Work Text:
Eijun’s day had begun with the afternoon sun’s streams of light entering his room. The sudden warmth of the sun aided in comforting his chilly skin, which had been rising with small goosebumps due to the ridiculously high air conditioning blasting throughout the house. It was the summer of his last year of high school, and he was beginning to study for final exams and applying to universities. However, right now, he was just happy to take a cat nap, bathing in the sunlight and enjoying the temporary silence of his house. His parents—his stepdad and his mom—had gone off to enjoy an early anniversary trip. And, originally, he had assumed he would be spending the rest of his summer break lazing around at home, playing baseball with Haruichi and Furuya, and just catching up with shoujo manga.
“No, I don’t trust you alone.”
These were the earth-shattering words his mother stated, just before reminding him of the tragedy of ’15, when he had burned the kitchen down after being left alone for approximately sixteen minutes.
Okay, so valid. But it was still irritating knowing his brother was coming back for break specifically to babysit Eijun. He and Youichi were only a year apart, damn it! And yet he was seen as far more irresponsible and less of a capable, definitely-not-a-walking-train-wreck, excuse of a teenager.
Their words, not his.
His parents left him to wallow in his own self-pity. A small mewl left his mouth involuntarily as he raised his arms above his head and stretched his body out. His back arched off the bed, hips slightly raised and body curving to the point where he trembled at the effort of his muscles loosening. He sighed, sitting up and quirking his lips, staring at the clock on the wall impatiently. Youichi had said he would be heading back home in ten minutes, and that was seven minutes ago.
Eijun’s attention span wasn’t made for this kind of mental torture.
He groaned and flopped back down onto his bed, staring thoughtfully up at the ceiling. He would never admit it, but he had missed his brother and the shenanigans that they would get into together. Or, well, it was mostly just Youichi terrifying Eijun or practicing wrestling moves on him. But he missed the moments where they would complain about their parents, go get fries, and head home to watch a movie while they threw the couch pillows at each other.
He felt entitled to that giddiness in his chest, especially when he hadn’t seen his partner in crime in a few months. Partner in crime… he thought back to himself, an idea popping into his brain like electricity to a light bulb.
I know! I’ll jump out and scare him! That’ll teach him to just leave me high and dry like that after torturing me for years!
With his mind made up, Eijun jumped off the bed—wearing his track shorts and loose tank he got from Wakana—and decided against changing.
It’s just Youichi.
He quickly ran down the stairs hearing the muffled slam of a car door from outside.
He’s here! That was fast.
Eijun glanced at the clock again and realized that his pondering had taken quite some time. He better make this quick.
Eijun sprinted as quietly as possible so as to not be heard, hiding behind the door with his hand over his mouth in an attempt to contain his mirthful snickering. Wahaha! He thought to himself, heart racing in excitement and grin stretched to an almost sinister length.
You won’t know what's coming, Youichi!
The knob of the door began to rattle and Eijun straightened up, going over the lines in his head. “Guah!” No, no, too cheesy! Maybe “Uwah!”—Ugh, no that just sounds like I’m the one who got scared! Let’s just—you know what? I’ll just stick with good ole’ reliable “Boo!”
He watched tentatively, eyes zeroed in at the turn of the knob— and once the door pushed open, Eijun jumped in front holding his hands up screaming,
“Boo!”
Except…that wasn’t Youichi.
Instead of the face of his scared stepbrother staring back at him, Eijun was looking at the hottest person he had ever seen in his entire life—and he had met Chris-senpai. The guy was tall, and just overall large— like he could envelop Eijun with just one bicep. His jaw was cut like marble and his eyes were as sharp as glass, caramel and hidden behind dark frames. His chestnut hair was pushed back by a backwards baseball cap, showing off the perfectly shaped hairline and the clear skin of his forehead. Eijun didn’t think foreheads could be attractive, but... here he was, awestruck by this model looking guy who had cheekbones higher than mountains and eyebrows so perfectly shaped and arched that he swore you could shoot an arrow from them.
The man even wore surprise really well: The color of his eyes was brought to life by his wide-eyed stare of shock. His parted lips had a slight cupid’s bow, suiting his face well.
Oh, fuck.
Eijun had just embarrassed himself in front of this delicious specimen of a man.
Oh, Fuck.
He could feel his face heat up considerably, absolutely positive that he looked like a tomato. A laugh broke them out of their stupor, coming from behind Mr. Tall, Dark, and Ride-able. Youichi stepped around the man, placed his bags down, and grinned that stupid malicious grin he always had when he outwitted Eijun.
“I knew you’d pull something like that, Bakamura! Hyahaha ! That’s why I had Miyuki here go first!” Youichi annoyingly boasted his cunning thought process while Eijun was stuck looking like a complete idiot, right in front of the sexiest guy on the planet.
“I-I—!” He stuttered out looking up at this Miyuki person. “I’m so sorry! I was trying to scare my jerk of an older brother—!”
“Hey!”
“—And you kind of just were there—! Oh my god, are you gonna sue me for, like, a premature heart attack?! Have mercy, I am but a humble high school senior!” Eijun rambled, flushing darker at the smirk that replaced Miyuki’s flabbergasted expression
“Hey—hey,” Oh god, his voice . “It’s all good, no harm done. Mochi has no manners,” He spoke smoothly, voice deep, velvety, and oh so charming, holding out his hand for Eijun to take. “Miyuki Kazuya.”
Eijun let the soft cushion of his bottom lip push itself in between his teeth to stop himself from squeaking out—a very manly squeak, if he may add—as he touched Miyuki Kazuya’s hand with his own, feeling the strong, calloused skin against his palm.
“Sawamura Eijun…” He breathed out, flushing darker at the slight—was that hunger?—in Miyuki’s gaze. Miyuki hummed, low and inviting, taking in Eijun’s form as if he were a piece of art to be gazed upon, and let that smirk of his widen, showing off his pearly whites. Eijun supposed his brother couldn’t be that bad if he brings guys like this around.
“Ah, so you’re the Bakamura Mochi goes on about.”
His brother was the absolute worst. The spawn of Satan. A complete devil incarnate.
“B-Bakamura?!” Eijun was sure he looked ridiculous with how his mouth was opening and closing, attempting to form an appropriate response before giving up and turning a sharp glare at Youichi.
“You are the absolute worst!”
“Yeah,” Youichi laughed to himself as he ruffled Eijun’s hair, messing it all up just like he messed up his love life . “It’s a talent. Anyway, Miyuki’s staying here with us during the break, so behave.”
“You’re the one who misbehaves!”
God, Eijun was so done. Now he’d be known as the bratty younger brother in front of this fine ass specimen and literally never live it down. This was so unfair—
“Wait, living with us?” Eijun blinked and looked over at Miyuki for confirmation. The small smirk and nod he got in return were his answer.
“Yeah, hope that’s not a problem.” Miyuki muttered, his voice so deep and guttural that it had sent Eijun’s stomach into a whirlwind of emotions.
“Oh,” Eijun breathed out and spluttered out a quick reply. “No, no! No problem at all! I’ll go set up your futon, if you’re staying in Youichi’s room! Um, oh! I’ll go heat up dinner too! You don’t have to do anything! As a guest you’re the VIP! VIP, I tell you!”
“Okay, Bakamura, we get it!” Youichi grumbled, and Eijun snapped a glare in his direction.
“You can get your own food.”
“Why you little—!”
Eijun quickly dodged the grabby hands of death before Youichi could strangle him and ran upstairs to fulfill his duties. Hopefully, by the time he had finished setting up, his heart would stop racing, and his head would be clear of thoughts of strong arms and pretty brown eyes.
This should definitely cure his summer boredom.
~~XxX~~
“No.”
Kazuya moved his head away from where his eyes had been glued to Kuramochi’s gorgeous younger brother. His attention was now, solely on his roommate who was looking at him with intense vexation. He was confused at the sudden denial of… wait, Kazuya didn’t even know what Youichi was denying him of.
“I’m sorry, what?” He asked, hoping to gain some clarity. Instead, Kuramochi’s face was devoid of every emotion except irritated sternness.
“I said, no.”
Kazuya was even more confused than before, trying to remember when he had even asked for something, only to be denied it.
“…No to what?”
“You are not fucking my brother. That is never happening. Dude, no.”
Kazuya couldn’t stop the laugh that erupted from his throat, throwing his hands up in a motion of surrender as Kuramochi began to form stress lines from how hard he was frowning. It wasn’t that Kazuya didn’t respect Kuramochi. That was bullshit. He respected him a lot. There was only platonic affection between them; the two of them were avoided by everyone else, so they eventually just found each other. They were best friends because of their shared dark sense of humor and off-putting personalities. He would never compromise that friendship for anything.
Or at least...that was what he thought until Kuramochi’s brother came down with the nicest ass and brightest eyes he had ever seen. Oh now... now he was tempted. Shit, he needed to stop. Friendship or ass? Friendship or ass? Friendship or—
“Dude don’t even fucking think about it! I know that dirty ass grin. It’s the grin that says, ‘I’m about to get my dick wet!' And then guess what happens?”
“I… go and get my dick wet—”
“You go and get your dick wet…!” Youichi hissed, making sure not to get his brother’s attention. “So, get it out of your head before I have to kill you, ‘cause I really don’t wanna find a new roommate!”
Kazuya grinned and threw an arm around Youichi’s shoulders. Well, ain’t that adorable? Who knew Mochi was such an overprotective brother? Alright, Kazuya—the playboy Miyuki Kazuya—decided he would behave this one time.
“Fine, fine, Mochi,” He sang, pulling away quickly as Youichi attempted to jab him in the side. “I’ll behave! Never took you to be so overprotective though~”
The dark blush and the sputtered yell that Youichi gave out would hold him over for now.
“Hey, I’m gonna go warm up food now!” Sawamura’s face popped up from the top of the staircase, hair falling over his head adorably as his head tilted to the side. “Go sit down! I’ll bring it out for you guys, since you must be tired!”
Sawamura sprinted the rest of the way down the stairs in those too tiny for words track shorts and the perky mounds of flesh bouncing with each step he took before he disappeared into the kitchen.
Youichi— very violently — punched Kazuya’s arm—which fucking hurt— and sent one last menacing, delinquent-like glare his way before joining his brother in the kitchen. Kazuya hissed, rubbing his abused bicep, and thought back to the teasing show he had just gotten a glimpse of. Fuck, he really—really hoped Youichi’s friendship would be enough to restrain his urges.
~~XxX~~
Eijun slowly twirled spaghetti on his plate with his fork in an attempt to not abashedly stare at the new arrival sitting in front of him. Youichi was going on about his classes, while he and Kazuya would laugh about their inside jokes and the professors they couldn’t stand. Eijun would occasionally chime in with a question of his own or laugh at his brother’s embarrassing drunk stories. He soon learned that Miyuki was a catcher on the first string of their university's baseball team with his brother. It was how the two had met—funnily enough. They hated each other at first, though. How they became friends was beyond him, but it must’ve been from the way they made fun of people and contained no filter. They did have similar twisted personalities.
Never mind. He could see it clearly now.
Miyuki would also join in on Kuramochi’s teasing, but it was just different. Kuramochi would say things like, “You’re being too loud, idiot!” And before Eijun could respond back, Miyuki would chime in with a cool purr of his own, saying, “ You could probably keep the neighbors up with a voice like that~” And it had felt like playful banter— a strange sense of eagerness to interact with Miyuki was a huge contrast to Youichi’s irritating older brother smothering. It made Eijun feel like there was something else in those playful words that would swallow him whole if he dared to test their meaning.
Eijun would attempt to come up with a reply, but it would just come out as a garbled mess of words. Then, Miyuki would laugh— and oh, his damned laugh . He felt the fluttery feeling rise up from the core of his chest, light and bubbly. Miyuki was so unfairly hot. The way his shirt stretched around his muscles, the sound of his voice, the way he looked at Eijun like he was on the plate instead of the spaghetti—god, how was he going to live with him for the whole summer?
“Oi, Miyuki will be doing the cooking. We can’t just let this freeloader live off of us for nothing.” Youichi declared, jabbing his thumb in Miyuki’s direction, breaking both of them out of their unofficial staring contest.
“Freeloader?” Miyuki laughed incredulously. “You invited me over.”
“Cause you’re a sad sack of shit with no friends!”
“Pot calling the kettle black, much?”
Eijun frowned. Obviously, Youichi and Miyuki were very close, with the way they joked around with each other. However, it didn’t change the fact that Miyuki was a guest— and his mother didn’t raise him to be rude to guests.
“Youichi, don’t be such a jerk!” Eijun sneered before turning to Miyuki, huffing out, “Don’t worry, Miyuki Kazuya! We won’t let you lift a finger! You’re a guest here at our humble abode, and as our guest, it is our duty to treat you with the utmost respect!”
Youichi made a sound similar to that of a dying whale, but Eijun paid him no mind. No, Eijun was going to be an amazing host. Unlike his brother, who tortures him on a daily basis. And no, his sudden need to be hospitable had nothing to do with wanting to impress Miyuki and have more opportunities to talk to him.
Obviously not.
“You really don’t need to, Sawamura,” Miyuki smirked, ever so charmingly, towards Eijun to placate him. And it was doing more than just that. “I don’t mind cooking, it’s the least I can do for staying here unannounced—”
“Nonsense!” Eijun laughed boisterously. He could not handle Miyuki’s silvery voice being directed at him in such a manner. God, he needed to step out already. “Uhm, I’ll go take the dishes for tonight! Your futons all set up so—yeah! We’re really welcoming here, so there’s no need for you to worry about anything, okay?”
Eijun began to pick up the dirty plates, along with the glasses from the coasters. He had gone around the table to pick up Miyuki’s dishes but then his hand gently brushed Miyuki’s own in an attempt to take the glass out of his hands. Eijun tried not to jump at the sudden contact, and his eyes met Miyuki’s own smoldering ones. The heat beneath that look sent Eijun’s head into a tizzy and the contradicting, gentle smile was what caused Eijun’s face to gather its own rosy color. He hoped it wasn’t noticeable, but with the way Miyuki’s face lit up even more with mirth at the change, he was sure it was.
Eijun quickly pulled away, ignoring the tingling sensations left behind on his fingertips and smiled shakily, clearing the rest of the table.
“I—um,” He attempted to ease whatever tension there was before Miyuki let out a husky chuckle.
“I’m sure you’re very welcoming. ” He hummed, low and inviting. “Thank you.” Eijun bit his bottom lip and attempted to provide a smile that wasn’t so demure.
“Of course,” Eijun whispered, quickly walking over to the sink. He was hoping that washing some dishes would help get some oxygen back into his brain. He needed to collect himself. Damn that Miyuki Kazuya. He was totally messing with him! No wonder he and his brother got along so well! Except…the way he was messing with Eijun wasn’t entirely unwanted. It had Eijun’s own heart racing in excitement and giddiness at the possibility of treading a line they did not know was there.
