I can’t believe I actually shot it!
The slingshot had knocked me down hard but I sat up just in time to brush my long curls out of my face and watch the dark shape fall across the light of the moon -its shrieking howl echoing through the sky as it hit the treeline on the far end of the island. My breath stuttered in shock.
“I got it! Holy shit I got it!” I jumped and pumped a fist into the air with an embarrassing adolescent victory shriek.
“Did anyone see that!?”

This started off as a plot copy/study of the movie Fall Guy and fumbled into something with real plot.
Nico get's hurt and leaves in the middle of his healing to get away from Will. A year later Camp Half-Blood needs Nico's help so he comes back to find Will incredibly upset with him for leaving. Can they forgive each other all while trying to find the traitor at Camp Half-Blood?OR:
“Get him inside!” there were so many noises, people yelling, and shapes swimming in and out of Nico’s vision. “Everyone Move!” Will’s voice pierced through the chaos and echoed in Nico’s brain. That’s when Nico realized how badly his head hurt. It was pounding, and there was a consistent string of shooting pain slicing down his spine. What had happened?

“There’s not exactly a barber around the corner here Solace,” Nico replied slapping Will's hand away and fixing his hair back over his eyes to hide his blush.“I’ll do it,” Will said simply, shrugging his shoulders and reaching out to grasp at the tips of silky hair falling past Nico’s shoulder.
“Hey, stop it this isn’t a petting zoo-,” Nico swatted Will’s hand away again before asking, “You know how to cut hair?”“Of course I do,” Will said matter-of-factly.

Summary
Everyone knew that love could heal. With just a kiss to the cheek or forehead, it could heal papercuts and little scrapes. And there were rules, of course. It could only be healed by a kiss, the press of lips to skin of the injured person. The more kisses shared between two people, the more potent the magic became. The love had to be mutual and genuine. The intensity of love altered what one was capable of healing. Stronger love could heal wounds that were deeper, concussions and diseases and gashes large enough to need stitches. Nothing much bigger, though.
Unless you were soulmates.
Soulmates were supposed to create such a bond that they could heal anything that afflicted their soulmate. The love between soulmates still had to be there, but the magic was more potent. The stronger the bond between soulmates, the more they could heal. There were even a handful of cases where a person had brought their soulmate back from the dead. A love so pure, so strong, so genuine, that it reached beyond death, that it pushed air into lungs and restarted a heart. All healed with a true love’s kiss.
These were just stories, though. And, besides, soulmates didn’t exist anymore.

“Fuck.” Shane melted into the strong hand at his neck, the pressure over his throat and the heat of the Alpha’s palm. “Fuck, that’s–” his eyes started to flutter closed, his knees going weak, but he heard the Alpha huff a laugh and immediately stiffened again.
“Don’t do that.” he warned. “Don’t laugh like me letting you put your hand on my throat is predictable submissive Omega behavior and you're making fun of me."
“That is not why i was laughing.” Ilya squeezed Shane’s throat lightly, his thumb pressing over the suppressant patch covering the Omega's bonding spot and blocking his sweet scent. “I thought you would fight it, fight submitting. But you didn’t.”
“No I–” Shane swallowed hard. “I like it.”
“Good.” Ilya smiled slow and a little dangerous, running his tongue over his bottom lip and then over the sharp ends of his fangs before he leaned in and growled into the Omega’s ear. “Now get on your knees.”

‘Shit,’ Steve says, takes a single step back, swallows. ‘Eddie, I’m so sorry, fuck.’
Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.
