always made Taehyung laugh that someone who used to listen to Linkin Park has transitioned into girl-groups.

Especially considering the way he dresses and looks right now.

But birds of a feather flock together because Suri looks at Jeongguk with excited surprise.

As she was humming along too.

“You like Twice?”

“You like Twice?”

They say at the same time.

Suri talks first. “I fucking love Twice. Oh my god! Wait, tell me your favorite songs! Wait, who's your bias? When did you start listening to them?” She jumps into questions and Jeongguk, although overwhelmed, answers them calmly.  (Too many to pick, Sana and from their debut).

Suri wraps her hands around the warm cups and immediately jumps into her own opinions. “Sana is amazing. I constantly switch so I can’t tell you but my best friend and I have the fattest crush on Momo. And I started liking them around Likey,” she drones on.

There aren’t many other stalls for them to see or ones that are interesting so Suri finds an empty bench so she can sit and talk to Jeongguk while drinking her drink and petting Bam, sparking a long winded conversation from two people who have never met before.

Taehyung pokes around them with a goofy smile on his face.

This is the Suri he remembers. He’s gotten glimpses of her today but he fully recalls this being the girl he spent so many holidays with.  She’s hurting right now and maybe she’s becoming a bit more reclusive, which is totally normal and fine. But Taehyung is glad that she still hasn’t lost that passionate gleam in her eyes when talking about something that she loves.

He is glad that she can talk about these passions with someone and he is more than glad that the person is Jeongguk.

After about a half an hour of gabbing, it’s time for Bam’s dinner and Suri gets a text that her friend’s mom is coming to get her so they walk back home just as snow begins to fall down on them. The air turns biting cold as time inches closer to midnight so it’s starting to get unbearably cold outside. Taehyung glues himself to Jeongguk’s side and listens while Suri continues to talk his ear off.

“People who hate on Signal are lame.”

Jeongguk nods. “Totally. It’s such a good song!”

“Right? It’s so fun and catchy and the dance is great. Same with Likey and Fancy . Like okay we get it, you’re just miserable,” her eyes roll. Jeongguk laughs at her expression and Suri beams. “Sometimes a cute pop song is just what I need to hear.”

It feels like seconds when they reach Taehyung’s house, trudging slowly up the pathway to the front door. Suri’s friend’s mom will be here any minute, already trickling into her party time by being a few minutes late.

But it doesn’t seem like Suri is in a big rush anyways.

“I think I still have Like Ooh-Aah ’s choreo memorized.” Jeongguk sticks the key in the lock and turns it, letting Bam in first so he can shake off the snow collecting on his coat and then go drink some water or heat up by the couch.

“Really? Damn, I can never get their choreo down. I dance like I have two left feet”

Jeongguk steps in. The beginnings of a bright smile growing on his face. Taehyung’s heart melts. “You’ll get the hang of it.” He looks back, Bam is circling around, looking at him directly in the eye with that innocently aware look, which means one thing. “I- Fuck , Bam no!” Jeongguk panics. “I’ll bring your bags out. Wait here- Bam stop! No!” The door slams shut.

Suri’s chin tucks in out of confusion and she turns to him when Taehyung decides to explain.

“Bam’s is almost done with potty training but sometimes he just waits until he’s inside because he knows the inside and poops on the floor.”  Sometimes he might forget or sometimes, he just has to go and Jeongguk can’t get him out in time.

But yeah, it’s really not fun walking downstairs and nearly slipping in dog shit half asleep.

Suri winces. “Yeesh. How old is he?”

“A little over a year.” Taehyung leans against the wall by the door and watches Suri do the same thing, looking out over the main road. Snow still falls on them but Taehyung moves closer to the front so the overhead blocks some of the snow.

A heavy silence falls over them. Awkward, just like before. Clearly Taehyung wants to say something and Suri is just thinking or maybe she wants to say something too but neither of them have the gall to open their mouth because shit still feels tense from how different things were today.

In the past, Taehyung and Suri could talk for hours about nothing and everything. It didn’t matter.