Calm down, Eijun . He exhaled, scrubbing the residue off of each plate absentmindedly. He’s just going to be here for summer break. After that, he’s gonna leave. Doesn’t matter how hot he is, you cannot waver!
But man, was he wavering.
~~XxX~~
“Welcoming? Are you fucking kidding me, Kazuya?” Youichi snapped, crossing his arms. He was downright pissed at the audacity of his long-time friends’ actions. God, right in front of his salad, too. The both of them were throwing each other googly eyes the whole-time during dinner. It made him want to regurgitate his food and eat it up again. That was how disgusting they were. Youichi swore on his unborn child’s life that Kazuya and Eijun needed to stay as far away from each other as humanly possible, to avoid any accidental penis touching. Being five feet apart was totally gay, and no one could explain it otherwise.
“What? I was just thanking him!” Kazuya laughed with that annoying shit-eating grin. Kazuya knew he was being a dick, and usually, Youichi was all for it. But no, he was drawing the fucking line here. He was not about to let his baby brother’s innocence— though Eijun was only a year younger—be taken away by this Satan Incarnate of a person.
“Oh my god, stay away from my brother!” He sternly warned once more, before getting up and dragging Kazuya’s dumb ass up the stairs so he could sleep off the stupid.
“Wait, I wanted dessert!”
The connotation of that sentence, mixed with whatever soft porn he had just witnessed in the dining room, had Youichi’s blood boiling once again.
“Bitch, you don’t even like sweets!”
~~XxX~~
“Harucchi, he was so hot!” Eijun whined laying on his bed, face first. He had his phone on speaker as he kicked his legs up and down, messing up the sheets in his own sexual frustration. Was it sexual frustration? He’s getting whatever he can from shoujo mangas and that, apparently, was sexual frustration. He had never felt this way about anyone before. Sure, he had fleeting crushes, but the burn Kazuya made him feel threw all those minor thoughts of other people down the drain and they’d only just met.
“You said that already, Eijun-kun.”
Oh, right— he was on the phone complaining about his apparent newfound jack-off material.
“He’s so, so hot!”
“Okay, so we’re going for a third time,” Harucchi’s exasperated sigh over the phone was ignored, as Eijun continued to groan and murmur in distaste at his own sudden infatuation. “He’s Kuramochi-senpai’s roommate, right? Uhm, Miyuki Kazuya-senpai?”
Eijun sniffed and lifted his head slightly. He didn’t remember telling Harucchi Miyuki’s name.
“Yeah, how’d you know?” Eijun turned on his back and held the phone closer to his ear, now very interested in hearing what Harucchi had to say.
“Well—hold on.” Harucchi said. “You know how your brother is dating my brother, right?”
“Mhm,” Eijun nodded, even though his friend wasn’t there to see it. “Yeah, Onii-san.”
“Yeah, so, they’re all in the same baseball team back at college, and whenever we visit Nii-san, Kuramochi-senpai would be there, and sometimes Miyuki-senpai would be there too.”
“So, you get it then?” Eijun sat up quickly. “You understand how hot he is?!”
“Eijun-kun, I’m in a committed relationship—”
“With Furuya, I know!” Eijun grinned, thinking back to the cut jawline and seductive smile of the man next door. “I mean—! If you saw him—I don’t know—walking down the street or something, wouldn’t you think he was a model?”
“Not with that fashion sense.”
“Harucchi!” Eijun groaned, wanting his friend to just admit he wasn’t insatiable.
“Okay, yes. From an unbiased perspective, Miyuki-senpai is very attractive.”
“I knew it! I don’t know—I thought he might have some type of mystical power that makes him seem super attractive, but he really just looks that good!” Eijun cheered, thankful he wasn’t having a mental breakdown but rather, having a gay panic instead. “Ugh, but he’s kinda shady you know?”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, like he’s gonna eat me up or something,” Eijun muttered. That was terrifying. Eijun really wasn’t trying to end up on Japan’s most wanted as a victim. “No wonder he gets along so well with Youichi! We just met, and he was kinda teasing me!”
“…Eijun-kun.” Harucchi said, tone indescribable. Eijun tilted his head, confused at the lack of well-deserved reaction.
“Yes, Harucchi?” Eijun replied.
“ …Never mind. Just—how about next Saturday you come with me and Sato-kun to Kanemaru-kun’s party. His parents are going to be gone that weekend so he’s inviting a few close friends. Maybe that’ll take your mind off Miyuki-senpai’s sudden appearance. ”
Eijun lit up and eagerly nodded—once again, to himself—speaking loudly to emphasize his excitement.
“Yeah! Sounds like fun! This Sawamura Eijun shall humbly accept your invite! Wahaha !”
“…Good night, Eijun-kun.”
“Night, Harucchi!”
With that, Eijun hung up and giddily lifted his feet up into the air, staring at the ceiling in wonder. A party was definitely one way to distract himself. He would be as cordial as he could towards this Miyuki Kazuya person. Eijun couldn’t let Miyuki affect him so much, or else his brother would catch on. And that would be a bloodbath all on its own...He made up his mind. During the remainder of their break, Sawamura Eijun would not kneel for Miyuki Kazuya’s good looks and charming personality! He would not bow down to the playboy persona and end up as a new shiny toy for Miyuki to mess with. He already has his brother who messes with him on a daily basis. He would play this smart.
“You hear that, Miyuki Kazuya?” He yelled as quietly as he could, in order not to draw attention to himself from outside the walls. The worst-case scenario being Miyuki hearing his little mantra. “You won’t get this Sawamura Eijun that easily! Wahahaha!”
~~XxX~~
“Youichi, get out! You’ve been in the bathroom for ages!” Eijun whined, alternating between banging his fist on the wooden bathroom door and pacing in the narrow halls impatiently as he waited for his brother to exit. Eijun woke up later than he had preferred, missing the prime opportunity for a morning run. Usually, after his run, everyone would still be sleeping so he could grab the shower for himself. Since his alarm buzzed later than it should have—he really needed to get that checked out—he missed his run. Now he had to wait for his stupid older stepbrother to be done with his stupid man-routine.
Cheetah, my ass! Eijun grumbled to himself, drowsy from having more than his usually scheduled eight hours of sleep. He’s taking his sweet time in there! More like—like! Like a sloth...Or was it a Koala?
While Eijun was so busy pondering what was the correct species to compare his brother to within the animal kingdom that he missed the sound of the rushing water shutting off from within as well as the wet footsteps approaching from the other side of the door. It wasn’t until the doorknob began to move that he glanced up, eyes blazing, ready to give Youichi a piece of his mind.
“Finally! God, Youichi! You took forever! I have to pee, you know! You can’t just stop a man’s bladder—!”
His breath hitched and all the words were thrown straight back down his throat, practically choking him. That was not Youichi. Standing in front of Eijun, in all his naked glory, was Miyuki Kazuya. He was still dripping wet from his shower, hair pushed back out of his face as to avoid the wet droplets from falling into his eyes. His tan skin was damp and shiny, showing off broad pectorals, wide shoulders, and structured abs. It was obvious that Miyuki stuck with a strict routine. No one had muscles like that without having a set diet and workout regimen that suited such a build. If Eijun wasn’t so captivated at the moment by the brilliantly nude display, he would have had time to feel envious over how Miyuki’s body is much broader and developed in comparison to his own lean one. The only thing stopping Miyuki from reaching flagrant nudity was the thin white towel that stretched around his sharp hips and tucked in loosely at the side. The slight drag of the towel allowed Eijun a peek at the v-cut abs most men can only dream of achieving. Then there was the thick trail of dark brown hair that followed a path down his belly button, peeking behind the towel.
Eijun had no time to think, really. All the collective brain cells he had attempted to gather for the morning up and vanished from the astonishing sight. His chest was pounding with—was it arousal? Attraction? Nervousness? He hadn’t a clue. It was hard to grasp his bearings when Miyuki had pulled the rug under him so swiftly with just his appearance. Eijun was never one to be so hung up on something as shallow as looks, yet here he was—awestruck and headed to cloud nine over Miyuki Kazuya’s entire being.
A deep, velvety chuckle tore Eijun away from his inner musings. He jolted, realizing how shameless he was being—staring wide-eyed at the man with no regards to personal boundaries. He felt his hackles rise at the irritatingly attractive laughter and the burning heat on his cheeks from pure embarrassment.
“Sorry ‘bout that, Sawamura.” Miyuki hummed, placing his glasses back on and smirking so deviously down at Eijun. “I’ll get outta your hair. Don’t want your bladder to suffer on my account, right?”
“Bla—?!” Eijun gasped, face surely turning even redder at the sudden jab of his own words. “I’ll have you know, Miyuki Kazuya! That’s an actual problem! What if I—I don’t know, developed kidney stones?! I’d sue you for bathroom hogging and not allowing me to relieve myself! Your sarcasm is so not needed right now—stop laughing, you bastard!”
Miyuki was shaking, hysterical at Eijun’s rant—which was so insulting! This—this four-eyed tanuki was teasing Eijun and he had just woken up! How could he be so insensitive to others' needs?
“Oh, I swear, Miyuki Kazuya! You four-eyed jerk! I’ll put salt in your coffee!”
“Now that isn’t any way to treat your guest!” Miyuki grinned, stepping so he was standing on the opposing side from Eijun, trying to move across the narrow space. “Besides~ I’m cooking breakfast, so let me just—"
Before Eijun could really continue his inner blasphemy toward Miyuki, he was stopped by Miyuki attempting to shuffle in between the hallways, past Eijun. Because of the ridiculously small width within that certain part of the house, Eijun was pressed up against one wall while Miyuki—being pushed back by the opposite side—had no choice but to pin Eijun, chest to naked, naked, chest and face to face. Eijun’s mouth was still slightly open from his previous attempt to defend himself from Miyuki yet he was cut off again by the flush of skin against his own. His eyes were wide, looking up at Miyuki’s own surprised ones. So he didn’t do it on purpose? They were so close—so terribly close that Eijun could feel the heat from the shower on Miyuki’s skin and the water seeping through his own clothes.
Eijun let out a tiny, almost inaudible gasp from the press, feeling hotter than ever during this summer heat. A drop of water from Miyuki’s forehead fell onto Eijun’s cheek, making him jerk from the impact. Eijun’s wide-eyed gaze was still on Miyuki’s, who glanced at the drop with darkened eyes, his Adam’s apple bobbing heavily, swallowing at the sight. Eijun bit his lip, finding the slightly stern expression on Miyuki’s face to be much more—not enticing, no that wasn’t the word—thrilling.
Eijun’s fingertips slightly shook at his sides, unable to decide whether to reach up and push Miyuki back or to pull him in closer. He was praying to whatever deity could hear him for Miyuki to lose his sense of touch, so that he wouldn’t be able to feel the wild thumping of Eijun’s heart. Then, Miyuki raised a large calloused hand up to cup Eijun’s cheek, making him tense up at the feeling. Eijun had no clue what the other was thinking—Miyuki’s expressions were steeled, eyes sharp and unwavering. The urge to pull away was strong, so strong that he himself believed his flight or fight response had stopped working altogether and he was just stuck in the ever-horrifying freeze category.
The pad of Miyuki’s thumb swiped across Eijun’s right cheek, making him close that eye and purse his lips at the slightly rough and warm touch. His finger caught the drop of water that had landed there and cleaned off the wet residue that the trail left behind. Just as quickly as Miyuki’s hand was there, it had left, leaving behind the imprint of lingering heat on Eijun’s skin.
“Sorry,” Miyuki mumbled, finally sliding past Eijun. Eijun shook his head rapidly, almost getting whiplash and quickly rambled out a reply in order to appease Miyuki’s own awkward— cute— apology.
“N—No it’s fine! The hallways are pretty narrow, so I understand! Um, sorry about—the door—” It was getting increasingly embarrassing to continue. There had to be a hole for him to bury himself in somewhere, Eijun just couldn’t take living right now. He had no clue what just happened, but he understood the lingering disappointment of Miyuki’s touch leaving him, and it was doing something to his usually confident self.
“Haha, don’t think too hard, Bakamura. You’ll hurt yourself~”
Eijun’s jaw dropped. How could he go from staring into Eijun’s eyes like a regular shoujo protagonist to jumping back into the asshole, meat head, neanderthal, villain persona?
“Ugh!” Eijun threw his hands up frustratedly stomping into the bathroom and shutting the door. Miyuki’s rage-inducing cackle from the other side only seemed to get louder.
He swore he was not going to let Miyuki Kazuya tease him so easily...Again!
~~XxX~~
Breakfast was…pleasant for Kazuya’s standards. He was used to eating alone at home and at the dorms, and Kuramochi’s schedules never lined up with his except for dinner. Sharing the most important meal of the day with his best friend—he would never say that to Kuramochi’s face—was… nice. They laughed about Masuko shaving his head and the stupid stuff on television that had the two of them rolling on the floor because of an inside joke they shared. Reminiscing and creating new memories was a nice change in his usual routine; his usual routine being talking to himself after making his own food and dealing with a dad who practically ignored his existence and would only acknowledge him if Kazuya forgot to save leftovers. So yes, it was very nice.
Including the little show he was getting with it.
As he laughed with Kuramochi over whatever the fuck happened during their first semester together and the dumb parties they went to, Sawamura was in the kitchen, moving his hips and washing the dishes clean. The dining room and the kitchen were divided by a wall with just a cut-in square window, allowing him to admire the sensual display of swaying hips Eijun provided through the view. Even though they had just met, the little spitfire already had him under a spell. Sure, Kuramochi talked about him a lot, complained, bragged—all the normal things siblings usually do. However, not once was it mentioned that this Sawamoron was drop-dead gorgeous. His mind wandered back to the little incident earlier that morning, where he was just close enough to perceive the small freckles that dusted over Sawamura’s button nose, the little specks of the gold within those bright golden eyes, that slight alluring pout to his lips—
“Kazuya, look at me.”
Miyuki blinked rapidly, snapping out of his daydream, and faced Kuramochi’s surly stare. It seemed as though he had caught Kazuya red-handed. Well, it wasn’t as if Kazuya wasn’t playing the honorable guest role. He promised Kuramochi he wouldn’t touch Sawamura in his house. He failed to mention anything about gazing appreciatively at the work of art called Sawamura Eijun’s butt.
“What?” He laughed, hoping to ease the oncoming glare. “You’ll get wrinkles like that, Mochi-chan~”
“Shut up, you twisted bastard! You know what!” Kuramochi wrinkled his nose in disgust and shoved Miyuki harder than he would have appreciated by the shoulder. The asshole, with all his time as a delinquent and a baseball player, was stronger than he looked. “Quit looking at Eijun like that!”
“I’m just making sure he’s washing the dishes right!” A lame excuse from Kazuya, but hopefully he’d take it. “You know I’m finicky about stuff like that!”
