When he wakes up on the first day of the bet, Eddie doesn’t think about it. He shuts his alarm off and he yawns and he stretches, and he wakes up Chris and tells him to get ready for school, and not once does he think about it.
Chris is dressed, he’s at the breakfast table, he’s staring up at Eddie with his shaggy curls and his new glasses and he asks, “Can we have chocolate chip banana pancakes for breakfast?” and Eddie is immediately thinking about it.
