headaches are the worst but at least Jungkook has his trusty mate to help ease the pain.
Jeon Jungkook, 26, mate for hire.
no catching feels for the clients and vice versa
potential mates need to fit a criterion: they need to have money to pay for the mating contract, need to be fine with sharing, have to understand this is purely business, and cannot breach the contract.
Or the one where Jungkook pretends to be people’s mate for the right price and it’s going fine until he meets Kim Namjoon and suddenly, he’s breaking every rule he’s set for himself in the business.
“Guess I’m Gollum then,” Namjoon accepts his defeat. “Nice apron, by the way, you look cute,” he comments, reaching out to touch one of the sides of the apron as he exits the kitchen. “It’s very intimidating of you, Jungkook-ssi.”
Jungkook gasps as he looks down and finds that he’s hearing his eomma’s pink apron. “Curse you, Namjoon-ssi,” he says. “I hope you like your pork belly poisoned.”
Namjoon stops in his tracks and looks over his shoulder. “As long as it’s from you, sure, I don’t mind at all.”
Jungkook tries not to seethe in his seat during dinner whenever Namjoon looks over at him and smiles as he takes a bite of his food.
Jungkook doesn't expect to come home for the holidays to Busan to find his parents selling their home to Kim Namjoon who quickly becomes his mortal enemy. Now it's a race against the clock to scare Namjoon out of buying Jungkook's house, because yes, it's his, and nothing will stop him, not the dimples, and definitely not Namjoon's cute laughing.
Jungkook gasps. “My dragon is awakening?”
The shaman nods. “It is restless inside of you.” He looks towards the fire gods. “But for what reason, I do not know.”
“You’re worried,” Jungkook acknowledges, feeling himself fill with worry as well. “Shouldn’t this be a happy occasion?” He asks.
“Hatchling, like I said, this could mean your shift or the greatest calamity of your life, it is hard to tell,” the shaman admits.
or, Jungkook, born into a clan of dragon shifters, has yet to experience his first shift.
“Jeonggukie, your husband's back!”
High on end game adrenaline Jeongguk threw his head back and laughed. He jumped up on the railing, grinning down the field at Jimin.
“Hey Jimin! Apparently we’re married!”
“Really? Can we honeymoon in the Bahamas?” He tossed the glasses, and Jeongguk caught them easily.
“Whatever you want sweetheart.”
Jimin plays for the New York Yankees. Jeongguk plays for the Detroit Tigers. They strike up an unlikely friendship that lasts throughout the season.
And maybe it becomes something more.