But she’s at a confusing stage in her life and dealing with a breakup so Taehyung doesn’t blame her for being difficult today. He’s sure that they can bounce back to how they used to be easily. It’ll just take some time.

And he doesn’t mind waiting.

Taehyung adjusts his socks inside of his boots when Suri finally says something.

“I like him.” She blurts.

Taehyung’s head snaps to her. She’s smoking facing away from him so their eyes don’t meet.  “Huh?”

“Your boyfriend. He’s cool,” her head tilts down and Taehyung can see the slightest tinge of blush on her ears and cheeks. “You should bring him next year.”

Next year. Meaning Jeongguk has gotten approval to come to fucking Daegu and meet Taehyung’s entire family. His aunts and uncles and younger cousins. He’s practically welcomed into the family now. And if that doesn’t turn Taehyung into a melted puddle of goo and giddiness that he doesn’t know what will.

“Yeah?” Taehyung smiles, trying to maintain his composure. “Is it because you wanna talk about the upcoming Twice comebacks next time?”

Suri rolls her eyes. “Obviously. You can come too if you want.” Her head turns when she sees a gray minivan pull into the driveway. A woman smiles at her and parks on Taehyung’s driveway slowly, waving at the two of them.

“Oh wow thank you so much,” he goads sarcastically. Jeongguk places the two bags outside and tries to keep Bam in by blocking the entrance with his body.  “I’ll do my best to show up.”

Suri mirrors his grin. And it’s genuine from what Taehyung can tell. “No problem. Bye.” She reaches down to grab her bags and trundles down the pathway to the older lady’s car.

Taehyung has a huge wave of happiness hit him. This entire outing, he felt like Suri was holding some amount of anger at him for choosing Jeongguk over going to Daegu and the guilt was swarming. So his mind told him that it was his responsibility to make this hang out the best one ever. And when each plan went awry and awkward, he was sad.

But now he knows. Suri isn’t mad at him and she had fun today and she likes Jeongguk.

“Bye Suri. Happy New Year!” Taehyung waves from his spot as he watches her pull the passenger side door open and put one leg in.

She waves back, like she always used to do when Taehyung would leave her house, only dressed in a darker aesthetic than her usual one. Still the same.

“Happy New Year.”

Jeongguk peaks his head out. “Happy New Year!”

“Happy New Year!” She calls out once more and climbs into her seat. Waving goodbye from her spot that is barely visible thanks to the dark window. Only her outline thanks to the lack of sun.

Taehyung watches the car pull out and the aunty in the front give him another kind smile and wave as she drives out of his neighborhood. He feels complete, satisfied, the closure he needed from today which started off rocky but got better with time.

His mother was right. This was fun.

He reaches for the doorknob and twists it open, itching for warm air and Jeongguk’s arms around him. Taehyung slips off the shoes he shoved his feet in and

“You won,” Taehyung grumbles playfully.

“I did?” Jeongguk gapes. The bet had completely slipped his mind once he actually met Suri but as Taehyung says it, he processes the words. “I did. She likes me?”

“She didn’t say more but she thinks you’re cool and you’re invited to our place next year.”

“Fuck yeah. Your family loves me, Tae.”

Taehyung hums. “Me too baby. Now let me in,” he pushes playfully at Jeongguk’s stomach so he isn’t  blocking the way completely. He grunts and parts, allowing warm air to greet Taehyung’s frozen cheeks.

Bam is seated on one of his beds, resting after a long walk and socializing. He blinks at Taehyung tiredly a few times before putting his chin on the soft cushion and closing his eyes.

Taehyung says while looking at Bam. “You’re invited to our place next year. If your mom isn’t already planning something.” Giddiness runs through him as if there is not a whole ass year in between the next time. “But basically, you’re part of the family now.”  He turns his head to gauge Jeongguk’s reaction and boy is he glad that he did.

The cutest, prettiest, softest smile begins to form. Taehyung can see the skin around his pretty mouth crease, his dimples dent and grow. Eyes twinkling as if there are tiny gems sprinkled around his irises. Like all of the stars in the sky concentrated their energy into creating the most gorgeous features on a person. Two galaxies colliding into the biggest supernova with all of the colors of the universe.