“Yeah and you’re finicky about what ass you bring to bed too, but it better not be my brother, got it?”
Kazuya rolled his eyes, leaning his chin on his fist and nodded lazily. “Yeah,” He waved Kuramochi off, knowing it would get under his skin, and continued to gaze at Sawamura’s perky backside. “You’re overthinking it.”
“Dude, you’re checking him out right in front of me!”
Kazuya really hated Kuramochi in moments like these. He sighed heavily and steeled his expression, jerking his head to his friend—holding back the urge to laugh at the small surprised jolt Kuramochi had in response—and placed a heavy hand on Kuramochi's shoulder. He was going to say it once, and only once. He and Kuramochi had been through thick and thin together. He wasn’t about to risk it all for Kuramochi's adorable little brother that had an ass that wouldn’t quit.
“Kuramochi.” Kazuya said. “You’re my best friend. I would never disrespect you in your own house like that.”
Kuramochi seemed to soften at that, his shoulders relaxing, and the tense look on his face dropping to one of relief. He exhaled and pushed off Kazuya’s hand before rolling his eyes. “Don’t touch me, jerk. You look like you have rabies.”
Kazuya laughed. “Thanks, dickhead.”
“It wasn’t a compliment!”
Kazuya sighed, wiping a fake tear from his eye, and tuned the rest of Kuramochi’s insults out. Looking through the window again, Sawamura must have heard the thundering arguments from Kuramochi’s side and was peering through with wide, curious eyes and a suspicious pout on his lips.
“You guys!” Sawamura yelled. “Don’t be so loud! You’re gonna bother the neighbors.”
Kazuya laughed at the gall. Talk about irony. No one was louder than Sawamura right now. If anyone was going to get the cops called on them, it would be Sawamura’s rambunctious cries. It seemed like Kuramochi had the same thought, his devious smirk matching Kazuya’s own. This was definitely why they’re friends.
They shared the same level of asshole-ry.
“Oi, Eijun! You’ve got some balls talking to us about being loud when your voice could literally be heard across a stadium without a mic.” Kuramochi leaned his arm on the ledge of his chair, cackling tauntingly towards Sawamura’s indignant face.
“Wow~! So annoying~!” Kazuya chimed in playfully. He watched that round face scrunch up more, little nose wiggling in vexation.
“Hah?! You guys were the one being—!”
“Shut it, Sawamoron!”
“Yeah, Sawadunce.”
“Miyuki Kazuya! Stay out of family business!”
He needed some sort of fucking god of patience to come down and bitch slap him because Kazuya could not have this much self-restraint when it came to Sawamura Eijun.
~~XxX~~
The rest of the morning went on with Youichi, Eijun, and Miyuki sitting and watching the major leagues—making commentary and talking about the different types of plays that had gone on during the game. Eijun cheered for the pitchers, excited to see the different balls in play—cutters, breaking balls, fork balls, Eijun loved them all. As a pitcher himself, he was enthusiastic to see professional league baseball compared to his own high school experience. Miyuki and Youichi made their own notes and statements during the game, though the same enthusiasm wasn’t expressed the same way. Youichi would cackle, shove Miyuki’s shoulder and point at an infielder’s mistakes. After that, he would either just stay quiet, observing with an excited grin, or stiffen up when his team was on the verge of giving up runs.
Miyuki on the other hand, wasn’t silent per se, he was more observant. He took time to analyze each play on the screen, make his commentary on what pitch should or would be thrown, and then go back to a calculating bearing. He would chuckle at Youichi’s jabs of excitement and sometimes, would glance a fond eye over at Eijun—not that he had noticed or anything— but mostly, he had been pin-drop silent.
It seemed out of character, different from earlier this morning. It was not an un-welcomed change, just unexpected. Eijun couldn’t say he hated it, as it just further heightened Miyuki’s own attractiveness—actually now that he thought about it once more, that was annoying in its own right. He scratched out his previous statement; Miyuki’s rise in hotness had only boiled over Eijun’s burning irritation furthermore.
During Eijun’s inner speculations on this newfound guest of theirs, Youichi had decided he was craving umaibo. When Eijun attempted to explain to his high maintenance brother that they were currently out of umaibo and that the kitchen was stocked with everything else, Youichi insisted his craving could not be fulfilled with anything but umaibo.
“Just go grab some from the convenience store down the street! It’s not that hard!” Youichi argued. Eijun had begun to ponder the pros of becoming an only child.
“Oh my god, just go yourself! Why do I have to go for you?” Eijun retorted, arms crossing in indignation. Youichi had been gone for months so his time as the apparent self-proclaimed ‘alpha’ of the house was null and void. It was time for Eijun to stand up to him and put his foot down at each little unreasonable demand Youichi would make.
Youichi, unimpressed with Eijun’s defiance, rose an arched eyebrow with a sleazy smirk attached to his mouth and leered towards Miyuki before tittering,
“When Eijun was a freshman, the first thing he did was—”
Okay, Youichi had made his point. It was Youichi’s world and Eijun had just been living in it. Quickly, jumping to his feet like rapid-fire, Eijun bellowed out to interrupt the onslaught of embarrassment that would come his way if Youichi did not shut up.
“Ah! Okay, I’ll go, I’ll go!” Eijun screeched holding his blushing cheeks. Miyuki’s eyebrows raised with a mischievous grin at Eijun’s animated reaction. Eijun bristled, preparing for the onslaught of humiliation headed his way.
“Wait, wait, hold up,” Miyuki sat up suddenly interested. “What happened during—?”
“Nothing happened!” Eijun shrieked and faced Youichi, who opened his mouth to continue the story. “Don’t say anything or else I won’t go!”
Eijun was completely justified for his reaction, in his defense. Freshman year was a disaster. His amazing first day as a bright-eyed, naïve, enthusiastic freshman was torn to shreds in ten minutes. His first step inside the building of his school ended with three people in the nurse’s office and six people suspended not including him. All because he accidentally fell face first onto a cart filled with natto.
He still has nightmares.
“Alright, Alright,” Kuramochi conceded. “Just hurry and go! Oh, take the grocery list too. We’re running out of stuff.”
Eijun really, really hated when his brother used his older sibling privileges.
“Fine, you lazy jerk of a brother!” Eijun hissed, frantically moving to grab his shoes and leave. He couldn’t get away from those two assholes fast enough.
“Why don’t I come with?”
He paused, left foot halfway in his sneakers, gawking at Miyuki’s sudden self-invite. Eijun wouldn’t be opposed—not really. But he had a kindling idea that the tanuki looking man before him would end up just teasing him relentlessly, making the short trip feel endlessly longer.
“N-No it’s okay,” Eijun said, internally cursing at his own stutter. “I’m perfectly capable of handling the groceries myself, thank you very much!”
“I’m not gonna bite.” Miyuki snickered, standing up to walk over and put on his own shoes. “Well, sometimes~” He ended with a wink. Eijun felt his cheeks warm up and turned back around. What he hadn’t noticed was the sharp glare Youichi sent Miyuki, who just smugly leaned closer to Eijun. Eijun, still ignorant to the exchange, finished putting on his shoes and harrumphed at Miyuki.
“Fine, but you have to be on your best behavior! And don’t wander off! The grocery store is big!”
“I’m not a child.” The corners of Miyuki’s mouth twitched while his eyebrows furrowed. “If anything, I’m more worried about you following some random stranger to their house thinking it’s me.”
Eijun gasped and shoved Miyuki’s shoulder. The four-eyed bastard continued to laugh straight to Eijun’s face while putting on his own shoes and grabbing Eijun’s shoulder, pulling him into his strong chest. Eijun felt Miyuki’s body heat seep into his own skin. He tried to ignore the rich pine scent radiating off of Miyuki; it was muddling his thoughts with inappropriate ideas. What would the rest of his body feel like— smell like? Would it be just as delicious everywhere else? Eijun would buy that cologne without hesitation if he could just to drench everything he owned with it.
That’s how addicting Miyuki Kazuya was.
“Oi, you two better come straight back. No detours.” Kuramochi sneered, “I’m serious. And stay in public!”
“Yes, onii-san~” Miyuki cooed out, dodging a couch pillow that was thrown at him. “I’ll be sure to bring your cute little brother back home in time.”
Eijun’s brain malfunctioned. Cute? Did he just say Eijun was cute?
“W-What?! Miyuki Kazuya I—!” Eijun could not even deny the statement before he was dragged outside with the larger man. The door shut behind him and there was a moment of silence between the two of them. Eijun did not know whether to thank him or yell at him for that rude exit.
He turned his astonished gaze to Miyuki, looking directly into the lion’s den. Miyuki’s slightly sharp grin and seductive, lidded eyes sent shivers up Eijun’s spine straight to the nape of his neck. He bristled and bit his lip at the slight desire Miyuki was emitting through his fixated gaze.
Any words were caught in Eijun’s throat, and he was unable to speak full sentences. Miyuki’s look of arousal froze him in his spot. As if knowing Eijun was immobile, the corners of Miyuki’s lips stretched wider.
“Well? Lead the way, spitfire.”
Eijun was screwed.
~~XxX~~
The grocery trip was more…domestic than Kazuya had planned it to be. He wasn’t even sure if domestic was the right word. That sounded too much like commitment and he wasn’t a commitment sort of guy. He couldn’t deny that he was terribly attracted to the amber-eyed cutie known as Sawamura Eijun. He had to hold himself back—he really needed to hold himself back. Else he fears complications regarding his friendship with Kuramochi. And he wasn’t willing to jeopardize that for some temporary fun.
But Sawamura didn’t feel like temporary fun. He felt like waking up to warm kisses, warmer hugs, and sunflower smiles that he would be gifted with every minute of the day. Kazuya had just met him and thinking of even using Sawamura to fulfill a temporary hole in his touch starved heart left an unsavory taste in his mouth. The boy—naïve, happy, and loud—didn’t deserve Kazuya’s burdens to tear him apart.
Even if Kazuya wanted to pull him apart by the seams and watch those doe eyes tear up in pleasure.
Yes, he has issues.
They continued to banter within the aisles of the store, arguing over which cantaloupe looked more appetizing— (“I watched a YouTube video, Miyuki Kazuya! I think I know how to test for ripeness!” “You can’t possibly think a YouTube video would be more accurate than someone who actually works in the produce section. Just ask the worker!”) –and much more. But Kazuya couldn’t say he hated it. Sawamura had a way of making each mundane little thing so full of life. He was a natural mood maker and his extroverted personality was endearing.
“Miyuki, look! They have matcha! I want matcha!”
Kazuya’s smile grew a little wider, unable to hold back the fondness swelling in his chest at the enthusiasm Sawamura emitted with his infectious grin.
“Okay, okay we can grab some drinks too.” Kazuya exhaled, feigning irritation, and went up to the cooler placed in the middle of the store. He grabbed the matcha drink Sawamura was whining like a brat for and a coffee for himself. He handed it to Sawamura who rewarded him with a blinding pearly white smile.
As if he would ever say no to a smile like that.
Doesn’t mean he’ll admit it.
“You’re such a little kid, whining like that.” Kazuya teased, watching Sawamura go cat-eyed and stiff. Kazuya knew what was coming but was still unprepared for the ear ringing yell Eijun emitted.
“How dare you, Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura shouted, shoulders bunched up. He brought the cool green drink to his face and pressed a plump cheek against the plastic glass. “This is a man’s drink! Not everyone can appreciate the fine, delicate, and slightly bitter taste of matcha! At least I don’t drink black coffee! It’s literally Satan’s piss! You are drinking Satan’s piss!’
“Don’t repeat it twice you idiot!” Kazuya whispered back harshly, ears reddening at the scandalized reactions of onlookers. “People can hear you!”
“Pissing is a normal bodily function, Miyuki—”
“Oh my god,” Kazuya couldn’t handle Sawamura’s random bold moments. It was such a strange one-eighty from the blushing, timid act he would put on when Kazuya would flirtatiously tease him with honeyed words. He sighed and moved towards the register.
They stood in line at checkout, grabbing everything they needed for the house. As they waited for the register belt to become clear, the topic of baseball came up randomly, allowing a rather thrilling conversation to pick up. Kazuya was, as Kuramochi puts it, a baseball fanatic. His mind always went back to the sport, even when he was away from it. And thankfully, Eijun was just as much of a baseball head as he was.
“I pitch for my high school team.” Sawamura grinned, placing each item onto the conveyor belt. Kazuya’s eyebrows raised. That was interesting. Especially considering the position he, himself, played. He recalls Kuramochi mentioning that as well. However, whenever Sawamura’s name came out of ‘Mochi’s mouth, it would be paired with ‘loud-mouthed idiot’ or ‘fluke pitcher’! Sawamura, from what he’s noticed, was a lefty—a southpaw then.
“Hm, are you even on the bench?” Kazuya added slyly, unable to help himself. Sawamura made such entertaining faces. He watched as Sawamura’s face scrunched up and went cat-eyed in irritation. It felt as if the area was heating up with the imaginary fire popping out around him.
“How dare you question my skill as a pitcher, Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura roared. Miyuki had to take a step back and plug his ears at the earth-quaking sound. “I’ll have you know, I’m a starter! On the first string! I’m a relief pitcher! Relief! Do you even know what that is?! A relief pitcher—”
“Yeah, yeah, I know what that is, geez.” Kazuya cut in, rolling his eyes. “You don’t have to yell each time, loudmura.”
“That was lame.” Sawamura blinked. Kazuya had nothing to say to that. It was a rather lame insult. Instead, he decided to stretch the plump cheeks on the younger’s face.
“Shut up~” Kazuya sang out while pulling on the Sawamura’s soft skin and laughed at the inaudible insults that Sawamura attempted to throw his way. Finally, he let go and allowed the cheeks to snap back into place. Sawamura pouted petulantly while rubbing his, now, reddened skin. That, plus the tiny teardrops which threatened to fall off the corner of Sawamura’s eyes had Kazuya’s mind spinning. He began to think on how to make that adorable expression even more debauched—maybe by whispering praises into his ear, or by making him ride Kazuya until he was begging for something more, something only Kazuya could give him.
“You’re some big shot catcher though, right?” Sawamura cut through Kazuya’s—once again—straying thoughts. He can’t keep falling down this hole. He already chose friendship over ass, there is no way he is risking that.
“I wouldn’t say big shot.” Kazuya chuckled, “But yeah, I’m a catcher. I’m definitely good though.” Kazuya was confident in his own abilities. He made sure-fire plays and always brought the best out of each pitcher he was in a battery with. His curiosity was killing him, though—he really wanted to experience Sawamura’s pitch firsthand and see what Kuramochi had tended to brag about when drunk. However, Kazuya was not going to just ask outright. Oh, no. He knows Sawamura’s type. And after confirming that Kazuya was, indeed, a catcher, Sawamura would be demanding for Kazuya to catch his pitches. It was only a matter of time before—
“Catch for me, Miyuki Kazuya!”
