It only took ten seconds for everything to fall apart. Which, to Peter Parker, felt like some kind of record. Now he's been turned to dust and thrown into green goo in a city on an Earth unlike his own. “Jaybird!” Dick yells as soon as he pulls the double doors open, and Jason can see the trail of little ducklings behind him.
Duke, Steph, Cass, and Tim are in a neat line behind Dick, and they all look miserable. They’re all wearing pajamas, each with their own tissue box. Damian is standing apart from them with his arms crossed, and Alfred The Cat is perched precariously on his shoulder, but the illusion of an upset healthy prepubescent teenager is very obviously ruined by a very red nose, and the pale pallor of his normally deep tan.
Dick is the only one who doesn’t look miserable, and Jason laments his own health and simultaneously curses Dick’s extremely abysmal culinary abilities and prowess.
Jason has no words. He wants to step back, away from the sick children. He wants to go back to his germ-free apartment and watch the newest episode of Great British Bake Off with Roy.
He takes a step back.

Peter tried very hard not to think about the fact that the socks Alfred had given him— very nice socks, objectively, soft, expensive, probably imported from somewhere fancy— had fucking seams. The bane of Peter's existence. His actual arch-nemesis.
And you might be thinking to yourself, “Peter, why don’t you just take them off?” the answer would be because, one, the fancy marble floor around here was cold as hell. And two, Peter hates how the floor feels under his feet. He can feel every grain, every carpet fiber, every unappealing texture… At least the socks make it more tolerable.
Too bad the socks still made him want to peel his skin off and froth at the mouth like a rabid dog.

Dick notices the bruises first. Then the flinching, the exhaustion, the evasive answers, and the way Peter always says he’s fine. It’s enough to make any newly discovered parent spiral. Dick is sure something is wrong, sure Peter is being hurt, sure he’s already failing the kid he only just found.
So when he follows Peter into an alley and sees him surrounded, Dick doesn’t hesitate.
It turns out Peter isn’t in danger.
Dick just… maybe overreacted a little.

Bernard used to not drink as much water, but Tim drinks enough water for three people a day so Bernard naturally has followed- and now Bernard has no acne so he’s sort of mad about it actually. “The main character has two hands.” Bernard chimes easy and teasing. “Polygamy is the awnser here babe.”
Tim peaks over the door of the fridge. “Oh? Is this you telling me something?”