His heart pounds like anything in his chest. Taehyung is so irrevocably in love with him.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Jeongguk asks, setting his jacket down on the couch and walking closer to Taehyung. His grin remains intact.

Arms wrap around his waist in the emptiness of their living room, finally free to be as affectionate as he wants without hurting Suri. Taehyung tugs Jeongguk closer by circling his arms around his neck so that their noses graze gently. It’s such a small gesture but warmth floods Taehyung’s senses as his boyfriend inches closer and closer.

He sighs. “I just,” his eyes fix on the small mole on Jeongguk’s nose, the scar on his cheek, all of his perfect idiosyncrasies that he was once stupid enough to hate, “I just want you to know that I love you.”

A year ago, Taehyung was in a different relationship. He thought he was happy with someone that clearly dated him out of spite and he fully thought that he would go to his grave hating Jeon Jeongguk. It feels like he’s a different person now. That he’s evolved from seeing relationships as sharing mutual interests and more about loving that person’s character. Taehyung loves who Jeongguk is. He loves that underneath all of the dark clothes and bulky exterior is someone so sweet, caring, kind, someone who deserves all of his love. Someone who loves him just as much.

Jeongguk’s expression softens. “I love you too angel,” he murmurs, leaning in close to press their lips together.

They’ve kissed a few times today but it doesn’t feel like it’s been enough. Chaste small pecks are not the usual for Taheyung and Jeongguk who tend to spend hours lounging around in bed just making out and talking in between. Today feels absent from that.

So Taehyung falls deeper into the motions of Jeongguk’s mouth, letting him control the pace which reminds him of the first time they kissed in that forsaken gym.

His mouth falls open and Jeongguk seems to take the hint, jutting his jaw forward and capturing Taehyung’s lips with his own. His hands grow more appetitive on Taehyung’s waist, pressing their bodies together to feel more of his warmth. Tasting his sweetness and softness, addictively him. The older’s mouth opens slightly to let out a soft whimper.

And Jeongguk almost loses it.

The sound, soft and wanton, awakens something inside of Jeongguk and he is reminded of what their plans were today. Even though he won their bet, whatever Taehyung wants, he will comply.

His breath is hot in his mouth, feeling Taehyung claw at the hoodie covered shoulders, fingers digging into the mass and squeezing before Jeongguk decides to take this a step further. He pulls apart from Taehyung and turns his body to the side so he can scoop him up bridal style and carry him up the stairs.

Taehyung gasps. His heart jumps at the gesture. He quite enjoys these displays of strength and he knows that Jeongguk knows but each time, he swears the guy gets a million times more attractive.

Lips breaths apart, Taehyung wraps his arms around Jeongguk’s neck tighter, giggling into his skin at how cutely determined he looks to get him up the stairs safely and fast.

His lips lean closer to Jeongguk’s ear and whisper innocently filthy things, things he wants him to do, things Taehyung wants to do to him, things he’s been dreaming about. Just as some motivation, getting him nice and riled up before having sex. Jeongguk’s steps turn a little wobbly with every word, jaw clenching at how dirty his boyfriend can get, before kicking the door to Taehyung’s bedroom open and setting him down.

He considers throwing him on the bed but Jeongguk has this irrational fear that he might accidentally hurl Taehyung into the wall so he never does it.

“Gukkie,” he gasps when he pushes him onto the soft surface. Taehyung leans back a little on the mattress, keeping himself up with a single hand, longing to feel Jeongguk’s body. To heave into his mouth, feeling the weight and warmth of the other before traveling upwards and running his fingers through his silky smooth hair.

Taehyung is seconds from making grabby hands at the man until he finally gets closer.

Jeongguk climbs on the bed so he can hover over Taehyung, parting his legs with one hand. He feels at home between those plush perfect thighs as rolls of scenarios from the past run through his mind like scenes from a movie.

