I was rusty, but all in all I didn't think it sounded too terrible. I didn't dare glance up to see what my boys thought of it. But it's thoughts like this that catch my troubled head when you're away. When I am missing you to death."
I had been stoic and strong through this whole thing. I had to, I wanted to for the sake of the men I loved. They needed an anchor, and I was capable. But playing one of Dan's favorite songs now hit me so painfully hard that I was afraid I would just lose it right then and there. I got the strong sense that this would be the last time.

“It gets a bit lonely, though.” Mr. Lester added, once again catching Dan staring. Neither of them looked away this time. Dan held his breath while Phil held his gaze. “Being a young man in such an overwhelming career…with certain needs you know?” His eyes didn’t leave Dan as he spoke, and Dan was blushing a bright red. “Companionship…and such.”
“Yes...one would imagine,” the interviewer commented, unaware of the moment the two men had just shared.

Dan pulled a pen out of a holder on the table and tore a piece of blank paper, scrawling numbers onto it quickly. He folded the paper in half and smiled. He tucked it inside of Mr. Lester’s business suit’s pocket, smoothing his hand over the pocket before pulling back.
“What’s this?” Mr. Lester enquired, eyebrow raised in amusement as he looked down at the note.
“My number,” Dan answered, quietly. “I, uh—I get a bit lonely as well.”

When Dan is offered luxurious living conditions and the ability to pursue his art and drop out of law school, and all he has to do is be there for consensual sex with the hottest man he's ever seen, he's not about to turn it down. Confusing feelings and relationships be damned.