There it was. Kazuya sometimes scared himself with how good he was. He sighed, and shook his head, the corners of his mouth twitching up. God, these pitchers are all the same. Greedy.
“Hm?” He glanced away, seemingly uninterested. “And what’s in it for me?”
“In it for you?” Sawamura repeated, head tilting inquisitively to the side. He was terribly adorable. It almost made Kazuya want to catch for him regardless.
“Yeah,” He chuckled. “What’s in it for me? What do I get out of catching your pitches? It’s my vacation, you know. I don’t need to be spending it playing baseball when I’m supposed to be resting.” A complete lie. He would definitely be playing baseball, training, or doing anything baseball-related during the offseason. Technically, the summer was the season for baseball. However, their team had gotten out early during one of their matches—which, regrettably, was more of a battle of luck rather than skill. Getting matched to a powerhouse school had removed their team for national qualifiers thus leading him to follow Kuramochi back home.
Usually, Kazuya would have just stayed on campus during the summer. It’s what he did back at the dorms in Seidou and it wasn’t against the rules to stay during the break. But, Kuramochi—who also would have stayed—needed to head home to take care of his little brother and dragged Kazuya along with him. He mentioned something like, “You’re too much of a depressed baseball idiot to be left alone! You’re coming with me so you can get some fresh air, you goddamn shut in!” Which, by the way, was terribly rude, but what choice did Kazuya have? Before he could even blink, Kuramochi had gone through all of his things, packing his bags for him and hauled him off to the airport.
He wasn’t going to tell Sawamura that.
Kazuya watched as Sawamura’s face scrunched up in contemplation. Sawamura’s foot tapped impatiently on the white tiled floors of the store while Kazuya moved up in line, following the items they placed on the conveyor belt. Every little action Sawamura did, whether it involved greeting people or just walking in silence, he did so animatedly. It was endearing and tugged on Kazuya’s rusty heart strings. Kazuya just needed incentive from Sawamura to catch his pitches. He can’t become so soft-hearted just because of some big bright puppy dog eyes. Although, it was getting extremely hard to resist.
“Fine! You want something, Miyuki Kazuya?!” Sawamura shouted, startling the cashier. Kazuya smiled apologetically. “I’ll give you something! It’ll be the best thing ever!”
“Okay, so what is it?” Kazuya asked curiously. Just what could this adorable little kouhai of his have that would pique his interest? Dirtier offers went through his head—maybe Sawamura would offer his body, maybe he would beg Kazuya to do the worst things to him—but seeing the innocent look on that beaming face, Kazuya knew it couldn’t be that.
Eijun comically made a zip motion against his pursed lips, signaling to Kazuya that he wouldn't say a word about his surprise. Kazuya shook his head with a chuckle and smiled.
“Alright, fine. But if it ends up being something lame, I’m making you do my laundry for the rest of the time I’m staying here.” He hummed, a wicked smile on his face. Sawamura flinched back, nose crinkling in disgust.
“So, your true colors show, Miyuki Kazuya! You tanuki jerk!”
“Hahaha! Thanks~”
“It wasn’t a compliment!”
He probably wouldn’t be thanking Kuramochi any time soon for taking him against his will. Instead, he would just thank him in his head, because Kazuya was able to meet Sawamura and witness the sight of his adorable face—puffed out and pouting. If he couldn’t touch, Kazuya would sure as hell watch.
~~XxX~~
A week after their set quid pro quo, Eijun and Miyuki finally were set up to start pitching practice in the backyard of the house. Youichi, luckily, was over at Harucchi’s house to spend time with Onii-san. That meant Eijun was alone, in his house, with Miyuki Kazuya. Who was alone. In his house. With him. They were alone. Together. And alone.
Oh my God, I can’t breathe.
Eijun hadn’t thought this through. His heart was beating out of his chest in nervousness at the possibility of spending the whole day inside of his house with the, ever so sexy, Miyuki Kazuya. Sure, they had gone shopping together alone before. However, they were within the public eye so Eijun hadn’t really thought about it. Inside the comfort of his own home allowed for much more privacy— privacy for what? God, what was Eijun thinking? Nothing was going to happen. Even though he desperately craved it. Every time his eyes would find the couch or the kitchen counter, his mind would form obscene images of Miyuki bending him over and fucking him ruthlessly there.
Eijun needed to stop. First of all, he was a virgin so he had no idea how sex with Miyuki would actually work. Would it hurt? Would he cry? Would he be scarred from sex forever and become a priest, swearing himself to celibacy? Second of all, he was, as his friends call him, dense as a lead. He wouldn’t have the slightest clue on whether Miyuki was interested in him or not. Miyuki was so difficult to read. He teased Eijun relentlessly along with his brother and was an evil manipulative tanuki. But he also was so sweet at times.
Sometimes, when Eijun wouldn’t be able to sleep—dreams of a man whose face he’s forgotten, a man he called his dad, keeping him up—he would walk down to the living room only to see a lone Miyuki Kazuya sitting on the beaten-up couch, looking over his laptop with inquisitive eyes. The light coming off of the screen bounced gently onto his sharp features, illuminating them in the dark. Instead of greeting Miyuki, far too sleep-deprived to really muster up the strength and say ‘hello’, Eijun would go into the kitchen, pour two glasses of water, and walk over to Miyuki. Eijun would sit next to him and hand him one of the glasses.
The first time Eijun had done that, Miyuki was startled. He straightened up as if attempting to place a wall between him and Eijun. Eijun was stubborn though, and would just smile drowsily in his direction, saying nothing about Miyuki’s obvious sleep deprivation.
“Go to bed, Bakamura…” He had whispered the first time, glasses glinting from the limited light. Eijun shook his head and unconsciously moved closer at the warmth the older boy was emitting.
“When you go to bed, so will I.” Eijun murmured. That had been the end of the conversation that night. Ironically, Eijun had ended up falling asleep regardless on the couch. When he woke up, however, he was back in his own bed. The next few nights involved more talking. They would whisper memories and laughs—so close together it was as if that was a secret only the two of them shared. When Miyuki would tease Eijun, Eijun would push him lightly. When Eijun would compliment Miyuki, Miyuki would look away, ears reddening. Eijun's chest would swell with excitement at their past-midnight talks—because seeing this side of Miyuki was so much more than just seeing Miyuki.
“You ready, Sawamura?”
Eijun snapped his head up, blinking out of his flashbacks. Miyuki had dressed himself up in a tight black full-sleeved muscle shirt that definitely served its purpose. He had his jersey pants on—white and a bit used—with some sports goggles covering his eyes instead of the dark rectangle frames he usually adorned. How does a man with more clothes on than usual look even hotter than when he had them off? Maybe it was the baseball mitt—maybe, Eijun had a strange kink.
Or maybe it was just because it was Miyuki Kazuya.
There was no need to be nervous. Even if Eijun's heart would flutter every time Miyuki said his name, even if his stomach would twist up in tight knots and his throat clogged with words of affection, Miyuki was his friend and being beside him was…enthralling.
With a wide grin, Eijun said, “Yeah! Hurry and catch for me Miyuki Kazuya!”
~~XxX~~
Catching for Sawamura was…definitely more interesting than Kazuya had originally thought it would be. For starters, the boy was a southpaw—a pretty powerful weapon on its own. Another thing was that form. His arm would bend back all the way, to the point where it looked like it disappeared from the batter’s box. And then when it would whip back, his forearm was still practically invisible—Kazuya was not able to see the pitch until the last minute where Eijun would release it into the air.
The most exciting thing about Sawamura’s pitch wasn’t the speed or the control. No, it definitely wasn’t that sucky control. It was the fact that his pitch moved. It moved at the batter’s box and it went in a different direction each time. Sawamura had also pitched a changeup—each one, once again moving a different direction. It blew his mind away—not that Kazuya would ever admit that. Every time the pitch would hit his mitt, the loud thump ringing in his ears, Kazuya would feel a sense of exhilaration, something he would only get when playing baseball. It was fun playing with Sawamura. It didn’t feel like a chore. He would tease him for each ball he threw or the horrible lack of control, and Sawamura’s reactions would always have him bellowing in laughter.
Kazuya forgot when he had played baseball like this before—where it was less stress-inducing and more enjoyable. No that’s not it… Baseball was always enjoyable; it was just playing with Sawamura. Playing with Sawamura was like being a kid again, finding out he wanted to be a catcher, and putting his all into baseball like it was his lifeline. It is his lifeline. But Sawamura was the summer breeze, was the smell of the mound, was the feeling when you hit a home run.
He was everything Kazuya loved about baseball and more.
By the time they had finished, the sun was already setting. Kazuya decided to call it a night—even if he didn’t want to himself.
“Alright, Bakamura! That’s it!” Kazuya called out, standing up and dusting off his knees. The whine he got in return had him chuckling, fond of the adorable little actions of his greedy pitcher.
Wait, not his. Sawamura was not his.
“But we just started!” Sawamura stomped his feet childishly and crossed his arms. “Just one more pitch!”
“You said ‘one more pitch’ five pitches ago!” Kazuya laughed. “No, you pitched enough. The number of balls you threw…Wow, Sawamura. Even I need a mental break after that.” He shook his head teasingly while Sawamura gasped, offended.
“Guh—! It’s not my fault! It’s the wind!”
“There was no wind!” Kazuya held his sides laughing louder. This guy was ridiculous! So cute.
Sawamura harrumphed and shouted, “Fine! You’re not getting your gift from me!”
That stopped Kazuya in his tracks. He stood upright and faced Sawamura with an irritated scowl. Is this kid joking? This was supposed to be an even exchange. Sure, he liked catching for Sawamura, but they had made a deal and Kazuya wasn’t going to allow his prize to fall from his hands just because Eijun wanted to be a little brat.
“Oh? So, you make your reliable senpai catch over twenty mediocre pitches for you,” Kazuya took steps to close the distance between him and Sawamura, eating up the slightly terrified but heated expression on Sawamura's wide-eyed look. “Promising to deliver something that would interest me, only to back out?” By the time he was towering over Sawamura, toe-to-toe with him, the younger boy was shrinking in on himself, attempting to look even smaller. Kazuya, liking this view of submission slurred deeply, “That’s not very nice of you.”
Sawamura’s face flushed a beautiful pink, the color running down to his neck and towards the tip of his ears. His puppy dog eyes widened as if trying to appease Kazuya’s anger. A nervous laughter fell from Sawamura’s trembling lips, and he swallowed thickly before deciding to speak.
“I—I was just joking, Miyuki-senpai! I am a man of my word!” Sawamura's face, red from either the summer heat or Kazuya’s proximity towards him. “Um—”
“So?” Kazuya hummed, unable to stop whatever electricity was in the air between them. “What are you gonna give me?”
The confident shine was back into Sawamura’s eyes before he could even blink. His head was up, facing Kazuya confidently with a toothy, pearly white smile that had Kazuya’s heart stopping. He then scrunched up his nose, his eyes crinkling slightly, and the smile still wide on his face.
“You’re just gonna have to catch me to find out.”
With that, Sawamura sprinted off, laughing excitedly, making his way inside the house. He quickly shut the backyard doors and locked it before Kazuya could even register what happened and chase after him. Kazuya cursed playfully running up to the clear glass doors and banged lightly.
“Ha, ha Sawamura, very funny. Let me in!”
Sawamura feigned ignorance, pouting cutely and cupping his ear as if saying he could not register what Kazuya was saying through the doors. Kazuya glared impishly before running around the backyard to the front door. Once he got around and grabbed the knob, Sawamura had attempted to stop him and held the door from the other side. However, before Sawamura could shut the door all the way, Kazuya used his stronger build to push it all the way open and lightly shove Sawamura out of the way. Sawamura squealed, quickly letting go of the door knowing he would be unable to shut Kazuya out by force and ran past the hallway into the living room.
Oh, this little kitten wanted to play? Kazuya was fast enough to keep up with Sawamura but Sawamura was also flexible enough to get out of Kazuya’s hold before it became sturdy. They were laughing, playing cat and mouse around the house, running around tables and jumping over couches, immersing themselves in this little game of theirs.
Kazuya was on cloud nine, a sense of euphoria, enjoyment, and a bit of possessiveness filling him as he chased the little spitfire around. Sawamura was obviously pretending he didn’t want to be caught by Kazuya, his little trills and yelps of surprise were all followed by giggles and laughs that had Kazuya laughing with him. He wanted to grab Sawamura by the waist and spin him around to induce more of that lively sound while claiming Sawamura as his. There was something primal in the chase that had him eager to win, to prove something to Sawamura—he just wasn’t sure what exactly he was attempting to prove in the first place.
“Stop!” Sawamura squealed, voice high and bubbly, side stepping around the table while Kazuya was on the opposite side trying to grab him.
“You’re the one who wanted a chase!” Kazuya’s cheeks were hurting with how wide he was smiling. The laughter came out naturally. “So, I’ll chase you all day, gorgeous.”
“G-Gorgeous?!” Sawamura gasped, soft pink bleeding onto his cheeks. Kazuya took advantage of the sudden pause and quickly leaped over the small coffee table to Sawamura’s side. Sawamura reacted quickly and shoved him laughing and taking off. Kazuya growled playfully, sprinting after him again.
Once Sawamura moved to the kitchen, Kazuya had finally caught him, dragging him in by the waist and pulling him in close so that Sawamura’s chest was against his own. Sawamura giggled and tried escaping but Kazuya’s hold on him was tight. Kazuya snorted at the slightly pathetic attempt and lifted him up, earning a surprised gasp and joyous giggle. Sawamura’s legs kicked back slightly as he held onto Kazuya’s shoulders while Kazuya effortlessly lifted him up. Small little huffs of joy leaving Sawamura's lips while smiling dopily down at Kazuya.
Kazuya’s heart jumped in his chest at the sight. Sawamura’s flushed cheeks from running and the small puffs of air he let out were softly brushing Kazuya’s lips. Sawamura was so tempting. Kazuya wanted to shove aside everything on that messy counter to make his own mess out of Sawamura. He wanted to devour him, make him his, show him who he belonged to. He had so much he wanted to do to Sawamura, and it felt like he had no time.
That, and he’s related to his best friend.
That realization was like a cold bucket of ice being dumped over Kazuya's head. Slowly, he lowered Sawamura down, their laughter dying down and more of an embarrassed silence rising between them. He cleared his throat and Sawamura gnawed on his plush bottom lip. Fuck, he hadn’t meant to make it awkward. It was just—Sawamura was so cute.
“So—I caught you,” Kazuya said, attempting to break the silence. “Um, what did you get me?”