Each time he pushes himself to be better. To make Taehyung moan louder, harder, to make him cum faster. But it’s less of a competition and more a matter of Jeongguk’s pride. He’s always loved watching his partner’s responses and reactions. It’s like praise but in a much better form. Plus he gets to make Taehyung scream

His body rolls over Taehyung’s, their chests pressing teasingly as he lays an arm by his head. Kissing him fervently, licking into his mouth hotly, moving slow yet sensual.

“How do you want it?” Jeongguk asks into Taehyung’s mouth. He feels the older nod but he wants to hear so Jeongguk wraps his hand in tufts of Taehyung’s hair to lug his head back, moving his lips down to Taehyung’s neck. “Tell me. Use your words.”

Taehyung’s hips grind upwards to press against Jeongguk’s crotch. Blood rushes everywhere, coursing hot through his body as waves of pleasure begin to swarm his senses. He moans lowly as the younger licks at that sensitive spot on one of his pulse points before digging his teeth in to mark him. He grasps at the material on Jeongguk’s back, pressing his fingers in the flesh while grinding his hips up again.

So much all at once and it’s driving Taehyung mad.

“Please,” he gasps. “ I-I want it there,” shakily pointing to the sliding door as one of Jeongguk’s hands slips underneath his sweater to feel the smooth skin of his stomach, hands a little cold, gets him squirming, “I want everyone to see.”

“See what, angel? You want the entire street to see how pretty you look when you’re getting fucked? Have them watch that face you make when I’m pounding into you just how you like?”

Taehyung keens. His legs thrash. “Yes! Fuck, yes please!” He’s so fucking worked up as if it’s been hours of continuous teasing, but its only been minutes.  As if there is a tightly coiled ball in his stomach that has been turning and turning all day today.

Only now, it’s turning much faster.

Jeongguk beams, pulling away to glance at the masterpiece of hickeys created by him on the side of Taehyung’s neck. “Good.” He sits up and admires how wrecked he has Taehyung already before starting on his clothes.

Red cheeks, tears pooling in his eyes, bitten lips.

He pulls off Taehyung’s jeans and his socks, sees the outline of his fully erect cock in his gray boxers and grows a little hungry. Sure, it’s only been 24 hours since they last had sex and they’ve gone longer without it (e.g during finals week) but Jeongguk is drunk on happiness and this newfound freedom that they’ve got the house to themselves and the silly little bet from a few days ago. So he just goes for it.

Sitting up a little, Jeongguk kisses down Taehyung’s stomach with short pecks, reaching his hipbone and sucking a mark that won’t last longer than 5 mins before licking a stripe up his length, watching it twitch impatiently with overbearing pride as Taehyung whines for more.

“Fuck, you’re so hard,” Jeongguk curses, wrapping a single hand around the throbbing length. His tongue pokes out to trace the head. Taehyung’s thighs tremble, eyes clenching shut from the teasing sensation.

The touch is so light but his thumb brushes over the head, where it’s so sensitive, that Taehyung goes crazy over the smallest thing.

His teeth sink into his bottom lip. “Hnngh,” Taehyung’s eyes clench shut. “C-can you us-use your mouth?” He asks petulantly. Desperate for more attention on his leaking cock.

Jeongguk contemplates taking his time and slowly licking up the pulsing length until Taehyung cries but he can see how worked up he is and after considering his own hunger to taste him. He traces the head once more and scoops up the pearl colored fluid on his tongue, swallowing it down easily before taking the tip between his puckered lips.

Taehyung tries to thrust up to get more of his cock into Jeongguk’s wet, hot mouth but they’re pinned down quickly and holy fuck, he thinks he might just go insane or finish early from how wound up he is. Stars explode behind his eyelids. “Please,” he tries weakly.  “Jeongguk.”

The younger smirks. “Only because  you said please.” Then his lips part and his head goes down.

Jeongguk releases some of his restraint and takes half of Taehyung’s length in one shot. He salivates and traces a vein with his tongue, scaling up and down in a consistent motion while his hand joins in. Tasting skin and salt and hearing Taehyung sob out from finally getting the stimulation he’s been waiting for is beyond rewarding. His own cock grows painfully hard in his pants but he ignores it to focus solely on Taehyung’s pleasure.

