Sandstorm, the fucking menace.
Sandstorms in general are a pain in the ass, a literal storm of sand. Nobody likes sand in their eyes and anybody who says otherwise are masochists who enjoy finding sand in random parts of their home for several days after trips to the beach, and at the worst of times.
Combined with the might of the god of pranksters and a literal teen, Shouta’s nights have been ruined by this vigilante called Sandstorm who chucks sand at anybody and everybody that deserves it.
Police suspect this kid to have a sand-related quirk but Shouta thinks otherwise, already being a witness to his super speed and strength, so what was his quirk? Nobody knows.
It was a pain to attempt to talk to the kid only to have to find himself spit sand out of his mouth while the vigilante cackles into the night and ultimately escapes. Now, Shouta has seen a lot of sand-related quirks in his underground hero days but he can say that this is not one of them, he knows because he checked. Could the kid be using sand, of all things, as a weapon?
Shouta… doesn’t know whether to call this kid smart, creative, or simply someone with too much time on their hands.
The kid clearly has a quirk, glowing with a bright green as he punches criminals and hops on rooftops like a heathen, so why dear gods would he use sand? Why not, say, a rock? It was terrifying to see the sand turn into little bullets or to see grown adults screaming and crying while watching the sand approach them.
Sandstorm has a bucket of sand with a lid fixed securely on it, and whenever he decides to chuck handfuls at people, it either ends up as:
a) The criminals screaming for fear life and begging for forgiveness, turning themselves in to the police
b) Eraserhead having to forcibly stop the vigilante, allowing for the sand to get into the criminals’ eyes.
c) (The most dreaded) The sand being hurled and resembling a canon ball
Quite creative, he’d reluctantly admit, after cleaning out sand from his hero costume for the millionth time in a week.
Eraserhead has been put on Sandstorm’s case for quite a while now, and he’s like to say the two have become close, and he’d even help the kid out on his patrols sometimes; accompanied with a warning glare to go to sleep early which would be met with an offended stare.
It was… bizarre to watch the kid fight. The kid was a good fighter but whenever Shouta watch him dig into his pockets for the dreaded sand, he’d bite back a wince as he watched the vigilante flick off the sand, or, if he was feeling particularly murderous, a whole handful. The people cleaning up after them both loved and loathed the kid because, like Shouta said, no one likes to clean up sand.
When Shouta asked Sandstorm about this, the kid would chuckle and say how many times did you have to clean up your hero costume this week or sand is inevitable and it was driving him insane.
Sometimes Shouta just felt like, grabbing the kid by the neck and lifting him up to the air, then proceeding to shake him forwards and backwards, repeatedly.

Izuku is a student of UA, and successor of All Might, and he’s been getting bored, and coincidentally has a lot of time on his hands. Anybody close to him would say that this is a very dangerous combination.
He’s been experimenting with his quirk and excitedly jotting down any and everything he discovers, feeling like a giddy child on Christmas once he discovers the pros and cons of everything he can lay his hands on. Now that it was school break and he was alone, he wandered off to Dagobah Beach with notebook and pens in hand, and with a determined air.
Can he walk on water?
It took many tries and ended up with him being ultimately soaked, but after getting determination from The Flash, a pre-quirk movie, he came to the conclusion that yes, he can walk on water if he tried hard enough. He just needed to concentrate extra hard and power up his legs, increasing his speed, and he’d be able to dash across the water. Difficult, but he’s sure he can get the hang of it in no time.

Can he use water as a weapon?
Because of One for All, his physical abilities have been greatly enhanced, and when combined with chucking items, naturally they also go far, but could liquids work? He’s seen water-related quirks but never has he seen anybody attempt this.
He marches to the shoreline and scoops up water in his palms, briefly feeling like an idiot, before powering up to 5%, and throwing it down just in front of his feet, and he feels himself filled with glee at the crater it formed a few meters down.
Using water as weapon: Yes
Suddenly feeling like hitting something, he looks wildly around, still using One for All, until he looks back down and sees the sand.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
He repeats the process with the water, and chucks the sand ahead of him, watching as the sand turned into little bullets as it penetrated through a fridge, leaving clean holes scattered across, allowing Izuku to see completely through it.
