Summary
Ever since he was a little boy, Eugene Sledge had dreams of opening up a restaurant in New Orleans. He swore to his parents that he’d open up the best restaurant. Now a senior at Tulane, Eugene balances classes and his two jobs, becoming a workaholic running on caffeine and ambition.
Merriell Shelton, better known as The Shadow Man, is a Bokor in New Orleans. Having ties to the Ioa, Merriell knows how a thing or two about Voodoo and how to use it for good and evil. He’s selfish, spoiled, and arrogant. Merriell curses whoever he wants, sleeps with whoever he wants, and does whatever he wants. Besides, with his infamous reputation and friends on the other side, nobody dares to threaten him.
Of course, Merriell messes with the wrong witch doctor and turns into a frog along with his friends. He has a week to find a handsome princess, or prince, to break the spell or on the eve of Mardi Gras, he will forever be a frog. Both men have end goals; two polar opposites who were never destined to meet. However, fate has a sick sense of humor, one thing leads to another, and both men are frogs. And the life lesson? Never kiss a cajun frog.

The reviews of the movie haven’t been kind. Some of them are downright scathing. The articles that poke fun of Rami’s appearance are the worst, even more so when they include snide comments about his eyes.
They're the type of reviews that cause Rami to curl in on himself, distraught and distressed, making Joe insistent on reminding him just how much he's loved and cherished.