“O-Oh right!” Sawamura’s fingers danced against the marble countertop, tracing the lightly chipped edges as he walked towards a cake dome. The design was white with pastel pink accents going around the round shape. The little handle was circular, matching colors with the accents. Sawamura gripped the knob on the top and lifted the lid, revealing a…cake. The cake itself was a simple, round two-layer cake that was covered in a sort of light brown hardened frosting.
Kazuya blinked. A cake.
“Ta-da!” Sawamura grinned, doing little jazz hands movements while gesturing towards the dessert. “I made you coffee cake last night!”
Kazuya’s eyes widened at that. Coffee cake was definitely more tolerable to him compared to other sweets. He never really enjoyed desserts much. He didn’t have the heart to mention that to Eijun, especially since the cake was made by his own two hands. Coffee…He really paid attention to Kazuya’s likes.
“Well?! Hurry and try it, Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura beamed, taking a fork out and burying it inside the cake. Kazuya hummed watching Sawamura’s excitement fuel his own. He walked over, unable to truly stop himself from taking Sawamura’s hand that had the fork in it and bringing it up to his lips. Slowly, making sure to keep eye contact with the younger boy, he bit off the piece of the cake, gently dragging it off the sharp metal of the fork and chewed.
The cake was…pretty good, needless to say. It wasn’t too sweet and there was a good coffee flavor filling in between. Because the frosting wasn’t too creamy, it was easier to swallow, his taste buds usually strayed away from sugary treats. But the light bitter taste of the coffee grounds mixed in with the cake was just the perfect balance for him to enjoy.
“When did you have time to make this last night?” Kazuya spoke softly, swallowing the cake and licking off the crumbs from the corner of his mouth. Kazuya didn’t miss the way Sawamura’s eyes followed the movement, his own lips parting. Kazuya's mouth quirked a bit, attempting to hold back a smile from the abashed action. He’ll tease Sawamura later.
“I—well, you went to sleep pretty late, but I was determined to make the cake, so I waited until you fell asleep…That way I could have the kitchen to myself.” Sawamura muttered, a petulant little pout on his face while glancing to the side. He was obviously feeling shy, unable to face the fact that he had spent so much time and effort to make something Kazuya would enjoy. Kazuya felt his own ears redden, embarrassment flooding his veins. God, he was so adorable.
Kazuya let go of Sawamura’s thin wrist, which he had been holding onto, to move his hand over and place it gently against the side of Sawamura’s face. The small flinch of surprise from Sawamura that followed had almost caused Kazuya to pull away. However, Sawamura surprisingly nuzzled his cheek deeper into Kazuya’s large palm while looking up demurely through thick lashes.
Holy shit…
Kazuya let out a breathless chuckle, heart stuttering in his chest, and rested his forehead onto Sawamura’s. “You shouldn’t have stayed up so late…”
Sawamura—loud, enthusiastic, Sawamura— whispered, “Take your own advice…”
Unable to resist that tantalizing golden stare and those tempting cushiony lips, Kazuya leaned in. He tilted his head to the side, watching Sawamura’s own eye’s flutter shut and felt the warm minty breath intermingle with his.
“Kazuya,” Sawamura whimpered. A low growl at the enticing sound rumbled its way up out of his chest. He needed to hear more from the adorable little spitfire. He just had to move in a centimeter closer…
“Hey, I’m home!” Kuramochi’s booming voice had Kazuya and Sawamura’s eyes snapping wide open and served as an opposing force to pull them away from each other. Cold realization poured over Kazuya and the guilt that followed crept up the back of his throat. Fuck, I was about to kiss Sawamura. He swallowed thickly, trying to digest his own actions. I was about to kiss Kuramochi’s brother.
He could not let this happen again. Kuramochi, although an asshole at times, was good to him. He knew him like the back of his hand and was there for him even when Kazuya didn’t want it. And he was about to fuck it all up because of some boy whose smile reminded him of sunflower fields and eyes that looked like they were dipped in a river of gold.
Kuramochi’s heavy footsteps made their way into the kitchen. He looked up, ruffling Sawamura’s hair and leaning on the counter looking as if he just won the lottery. That’s usually what happens when he spends the day with Ryou-san.
“Hey,” Kazuya tried to control his voice, “I’m surprised you’re not dead.”
“Shut up,” Kuramochi leaned over the counter. “Not even you can ruin my day.”
Kazuya rolled his eyes. At least somebody was getting some action.
“Oh, cake.” Kuramochi looked at Sawamura and grinned. “Nice job, dumb-dumb.”
Instead of the usual outburst that would come from Sawamura, a quiet inaudible murmur followed. Sawamura’s face was still flushed and he looked up to face his brother with a small smile.
“Uh, yeah thanks. Go ahead and grab some—I’m just going to go take a shower.” He said before walking past Kazuya briskly, ducking his head and running up the stairs. Guilt chewed away at Kazuya’s gut—reminding him of his selfish actions and the line he almost tread, without regard to Sawamura’s or Kuramochi’s own feelings.
“What’s up with him?” Kuramochi asked, placing a slice on a plate. Kazuya almost forgot he was there, too caught up in his own thoughts.
“We were playing catch for a while so he might just be tired,” Kazuya said, voice even and nonchalant. Kuramochi was perceptive, able to catch a shift in a tone fast and he could not find out about what happened.
“Huh,” Kuramochi shrugged. “Guess that makes sense…Hey, Ryou-san was telling me about this party a kouhai of mine is having. Wanna go?”
A party…A party would definitely put a good amount of distance between him and Sawamura. They could think clearly without being so caught up in each other’s presence.
“Sure,” Kazuya smirked sleazily, leaning his back on the counter while crossing his arms. “When is it?”
~~XxX~~
Eijun was…confused. By the end of the week, Miyuki still hadn’t reached out about the—the almost kiss they shared. They were avoiding each other, only speaking when Youichi was in the room. It was frustrating. Every time Eijun attempted to get Miyuki alone, the taller boy would laugh at something, avoid the subject, and slither away before Eijun could stop him. Did…Did Eijun do something wrong? Did he misunderstand? Was what he was feeling that time only in his own head? Did Miyuki not feel the same way he did? They were so close— their lips barely grazed each other before they pulled apart. And Eijun just wanted to continue what they started but it felt like Miyuki didn’t.
Each step Eijun took closer to Miyuki, he would take two more steps back. It was like trying to talk to an emotionally suppressed wall. Not only did Eijun end up coming out looking stupid, but he also felt exhausted. He was running in circles around Miyuki. There was no other way to describe it. But what Miyuki underestimated was Eijun’s own stubbornness. He was going to take a jackhammer and tear down that stupid wall, building it back up again with Eijun’s affection and care.
Which is why he pulled Miyuki into his room once the man left the bathroom, strategically timing it so his nosy brother wouldn’t catch on.
“Sawamura—?!” Miyuki gaped, obviously surprised at Eijun’s amazing quick thinking.
Eijun lifted his index finger up to Miyuki’s lips to shut him up before he caught the attention of Youichi. Listening once more to hear any nearby footsteps, Eijun pulled back his finger and glared heatedly at Miyuki, ready to finally address what has been bothering him the rest of the week.
“Why are you avoiding me, Miyuki Kazuya?” He asked outright, sternly, holding back any yelling he wanted to do. Miyuki stiffened visibly, eyes hardening and raking over Eijun as if he was reading him. As if he was on guard against Eijun.
As if Eijun was the enemy.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Bakamura, but unlike you, I’d very much like to keep my brain cells rather than overthink on who’s speaking and not speaking to me.”
Wow. Eijun couldn’t hide the sharp pain in his chest, hurt written all over his face. He pursed his lips and hissed angrily,
“Don’t give me that bullshit.” Eijun shoved his finger against Miyuki’s chest. He was so done. He deserves better than to be treated like this. And he definitely knew he wasn’t imagining the blatant dodging Miyuki had been doing all week. “We almost…” Eijun hated himself for the blush that seeped into his skin thinking back to the moment. “We almost kissed, Miyuki-senpai. And e-ever since then you just—you stopped talking to me. You aren’t downstairs at night anymore and you won’t even look me in the eye. I-I thought we—”
“Sawamura,” Miyuki cut off, voice icy and low. “We can’t happen.”
Those simple words had Eijun’s heart dropping to his stomach, an unsettling feeling left behind. “W-What—”
“I can’t do that to Kuramochi. You’re his brother, and whatever…what had happened that time can’t happen again. You need to understand—”
Eijun tuned him out at that point, each word a severe crack to Eijun’s already breaking heart. His throat felt scratchy, a plethora of words he had wished he could say stuck in the narrow space, attempting to tear their way through only to be stopped. Embarrassed tears formed in his eyes, the ducts producing more than he could control. Before he knew it, they flooded, overflowing and running down his face. He looked away, not wanting to show Miyuki this vulnerable side of him. He didn’t deserve to.
Eijun was so stupid. Everyone had been right; he was too gullible—too trusting. What made him so upset was the fact that his own heart meant nothing to Kazuya. Rather, Kazuya was more focused on what Youichi would feel, even though Miyuki had been the one to initiate whatever feelings that had been growing within Eijun. But, instead, Youichi was the one Kazuya was thinking of—more focused on their friendship, regardless of who he hurt on the way.
Eijun supposed he couldn’t fault him for it, he, too, was extremely loyal to his own friends. But to stomp on Eijun like that? To use him like that? It was too cruel. Did Eijun’s own thoughts on the matter not even cross Miyuki's mind? Was he just…
“What about what I want?” Eijun’s voice cracked, wavering as the tears continued to fall down. Miyuki had stopped speaking once Eijun started to shed tears. Annoyed with himself, Eijun quickly wiped away the drops from his face, turning his head to look anywhere but at Miyuki,
“…Sawamura—”
Eijun couldn’t handle the way he said his name and snapped, “I think you should go, Miyuki-senpai. Good night.”
“I didn’t mean to—”
“Good night.”
A drawn-out sigh was heard before Miyuki finally left, the sound of the door shutting echoing throughout the room.
That’s when Eijun finally broke down.
He couldn’t stop the tears even if he tried. They came out faster than he would be able to control, streaking his face and dropping onto the carpeted floor. Furiously rubbing his eyes, weak sobs left his lips in an effort to hold them back. Eijun was so stupid for crying over a boy who didn’t think of him as anything else other than his best friend’s brother.

By the time Kazuya had gone back to Kuramochi’s room, his heart was heavy, chest constricted, and a thick, excruciating lump was lodged in his throat.
“Hey, you good?” Kuramochi said from his place on the bed, a console in his hand.
“Yeah,” Kazuya coughed. “I’m good. Just might have caught something.”
Caught feelings, probably. That shattered look on Sawamura’s face was going to haunt him.
What about what I want?
With that sentence ringing in his ears, Kazuya laid in his blown-out futon and counted the tiles of the ceiling. He’d rather do that than attempt to dive into a sleep where all he dreamed about was Sawamura’s tear-streaked face.
~~XxX~~
The next day, Kazuya had spent talking to Kuramochi and getting ready for the party that they were supposed to attend at night. Sawamura had, apparently, gone to Ryosuke-san’s place. He was close friends with Ryosuke-san's younger brother, which was why he left right after his morning run according to Kuramochi.
The ache in Kazuya's chest was back.
Staring in front of the mirror, Kazuya was dressed in a button-up navy blue shirt, some black skinny jeans, and a black bomber jacket. He left his hair alone and put some cologne on—trying to ignore the guilt-ridden expression he was sporting that was being reflected back at him. Each time he closed his eyes, Sawamura’s face would be there. Kazuya took his heart and stomped all over it, practically laughing in his face and shoving his feelings aside. The fact that Sawamura was avoiding him is something he deserved and couldn’t even fault him for.
But it was getting… terrifying how quickly Kazuya was falling. At first, Sawamura was just a pretty face who was fun to tease. And then the tables turned and Sawamura was the one stringing him along. Each time they were in a room together, it was like electricity was buzzing through the air—sparks flying each time they touched. When their eyes met, he would be soaring, head cloudy, and thoughts of bright amber occupying his brain. Then there was that smile, that smile Sawamura threw so casually at him. He would turn, see Kazuya in the morning, and just light up like Kazuya was the only one in the world that mattered.
The last time he almost felt this way was with Mei. But this was…this was different. It was like all those feelings that he had with Mei were on steroids whenever Sawamura came into the room.
And he fucked it all up.
“Come on Kazuya!” Kuramochi called from the door. “Jesus, how long does it take to smell like a fuck boy?!”
Kazuya sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, messing it up a little. He can’t afford to think like that. He had made the right choice.
Right?
~~XxX~~
By the time Eijun, Haruichi, and Furuya made it to Kanemaru’s place, there was already someone passed out on the roof. LED lights were strobing inside the house, the flashing visible from the lawn. Nothing screamed a party like obnoxious lights, loud trashy dubstep, the smell of booze, and drunk kids completely smashed on the lawn.
“I thought you said this was gonna be a small thing…” Eijun said to Haruichi, half horrified, and half irritated at the sight.
“I—It was…” Haruichi replied back, just as confused. “It must have spread out...”
“Loud,” Furuya grumbled, eyes squinting irritably. “Haruichi let’s just go home.”
“No!” Eijun whined, grabbing onto both of their arms. “You guys cannot leave me here alone! My heart was just put through a blender with a bunch of mini razor blades and torn to shreds! You have to be here with me! Best friend card! I’m pulling the best friend card!”
“Okay, okay!” Haruichi stumbled at the sudden grab. “Don’t worry Eijun-kun, we’re here for you okay? We’re not leaving.”
“I might.”
“What?!” Eijun yelled, letting go of Haruichi’s arm to shake Furuya’s shoulders. That inconsiderate stupid polar bear!
“Satoru.” Was all Haruichi had to say before Satoru stiffened and relented. Eijun gulped nervously. Dark Haruichi was a terrifying foe to face and not even Satoru, who had boyfriend perks, would be spared.
Haruichi sighed and gently held Satoru’s hand, interlocking fingers before linking his free arm with Eijun’s own. “Let’s go see if Kanemaru-kun’s okay.”
Eijun smiled and walked into the lion’s den with his friend’s right behind him ready to support. When he had gone to Haruichi’s house earlier that day, he had begun to sob once more, the memories of what happened the night before flooding his system. Haruichi, shocked but concerned, quickly dragged Eijun inside. Furuya had slept over and was just as surprised as Haruichi to see Eijun crying so freely. The two of them said nothing and only comforted Eijun by wrapping him in hugs and getting him a glass of water to calm him down. He didn’t want to speak about what happened and they hadn’t asked. They could probably guess though, understanding who had been occupying Eijun’s time as of late, but still—did not pry.
Eijun was extremely blessed to have such amazing friends.
He contemplated going to the party, Haruichi and Furuya explaining to him that it was okay not to go—that they could just stay home and watch movies or read shoujo manga instead. But Eijun was determined to attend. He would forget all about Miyuki by spending and having a good time with a few of his friends. Except now it wasn’t just a few of his friends.
