The Elliot family was as poised and gracious and vicious as every other pure-blood household. If not better.
Or, they were.
They were when the family tree had had so many branches twisting into each other that not a single pure-blood household didn’t have an Elliot in it. Being a pure-blood, more specifically an Elliot, meant having a large family. A litter of siblings.
The strongest branch of the Elliot tree was headed by Lazarus Elliot. He then married Ordova Lestrange, who gave him seven trueborn children before passing on. It had always been one big fucking mess.
Vaughn was the eldest, and now the head of the family after Lazarus was murdered. Then there were Gethin and Tomos—the ones who joined Grindelwald’s cause for amusement, because they were bored. Then there was Kerris, the tart. She was beautiful, but was shrill to the ear and left a bitter taste on the tongues of most. Then there was Isolde, the quiet beauty. She was who men sought—the one who could tear an empire down from the inside with a single glance.
Vaughn used that to his advantage.
Then sweet Brynn, who had left their family to marry the man she loved. It was rumoured that she would be delivering a child soon. And finally, Auryn.
Auryn, who had been the only one of seven children to inherit their mother’s deep green eyes.
Auryn, what her mother named her with her final breaths because of her golden hair.
Auryn, the one who was blamed for the death of the lovely Ordova Lestrange.
