Summary
The Sunshot Campaign was losing. It was only a matter of time before Wen Ruohan beat them into submission. There were rumours surrounding a force in Yiling that could potentially turn the tide. The place was taken from the Wen early in the war but no one knows by whom, known only as the 'Yiling Patriarch'. All forces that the Wen have sent to try and retake Yiling have been destroyed entirely. If he allied with the campaign then it could potentially turn the tide of the war. A messenger was sent to him asking what he wants in exchange for an alliance.
The response came back: the heir of one of the Great Sects in marriage. For the war to be won, someone must be sacrificed.

Taking a deep breath he straightened his shoulders and tilted his chin up slightly in determination, “I will do it.”
The arguing continued and Lan Wangji frowned as it seemed that no one had heard him, until his eyes met his brother’s and saw that his face had gone white with shock.

Summary
Wei Ying is not in bed.
Normally, Wei Ying is curled up next to Lan Wangji when he wakes at five. Wei Ying will be strewn about, soft limbs and dark hair fanned and sprawled, leg over Wangji's hip, arms wrapped tightly around his chest, and face pressed into his neck. Even in sleep, Wei Ying is a bundle of energy; he is always moving. Now, Wangji wakes to a cold bed, and no Wei Ying.
A series of sleepwalking episodes leaves Wei Wuxian refusing to sleep, and Lan Wangji at his wit's end on how to deal with them. It appears, however, that it is anything but simple sleepwalking. And there is no telling just what may happen if the episodes are left unchecked.

Wei Wuxian stares at him. “He what?”
“Going to kill me,” Huaisang says plainly. “You know he will, and if he does it here, his nephew will probably help him hide my body.” He thinks about it. “I hope they don’t cut me into pieces.”
“I am not going to kill you,” Jiang Cheng says from behind him, and he sounds tired rather than angry. Nie Huaisang turns with a squeal, and Jiang Cheng’s scowl is firmly fixed on his face. “Can I borrow your husband, Hanguang Jun?” he asks.
“If Wei Ying wishes,” Hanguang Jun says.
Wei Wuxian stares wide-eyed at his brother before scrambling to his feet, eyes too bright, and lips trembling.
“Yes, I wish,” he says, voice shaking and stumbles as he moves towards Jiang Cheng who catches him almost on reflex.
“Have you never learned to walk or are you drunk already?” There is surprisingly little bite to Jiang Cheng’s words, and Wei Wuxian laughs, but it is wet and shaky.
In the aftermath of the events of Guanyin temple, everyone is attempting to cope, and some people attempt to reconcile