No, instead it was the entire student body plus more.
Once they made it inside, the music that was just loud thumping before was deafening and vibrated against the walls. There were people dancing, some were on the couch just talking and laughing, and others raiding the kitchen. More people were probably in the backyard doing god knows what and he didn’t even want to think about what was happening upstairs.
“Wow!” Eijun yelled over the music. “This seems fun!”
Haruichi and Furuya both gave him an unamused stare. Looking back, Eijun could see Kanemaru fuming, yelling at whoever was controlling the music, shoving them out of the way before lowering the music to a less nauseating level. He also turned down the strobe effect on the lights, so it was bearable and more tasteful for a house party. Eijun breathed a sigh of relief. It was hard to think with music that loud. And the flashing lights just made his head hurt.
As if the change affected everyone, people mellowed out and a more enjoyable atmosphere was built. Eijun could definitely relax now.
Noticing Eijun’s demeanor changing, Haruichi smiled and tapped his shoulder. Eijun smiled back letting him know that he had his full attention.
“Satoru and I are going to go get something to drink okay? We’ll be right back.” Haruichi said, pointing to the kitchen entrance. Apprehension rose in Eijun’s chest. He pushed it back down and waved him off with a laugh.
“Wahaha! This Sawamura Eijun is a social butterfly! Don’t worry about me! I’m okay now! Take your time!”
Haruichi tilted his head, concern all over his petite face. Satoru, however, nodded and said,
“Just yell if you need us. We’ll definitely hear you.”
Eijun smiled and shooed them away. Watching their retreading backs made that anxiety crawl back into his system. But he couldn’t get in the way of their own fun. They already dealt with him this morning; he won’t interfere with their love life anymore. Eijun blew out some air, tapping his foot and peering around, likely looking as lost as he was feeling. He turned to see a wall mirror and appreciated his outfit change. Eijun was wearing an off the shoulder white top that frayed at the end with some jean shorts that stopped at his knees. Wakana’s clothes always had a way of making him look better than he felt.
His eyes roamed again, looking towards the groups of people dancing, watching with an embarrassed blush at their very…promiscuous moves. People were either dancing normally or grinding against each other—on the verge of ripping clothes off. There was no in-between. He turned his head towards the group of people on the couch. There were some people from school he recognized like Toujo and Kanemaru who were speaking to each other, others playing some sort of game, and this blonde guy with—
Eijun gasped and quickly ducked his head behind a lamp, the stand doing nothing to truly hide his presence. But he was unable to think rationally when Miyuki Kazuya was sitting right there.
W-What is he doing here?! Eijun thought furiously, zeroing in on his form. Fuck, he looked so good… Eijun felt a prick in his heart, a reminder for him to stop admiring and to start scrutinizing. Who...who was he talking so familiarly to? The man next to Miyuki was smaller, and had blonde hair that looked soft to the touch with icy blue eyes that seemed as if they stared through his soul. He had fair skin, pretty pink lips, and an even prettier smile. He was looking at Miyuki as if Miyuki was preaching about their lord and savior and he was the ever so devoted nun. Eijun pursed his lips, disdain and resentment filling his veins like a curse. His chest squeezed uncomfortably with… something.
He just…could not stand seeing Miyuki laughing with that man when Eijun was right there.
They seemed to know each other, there was no boundary there—anyone could see that. What if…What if Miyuki had pushed Eijun away because of that person? What if the reason they couldn’t be together was because Kazuya had feelings for someone else?
And he thought it couldn’t get worse.
Instead of overwhelming grief, Eijun began to feel hot fiery rage boil underneath his skin. Fine. If Miyuki Kazuya wants to pretend I mean nothing to him, then I’m going to make sure he knows he means nothing to me.
Eijun stepped out of the lamp’s limited shadow and walked a bit closer towards Miyuki's line of sight. He wasn’t going to speak to him, or confront him—last time he did that, he was picking up pieces of his confidence. No, Eijun was going to enjoy the party and if Miyuki happened to see him in the process then that was his problem.
He leaned against the wall that was right across the couch. Trying not to blatantly glare at Miyuki and the newcomer in fear of being noticed. He was still trying to make sure they didn’t do any funny business in front of him though. Wait? Why did he care? Miyuki made it explicitly clear just how he felt about Eijun. Eijun didn’t care who Miyuki hung out with or messed around with or did…things with. No, no. He was just…making sure that the other person was okay. Miyuki was a very shady person after all. A tanuki that messed with people’s heads. If anything, Eijun was spying out of concern. He was a concerned spy. Not a jealous spy. A concerned one.
“Sawamura?”
Eijun looked away from his one-sided staring contest to see a familiar face. Standing beside him was Amahisa Kousei. A pitcher from another high school that Eijun had played against. The boy was so impressed with Eijun’s pitching that he had requested—harassed—Eijun for his Line information. They became pretty good friends, all things considered.
“Amahisa?” Eijun blinked. “What are you doing here?!”
Which was a valid question, really. Kanemaru was on the wealthier side so thankfully he didn’t live in an apartment complex or in a house with nearby neighbors. A party that was hosted at his place was a rather exciting prospect. However, it was surprising to see people from other schools, let alone districts, at the same party at the same time.
“Raichi told me about Kanemaru throwing a party and I like, told everyone.”
Rest in peace, Kanemaru.
“So how have you been?” Amahisa asked, leaning his arm on the wall right next to Eijun’s head. Eijun really attempted to pay attention to whatever he was saying—but then that blonde snake put his hand on Miyuki’s shoulder—
“ Sawa? What are you looking at?”
“Huh?” Eijun looked up to see Amahisa’s face above his own. He shook his head clear of any stray thoughts and cleared his throat.
“Nothing. I wasn’t looking at anything.”
“You were totally just glaring at Mei-san right now.”
“What no I was—that’s his name? Mei?” Eijun crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes even more.
“Yeah,” Amahisa nodded towards where Miyuki and this Mei were sitting. “You don’t know him? He’s a year older than us but pretty well known in the baseball community as a pitcher. He’s a southpaw like you. Oh, and he’s sitting next to Kazuya-san huh? Those two used to date.”
Eijun’s heart dropped to his stomach and he felt his jaw unhinge. “They—they dated?! Wait, why do you know so much?!”
“Dude, it’s like, common knowledge.” Amahisa snorted and pinched Eijun’s nose. Eijun spluttered and pushed his hand off.
“Well dude, I didn’t know that! Where was I?!” Eijun yelled, hitting Amahisa’s shoulder lightly. “Why don’t you ever tell me the important things!?”
“Hey! I tell you important stuff all the time! Like, remember when the new chapter of shoujo manga restocked?”
“It was Kimi ni Todoke, which you still need to read by the way!” Eijun glared. “That’s why you’re bald!”
“Oi! Don’t bring that up!” Amahisa covered his head. “The blonde wasn’t working for me!”
“Whatever, Baldy!” Eijun stuck his tongue out and turned his eyes back to see if Miyuki and Mei were still talking. His heart jumped out of his chest when his eyes locked with Miyuki’s rage-filled ones. Miyuki was glowering, lips pursed tightly, and jaw clenched making his sharp features more prominent. Mei looked confused, attempting to get Miyuki's attention again but Miyuki's stare was dead set on Eijun’s own shocked one.
Why…Why was he…so mad…?
“Hey, you want a drink?” Amahisa leaned in a little more. “God, it’s loud in here.”
Eijun saw how Miyuki's glare deepened towards Amahisa’s actions and his white teeth bared slightly in an annoyed sneer. His arms were crossed, muscles flexing as if he was going to strangle Amahisa with his bare hands if he didn’t back away.
The gears in Eijun’s head began to turn, taking in Miyuki’s reaction to Amahisa and putting two and two together. He covered his mouth to hide his smile because he had Miyuki right where he wanted him.
Miyuki Kazuya was jealous.
With a smooth smile, Eijun tilted his head up again to look at Amahisa, eyelids lowered, and spoke kindly, “I would love a drink.”
~~XxX~~
That bratty little—
“Wow, Kazuya, you definitely have your work cut out for you.” Mei laughed, obnoxiously next to his ear. Kazuya’s eyes begrudgingly left Sawamura’s very enticing form to look at his ex and longtime friend. He hadn’t expected to find Mei at the party. His university had also gotten out of the first rounds, but he was usually the type to stay on campus and practice until he was running ragged. Much like himself. Turns out, Mei came back for a week to visit his new boyfriend, Itsuki or something, he can’t remember.
Actually, he couldn’t even care to remember because his eyes caught sight of Sawamura who was flirting with that bald-headed— wait, was that Amahisa Kousei? How the hell does Sawamura know him? Was everyone and their goddamn mom at this party?
When Kazuya had first walked in with Kuramochi, they had initially danced, laughed, drank, and overall had a good time. Well, Kuramochi had a good time. Kazuya was more or less numbing himself. Kuramochi got so shit faced, Ryosuke had to take him to go and grab some fresh air in the backyard. Kazuya was about to do the same before Mei had stopped him. The two of them sat down, relaxing and catching up. Mei’s new boy toy was at the party as well—more like a glorified butler with the way Mei was ordering him around. Classic Mei.
Kazuya was annoyingly sober now, especially seeing that irritating display in front of him—of Sawamura explicitly staring back at him only to continue flirting with that other guy as if Kazuya didn’t exist. Why was he so mad? He had no right to be. Especially after what he did to Sawamura. But a possessive part of Kazuya had him spitefully thinking of all the different ways he would punish Sawamura—these thoughts so dirty so filthy they shouldn’t see the light of day.
“Shut up.” He responded. It’s not like he could say anything else to Mei—he was right. He definitely had his work cut out for him if he was already having blood pressure issues whenever he watched Sawamura flirt with someone—act shy and blush—with someone who wasn’t him.
“Well, maybe you shouldn’t have been such a pussy and kissed him when you had the chance.” Mei shrugged. Kazuya mustered up the most unamused expression he could hold and narrowed his eyes at the blonde bitch . Mei hummed, lifting his drink to his lips, smirking back at Kazuya knowing well he couldn’t say anything back. Kazuya honestly regretted asking advice from Mei, but he had been a bit tipsy at the time and Mei, besides ‘Mochi, knew him like the back of his hand.
“How eloquent, Mei.” Kazuya snorted.
“Shut up.”
“You know I couldn’t. ‘Mochi—”
“Kuramochi would have gotten over it.” Mei cuts him off, his voice stern. Kazuya rolled his eyes. Mei was never really the type of person to let someone finish.
“It’s fucked up to date your best friend’s brother. I couldn’t do that to him.” Kazuya grit out, eyes wandering back to Sawamura like they always did—like Sawamura was a magnet that pulled Kazuya into his orbit.
“Oh my god,” Mei hissed and placed his cup down on the coffee table. “Do you hear yourself? Where’s the Kazuya that did what he wanted? That took risks. Hm? Where is he?”
“I can’t risk friendship, Mei!” Kazuya threw his hands up. “I mean—what do you want me to do? If I try and—I don’t know— be something with Sawamura—”
“Just say date, you fucking moron—”
“—Kuramochi ends our friendship and I have to look for a new roommate from the comfort of a hospital bed,” Kazuya pointedly glared at him. “Or, I don’t look twice at Sawamura, risk him slipping through my fingers, and spend the rest of my summer living awkwardly next to the object of my affection while sporting a raging boner.”
“…You are not this open.” Mei disclosed before taking the half-drunken cup from his hands and placing it down next to his own. “What? Are you tipsy?”
“I should be,” Miyuki groaned and rubbed his temple. Why was he putting himself through this torture? Normal people didn’t confide in their exes for advice on how to deal with their love lives. And yet, it seems as if Kazuya skipped the How to Have a Proper Relationship guide. “It’s the only way I would be able to deal with your bullshit.”
“Temper, temper, Kazuya,” Mei cooed and placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to shove him off only to catch sight of Sawamura laughing, leaning against Amahisa, and placing a hand on his chest. Just like that, like he had been in a trance and was just now snapping out of it, Kazuya realized two fundamental truths. One, Kuramochi will get over it because he’s only petty for a day and will only murder Kazuya if Kazuya fucked around with Eijun which he is not planning to do. And two, Sawamura Eijun is just as petty as his older brother and needs to be put in his place.
Sawamura's hand was on his chest.
Before Kazuya could think clearly, he was standing up. Mei took notice of his obvious jealousy and grabbed his hand to stop him.
“Just in case you need this~” He chortled, slipping in a packet of lube and a condom in Kazuya’s hands. Kazuya was too irritated to really stop him and just grabbed the items, stuffing it in his pocket and then, made his way over to the two. Kazuya vaguely heard Mei’s amused laughter but shoved it out of his head. Anger and bitter jealousy motivating each large stride he took, ready to give the attention Sawamura so desperately craved.
After maneuvering through the crowd, he finally made his way in front of Eijun and spoke, voice deep and full of wrath,
“Sorry, am I interrupting something?”
Sawamura jumped apart from Amahisa, eyes rounded, and mouth parted, recognizing Kazuya’s presence. Once he saw who was speaking, though, his eyes hardened, and eyebrows furrowed in irritation. Amahisa looked between the two, bafflement written all over his face at the unspoken…history…the two shared. Kazuya sneered as Sawamura stubbornly turned his head down to look at his feet.
“What, not going to say anything? Don’t let me stop you. You were having so much fun just now.” Kazuya’s tone carried a false sense of security—faking his sugary sweet tone and letting it drip with sarcasm. “You were acting up the whole night, trying to get me to come over, after all. Now I’m here.” Kazuya accused, a strange sense of satisfaction filling him when Sawamura snapped his head up to glare just as fierce as Kazuya’s tone.
“Oh, don’t flatter yourself.”
Amahisa slowly backed away raising his hands up and chuckled nervously.
“Uh, I’m gonna go grab another drink.” He swallowed thickly.
“You go do that—”
“You don’t have to do that—"
Kazuya's and Sawamura’s heads moved so fast to glower at each other, Kazuya was sure he had whiplash. Amahisa, thankfully, decided to head towards the kitchen after awkwardly looking between the two with bewilderment. Good, at least Kazuya knew he didn’t have to worry about arguing with Eijun while having to reel in his jealousy at the same time.
“What is your problem? ” Sawamura hissed, stepping into Kazuya’s face. His face was flushing beautifully with red hot fury. Kazuya wanted to shove him against the wall and kiss him until he was breathless.
“My problem?” Kazuya scoffed out a laugh. “You’re the one who’s trying to make me jealous .”
“I wasn’t doing anything of the sort.” Sawamura harrumphed. “If you got jealous, that’s on you.”
“Quit playing dumb, even for you that’s a new low, Bakamura.” Kazuya’s jaw clenched. “Just—stop. I don’t know what you’re trying to prove but you need to end it.”