Thick pelts of spit travel down Taehyung’s length, making the slide wetter as Jeongguk sucks at the head, thumb tracing that spot right under. A sensitive area that gets Taehyung’s legs twitching to the side.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Taehyung whispers, growing louder with each one. He throws an arm over his face, feeling the wetness from his tears trail onto his skin. “Don’t stop Jeongguk. Please don’t.” His hips thrust up again but this time Jeongguk doesn’t mind it.

He’s skillful with it, making sure that his mouth covers as much as he can without going all the way down. Teasing where it’s the most sensitive for Taehyung but not enough to where he busts one too early.

He gags for a second and then relaxes, taking the last few inches until the base. Jeongguk swallows around him a few times, deep throating him while running his tongue up and down in perfect tandem. Taehyung’s other hand travels down to his thigh, itching to run through Jeongguk’s locks but he connects their hands instead, squeezing it once before pulling his mouth off.

Taehyung panics, grabbing him. The sensation building inside of him dimming slowly to nothing.

“Wh-”

“Just getting lube, angel,” Jeongguk assures him, kissing his nose briefly before getting up from the bed to the bedside table.

Cold air hits his length as he watches Jeongguk walk around to the table for the lube they keep in the first drawer. Ideally, they should just hide a bottle in every corner but, fiscally, that makes no sense.

The bottle is half empty and strawberry red. Jeongguk throws it on the bed and walks back, almost climbing back until Taehyung stops him.

“I can’t be the only one undressed,” he points out, already missing the view that is Jeongguk’s body.  Taehyung juts his chin at his hoodie and turtleneck.

Jeongguk rolls his eyes. “You’re still wearing a sweater.” But he still reaches for his hoodie and pulls it off, leaving the sexy, tight black turtleneck underneath. Taehyung bites his lower lip. His cock twitches.

God, this man in a tight shirt is borderline sinful. Fitting over his muscles perfectly, his shoulders, his arms, his chest. All exquisite. He’s truly a work of art, one that Taehyung can look at and admire for hours on end.

And it gets even better when the tight fabric is shrugged off too, revealing planes of tan, tight skin that Taehyung wants to trace his tongue over. As a lover of all things physical, Jeongguk has worked hard to look good but he still looks real. None of his body is fake; it’s all him in there.

“Enjoying this?” Jeongguk asks. One of his hands travels down from his chest to the button of his jeans, moving so slowly and sensually it should be considered illegal.

“Of course,” his eyes bounce up from Jeongguk’s body to his face, “I’d enjoy you back on top of me much more.” Truthful and shameless, Taheyung quickly pulls his loose sweater off, with his undershirt, and now he is completely naked. Missing the way Jeongguk’s eyes get darker with lust.

Jeongguk stumbles to get his pants off. He nearly trips over the fabric and he’s back on top of Taehyung in seconds, his boxers barely off but that’s something he’ll deal with later. His hands tap around for that damn bottle of lube and he brings it closer to him.

“Oh right,” he mumbles, “I was just doing something.” Jeongguk inches back down to Taehyung’s poor neglected cock and proceeds to take the entire thing down in one go, deep-throating it immediately.

Taehyung moans so loud they might get a noise complaint.

His hips are a bucking mess, sensitive and just dancing on that brink of orgasm. Taehyung grabs the nearest pillow and tries to muffle his noises as Jeongguk makes sure to reach all the right places, tongue them and get his length nice and wet and red with stimulation.

It’s so good but he aches for something else, something more. Taehyung is missing that sensation of something inside of him. Missing the stretch and fill.

“J-Jeongguk, baby,” Taehyung calls. “Use the lube, please. I want your f-fingers inside of me.” His cheeks burn at the request, sounding intentionally dirty and needy.

But he knows how much Jeongguk loves it.

His mouth pulls off slightly, a string of saliva connecting his wet pink lips to the head of Taehyung’s cock, blown eyes meeting Taehyung’s teary ones before grabbing the lube and squirting some on his fingers. Jeongguk warms it up between his fingers, repositioning Taehyung’s legs so his thighs are closer to his chest and his ass is more visible.

