He lingers over the delicate lilacs, the tiny sweetpeas. He keeps a single forget-me-not in his pocket.
Beautiful, he thinks as he gathers his nightly bouquets. Beautiful, he thinks as he pants heavily, kneeling on the tiled floor. It hurts, but he cannot fault beauty for being beauty.