“Prove?” Sawamura shoved a finger against Kazuya’s chest, pushing himself further into Kazuya’s proximity. “I’m not trying to prove anything! I’m also not the one who walked all the way here, used their man cologne—”
“Man cologne? Really Sawamura?”
“—Man cologne, to scare away a friend!”
“You guys were flirting right in front of me! And man cologne doesn't scare anyone! This isn't a fucking movie!” Kazuya yelled. Sawamura shoved him, trying to overpower Kazuya, however, Kazuya’s build was much sturdier.
“And? You don’t have the right to try and stop anything since you couldn’t even work up the courage to kiss me!”
Kazuya hated how his actions were being thrown back at him. Yes, everything Sawamura had said made sense, surprisingly. That didn’t mean he couldn’t be angry about it.
“You know I couldn’t! Stop being childish!”
“No, I don’t know!” Sawamura was screaming at this point, shoulders hunched up and shaking. “If it has something to do with the fact that I’m Youichi’s brother, then just say you’re scared and go!”
Oh, now that pissed him off.
“I’m not scared.” Kazuya’s voice was even now, dangerous and on the brink of exploding. Sawamura didn’t seem to take the hint and just stood straight, chest to chest with Kazuya, looking up at him defiantly.
“Oh, you’re not?” Sawamura’s voice lowered, eyes glinting mischievously. “Well, when my brother’s done holding you by a leash, let me know. I’ll be sure to call you once I’m finished doing whatever I want with Amahisa.”
The thread holding Kazuya’s patience snapped. He audibly growled —a sick satisfaction flooding within his veins watching Sawamura flinch—and bent himself over, gripping Sawamura’s legs. With the strength he’s acquired as a catcher, he lifted Sawamura off the ground and threw his body over his broad shoulder, keeping a hold on his legs.
“Ah!” Sawamura yelped and gasped at the sudden manhandling. Kazuya didn’t give him time to process exactly what had just happened and began to walk through the crowd, his presence forcing groups of people to make way for him. Kazuya’s eyes glinted through the glasses. Good. He didn’t have time to waste right now.
“Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura roared. “Let go of me right now! You—you stupid four-eyed tanuki! You absolute brute!”
Kazuya rolled his eyes and abruptly stopped, the momentum causing Sawamura's face to hit his butt.
“I was going to say, ‘kiss my ass’ Sawamura,” Kazuya snickered to himself. “But it seems like you did that already.”
“Argh! You are so—! Somebody, help me!” Sawamura retorted to begging for outside help to no avail. Especially considering the fact that he had begun spewing things like, “This man, whom I do not know, is kidnapping me! Will he murder me with his glasses? Probably! I am but a defenseless victim—!”
Kazuya felt his ears burn in embarrassment at the odd stares the idiot, and therefore he, was getting. Jostling Eijun around some more to shut him up, receiving an “oof”, in return, Kazuya smiled charmingly as he walked up the stairs. “Don’t mind him! He’s a special one! IQ less than the double digits! Poor thing!”
“Miyuki Kazuya you rude asshole! My IQ is obviously higher than that!”
“Could have fooled me.” He muttered under his breath, finally making his way all the way up the stairs and walking into the first room he could find. A bedroom—it didn’t seem like there were any personalized decorations, like posters or clothes. Just…a bed. A guest bedroom? How rich was this Kanemaru person?
“Let go of me! Put me down!”
Oh, right, he was carrying a loud-mouthed brat.
Kazuya, shutting the door with his foot, dropped Sawamura down onto his feet. Once Sawamura grasped his footing with a small gasp, he scowled and swung his left hand towards Kazuya’s face. Really? Kazuya, reacting quickly, took that wrist while shoving Sawamura against the door and used his other hand to grip his slender jaw to tilt his face up so he would meet Kazuya’s eye. Kazuya was done playing. He was going to make Sawamura hear him out and then whatever Sawamura wanted to do after that—have Kazuya leave him alone for good or have Kazuya fuck him into a stranger’s mattress—then Kazuya will do just that.
“Eijun.” Kazuya gruffly spoke, trying to keep his emotions in check or they would come rolling out through his voice. “Listen to me. Once I’m done, you can do whatever you want. You can push me away, and I’ll never bother you again, okay? Just…please.”
Eijun stopped struggling and looked up through his thick lashes, eyeing Kazuya with uncertainty. He took the plush bottom lip between his teeth, contemplating his choices—and making Kazuya wait tortuously long before he decided on his answer.
“…Okay.”
Letting out a breath of relief Kazuya hadn’t realized he was storing; he rested his forehead against Eijun's and shut his eyes. He racked his brain with the proper way to word everything he was feeling—everything he felt for the bright-eyed boy in front of him. He…didn’t want this to be a one-night thing. He wanted to show Eijun just how easily he made his way into his head and heart. Kazuya had spent millennials dreaming of the sun and with Eijun he was finally living it. Each laugh, each smile, each little quirk Eijun had—like twitching his nose or scrunching up his face—had Kazuya drunk on those endearing traits of his.
Inhaling deeply through his nose, Kazuya opened his eyes, gazing down into Eijun’s own vibrant ones he couldn’t get enough of and parted his mouth to speak.
~~XxX~~
“You deserve more than someone like me, someone who has commitment issues—who can’t think of anything except baseball and, somehow, surviving university.”
Eijun frowned. Well, this wasn’t going where he thought it was. Kazuya, noticing his shift in expression let out a breathless chuckle.
“Let me finish, alright? I…I know I’m not selling myself well. And I hurt you. I didn’t think of your feelings first and that’s definitely something I need to work on.” Eijun saw Kazuya’s Adam’s apple bob up from swallowing in some more air. “I met you, and you were just…it was like I was a kid again, you know? Not one worry in the world. I never had to hide who I was, you never made me feel like I had to fake a laugh or a smile…You’re like gravity, Eijun. Even if I try to fight against how I feel, you always drag me back into your world. And, at first, I was trying to ignore it, I tried to push you away with all these stupid excuses like how Kuramochi would feel or the fact that I’m only here for the summer.”
Eijun nodded, listening intently, affection blossoming within his chest and his eyes getting misty at the compliments. Kazuya was a jerk, a mischievous tanuki, four-eyed, bastard who teased Eijun ever since they met and had Eijun falling so fast, his stomach ended up in his throat. If Eijun was gravity, then Kazuya was everything else that made the world turn. He was the taste of fresh water back at Nagano, the air he breathed when he was in the fields, and the smell of the grass when he stepped onto the mound for the very first time. In as little as two weeks, Eijun had looked past Kazuya’s attractive appearance and found that he was just…a frightened person who hid his insecurities behind a shitty personality and a wall of sarcasm.
“But I don’t care about those things anymore. I want…I like you a lot Eijun. Give me the chance to redo our first kiss over again. I’ll make it better.” Kazuya insisted, voice firm and eyes not straying away from Eijun’s. Eijun bit his bottom lip at the promise, a rush of heat growing at his core and between his thighs. He slowly moved Kazuya’s hand away from his jaw and placed it onto his cheek.
Mustering up the courage to speak, Eijun nodded, glancing down shyly for a moment before gazing back up.
“Okay,” He said gently, a smile forming on his face. “Show me you’ll make it better, Kazuya.”
The confident shine was back into Kazuya’s amber eyes, barely hiding anything behind those dark lenses. Eijun shuddered at the pure look of desire that took over Kazuya’s face. The taller boy traced the pad of his thumb against Eijun’s puffy lip, tugging at the bottom of it, and slightly showing his teeth. Eijun sighed at the controlling action, eyelids fluttering shut out of his control, and heart beating rapidly at the slow, gentle actions.
“So beautiful…” Kazuya murmured, close enough so his breath tickled Eijun’s quivering lips. He wished Kazuya would just—
Before his thought could be completed, Kazuya swept down, making Eijun gasp as their lips collided in a flurry of passion. The kiss was soft but not at all as gentle as Eijun originally thought it would be. Eijun quickly became overwhelmed with the powerful movements of Kazuya’s lips making the kiss fervent and intense. Eijun let out a meek whimper, his senses overflowing with thoughts of just Kazuya—his hypnotizing cologne, his large muscled build—fuck he was such a good kisser. Eijun hadn’t even realized he had gone weak in the knees and needed to be supported by Kazuya’s arm holding him by his waist. The deep, rumbled laughter that came out of Kazuya, vibrating against his lips had his head soaring and his body tingling with pricks of pleasure.
Kazuya slowly dragged the tip of his tongue against Eijun’s top lip, making him gasp, and giving Kazuya easy access to slide the slick appendage inside of Eijun’s wet cavern. Eijun couldn’t help but moan as Kazuya practically devoured him, giving him no time to breathe or think of anything that wasn’t Kazuya. He clutched tightly onto Kazuya’s shirt, body heating up faster than he anticipated, and pulled him closer to sate whatever carnal need he was dying for.
With a wet pop, Kazuya broke the heated kiss, a thin trail of saliva connecting Eijun’s tongue had rolled out of his mouth to Kazuya’s lip. Kazuya sported a filthy smirk, licked his lips clean of the string, and pecked Eijun’s own bruised ones.
“Did I prove it?” Kazuya’s husky seductive voice wove its way into Eijun’s ears and had his toes curling in his shoes. Eijun knew one thing for sure. Kazuya wasn’t done with him.
“Yes…” Eijun unconsciously arched his back off the mahogany door, trying to tempt Kazuya into doing more. “Now prove it to me again.”
“Greedy brat.” Kazuya hissed, grinding his hard on into Eijun’s own. Eijun gasped, sharp pricks of pleasure running up from his cock to his brain. He mewled embarrassingly loud and ground his hips back, attempting to get more friction from the restrictive material of his jean shorts. Kazuya chuckled, leaning his head down against Eijun’s slender neck.
“Wow, Eijun~ Now that we made up, you’re acting like such a needy little thing… ” Kazuya purred, mouth brushing his skin. Eijun flinched feeling hypersensitive at every little thing Kazuya did to him. But it wasn’t enough.
“Kazuya, please… ” Eijun begged for something, anything. “Please, just—”
“Just?” Kazuya hummed, nonchalant. His hips continued to move in slow torturous circles against Eijun’s own doing nothing for his leaking erection. “You were acting like such a mouthy slut downstairs. I shouldn’t even be touching you right now…”
The derogatory term shot through Eijun’s head, needy pants leaving his mouth. Slut. Eijun thought eagerly. He called me a slut… Kazuya paused for a moment, eyeing Eijun’s expressions as if he was asking Eijun whether that was alright. After Eijun nodded, Kazuya’s smirk returned in full force.
“Flirting with that guy right in front of me. What? Do you always move on to the next best thing when you don’t get your way?”
So filthy. Everything that came out of Kazuya’s mouth was filthy and it was fueling the submissive part of him like no tomorrow. Heat prickled underneath his skin, the sensation overwhelming him with lust and arousal. He just needed—he wanted—
“Kazuya, please…I’m sorry…” Eijun whined, his grip on Kazuya’s shirt tightening. “Fuck me…”
An animalistic growl left Kazuya; his pupils so blown out that only a sliver of caramel was left to see underneath those dark-framed glasses. His lips were set in a wicked grin, foreshadowing all of the delicious things he was going to do to Eijun in order to make him a screaming crying wreck.
“Well, only because you asked so nicely.”
~~XxX~~
Kazuya couldn’t think of a better sight than the one before him at this moment.
Here Eijun was, naked on the guest bed, writhing and crying with absolute pleasure as Kazuya dragged three long fingers in and out of that tight little hole. Each slow, tantalizing push and pull had Eijun panting beautiful whines that echoed throughout the room. It had Kazuya’s head spinning with arousal, his own erection standing proudly, thick and pulsing between his thighs. He wanted nothing more to push Eijun’s legs up to blushing chest, testing the flexibility, while fucking into that, now, dripping wet entrance.
However, the more sadistic part of him was guiding him to draw this out more. To continue the snail-like pace, while stretching out Eijun’s soft walls at a delicious pace. Shoving his fingers in suddenly, knuckle deep, Kazuya was rewarded by Eijun’s loud erotic cry.
“ A-Ahn~ !” Suddenly seizing up, Eijun let a full-body shudder wash over him. “Wh-Wha…?”
Kazuya’s lips quirked into a self-satisfied smirk. Oh, so that’s where it is. Locating Eijun’s prostate was easy enough, it was what he was going to do with that knowledge that was going to be the fun part. Kazuya twisted his fingers in deeper, letting them piston at a faster, more punishing pace. A cruel laugh left him, eyes roaming Eijun’s taut pink nipples, lean torso that was glistening with streaks of his pre-cum, and cute pink cock that was flushed at the head and pulsing with an overarching need to be touched. Kazuya moved up to focus his attention on Eijun’s face. He was completely flushed, chubby cheeks red and seemingly warm to the touch. A small trail of drool fell past Eijun’s lips, his mouth open from moaning at Kazuya’s ministrations. And those beautiful gold eyes, black covering most of the irises, were glittering with the unshed tears that were just starting to fall over the edge and onto the pillows beside his head.
Eijun was such a fucking sight to behold. Kazuya’s own cock throbbed insistently, patience running thin. But he needed Eijun to beg. He wanted to hear from Eijun’s plump lips how badly he needed Kazuya to manhandle him any way he wanted and make him cum more times than he could count.
“Eijun…” Kazuya’s voice cut through the sexual tension—sexual tension that had built up since the day they met. “You were such a bad boy tonight,” Kazuya grunted, his fingers thrusting at a slower pace so Eijun’s head could reconnect with his body.
Kazuya watched Eijun’s chest rise and fall with each labored breath before a fresh wave of tears flowed out of his eyes.
“Please …” Eijun choked out, soft little whimpers following each word. “I’m sorry— I’m sorry, Kazuya! I was… mmn ~! I’ll be a good boy, I promise! I’ll be so…so good …~! Just…I need—” Eijun panted, gorgeous and wanton, eyes flitting from Kazuya’s face to the cock that was going to be entering him soon enough. Kazuya smirked at the obvious awestruck look. He really knows how to stroke a guy’s ego.
“Mm,” Kazuya hummed, shoving his fingers in again roughly making Eijun gasp and mewl. “That doesn’t sound sincere at all…What do you need, baby? Hm? You want this cock in you? Is that what you want?”
“Yes!” A wrecked cry flew out of Eijun, his head thrown back and hips thrusting up, attempting to guide Kazuya’s fingers in him further. “Yes! Please! Fuck me! I—ah~! I need it, please!”
Kazuya laughed breathless, just as impatient as the boy beneath him, and yanked his fingers out. Eijun gasped at the loss, mewling in apprehension as Kazuya grabbed the condom wrapper by his teeth and tore it open. He pinched the tip and rolled it onto his cock, thanking Mei for thinking ahead and sliding him a condom and some packaged lube before he walked over to Eijun. Using the remaining amounts of lube left in the package, Kazuya slicked his length and pumped himself, watching Eijun eye him with hunger. He was sure the same look was mirrored in his own expression.
