The embers of her resentment are barely enough. There is no song. No hope. The emptiness, the blackness, threatens to swallow her if she allows it. The stain of red, that she imagines across her entire body is misplaced, wrong; just as misplaced as the spear that was protruding from Rue’s torso.

    She does not know if she will ever feel anything more than this blackness, ever again.