“Please j- ahh ,” his voice morphs into a satisfied groan as Jeongguk sinks one finger in, somewhat easy since they had sex last night. It’s a start but he turns greedy, still so worked up.  “More,” Taehyung demands, earning a slap on his thigh. He whines at the mix of pain and pleasure.

Jeongguk pulls back. “Quiet.” His finger is met with a bit of resistance. “Fuck, how are you still so tight?” His teeth grit while his second finger begins to push in.

Part of Taehyung wants him to just shove his fingers in, curious if the pain will burn deliciously or not, but Jeongguk is simply way too considerate to even think about that. He moves slow and experimental, feeling Taehyung loosen around him or until he asks for another to put another finger.

His hips pick up and Taehyung fucks himself down on Jeongguk’s two fingers to speed up the pace, moving harsher than before. Jeongguk moves simultaneously with him for a few more, watching carefully as Taehyung’s expression morphs beautifully with his movements until he gets an idea, moving down.

Taehyung’s back arches. “Another one,” he asks. His eyes are trained up to the ceiling so he doesn’t see Jeongguk moving until he feels it.

Lips closing around the head of his cock while his fingers move inside of him at that same harsh rate.

This is it. Taehyung fucking folds.

A loud moan pries from his lips. He’s been on edge for what feels like hours, getting so close to cumming and then Jeongguk would pull away. But the combination of his mouth and his fingers becomes too much too fast. Taehyung has never been this sensitive before but no one else has ever cared about his pleasure this much to where he’d cum this early on. He fucking loves it.

“I’m gon-nna-fuck, Jeongguk I,” he stutters. Jeongguk doesn’t even move, letting Taehyung fuck his mouth at whatever pace to get him off. He watches carefully, feeling him clench around his three fingers, humping his hips animalistically fast and chanting breathy versions of incoherent words before taking his mouth and fingers away. Just as he was about to cross that peak.

Taehyung, as one might imagine, responds with the brattiest whine Jeongguk has ever heard.

“No, no, no,” Taehyung sobs, thrusting up into nothing. His ass gapes around nothing, cock glistening wet from Jeongguk’s mouth and bouts of pre-cum sadly spilling from the head. “Jeongguk,” he whines, pouts.

Usually that would work and Jeongguk would comply but you see, he’s cashing in right now.

He sits up on his thighs, tugging Taehyung’s legs around him slowly. “Sorry angel but I won, remember?” Jeongguk’s head tilts cockily. “This is what I wanted to do.”

“This was what you wanted to do? Medieval gay torture tactics?” Taehyung scolds. He’s so hard he feels like he might burst the moment Jeongguk puts his dick inside of him.

The younger one giggles way too cutely for the situation at hand. “It was just a little warm up. I’m planning on carrying you over to that sliding door and fucking you,” his head nods to the balcony sliding door facing the street.

Taehyung frowns. “You better.” His stomach twists delightedly at that promise.

He feels lube pour out from him, clenching and waiting for something thicker and bigger inside. Jeongguk’s eyes fall to the sight and his tongue traces his lower lip.

His self-control today is one for the history books.  Because it is taking all of him to not put Taehyung’s legs over his shoulders and eat him out.

Jeongguk leans down and kisses him slowly to calm himself down, inching his tongue inside the minute his mouth falls open. Their breaths mingle, tongues tracing over, tasting each other. Jeongguk tastes like his classic rose lip balm and salt and Taehyung can’t get enough of the weirdly delectable combination. His hands cup Jeongguk’s face, tracing his cheekbone and feeling his strong jaw press into his palm.

And then he is being  lifted.

Taehyung had expected this one but he still moans at being carried towards the balcony door. Hands drifting down to Jeongguk’s arms to feel his biceps flexing from the weight in his arms. Not a single ounce of struggle holding Taehyung up from the bed to the balcony door across from it.

He sighs into Jeongguk’s mouth, kissing down his neck to the base where Taehyung sucks ferociously, like a little baby tiger.  Desperate to leave a mark, he moves faster and bites, feeling the other tighten his hold, groaning faintly before setting him down gently.