“I’ll fuck you so good, Eijun…” Kazuya promised, gripping Eijun’s thick thighs in his hands and roughly shoving them up so his knees would be beside his head, bent over. Kazuya towered over him, noses barely touching as he slowly guided himself inside of that tight heat. Eijun moaned at the slow stretch, leaning his head up to bite Kazuya’s bottom lip and pull on it like the fucking tease he was. Kazuya groaned, eyeing him with unfiltered lust, as Eijun let it fall from between his teeth and bounce back into place.
He was so fucking pretty, staring up at Kazuya with lidded eyes, rosy-tinted skin, and that fucked out expression. Kazuya had wanted to start off slow, to cater towards Eijun’s every need and want. But the way his little temptress was acting, Kazuya let go of the reins holding his self-restraint and began to piston his hips at a ruthless tempo from the start.
“ Ah—! Ahn~! K-Kazu-!” Eijun’s eyes widened while he let out wrecked moans and sobs, and his face was just so… fuck this position was doing things to Kazuya… He could clearly see every shift in expression. The way Eijun’s eyes would roll back at a particularly hard thrust at his prostate, while his cock rubbed against Kazuya’s abs. The way he’d try and turn his head to hide from the embarrassment of being watched while being fucked. Kazuya wanted to ruin him.
“You’re so fucking tight…” Kazuya hissed, sitting up for a better angle, moving his hips faster. “So hot for me Eijun…fuck…mmn…” He slowed down, grinding hard into Eijun so he felt every inch of Kazuya’s thick cock rub against his walls and prostate. He loved this, this long drawn out pleasure he gave himself and Eijun. The feeling of his balls pressed up against Eijun’s soft ass while he was so fucking deep inside of him. He shuddered, feeling those same walls clench hungrily around his dick—wanting to milk him dry. With another sharp thrust, Kazuya watched as Eijun wailed, pulling at the sheets, and arched his back off the bed. He was already such a mess. His prostate was repeatedly being abused by Kazuya—no matter what angle he fucked him in.
“Fuck, do you even know what you look like right now?” Kazuya hissed, slamming his dick in and out rapidly, going back into that fast punishing pace. “You’re such a slut for my cock, Eijun. Just crying— mmn …crying and moaning like the only thing that you need is to be dicked down by me … ah, fuck …is that it Eijun—?” He rocked his hips in further, hitting Eijun’s prostate and balls slapping heavily against EIjun’s ass. Another high pitched moan fell from Eijun’s lips, spurring him on even further. “Ah—Need me to fuck you good, like the needy little brat you are?” He chuckled, watching Eijun jolt at the cruel words. Eijun’s little pink cock dripped even more pre-cum than before, pooling in the creases of his stomach. With a loud cry, Eijun choked out,
“Y—Yes, ahn~! K-Kazu~! Fu~! Pl…Please~! Nng~! Please~! I’m you—your little…! Ha~! Your little slut! Just yours! ” Eijun’s sobs had Kazuya’s head high on the pleasure of just having Eijun under his control like this. His possessive side was sated hearing Eijun admit such a debauched statement.
Kazuya fucked into him harder, groaning in satisfaction as Eijun continued to scream his name sending shivers down his spine straight to his cock. He was going to keep fucking Eijun like this. Until Eijun came just from Kazuya’s cock alone. Until Eijun could only ever think of Kazuya whenever he touched his little prick by himself, when he needed to rub one out real quick. Until Eijun would only remember back to this moment every time he went out with another guy that wasn’t Kazuya. Except...Kazuya wouldn’t let that happen anymore, now that Eijun was his.
He was going to flood Eijun’s veins with him and him only.
Eijun’s breath suddenly hitched, body tightening and legs shaking in Kazuya’s grip. His cock twitched, bursting copious amounts of cum all over his chest and some even reaching his chin. He came untouched. Kazuya watched with a twisted curiosity as Eijun’s erection deflated, weakly spurting out as much cum as It could while his cute little balls softened, still damp with lube.
Kazuya grit his teeth, holding back as Eijun’s walls tightened, constricting around his dick almost painfully. But fuck, it was so good. Feeling his own orgasm rise, Kazuya leaned down again, biting onto Eijun’s shoulder to muffle his groan while he came deep inside Eijun. His cum filled the condom, unable to experience the gratifying feeling of painting Eijun’s insides. However, it was better to be safe for now. He had enough time to do that eventually. Eijun was his now, after all.
Slowly pulling out his softened dick, Kazuya tied the condom up and tossed it into the bin beside the bed. He kissed Eijun’s tear-stained cheeks and smiled, feeling endearment settle within his chest at the impure sight.
“I’m gonna clean you up, okay? I’m staying right here.” Kazuya hummed, bringing Eijun’s hands up to his lips and kissing them gently.
“Okay…” Eijun sighed, smiling dopily back. Kazuya felt something strike through his heart at the adorable sight. He was just so perfect.
Doing what he set out to do, Kazuya went into the bathroom—this guest room really had its own bathroom—and wet a towel, bringing it back to Eijun. Kazuya then gently cleaned the dried cum off of Eijun’s stomach and chin, pinching his nose on the way.
“Miyuki Kazuya!” Eijun cried out, voice still nasally. Kazuya laughed and went underneath the covers next to him. He let Eijun rest his head on his broad chest, snuggling up close.
“Wow, you look like the cat that got the cream,” Kazuya smirked, pulling Eijun closer by his shoulder. Eijun went cat-eyed, blinking up at Kazuya skeptical of the playful tone.
“Cats like milk, Miyuki-senpai! What does that even have anything to do with right now?” He pursed his lips, so visibly confused, Kazuya had to laugh.
“Oi!” Eijun yelled, insistently hitting his hand on Kazuya’s pecs. “Oi, quit laughing! What’s so funny!”
“Oh my god,” Kazuya heaved, “It’s just an expression!”
“That’s a dumb expression!” Eijun pouted. “It doesn’t make any sense!”
Kazuya snorted at Eijun’s obliviousness, the stupidity weirdly more endearing than it was annoying. That’s his idiot now, so Kazuya will just have to get used to it.
“Just—go to sleep, Bakamura.” Kazuya sighed, pulling off his glasses and placing it aside. “I’m not explaining this to you right now.”
Eijun pouted, cheeks puffed out in indignation before he laid back down onto Kazuya’s chest. “Fine, but you’re explaining it to me tomorrow morning!”
“Sure, sure~”
“I mean it, Miyuki Kazuya!”
~~XxX~~
The light streaming through the sheer curtains hit Eijun’s face, disturbing him from his slumber. Blinking awake, Eijun groggily lifted his hands to his eyes to rub away the morning crust from his eyes. Moving his arms above his head, he stretched his body, trembling as he felt the tensions in his muscles release, and let out a soft sound. He cringed feeling the taste of morning breath on his tongue. It was uncomfortable waking up in a bed that wasn’t his. He looked to his side, to the body he was pressed against, and saw Kazuya’s peaceful, sleeping face—still as perfect as ever. Eijun would have found it annoying that he could still look so good while asleep if he wasn’t so into him. Miyuki’s eyelashes were longer than the average guy’s…brushing the high points of his cheek. His skin was flawless, jaw scattered with stubble. Eijun felt his face heat up at the sight, gently moving his hand up the sculpted abs and chest to touch the rough patches of hair. He let his fingertips draw small patterns against the scratchy surface, enjoying the feeling and the intimacy that came with it. Kazuya was so handsome. Everything about him, the way his hair laid messily on top of his perfect head, his narrow nose, cupid's bow—everything…
The memories of last night came flooding back and Eijun felt the embarrassment creep up his cheeks. Kazuya was…really good. Eijun felt sore, his ass practically killing him, but it was a good burn. Eijun hadn’t thought sex would feel so amazing. And Kazuya was still here. The warmth in his chest grew, happiness filling him and clouding his head with thoughts with Kazuya.
“Mm,” Kazuya shifted his head towards Eijun’s side, slowly lifting his eyelids and gazing at Eijun in a way that had his heart skipping a beat.
“Good morning,” Eijun smiled, continuing to glide his fingers against the perfectly shaped jaw. Kazuya blinked, squinting at the light of the sun and smiled back sluggishly.
“Morning,” His voice was gruff and low from sleep, making shivers crawl up Eijun’s back. “You look like you slept well.”
“So do you,” Eijun’s smile grew wider, leaning down to kiss the stubble. “I didn’t know you had stubble.”
“I usually shave before I go downstairs.” Kazuya murmured, holding onto Eijun’s waist and rubbed his back in circles. “Why? Like it?”
Eijun’s eyes snapped open, slightly humiliated at being so easily read, and lifted his head up to give any excuse he could think of.
“N-No! I just thought it was interesting okay?!”
Kazuya laughed, the familiar grating noise getting under Eijun’s skin again. He glared and in retaliation, bit Kazuya’s jaw. He was rewarded with a wince and Kazuya leaning down to spank his ass, making him squeak.
“Ow, you little—!” Kazuya grabbed his waist, flipping Eijun over and showing off the clear difference in power. Eijun laughed as Kazuya rubbed his stubble all over his neck, the tickling sensation drawing out the loud giggles from him. “Now you’re gonna get it!”
“Stop!” Eijun laughed, arching up and gripping Kazuya’s hair in his fingers, messing it up even more. Even when he would try and wiggle away, even though he would protest, Eijun didn’t mean any of it. He didn’t want this moment to end. He was so happy in Kazuya’s arms. Warm and secure. Just where he belonged.
“Oi! Sawamura!” A loud banging of the door interrupted the two of them. Kazuya and Eijun froze, looking at each other, fear swimming in each other’s eyes and the time spent in their little world came crashing down to reality.
They were still in Kanemaru’s house. They were still in Kanemaru’s house, naked.
“Kazuya…!” Eijun whispered hastily as they both tried to get up, frantically trying to locate their clothes. The sharp pains in Eijun’s backside made his movements much more sluggish than Kazuya’s. Kazuya had finished dressing first, barely pulling his pants up all the way and cursing under his breath as he helped Eijun dress himself.
“I know you’re in there, Sawamura! Dude, you can’t crash here! My mom’s gonna be pissed!”
Kanemaru’s irritated tone rang through sharply as Kazuya grabbed his glasses with one hand and Eijun’s hand with another. They looked like a mess and Eijun was pretty sure his shirt was on backwards.
“How are we going to get out of here?” Eijun asked, worried as the banging got louder. Kazuya stayed quiet for a moment, placing his glasses on his face and looked at Eijun.
“Once I open the door, we run okay?” Kazuya reached for the doorknob, his other hand still clutching Eijun’s. Eijun wasn’t able to process that statement fast enough and gazed at him, flabbergasted.
“What?”
“Three, two—”
“Kazuya, wait—!”
Kazuya opened the door wide, not giving Kanemaru the chance to even realize that Eijun had some company with him the night before. Kazuya zoomed past the stunned boy, rushing down the stairs with Eijun attempting to keep his pace.
They both laughed at the adrenaline rush and ran out of the house, sprinting past other houses and onlookers that gazed at them with confusion. By the time they had gotten home, they had laughed so much, they were leaning onto each other and Eijun’s sides began to hurt. Kanemaru was never going to look at him the same way again. And he’ll probably be embarrassed later, but at that moment, he couldn’t care less.
Finally, exhausted from running and laughing, Eijun and Kazuya were just eager to get into a shower and eat. Last night's events both emotionally and physically exhausted the two of them, and it was time to enjoy the rest of their summer break. While they walked up the small porch, Eijun kissed Kazuya’s cheek just because he could, enjoying the tight squeeze Kazuya gave his hand in return.
“That was fun!”
“That was terrifying.” Kazuya chuckled. “Now let’s hurry up inside before ‘Mochi—”
“Before ‘Mochi’, what ?”
Eijun felt his blood run cold for the second time that morning and slowly turned his head to the left, where Youichi was standing on the lawn, carrying a—was that a chainsaw?
“Oh my god, Youichi!” Eijun snapped, “What are you doing carrying that?! Dad’s going to get pissed you took it out of his shed!”
“Shut up, stupid! This is an older brother’s right!” Kuramochi hissed, eyes not leaving Kazuya’s form. “I told you not to fuck my brother! ”
Kazuya laughed, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. “Uh, no. You said not to fuck your brother in your house. And technically, I didn’t.”
That probably wasn’t the right thing to say judging by the way Kuramochi roared, starting up the chainsaw with a powerful purr and began to chase Kazuya around the house.
“You dirty motherfucker! I’m gonna kill you! ”
“In this context, wouldn't it be brotherfucker instead?" Kazuya chimed in as he ran. "Come on ‘Mochi! Can’t we talk about this like men— Woah! Watch where you’re swinging that thing you fucking maniac! ”
Eijun gaped at the scene, watching as it looked like something that came straight out of a cartoon and screamed, “Youichi stop! You can't kill him! I like him!”
“Really?! Him?! ” Kuramochi paused momentarily to look at Eijun pointedly. Kazuya blinked, baffled at Eijun’s declaration.
“Really?” Kazuya repeated, “ Me ?”
“I know!” Eijun responded, exhausted at this point. “I’m just as shocked as you guys are!”
The door behind Eijun opened, and Ryosuke—more commonly known as Onii-san—stepped out, holding up his phone with a self-assured smile.
“Oh, don’t stop now. It was just getting good.”
Eijun was too confused at this point. He just wanted to go inside, take a shower, and grab some breakfast. But instead—he had to deal with this comical scene and try and coax his brother out of his murderous rage.
Kazuya was just smirking, like he always did, arrogant and stupidly handsome that Eijun couldn’t even blame his brother for wanting to kill him.
“You know what? You can kill him, Youichi. I want breakfast.” Eijun frowned, crossing his arms. He wanted that stupid tanuki smile off his face.
“What?! Ei-chan that’s so mean~! ” Kazuya whined childishly. He didn’t have a chance to continue however, when Kuramochi began to chase after him again, releasing a terrifying cackle and basically looking like a slasher film murderer.
“Hyahahaha! Take that Kazuya, you bastard! Not even my brother’s on your side you manipulative asshole!”
“Mochi, come on! I’m hungry!”
“Then starve!”
Eijun sighed, looking at the scene with both fondness and exasperation. The two of them would fight it out and then come back in later laughing over something stupid. Eijun was sure of it. Anyone willingly becoming friends with his brother had to be the same way after all.
“Aren’t you glad it worked out?” Ryosuke chimed, glancing at Eijun.
Eijun thought about it, pondering over what he meant. Did he mean Kazuya and Eijun working out? Or Kazuya and Youichi? Thinking harder, he decided it didn’t really matter what Onii-san was referring to. Because in the end, he was glad he was here—with both his family and his Kazuya.
