Summary
“We’re still getting married right?” he asks under the harsh fluorescent lights of the Hawkins Memorial Hospital. They've spent most of the time since the Gates opened at the hospital; Steve could barely get himself to leave Max’s room.
“I ate all the Ring Pops didn’t I?” she tells him, and he can hear the exhaustion in her voice. Robin laces their fingers together, they’re holding hands most of the time these days.
“I don’t want to die without marrying you,” Steve says, they had both gotten so close to death, the fear of losing Robin on top of all that they’ve lost already is choking him every waking minute. “It’s stupid because we’re not in love, and it’s a marriage of convenience, but Robin I love you so much, I want to marry you and I can’t do any of this without you,”
Or
Steve and Robin want to spend the rest of their lives together, they might as well get married.

Summary
Jonathan really hated hospitals. The only positive experience Jonathan has ever had with a hospital was the day Will was born.
Jonathan hated Hawkins Memorial Hospital in particular.
It’s been fifteen years since Will was born and Jonathan is once again sitting alone, outside a hospital room on an uncomfortable plastic chair.
It’s a different part of the hospital— he knows this logically—the maternity ward is on the other side of the hospital from the Intensive Care Unit, but the chair feels like it’s the same chair as the day Will was born, except this time, there’s no happy ending, Jonathan’s favorite person isn’t being born. Today his brother and his sister are crying in their friend's hospital room because Max may never wake up and the world is crumbling all around them.
Or
Jonathan, Steve, and Nancy comfort each other outside of Max's hospital room.

Summary
Katniss tastes like mint toothpaste when he kisses her, he probably tastes like the hot chocolate he made right after getting to the kitchen.
“Did you feed Buttercup?” she asks while looking at the empty bowl on the floor. She already knows the answer to the question, he appreciates that she asks anyway.
“I can’t resist his pleading eyes or his sad meows, you know this,” Peeta says “It’s why he asks me when you’re not around,”
“You’re a softie, Mellark,” Katniss’ voice is surprisingly soft considering she’s calling him a softie.
“I saw Haymitch sneak him a piece of bacon last week,” he counters.
Or
Peeta just wants to make some cookies, Katniss, Haymitch, and Buttercup keep getting in the way.

Summary
“Katniss?”
Peeta’s voice reaches her as he sits next to her on the steps and Katniss does the only thing she can, she buries her head on the crook of his neck. His arms surround her entire body as he lifts her off the floor and into his lap.
“I killed her,” Katniss manages to say in between sobs, “I killed her, I killed her-”
“No, no, baby. It wasn’t your fault,” he tries to reassure her while his fingers run through her hair. It’s grown out since she cut off all the burnt parts after Peeta came back home. He loves playing with her hair and she loves it when he does so, always delicate and careful with her.
Or
The Capitol announced Squad 451 had been killed, Prim believed Katniss was dead, she did the only thing she could, she went to the Capitol as a Medic.
After the war, Katniss has to deal with the fallout.

“It’s the leg,” he answered, his voice coming out a little shy, “the doctors said having no leg, means my body is always compensating for it and working harder, so I’m always hungry.”
She furrowed her eyebrows; It made sense when he said it, even if Katniss had thought he would have had to eat less because he had less body mass.
“I hadn’t realized you had noticed,” Peeta remarked.
“I noticed so many things about you even when I didn’t want to notice,” Katniss said while taking his face into her hands “Now that all I want is to notice, I see all of you Peeta Mellark”
And she’s kissing him before he can reply with something so emotional it would bring her to tears. Words have always been his strong suit.

Summary
A young woman awakens with no memory of who she was or how she ended up in the red-tinted land of nightmares, stuck against a giant pillar with her body broken. Her only way out seems to be her connection to these monsters in this strange, blue world separated from where her body was. She happens upon a strange, sentient creature that seems to know her, and together they set out to escape this "Upside Down" and hopefully return home to where they both belong, as well as finding out who she was.

The answer is obvious. They were never really friends, even when they technically were. Lena has zero idea how Kara plans to manage it now with all their history between them.A sort of retelling of S2 under the premise that Lena and Kara went to college together and dated.
