Summary
So yeah, it was easy to forget that she owned his soul. The few times she's appeared to ask something of him she never demanded anything difficult. Just watch Hell and always be ready for her to ask for something bigger. But she never did.
That changed when the Princess opened her little hotel.
Or
Vox sold his soul to save his life and it's going pretty good for him. Until he's asked (read: forced) to spy on the Princess's hotel after his failure to takeover Heaven. Personally.

Summary
Seventeen-year-old George is already sick of Hamburg. Sick of the food and the pills, the eight-hour sets, and, more so than anything, sick of John and Paul. Their constant sidelining and slagging him off, treating him like a kid, the way they practically hang off of each other at every moment, speak to each other with just their eyes. He regrets even coming in the first place.
Then, he meets somebody.

Summary
“The girls have started calling Paul daddy, Eppy, what do you think of that?” John asks, cutting Brian off in that way he does, and it’s instant, the way Brian stumbles, blinks, flushes pink down his neck and across the long point of his nose. George presses his legs together, swallows, briefly contemplating tossing himself out the window to be pulled apart by the sea of girls outside, when Brian clears his throat.
“Yes, well, Paul’s always been popular with the girls,” he says, then frowns over at George. “Haven’t you washed up yet?”

Summary
George sometimes feels like he’s on a merry-go-round, all the lights and sounds and people passing too fast. Nothing that lasts long enough to hold onto, nothing that ever stays in focus. He’s waiting for the inevitable halt, when he’ll have to step off, but he worries he’ll be so dizzy he’ll just collapse.
The Beatles return to Hamburg in 1961. It's going to be good this time. George will make sure it is.

Summary
George tilted his head with an ease that belied his seriousness. “Don’t expect any Beatles songs. Can you imagine Bob Dylan singing ‘Penny Lane’?”
He let the question hang, lips curling into a smile. The air shifted, as if the moment itself was being dangled off the side of a cliff.
“Not that I’d mind hearing him do ‘Something’.”
--
1989. The Traveling Wilburys were on the road—a one-of-a-kind tour.
On stage, George could hardly tear his eyes from Bob. Off stage, Bob's hands seemed to find him without thought, as if pulled by a gravity neither had learned to resist.
But subtlety had never been their strong suit—and the others weren’t as oblivious as they pretended to be.
