Chapter Text
Izuku doesn’t know what to do or where to go, but he does know one thing: He absolutely /cannot/ go back home.
Not after what he saw. Not after he saw the man he loved, the man he’s been with for five and a half years, fucking some street hooker on /their/ bed. And on their anniversary too!
He was excited on the way home, he’d been out the whole day planning for tonight.
First he’d booked two tickets to the Hockey game at Musutafu tonight. It’s supposed to be the biggest game yet, where rival teams UA & Shiketsu face off to determine who will move on to finals.
But that was months ago as he knew he had to be one of the very first in line to get his hands on such close and /expensive/ seats in the stadium.
Then he spent the whole day out, well as soon as his boyfriend left for work that is, to go shopping for some new clothes for both of them and groceries for the amazing meal he was planning on having made before his partner came home.
But that doesn’t matter now, none of it does. Even more so after what that asshole had said to our already broken hearted Izuku.
**
“How could you! After all this time, all the love I’ve given you and this is what you do! And On our ANNIVERSARY?!”
“Izuku baby pl-“
“NO! No you don’t get to explain yourself, don’t even speak to me.”
Izuku backed up until the back of his knees hit the couch and made him fall onto its overstuffed cushions, immediately breaking any guarded composure he had whilst standing.
“I just don’t understand, /why/? Why cheat on me /today/? And with some random girl from the street?!”
“I had no choice! You’ve been refusing to sleep with me for the past few months, always going on about how “tired” you are and that it’s been “such a hard day at work today.” Well what about me?! What about my hard days huh?!”
Izuku dropped his head further into his Palms, hoping that this atleast could help him pickup just a /shard/ of his broken dignity. But it didn’t, it only gave way to anger.
And not the strong raging type of anger no, Izuku was broken angry, it’s the type of anger that is wet and sticks all over your body refusing to go away for just a single second, constantly reminding him of /why/ he’s angry and how much it just /hurts/ now to look at his boyfriend. Or technically Ex.
He’s been nothing but loving and supportive of his boyfriend this whole time, hell he was planning to propose tonight! But those rings will never see out of that oh so heavy velvet box in his bags.
It’s been quiet since his Ex has said what he’s said, and he’s sure it’s only been a few minutes but it feels like years were just taken from him. Like he’s spent 5 more years trying to process the sheer amount anger and hurt that been bubbling in his stomach, slowly rising up to his aching heart. But Izuku doesn’t have that kind of time on his hands. In fact it feels like he’s got no time at all.
So with a swift wipe of his palms over his now-red eyes, and a deep breathe of that icy and thick air, Izuku stands up. Abruptly almost, but slow enough for his Ex to turn back around to face him.
“I’m leaving. I’m blocking you on everything and I /never/ plan on seeing you again. Give me 10 minutes and I’ll be gone. No talking, no negotiating, and absolutely no pleading eyes.”
He stares straight at this 6’2 brainless hunk, a supposed Himbo as he’s been called, until today that is. And he feels a surge of energy, like lightning flowing through his veins as soon as those words fell off his tongue, as if he just won a war against the man who now feels miles away, but is only 5 feet across from him.
Said man slightly drops his head downwards but nods any ways.
Izuku immediately heads back to the bedroom at the back of their apartment, he doesn’t need much but all of his important documents and information are inside the nightstand on his side of the bed. He doesn’t even bother to look up at the hooker that was /still/ sitting on the bed, mindlessly scrolling through her phone as if breaking up couples is a daily occurrence in her life.
Who knows, it probably is. But that isn’t important to Izuku, he just wants to get his stuff throw some clothes into his duffel bag and get out.
Small almost-silent steps head towards Izuku from behind until it’s right next to him, and suddenly there’s a soft cheek rubbing against his calf vibrating from its purring chest. Izuku looks down and sees his fluffy mess of a ginger cat and his heart feels much lighter now.
He crouches down to the kitty, picking her up and hugging her before planting a wet kiss on her fluffy little head.
“Oh Kei-Chan you are the only love of my life now I forgot you existed for a second there honey”
He looks up at his bag, he certainly will not put his precious sun in there, but just like he said he is not leaving Keigo with that bastard. She doesn’t even like him!
He lets out a reluctant sigh through his nose. He has no choice, he has to use the crate. Keigo doesn’t like it much but she can bear for a while can’t she? So with a second look at her flat almost bored expression she always wears he heads right to the crate. And just as he suspected she started hissing and meowing but didn’t make a move to stop Izuku. She must know this hurts for him too.
And with a quick check of his bag, throwing in her cat food and any extra slightly important things to him, Izuku is out of the bedroom and practically running past the living room and to the front door. He’s leaving his keys, so without even bothering to aim he chucks his keys on the general direction of the dining table, they fall into the trash bin instead. Oh well, no use for those anymore anyways.
He doesn’t want to spare a peek to That asshole but he can’t help himself.
So just as he’s about to close the door he glances back at the sullen mass of a man in the hall way and purses his lips before saying his last words.
“Goodbye, Inasa.”