Taehyung pulls back to study his mark. Wet with saliva and a little pink but it sits on Jeongguk’s skin so prettily.

“What was that for?” Jeongguk exhales. He’s got a dazed look in his eye which is a straight boost to Taehyung’s confidence.

His hand dips inside those black Calvin Kleins to slowly jerk his length, watching in satisfaction as Jeongguk gently bites his lip and thrusts into the touch. Taehyung brings him closer so that Jeongguk’s thigh is in between his.

He grins. “I wanna make you feel good too.” Poor guy hasn’t touched himself once in the hour they’ve been doing this.

“Yeah?” Jeongguk leans in, tucks some sweaty hair out of Taehyung’s face. “You make me feel good all the time. Just by being here and taking me so well. You were so good just now,” he praises. Taehyung’s thighs clench together.

His head leans back against the glass door, thumping. Jeongguk’s thigh is there, hard and flexed, so Taehyung grinds into it briefly. “Fuck,” he curses, still jerking Jeongguk’s cock, teasing a thumb over the head. “I like being good for you,” Taehyung responds just as lewdly. But then he’s flipped around and pressed against the cold glass which, against his hot skin, is both relaxing and shocking all at once.

“You’re always good for me.” Taehyung hears the sound of his boxers slipping off and the lube uncapping. “Shit, can I fuck you, Tae?” Jeongguk asks, one hand on Taehyung’s hip to bend him a little for the right angle then slides down to spank him right on his left cheek.

You don’t even have to ask. “Yes. Please.” Taehyung once again clenches in expectancy while Jeongguk finishes slicking up so he can enter in him nice and smooth.

His breath fogs up the glass, hands making marks from how much body heat he’s producing.

Jeongguk’s hand grips his left cheek, spreads him open and then slowly inches his cock in. No need for protection since it’s just them and besides, Taehyung has gotten way too used to Jeongguk without a condom to want to go back. The change is delicious and the texture feels better than anything else.

Taehyung’s head throws back at the fill. The most distinctive enticing sensation comes over him as Jeongguk’s cock pushes in at a slow, menial pace. It would drive him mad but he’s so excited to finally have something big and filling inside of him that he doesn’t even care. He moans out, arching his back and pushing his body in the direction but Jeongguk’s hand stops him which is frustrating but in a way that drives Taehyung insane.

“S’fucking tight,” Jeongguk grits. Taehyung must be clamping down on him or something because he fucked him loose just last night.

It takes a few more seconds before Jeongguk is pushed all the way in, his cock reaching that spot so perfectly, before pulling out and slamming back in.  Taehyung braces himself against the door at the sudden impact, nearly losing his balance from the waves of pleasure causing his legs to shake.

“Fuck!” He shouts, slapping his hands against the door. More harsh thrusts from Jeongguk; slow yet strong and controlled. Taehyung’s dick slaps against his stomach with each one and his moans climb higher in pitch.

Jeongguk yanks his hair back so his head rests on his shoulder. “Look at all those lucky people down there,” he references the groups of people leaving the market or going to nearest subway station to watch the ball drop, unaware that Taehyung is getting his brains fucked out of him a few feet above their heads. “They get to see that pretty fucking face you make when you’re getting fucked.” He rewards Taehyung with a particularly strong thrust that gets his legs buckling. “They get to see how you were fucking made to take my cock.”

Truly, no one else has ever matched Jeongguk like Taehyung does. He hasn’t messed around too much in his time but no one ever demanded more while being so pliant yet bratty all at once. No one else has ever melded this well with him.

In moments like these, Jeongguk truly believes that Taehyung is the only one for him.

Taehyung keens. He wants to know what that face is and he wants Jeongguk to see that face. Have it be proof for how marvelously he fucks him.

His hands press harder on the glass. “Turn me around,” Taehyung pleads. “I wanna see your face too.” And his voice sounds too innocent for someone who is getting pounded but Jeongguk listens.

He pulls out and flips Taehyung around, hiking one of his legs around his waist and crouching a little to get his cock back inside of him. Taehyung wraps his arms around Jeongguk’s neck and braces himself. His grip tightens around his waist.

