Of course it's not because they're interested in history but because rumors say the manor is… haunted ! And optimus conveniently has an archive pass to get all 3 of them into the place legally. How convenient. But hey, at least he'll be able to study this place peacefully while his friends go have their stupid ghost hunting chase right ? And he totally won't get mistaken for the late lover of the ghost of the Lord of this manor right