“C’mere Gukkie,” Taehyung brings him close and connects their lips in hopes that he will start moving again soon, which he does thankfully.

They kiss messy and wet as Jeongguk fucks him hard. Skin slapping and panting fill the air. Taehyung feels his ass pressing against the glass of the sliding door with the motions of Jeongguk and the fact that all of those people down there can look up and witness this is so terrifyingly exciting.  That other people can potentially see him and see how good Jeongguk fucks him.

“God so-so good ,” Taehyung cries. He’s sure that the tears streaming down his cheeks transfer onto Jeongguk’s but the younger doesn’t seem to mind as he grips Taehyung’s ass and brings him down on his cock. Being so close to cumming before makes it harder for him to last but Taehyung wants to extend this for just a little longer.  Just until Jeongguk is close too.

His hand squeezes Jeongguk’s back and then scratches it down with harsh red lines, eliciting a loud moan from Jeongguk which Taehyung did not expect.

Okay, that’s something to try later.

Taehyung grinds up into him, digging his nails in and latching his lips back onto Jeongguk to give him those bits of pain that he seems to really like just as his own impending orgasm grows stronger and stronger. He feels his entire body cave with pleasure, riding up and up until he’s about to burst any second.

Clenching down on him, Taehyung drags his nails down Jeongguk’s back once more before he can feel himself unable to hold back. “I’m-I’m gonna cum,” he weeps loudly, shaking with the titillation of his cock rubbing against hard muscles. “Fuck Jeongguk can I-”

“Cum for me,” he finishes for him, wrapping a loose hand around Taehyung while he spurts and shakes and moans during the most satisfying orgasm of his entire life.

There’s no other way to explain how strong the waves of pleasure are that crash over him, how it feel so intense that he thinks his brain lapses out for a second, too overwhelmed by the euphoria of getting fucked just right.

Jeongguk’s teeth grit. He brings Taehyung down on his length with a few punctuated, staccato thrusts before he peaks as well, cumming inside Taehyung for what feels like forever. Satisfaction runs deep through him. Jeongguk has been waiting all day to do this.

His head slumps down on Taehyung’s shoulder as he catches his breath. Heart thumping loud, wetness on his stomach and thighs, dripping all over each other. Jeongguk tries to catch his breath, feeling Taehyung melt onto him like a weepy, tired, flower.

He opens his mouth to suggest a shower (and a potential round 2) but a loud noise cuts him off.

The classic noise of fireworks bursting in the sky causes both of them to look back and see sparkles falling from the sky in all sorts of patterns. Bright and beautiful, blues and reds and pinks. Some of them flash the upcoming year, 2023, some are flowers and hearts.

But Jeongguk looks at the clock and it’s only 8 p.m.

He raises a brow in question. “Someone from the street market  must’ve set those off early by accident,” Taehyung explains. “It’s happened before.”

Jeongguk laughs. His entire body feels light with orgasm and coupled with the pretty fireworks shining behind Taehyung’s even prettier face, he feels bowled over with happiness and warmth. Glad to have spent the past few months with his old rival that he’s been secretly in love with. Those moments where he had to pretend like he hated him and had to pretend like it didn’t hurt when fuckass Haru got to be with him were tough but now he’s here and he couldn’t be more happy.

Every part of him loves Taehyung. Whether it's how soft he looks after sex, the way he sleeps with his eyes a little open, how he is the pickiest eater, everything about him is something for Jeongguk to love.

“I love you angel,” he whispers, eyes grazing every mole on Taehyung’s face before ending on his eyes. “Happy fucking new year.”

Taehyung just giggles, kissing Jeongguk on the lips and then on the tip of his nose. “I love you too. Happy new year, baby.”

Even though it wasn’t midnight yet, they wished each other because it didn’t matter. Whether it was this year or last year, Taehyung and Jeongguk weren’t their happiest unless they were in each other's arms, talking and kissing and laughing. If their presence or calming words weren’t around to make even the shittiest of days feel amazing.

All thanks to an accidental voicemail, Taehyung and Jeongguk may have finally found everything they’ve ever wanted in each other.
